Yang Hansen Portland Trail Blazers Debut! 10pts,5ast,4reb,3blk VS Warriors | 2025 NBA Summer League

the rookie out of China with some wonderful deliveries tonight. Great vision, Tim. We said at the top, you first thing that was going to stand out to you was the playmaking and the vision. And you’ve seen all of that on display as well. You know, see him directing traffic. You see him what he’s got tonight. Just 20 years old, Tim. Played in the Chinese Basketball Association this past season. average a little over 16 points a game to go along with 10 rebounds per game. And we’re going to take a short break. It’ll be Yang Hansen making his NBA debut, first round pick of the Portland Trailblazers with Hansen and Balden at the circle. And here’s Roert off the opening tip from above. Puts it out top to City Soko who spent a bunch of time with the San Antonio Spurs. Actually was part of their rotation for a little bit. Nice battle and Sissoko set it with his chest to start the game. A great finish, but right off the bat, you see Yang’s awareness and his ability, that nice delivery. Yeah, this is beautiful. This is what stands out, right? You watch him, you look at him on film, it’s he’s absolutely has an understanding particularly in the middle of the floor of how to undrafted this past year. Hensson out top. Nice cut by Carter and the layup. The big man with another delivery leg and have some fun watching him pass the basket. Not afraid of putting the ball in his hands and at all. I mean, that is a creative delivery. a wraparound right-handed pass in traffic. I mean, that’s a really tight window back there with three defenders. And look at the round of applause. He gets a standing ovation from the Blazers contingent for four. Henson. Still a lid on the bucket. Good block by Hansen. Because you can see there the Golden State jerseys around the rim. You think you’re going to get two builds the clock out top. [Music] Henson on the drive and lays it in with the off hand. One of the guys that’s getting a lot of eyeballs right now is the man with the ball, Young Hansen. Tell us where he fits moving forward in the big picture where you guys are going. Well, I mean, obviously we have a really young team. Um, with the exception of a few few vets, um, you know, as he continues to build his game out, but really soft touch, you know, he he he’s pointed right when he let that thing go cuz it was right in front of me. I was like, that’s off and it was off right, but in the right kind of way for him. He’ll take it. So out to the engine screen. shoot that one very well, but a fortuitous bounce. I never complained. I don’t recall actually banking a three-pointer in in the game. Really? I’m sure I did. Last minute heave. I I don’t I don’t recall shooting when that off. Banked in. I I mean I I definitely hit the backboard first, but I don’t recall them going in is what I’m saying. Oh, okay. Yeah. To get to get the the luck of the of the Hansson with seven points on two of three. You know, he had an interesting quote. at the draft on his life interest. He said, quote, “Sometimes sleep.” He says, “Sometimes I like to play the right way. One more look at this play.” Hensson whistled for the foul against the Knicks. Uh Cat had me one-on-one top of the key and, you know, drove me right and onehanded dunk. But, you know, that was definitely one one of my welcome to offensively. That play right there could tell you could tell you, you know, what he does and, you know, defensively just, you know, playing in that drop, the activity, you know, his size defensively and, you know, offensively really being able to, you know, help my team score when, you know, needed and, you know, back to the basket, whether that’s tough shots around the rim. You know, being able to roll out of the ball screen quicker is on them and what his his expectations are, particularly how you have to compete defensively to get minutes. Nice cut and bucket. And another wonderful delivery by Young Hansen. Hansen. Great read and a wonderful cut for the bucket. Passes are telegraphed or tipped because he uses the ball fake to set up where he wants to go and he’s being grabbed. Ro was holding him like next month’s rent. Whistle and a foul called. Hey, we were talking about the great passing here. He’s uh getting roughed up in the post. That foul is going to go against Rogue. But what about some of the great passers that this franchise has seen already? Bill Walton. Carton back to Hansen. The trailer drives it into the paint. Nice side step and couldn’t connect. He did everything right except switching it to his left hand. That would have been an easy left-handed finish. He had a tough angle to try to shoot that over the front of the rim with his right. Hansen with the block. Look at that defensive play. Yeah, he’s had a few of these tonight. This is great reaction time. You’re guarding you’re guarding a big on the post with his back to you and you’re able

  9. Why not check to see if the cylinder walls are still good and rebuild the engine with new piston rings if there is no major scoring? It's an iron block, no?

  12. His outstanding basketball IQ and passing sense are reminiscent of Jokic. I'm not a Portland fan, but I'll watch all 82 games just to see him play. Big love from Japan🇯🇵
