Despite having two years left on his deal in Denver, 10.3 mil next year, and a team option after that, reports came out that Paninikos, a top team in Greece, offered him a three-year, $36 million contract. And apparently JV was seriously considering it. Then it got messy. Greek media reported that Panetikos got verbal confirmation from Yonas’s agent that the Nuggets were going to release him.
