I am a Cam Johnson believer. He is also a flawed NBA player. Do not get me wrong. But based on the things that the Denver Nuggets like to do, I think he’s a really good fit. He doesn’t have the same shoot over the taller defender thing that MPJ has, but he’s better off the bounce. He’s a better decision maker. He’s a better defensive player, and it’s not that wide of a margin. Uh I think Cam’s defense has been somewhat overrated over the last couple years as you tag anybody that can shoot the ball well as a 3 and D wing, but he’s a better defensive player than Michael Porter Jr. He’s just not as big. He is in my opinion a a better fit where like I would expect them to run a good amount of twoman game between Cam and Nicole Joic. This is really good. Not only do you get a player that’s just better than the player you gave up, you also save a ton of money which allows you to do other things. One of those other things is signing back Bruce Brown on a vet minimum. One of those other things is signing Tim Hardway Jr. on a vet minimum. I think they immediately blossom up to one of the three best teams in the Western Conference.
