New York Knicks vs Detroit Pistons Full Game Highlights – July 11, 2025 | NBA Summer League

In three of the four Detroit losses, it was decided by a total of six points. Laneir in Holland, the Knicks have boat champ, and Tyler Koh, a fan favorite in New York. Three ball hoisted up by And this is Tyler Koh, who we’re going to spend a lot of time talking about today. Ron Holland comes up with a second steal in the early going and finishes plus the opportunity for one more. Two things here, Greg, from Ron Holland. Number one, that outside shot. Working with one of the best shooting coaches in the game. Papy gets the put back for the New York Knicks. And that’s how they get on the board. You’ve heard that before, haven’t you? About these guards from Tennessee who can take it away. Jenkins pulls up. Jenkins pure on the jumper. Been a slow start here for the Knicks. They’re now just two for nine from the field. Detroit has hit three of their first four shots, making it four of their first five. That’s Ron Holland showing off. I tell you what, that was an example of his lower body strength being better because that was a tough finish and a nice steal there. Another steal. Here’s Bobby Clintman. Defense into offense. Knicks have put in Mohamd Dawara. He goes down low and Luca gets his first bucket. Halfway point in the first quarter. Here’s Holland driving and kick. McCuller there to interrupt it. Finally, the Knicks capitalize on a Detroit miscue in New York as part of the Carl Anthony Towns deal. Explain that one. Corner three ball by Detroit is put up and in by Tou Smith. What a great find there by Jenkins off the rib. McCull driving baseline reverse style for Kevin McCull Jr. off. Look at this match up. 6’1 Tyler Kick is towering over Zakai Ziegler. Pock down low. Hawki up and in and knocks still. Oh, what a feed. Smith tool Smith. Tremendous feed. Arjan Boch in the corner now. Free ball hoisted up by Dier. Hakam Dier first round selection ago. There’s the guys he were leading his way in now in the quarter. The top three ballad lock guys get a chance. See, I I didn’t even go there. I just Well, I have no time. I have no ties to Tennessee. I was thinking of the hand. Clintman on the deck pass Dier. Dier gets him back with the block. Nick’s off and running. Grant bouncing feed champs on the drive. The kick in the corner. Three ball in and out from Jenkins. But Smith right there. A live body. Smith. Could be you one day. It could be. It’s possible. You got one. Ron Holland comes up with a steal. Knicks commit their ninth turnover of the first half. Three ball up and in. Well, you you you might win the result on that possession, but it doesn’t bode well for future possessions if there’s no ball movement. I think Pistons fans are having a flashback when we say Laneir. Oh, the big rejection by Holland, but it comes right to McCuller. Kick gives the Knicks a third opportunity. Seven on the clock. Kick whips it. Bo Champ the runner. Nick’s starting to get something going here a little bit over the last couple of moments. He has continued to struggle to take care of the basketball. Three ball hoisted up and in by Chaz Laneir count but she finds it. Yeah, you say that to her face. Smith denied by Hawkport. Pistons have led the whole way and now have their largest advantage of the night. Plus 15. Bo makes it a 13-point game. Gets it over to Holland. Holland in traffic. Corner three. Good for Bobby Clintman. Most of theirs were dead balls, so they didn’t get hurt nearly as badly as the Knicks did, giving up 20 points off those turnovers. Doier with the bucket. Played 23 games with Westchester. Polo Smith. Real breakout performance. First half. Ron Holland with a thunderous put back. And the Pistons are running. This is Chaz Laneir off on the three and Hawk Morty comes down with it. So this New York team gets the buck in the foul in transition paid the big bucks. That’s your job to go out and speak to the media and address the fans. Hey Tay, the drive and the score. Get back in it. One of the big criticisms, fair or unfair as West and Versan Ross did over the last couple of weeks, is they they gave more depth to Mike Brown more arguably than Tom Dibido ever had. Laneir knocks down the mid-range jumper. You can’t be a liability defensively cuz I don’t care how good that supporting cast is, you need those other guys to step up. McCulla with a good defense, but it bounces to Holland. And Holland points of emphasis for Ron Holland to improve that three-point shooting. Here he is. Second straight look at a three and he knocks it down. Comes up with it here for Detroit. Great conversation with a Langden. Appreciate all the time. Got himself a young upand cominging squad. Largest lead of the night now at 24. Where do you think you have the outlook for the Pistons right now? And again, a lot of what Tan and his staff had to do was probably not what they had originally planned to do because of the Beasley situation potentially. Bailey’s been dealing with a bit of an injury. Hopefully, he gets out there and plays tomorrow. Zagler from downtown for Detroit. He backs it home. ATM’s open. Rotation that that could help Mike Brown. We’ll see how deep he goes into the roster, but we talked about Tyler Kick. this guy Arl 40 could get some run big paint with the unconventional release and fulfill their potential. I I I will say just again it’s only one game. I I I didn’t in terms of the Knicks these guys they’ll be better as a summer league, but it it’s going to be a challenge for anybody on this summer league roster to to find themselves in the rotation if you’re truly looking at yourself as a championship contender. Tulu to Smith gets rejected by Hawk 40 and a loose ball. You’ve still got to get through the season healthy. There’s still question marks about the depth. So, not taking anything away from them. Even with as good as Cleveland is, Detroit, Orlando, I don’t know if you want to throw Atlanta into that mix. They got some more veteran guys. Which rosters do you think are are most prepared for the 82 game marathon? Because you’ve had such turnover. You got to wait and see how the guys connect, how the chemistry develops. It’s just so hard cuz we’ve played this we because yeah, injury plays a role, fit plays a role. We just have to kind of wait and see how it plays out. But yeah, I I’m excited to see a lot of things. I’m mo probably most intrigued with Atlanta just because they made wholesale team and that was a team that I didn’t necessarily missed a game yesterday but one versus two on the schedule tomorrow here in Vegas. Second of four games on NBA TV today. Ron Holland still in the game and he has done everything today that was on his checklist for Summerly. Yeah, I’m actually surprised that he’s still in the game. Again, this is against a champion, defending champ at the time. Jazz Laneir in some trouble. One second on the shot clock and he buries it. That was a big time shot. Takola had defended it about as well as you could. Right back down the other way. Three minutes to go here in the fourth quarter. Wireto-wire Pistons. McCuller denied entrance. block there. Garcia comes up with the offensive board. Here comes the Knicks. 5 seconds to go. Get it to Baba. Kick it ahead. That’s how the game’s going to end.
