Miami HEAT vs. Atlanta Hawks | HEAT Full-Game Highlights | July 11, 2025
in a way that the Heat understand what competing is all about. Day two underway of the 11-day tournament. Baseline jumper where already looking more and more guys who could play out on the perimeter and can also get back to the rim. Spin move in the lane and off the window. Good. Does a great job of advanced passing, but also he’s got that size. Watch him drive in the patience that he has here. This is just another example. Well, we can’t see it right now, but Yakuchon’s making the right decision. And there’s a little assist and miscommunication underneath out of bounds. Larson with the basket. Ellie Eni on the floor for the first time. And the same for Adam Flaggler. Turnover Atlanta. Larson to Johnson. Yakonis hits the three in the draft. Casperis Yakonis who was 0 for1 11 from beyond the ark in San Francisco gets one here early in Vegas Tomlin is a unique player at 610 with ball skills shoots the ball can pass it really an interesting player now knocking down another three he can distribute he can advance the ball and he can play in ball screens watch right here he’s going to relocate right there baseline baseline drifting one for in three days there. He’s got two three-pointers here early on. Eight points for Yakon. There he is lighting it up again. Heat check. Check or bam. He knocks down that big three. And then from the other side, shot right. He knocks it down. And Yakonis has the last nine for Miami. He wants that ball badly. Instead gives it inside and Vlad Golden scores. Came through Real Madrid system in Spain. Nai nearly got a block there, but Golden able to finish it off for the Heat. But Jaylen’s done an absolutely terrific job and has emerged as a very good two-way player and a really interesting offensive player. Nice pass. Well, they lost track of Javvante Cook underneath. He’s got some stuff to him. All right. Excellent. We have somebody bleeping out just in case. No, no, it’ll be good. It’ll be clean. I like it. What this summer league is all about in the opportunity. Nice job of turning the corner. Good high finish right there off the block. Has with it now. Got that step back in his game and drains another one. Perfect four for four. Then Yakon. He’s just feeling it right there. Just a little shake. Step back. Knocks down that three. Atlanta with their 10th offensive rebound to set up that three. Driving pass to the corner. Extra pass to Cook. Three points for Miami. Yes. does a great job of being active on the glass. Active and uses that length inside to Johnson. You call him Udonis Hasslam 2.0. Coach Dodger does a great job, but those dudes really defend. Yakonis now with 19. He has been the Miami Heat offense. Just watch him right here. A little whoop little euro. I guess a euro can do a euro, right? And one for 15 overall. Six for seven so far today. Cooks spit the good look from outside for the heat. Kyra Lewis the veteran. Nice little roll by wear and a nice feed by Lewis. Really Presbyterian transfer to Balor. Big time shot maker. Now DaVon Mitchell is signed with the Heat. Ty Lewis has done a nice job though of kind of initiating and playing for others. I think that’s what they’ve been most impressed about in all the summer league games so far from Yakonis was his D. And how about that move setting up Cook redot from distance. He’s going to do a good job. He’s going to get bubble now there is he’s getting in the lane. Nice job of reading defense corner spacing. Cook shot ready. Put it on the wall. Pac it on the wall. Re re uh and put it back together again facing the right way. Once again Lewis with a really good decision. Vlad golden work at the rim. A little curl right there. Good read by Lewis. Good hard roll by Golden. Notice they lifted everyone on the right side of the screen. Took away the weak side help. That’s good execution. Really? Oh yeah. That’s from the same country. Timothy Moscow, right? He’s got a little Zubot. Zubots, I’m sorry. Golden finish. Terrific. And then Cook, he’s been terrific shooting the three. He’s also shown the ability. Elo Larson on the offensive end. It’s been a little bit sluggish tonight until right there. His first triple of his first summer league game of this season in Vegas. The younger players are still learning. Had to talk to Kate. That’s why sometimes as Golden I was going to say one of those guys that’s been really vocal, more vocal than usual for a rookie. Nice job again Golden Rolling to an open spot. Nice little pocket pass. Good catch and finish. One thing about the Heat, they’ve played with really good spacing. If you see the right side of the floor, everyone’s lifted or got corner spacing. A very short list of players who’ve done that in the history of summer leagues. Cook to Golden for two. Larson headed to the basket. That’s how you run. Final 3 seconds. Front cut. Then all of a sudden, the court is spread. You don’t stop the basketball. He throws the ball out in front of him. That’s two dribbles. Gets to the rim. Great late game execution from Larson. And great poise and great pass. Just check in time here. On the floor is a made basket at the expiration of the period. Junior Joseph with big body aware right there affecting that shot. Nice run out for Larson who saves it and a three-pointer good by Eric Stevenson. Threes. You got to push the ball up the floor. Share the basketball. Good hit ahead. Great job of relocate right there by Stevenson. Lo McVey, who we mentioned played on the Australian national team, also played in the NBL, won a championship there a couple years ago. And there’s another bucket at the rim for the Heat. He have 10. No, he’s got eight points, seven rebounds so far for Newell. Three-pointer up deep two. Deep two for Johnson. Five-point lead. 21-4 is the run currently for Atlanta. Keshan Johnson off target. Wear comes up with it right at the rim. Big team coming up next year. Have to be happy with their summer league outfit here with 20 seconds to go. Yakonis hits a three. Hit his first four. That foul. But this is pretty good execution. Baseline drive. Boom. Kick out. He relocates. Yakon stocks down at three. We still got a game here.
