so we would get to town see I don’t care about home home is home so we would get to town and they say “Oh man sold out.” So I would read the paper “Sold out tonight the Lakers in town oh man they” and I read all the comments from the players of the other team so I would go and use that against uh so I remember uh Patrick Yuan was doing his thing right in New York and so they would say “Oh man uh is Patrick going to take it to Kareem tonight?” So I would go to Cap he trying to take over your city i thought you from New York you Patrick you ain’t got New York on lock and he look at me oh boy then I then we get to Houston oh they said a king getting ready to take over the league they got the Twin Towers what you going to do C man he went off for almost 50 that night cuz he had to prove a point this still my league right see I used to love Yeah yes i used to love doing that right and I would used to tell the guys we in Kansas City they ain’t had a sell out all year it’s sold out they not here to see the here to see the Lakes baby we got to put the show on so we will go out there and put the show on and the last thing you got to understand this audience got to understand I used to come into the locker room and tell the dudes I said “I don’t want to play after the third quarter i want to be sitting on the bench in the fourth quarter so let’s go out here and put the show on and let’s have ice on our knees in the fourth quarter right be?” Yep absolutely what would happen we go out there bust them blow them out and in the fourth quarter we’d be resting and then Mike McGee would be like “Thank you bud get his time to play oh man you know I’m going get double double cord

    Best passer of all time that even Magic had to bow and say it better than him and he couldn't even do HALF of what Pistol Pete Maverick

    WHY DOES THE NBA AND PAST PLAYER TALK ABOUT HIM???!!! they kinda did in the 80s but NEVER give that man his due or respect.

    I remember James Worthy telling Cedric Maxwell a story about when the Lakers would play the Celtics in the 80's. He said McAdoo would be passing around Malcolm X literature before the game against the Celtics to hype them up. Maxwell thought that was the funniest shit. I do too.

    The greatest leader ever. Magic knew how to motivate other great players (Kareem) …his great team vs bottom dwelling teams (No let down) …and could even motivate the bench to hold leads as a thank you for extra playing time (to make a name for themselves) …Magic truly was all about Winning! Didn't care if not playing in (garbage time) 4th qt. would drop his per game average. Magic was Showtime!
