I had to do something in them stats to get that many goddamn alldefensive teams. Nah, bro. People used to just randomly say that like they just said pick Kobe. Yeah, they cuz it’s a persona. Like the first couple times he made it like he lock up. Like he guard, he’d be killing, he’d be strapping up. Like he probably did that for like two or three seasons and then it just became a thing. Like Kobe Bryant played defense. He’s a competitor for sure. He was competitive, but that don’t mean he was locking up. That’s why they had metal world peace. But to make 12 all defensive teams, nine time first team, I guarded somebody. He’s playing defense. I’m not saying he can’t guard. I’m saying to be first team all defense, bro, that mean you are a premium. Like nothing over here. Yeah. is this is shut

    He's actually right.. 1st team all-defense means you shutting shit down consistently and guarding the best player.. i feel like kobe was a good defender, but I'm not consistently putting him on the best player if i have guys like ariza and artest on my team.. why would we burn out our top offensive guy when we have others to help shoulder the load..

    For their careers both Tmac and Bron has a better defensive rating also there were yrs when Bron was better in EVERY defensive metric vs Kawhi but kawhi got the all defensive nods over Bron…teague is right..A LOT of it is about perception and narratives
