Busy busy busy. I got lots of information to share with you today on today’s edition of the Houston Rounds Bald Review takeover of the lunch break powered by J M and E Cougs Rice Rockets some Big 12 some Baylor Bears. Let’s see if I can get all of it in this 55 minutes to an hour of discussion here on today’s show. First up, little bit of an update regarding and it’s good news regarding Cougs in the NBA. Malik Wilson, this is as of, you know, had not announced all this stuff, so I want to get this in. Malik Wilson is on the Rockets mini camp roster. She’ll be in Vegas Friday first game. Eight Henson with the Me Memphis Grizzlies. Miss Wanda, how are you doing? Thank you as always. Conor her for her support. A ride or die supporter of the Houston Round Ber and all its platforms online, merch, print, everything. Miss Wanda is right there. Bobby, how are you? A Coug supporter. Got some info to share with everybody relating to the Cougs. I’ll get this out first and then get to some updates regarding uh men’s basketball and the non-conference schedule. You see Nate Hson there with the Grizzlies. Malik with the Rockets. Summer League, Rocket Summer League. First game Friday night, July 11th, 9:00 Central against the Clippers. That game can be seen on NBA TV. Then 13th, Sunday against Detroit basketball, 3:00 on ESPN 2. Monday, July 14th versus the Hawks, 3:30 Central on NBA TV. And then Thursday, July 17th versus Portland, 7:00 Central, also on NBA TV. Next, Rex32, how you doing as well? The Warriors summerly scheduled for Vegas. The Warriors have LJ Crier and JVA Francis. It’s a good chance to check them out if you miss them in the California Classic summer league. July 11th against the Blazers, 10 o’clock on ESPN 2. July 13th versus Utah. Hopefully Jawan Roberts is still on that team. The Jazz 9:00 ESPN 2. July 15th versus Memphis. Nate Henson 9:30 Central NBA TV. July 17th versus the Raptors. Jamal Shed is on the Raptors summer league roster nine o’clock central on NBA TV. Next, more Rockets. This is the Memphis Grizzlies summary schedule for Vegas. So, you can see Nate Hinton hopefully. Friday, July 11th, Boston, 3:00, NBA TV. July 12th, Portland, 9:30, ESPN 2. July 15th versus the Warriors. As I said, 9:30 NBA TV. July 17th versus the Hawks 5:00 NBA TV. Then Toronto, Las Vegas summer league schedule for Jamal Shed. Kind of curious to see how many games M’s going to play with the Raptors summer league squad. But Friday, July 11th versus the Bulls, 7:00 NBA TV. July 13th, Orlando 5:00 ESPN 2. The 15th versus Denver 7:00 ESPN Plus. And then July 17th, Raptors Warriors could be Jamal Shed against LJ Crier 9:00 NBA TV. And lastly, Jawan Roberts, Utah. Haven’t seen much of one with the Jazz so far. July 11th with the versus the Hornets. 6 o’clock ESPN because of Ace Bailey, Utah’s fifth pick in the draft. July 13th against the Warriors, 9:00, ESPN 2. July 14th against the Spurs, 7:30 NBA TV, and the 16th against the Wizards, 9:00 on ESPN. And of course, little tidbit of information. Each team will play at least five games in some league in Vegas. The first four from July 10th through 17th. After each team’s first four games, the top four teams will advance to participate in the playoffs. Oo, summer league playoffs. Beginning with a semi-final double header on Saturday, July 19th at three and then five o’clock on ESPN the second game. The two winning teams from the semi-finals will meet in the massive huge summer league championship. Woohoo! Yeeha! On Sunday, July 20th at 9:00 on ESPN. the four playoff teams, playoff teams, and their seeds for playoff games will be determined by winning percentage in each team’s first four games. The 26 teams that do not advance to the four team playoff will play a fifth game on either July 18th, 19th, or 20th. Yep. And I saw an email before the show that last year’s summer league champion, which I did not know until I saw this in the article in my email, was the Miami Heat. Oo. And how great did their season end up? Yeah. The importance or lack thereof of summer league. Okay. Next. Uh wh stop right here. Stop right here. an update a few updates on the Houston Cougars men’s basketball non-conference schedule. Rex, Miss Wanda, Bobby, feel free to share this right now when I say it. The Cougs matchup against Auburn will be Sunday, November 16th. Sunday, November 16th. It is set. November 16th. Cougs Auburn. The second of the two-year series. First game last year at Toyota Center in town, which Auburn won. Thrilling game. This year’s game will be in Birmingham, Cougs, Auburn, Sunday, November 16th. The network has not yet been finalized. Yeah, it has. I just can’t say it yet. Okay. But Sunday, November 16th is a date for the matchup between the Houston Cougars men’s team and coach Bruce Pearl’s Auburn Tigers. All right, one tidbit right there. Next, Cougs, Arkansas, December 20th. It’s still scheduled for December 20th. I heard this morning that CBS and big CBS, not CBS Sports, CBS is most likely it’s going to air the game. So, Kougs, Arkansas, December 20th on CBS. Because it’s CBS rather than ESPN, there is a decent to good chance that the game will still take place at the Barclay Center. CBS and Fox don’t have such a messy relationship as Fox and ESPN. So, there is still a chance that the Cougs Arkansas game will be will take place at the Barlay Center with the Women’s Champions Classic Double Hitter featuring Yukon, Tennessee, Louisville, and Iowa. also taking place at the Barlay Center. There is a chance that the women’s games will be held will start earlier in the day rather than in the evening. So, they’re working out the details. There may be some oh, how can we say Rex? Some money, some pockets being greased, what have you, whatever. But that’s a new name. Let me acknowledge this new member, new visitor, new commenter to today’s show. Coley Cole, how are you doing? Thank you very much for the comment. Thank you for joining the conversation. Don’t be a stranger. Come again on Thursday’s Houston round ball review takeover of the lunch break. So, yes, and notice what I said here, Rex. what I’ve said there’s a chance that all three games will be at Barclay Center on December 20th. What I was told that the gut instinct from one of my sources said yes, that is going to be the case. If not, then the Cougs Arkansas game would move to the Credential Center in Newark, but it will still be on December 20th. Madison Square Garden has the Duke Texas Tech men’s game. And Duke Tech, MSG, yeah, we’re not going to share space with Houston nor Arkansas. So Cougs Arkansas is not taking place at Madison Square Garden. So Duke Texas Tech is taking place at MSG and for men’s basketball that’s it that day. Men’s college basketball that’s it on December 20th at Madison Square Garden Duke Texas Tech. So the Cougs Arkansas game will be either at the Bararklay Center with the women’s double hitters. Women’s games may be moved up to earlier start times and then the Cougs Arkansas game will tip off maybe around 5:00. So apparently Gino and the women’s coaches are okay with the arrangement. We shall shall see. If that does not happen still, then the chance with the game, the Cougs Arkansas game would take place in Newark at the Prudential Center. So, a lot going on hoops-wise December 20th, men’s and women’s college basketball. So, may not may not be a lot of hotel space, but who knows? But anyway, that’s the new information that I received today. So, Cougs, Arkansas on CBS, KH HOU, channel 11 here in Htown, big CBS. That’s the setup. Not on ESPN. So, that does help ease the possibilities of CBS trucks, Fox trucks being at Barclay Center near the same time and whatever won’t be too much of an issue. So, keep that in mind. Cougs Arkansas CBS December 20th and it’s it’s a standalone game. It’s not part of an event, a classic or anything like that. It’s a standalone matchup. Cougs Arkansas still December 20th. Barlay Center, they have worked that out or in a process of ironing out potential conflicts with the women’s Champions Classic double hitter. If folks finally is the folks lastly say nope, can’t do it, don’t want to do it, then Newark will be the location for I think the credential center. So there you go on that. Just want to get that out there. But yes, first thing that I mentioned about the Cougs non-conference updates. Cougs Auburn, Sunday, November 16th. That is the date. Sunday, November 16th. Put it on Twitter. Put it on Facebook. Put it in your group chat. Whatever your message boards. Yes. Sunday, November 16th. And if you’re questioning me, shame on you. Next. I mentioned this last Thursday when I had technical issues. Well, the neighborhood had wifi issues. I didn’t have the slide. I got the slide now. But I’ll get to this. Check all this, Miss Wanda. Let me go back. Let me get some the shocking news first. Rex, in case you did not see this, Bobby, if you didn’t see this, look at this. Cool. Cole, I’m not sure if you’re a Coug supporter, Cougal alum, Coug student, I don’t know, but this right here, I’m getting southern, getting country. This right here, this here, Brooklyn Haywood announces the dates for her her five official visits. 59 Guard Union High School in the state of Washington. Her five visits Baylor, North Carolina, Utah, Houston, and Oregon. Again, Baylor, North Carolina, Utah, Houston, and Oregon. Brooklyn Haywood is ranked 26th in the country by ESPN and she has an official visit scheduled for Matthew Mitchell, head coach of the Houston Cougars women’s team and staff on September 19th. Again, one more time. And Bobby says it well. That reaction to me also when I heard that yesterday I think it was yesterday or Tuesday and Rex again great sentiment. Wow. U is the same list as those other schools. Yes. And then Queen Pulk summarized it beautifully. Unbelievable. But believe it. Baylor, North Carolina, Utah, Oregon, and Houston are among Brooklyn Haywood, one of the top 30 players in the country for the class of 2026. Has the Houston Cougars as an official visit. Three of those five are Big 12 schools, which is also a good sign for the Big 12. I’m not I’d be shocked if she chose Houston. It’d be great if she did, obviously. But the fact that a top 26 women’s basketball player has scheduled an official visit with firstear head coach at Houston, Matthew Mitchell, and his staff speaks volumes for the direction of this program. So onward and upward. Next, this news is old to me, but I heard about it this week. Olivia Mccoral, 5A guard, class of 2026, committed to the Cougs on June 6th. Mccoral from Bedonorf High School in Bedonorf, Iowa, averaged 20.6 six points per game, 42% from the floor, 82% from the line as a junior for the Bulldogs last year. Also averaged 5.3 rebounds, 4.8 steals, and 2.6 assists per game while committing under a turnover per night. She’s considered one of the top guards in the state of Iowa. committed to the Cougs. A player from Iowa in Iowa committed to the Houston Cougars already. I saw a little video interview of her yesterday. She said one of the reasons she chose Houston, the city of Houston. She likes southern atmosphere, southern culture, and she wants to get away from the Iowa Winters and the Iowa Coals, but she also wants to play fastpac and play this the style of play she plays for the Chicago Mac Irvan Fire Aaou team. She likes playing fast, getting after it on defense. She broke her own school record last season with a 40point game, a 40 piece. In roughly a 15 and 18 game season, she scored more than 400 points onward and upward. Next, Gemma Hunter from Australia, mate. signed with the Cougs and she’s going to play this season. Gemma’s from Gold Coast, Queensland in Australia. She’s going to enroll at uh next month and be a member of the Cougs 2526 squad. Not the stats I found on her, not not a lot of details of Pacific specifics, but I think she’s 18. She’s tall and thin, but she provide Houston with some height. Generation hater, how you doing? But yes, so I’m not sure where you joined. If you missed it, hater, thank you for joining the conversation. We’ll get to Rockets a little bit momentarily, but Olivia Mccoral committed to the Cougs June 6th. Look at those numbers. is high school and that her level it’s like Iowa 5A. So I think Iowa has a 6A level I think but I’m not sure but she can hoop. So that news combined with the first bit of news for Houston Cougars women’s basketball, Brooklyn Haywood, ranked 26th in the country, according to ESPN, has scheduled an official visit with the Houston Cougars women’s basketball team. And look at those other four, Baylor, North Carolina, Utah, and Oregon. So, Coach Mitchell, to be among those other four programs, that speaks volumes of where Houston Cougars women’s basketball is headed. I think it also indicates most likely some of that revenue share money that women’s basketball is going to get. That’s going to help. Coach Mitchell’s connections in the corporate sector are helping onward and upward for the Houston Cougars women’s basketball program. But alas, but alas, last season. Look at the home attendance numbers for the H-Town area women’s college basketball teams. This is the average attendance numbers. Houston 15 games 892. Houston Christian 331. Prayer View 162. Rice 778. Texas Southern 798. Not one of those five Houston area women’s college basketball teams averaged averaged 1,000 fans per game last year. You add all that up, it pales pales in comparison to the attendance averages for the big time programs like Yukon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Iowa. Got a long way to go for Htown Women’s College Hoops and still a long way to go to to make one of my dreams come true and have the WNBA return to Houston. And WNBA fans are not women’s college basketball fans, but based on these numbers, you see that already. So there is a synergy that needs to be developed between Tilman and WNBA and the Acetown women’s college basketball teams. There is work to be done. Midnight Ace, how are you doing? Glad work should be a breeze for you. Good. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Next, I’m slowly moving down the line of all this info. This was announced Wednesday. My alma mater announced the launching of the Nance Leadership Society. Hello friends. University of Houston Athletics is excited to unveil its new philanthropic giving society, the Nance Leadership Society, NLS, named in appreciation for Cougar men’s golf alumnist and legendary Emmy awardwinning sports broadcaster Jim Nance, class of 1981. announced on Wednesday, the society will directly impact the experience of student assets and act as a driving force in the university’s pursuit of Big 12 Conference and National Championships. Mad, no, not happen. Not at all. With its members deeply committed to advancing the athletics department, Bobby, Miss Wanda, I think you’ll like this part right here. I like this part. The Nance Leadership Society will recognize individuals who make commitments of $25,000 or more payable over five years. The part I like is there will be six giving tiers ranging from $25,000 to 1 million plus. Six giving tiers. So, it sounds like people over at Houston Athletics have taken the advice of me, Andy, Deon, my brother’s part of the Let’s Rage Cougs family, and have opened up the giftgiving possibilities and not just going to the mega wealthy folks. Other folks have money too, might not have as much, but they want to contri contribute to. So, give them the opportunity. each offering unique experiences throughout the athletic year. From game day activities to exclusive excursions with various programs, these major gift contributions are above and beyond donations for football and men’s basketball seating as well as unrestricted annual gifts to Cougar Pride. The society will focus on three pillars of giving excellence. the AD Excellence Fund, Student Athlete Success Fund, and Facilities Initiatives. The AD Excellence Fund will address strategic opportunities and initiatives across the athletics department by providing philanthropic dollars to assist in the areas of greatest need. The student athlete student asset as I say it success fund provides support for the overall experience and holistic growth of our student assets. This fund enhances the areas of student asset development, sports medicine and performance, nutrition, mental health and community engagement. The Houston Athletics Facilities Initiative will boast bolster our ability to continue to set the standard for premier athletic facilities. It is imperative for the department to deliver a first class experience for our students. In recognition of their generous support, members of the society will gain access to exclusive stewardship opportunities personalized to achieve first of its kind alignment with Houston athletics. The society will be structured and awarded based on six distinct tiers of generosity, all of which are taxdeductible. So, that is good, good news. I And I like I said one more time once again, I love I love the fact that there are six giving tiers. I love that. And as Rex states right here, $25,000 in five years. That’s 5,000 a year minimum. Definitely will open up to more donors. It should. Yes. So it does sound like they are listening to us. Agreed, Bobby. Thank you for saying that. And it is tax deductible. Also positive. This question I don’t know. I have not I’m not sure if he is or not. Nardo, welcome to the show. bottom of the not quite bottom of the hour. Let see if I can squeeze this in because it’s football related. Rex are going to love this and then after the promo bottom of the hour we’ll come back talk some rockets and some Big 12 Rice football. And let me figure out what I’m doing here if I know what I’m doing. There we go. Get rid of that and show this. Tuesday, Rice Football announced three additions to the Owls future schedules with a home and home series with Duke and a second meeting with Houston Christian. The Owls and Blue Devils will meet for the seventh time in history and the first time since 2003 on September 4th, 2027 at Rice Stadium and then complete the series with a game in Durham, North Carolina on September 7th, 2030. Rice and Houston Christian who will meet for the first time in football in the 2026 opening game September 5th have added a second game to be played on September 1st, 2029. The addition of the game with Duke completes Rice’s 2027 non-conference schedule as the Owls will follow the opener with the Blue Devils by hosting Fresno State on September 11th and Lamar on September 18th before wrapping up the non-conference slate at Western Michigan on September 25th. Rice and Duke first met in football in 1957 when the Blue Devils won 76 at Rice Stadium. Duke also won games in 1959, 1965, and 1992 before Rice broke through with a 1513 win at Rice Stadium on September 8th, 2001. The Blue Devils won the most recent meeting 2724 in overtime in Durham in 2003. Are you impressed? Are you like me? Whatever. Big 12 and WWE announced another partnership. Hippie yippy yo yipp toe. Yippi yipp tie. Yay. Yippy yo. Yeah. Huray hooray. That a good thing. Make it say h whatever. But here’s the information. Wednesday, WWE and Big 12 and the Big 12 Conference announced an expansion to the multiaceted partnership that will see Friday Night Smackdown broadcast from Big 12 markets on the eve of four conference football games throughout the 2025 season. The first Smackdown will be held. Now, this is what really got me. The first Smackdown will be held on Friday, August 22nd at 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland, a day before the 30th year of Big 12 football kicks off with a week zero matchup between the Iowa State Cyclones and Kansas State Wildcats in the Ara Lingus College Football Classic on Saturday, August 23rd at Aviva Stadium. Rex32 says, “WWE is a large entertainment company. I’m fine with it. The partnership, the alliance, the partnership between the Big 12 Conference and WWE. Here are the dates, the other three dates. Friday, October 3rd, Smackdown in Cincinnati. Iowa State at the Bearcats. Game on Saturday, October 4th. Friday, October 24th in Tempe, Arizona. The Cougs at Arizona State on Saturday, October 25th. And then the fourth, Smackdown, Friday, October 31st at Delta Center in Salt Lake City day before Cincinnati at Utah on Saturday, November 1st. All right. NBA announced the group assignments for the 2025 cup, the inseason tournament. Yay! Yay! Yay! Rockets are in group C. of the teams in group C. The Nuggets, the Warriors, the Blazers, and the Spurs. NBA Cup will tip off on Friday, October 31st. Group C teams again, Rockets, Nuggets, Warriors, Blazers, Spurs, and then Rody Cougs. I see you. I see that. I’ll answer that in a second. Rockets home versus Denver and Portland. And on the road versus the Spurs and the Warriors. The complete game and broadcast schedules for group play will be announced in August. So lastly, group C, Rockets, Nuggets, Warriors, Blazers, Spurs, and there are the matchups. There are the groups. Group A, OKC, Minnesota, Sacramento, Phoenix, and Utah. Group B in the West, Lakers, Clippers. That’s interesting. Memphis, Dallas, Nepals, East Group A, Cavs, Pacers, Hawks, Raptors, Wizards, East Group B, Celtics, Pistons, Magic, Brooklyn, Philly, East Group C, Knicks, Bucks, Bulls, Heat, Hornets. Rex says the the Knicks got the easiest group on paper. on paper. Generational hater says most NBA fans say group C is toughest, but that’s also because the Rockets are in it. Rody Cougs, let me put my tiny ball head here on the screen. Big screen. Rody Cougs asked, “Any updates on the football operation center and will there be any event for fans or media?” in terms of for the the operation center or for like a football kick kickoff kind of thing for the fans like uh that’s in the works. Yes. I’m not sure if the media will get another tour of the football ops center once it’s complete. I need to reach out to everybody over there and find out. And when I do, I will add that and I will share probably in a video little what what I call my Houston round ball review 109s between two and five minutes something like that. Just a video update that uh shares info that I’ve learned. So things like that. Vardo looking forward to MPJ playing for Brooklyn. Going to be nice look for him. one of the smoothest jumper jump shots maybe media. Yeah, I don’t Yeah, for football ops, I don’t think anything’s going to be for the fans. Now, in terms of opening the season, party time, things like that. I hope so. They better got to do something to get the fans engaged. I saw that they announced the individual season individual game packages for football and includes I think you can get a jersey for part of the promotions. I think is a Hispanic alumni night on September 12th for the Friday game against Colorado. Should be a huge crowd. Should be a sellout. Period. Should be a sellout. Cruz against Colorado. Should be a sellout. And then the blue nigh game is I think Texas Tech. That be a sellout every home game. Coug alums, Coug family. I’m a diehard, loyal, red to my core, proud Houston Cougar alum. We We hear what I said. We need to do better and sell out the football games, the home games. We are in the Big 12 now. We clamored for being in a bigger conference, being a part of the Power Four. We’re in that now. Show up to the games, the football games. Sell out the games, please. Let’s start doing that. Paul, I I Hey, Paul, I don’t know about that. I mean, whatever. That’s a rumor. I mean, hey, I don’t know. Jaylen’s agent. Hey, whatever. Um, this is true. That’s everybody. Everybody in the Big 12, everyone in college football knows this. Understand this. It’s a recruiting opportunity playing in Houston. Playing Houston. In Houston. Yes. I think Dion had a couple of guys on the team from Houston. So, yes, it is important fans, alums, buy your tickets and be at the stadium. And I think it’s going to still be TDCU for a while, for another season. So, come on. Please, please, please, please, please, please. Queen Wanda Poke says there is an event in August that may include a football operations center tour. They are still working on that event. She is a connected supporter of Houston athletics and not just the Houston round ball review. So, she knows what she’s talking about. Going to try and have an interview with Let’s say hopefully either Alvin Franklin or Mr. Eddie Nunees within the next few weeks regarding updates like this. So, we’re kind of get all that going on and I’ll share that with you as well. Alvin Franklin at least once a year, once twice a year, he takes time to speak with me. And of course, y’all saw the interview with I did with Eddie Nunees. If not, it’s available on the Houston Round Barview YouTube channel. Check it out. A lot of the information there is still still current, still applies. And I’ll do more with him going forward. Now, this is different. Tony, how are you doing? Focus. I’m not I don’t really care about getting the players personalized, wives, girlfriends, what whatever. Who? Who? Who? your your job as a pro is to play basketball. Don’t let your outside life interfere with your basketball. Period. I’m just going to leave it at that. All right. As I do cover more than just Htown, I’m going to share this. Baylor is in the Big 12 just like the Cougs. Memphis is in the American like Rice for now. Still talk about Memphis and Rice andor UTSA going to the Pack 12. I doubt it unless the money the money’s right. But Baylor and Memphis men’s basketball announced a 4game series. That’s two good basketball teams. Looking forward to those matchups. Baylor men’s basketball announced a 4-year non-conference series with the Memphis Tigers on Monday, set to begin this year, this season. The Bears will meet the Tigers on December 6th, 2025 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis. The Cougars are playing Florida State on December 6th at Toyota Center. Just dropping that by as well. Baylor Memphis December 6 3:30 p.m. Central time televised on CBS. Have not heard a TV match up TV network for the Cougs for the state game. But the following year, Memphis will travel to Waco on December 5th, 2026 and compete at Foster Pavilion. During the 2027-28 season, Memphis will return to Baylor. Final game in the series will take place in the 28-29 campaign at Memphis in the Fed X Forum. Baylor and Memphis have only faced each other eight times in program history and only once in the Scott Drew era. The last matchup was November 27th, 2014 at the Las Vegas Invitational where the Bears won 7147. Memphis holds the overall series record with a 6-2 advantage over Baylor, one of just five schools to be ranked inside the top 10 in each of the last six seasons. Baylor is coming off a school record sixth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance. In addition to extending the nation’s fifth longest active postseason streak, the BU won a tournament game for a sixth straight year, becoming one of just three teams in the country to boast that distinction. So there are the dates right there for the series. December 6th this year at Memphis. December 5th next year, Memphis at Baylor. 2728 season at Baylor. And then 2829 at Memphis. Baylor is expected to unveil the remainder of its schedule later this summer. And a reason that is another reason why I put that on the screen because later this summer for Baylor equates to later this summer for Houston because the Big 12 is still ironing out their matchups, conference matchups, TV matchups. last year. I think the schedule everything was not announced until mid August. So, keep that in mind. Rex says, “Rooting for Baylor all series.” Big 12 teams. Coug fans, you should root for every Big 12 team in games that they play except when they play Houston because the more those Big 12 teams win, the better it is for the conference, which also means it’s better for Houston. Now, the Cougs of course will do their part and win a lot of games, but that rising tide floats all boats. All right, few more minutes as we wind it down on this edition of the Houston Round Ball Review Takeover. I made a mistake and I wanted to put this on the screen. Let me see if this is the right one. Yes, last Thursday I had one of the four teams wrong for the inaugural players era festival women’s basketball event. Matt the team is participating this November. Thanksgiving and Friday, Duke, South Carolina, Texas, and UCLA. So, those are the four women’s teams participating in the inaugural players era festival event for women’s college basketball. Duke, South Carolina, Texas, and UCLA. One more time, going back to the matchups for the Players Ear Festival men’s event. Monday, first of the two games. Monday, November 24th, Tennessee Ruters, Baylor versus Kraton, Kansas versus Notre Dame, St. John’s versus Iowa State. I wish it was St. John’s Houston, but it’s not. Houston versus Syracuse, five o’clock Central, Oregon versus Auburn, Alabama versus Gonzaga, Michigan versus San Diego State, and then wrapping it up, Maryland head coach Buzz Williams, Maryland versus UNLV. And reminder, if you missed it last Thursday, and of course all the Wi-Fi issues on last Thursday’s show, you may not have seen it or heard it. Maryland is in the players era festival because head coach Buzz Williams and his reps were smart had in a a clause in his contract with the PF that his team will be a participant in the players era festival. Coach Buzz coached the Aggies last season. So, initially Texas A&M was to be participating in the 25 players era festival, but once once coach Buzz was hired at Maryland, Maryland replaced Texas A&M as a participant in the 2025 Players Era Festival men’s event. Day two, 25th November, Ruckers versus Notre Dame, Iowa State Kraton, Kansas Syracuse, St. John’s, Baylor, Houston, Tennessee. Also again, 5:00 Central time, Michigan versus Auburn, Gonzaga versus Maryland, Oregon versus San Diego State, and Alabama versus UNLV. And no changes here. I said this last week, the constellation matchups in the championship game that take place on Wednesday the 26th will be determined based on results of Monday and Tuesday’s games. So only with only two game results to determine who gets to play for the title, the championship and the inevitability, as Rex pointed out last Thursday, the possibility that nine teams could go 2 and 0. So in the inevitability of more than two teams being 2 and 0 by the end of Tuesday, point differential, total points scored, and points allowed will all affect the tally and serve as tiebreers. Just like last year, Oregon won the inaugural 2024 Players Era Festival men’s basketball championship. That’ll do it for all the slides, final moments of today’s show. Give me some hit me up with some questions, comments. But I gotta just want to recap this. I I think it’s a big deal.
