Ajay Mitchell 20 pts 2 threes 5 rebs vs Nets 2025 Summer League
Mitchell continued to impress during the 2025 NBA Summer League, putting together another strong performance in Oklahoma City Thunder game against the Brooklyn Nets. The Belgian guard played 29 minutes and finished with 20 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block. He shot six of 13 from the field, two of five from beyond the ark, and six of seven from the free throw line, though he also committed six turnovers. Mitchell showcased his scoring instincts, attacking the rim with confidence and drawing contact to earn trips to the line. He knocked down a pair of threes and looked increasingly comfortable running the offense despite the turnover issues. His ability to read defenses and create his own shot made him one of the Thunder’s most dynamic offensive weapons throughout the game. Defensively, Mitchell stayed active, contributing two steals and a block, using his quick hands and footwork to disrupt the Nets backourt. While the six turnovers highlighted areas for refinement, especially under pressure, his overall performance reflected the growth he’s made since entering the league. After starring at Santa Barbara, where he averaged 20 points in his final college season, Mitchell was selected 38th overall in the 2024 NBA draft by the Knicks and immediately traded to Oklahoma City. If he's out Thunder, I see something happening like Brunson, Harden and other players who poppin his collar with starter and more touches.
He had a All Star potential! Underrated Defensive player too.
