So, could the Utah Jazz be trading away Lori Markin to the Brooklyn Nets this 2025 NBA offseason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. But this trade would see the Brooklyn Nets receiving Lori Markin and the Utah Jazz receiving Nick Claxton, Terrence Man, Noah Clowny, a 2027 first round draft pick from the Knicks and a 2031 first round draft pick. So, in my personal opinion, this would be a phenomenal trade for the Utah Jazz to make. I know Lori Markin’s probably their best player and does carry a decent amount of trade value, but if you’re able to flip Lori Markin for Nick Claxton, Terrence man, Noah Clowney, and two first round draft picks, this fits the timeline and the rebuild of this Jazz team perfectly speaking. And truthfully, you’re getting back some really good value in return in the form of Nick Claxton and Terrence man in my personal opinion. So, this is actually a tremendous trade for the Utah Jazz to make. And I think if you were to look at it from the other side, from Brooklyn’s perspective, why would they make this deal? Like if Brooklyn’s that desperate to acquire a quote unquote superstar or an all-star caliber player, Lori Mkinin could very well be that guy. But getting rid of your very valuable trade asset in Nick Claxton, two of your first round draft picks, as well as two other players in the form of Terence Man and Noah Clowny, that doesn’t make a lot of sense for sort of how this roster is currently constructed right now in Brooklyn and sort of how this team is moving forward uh with this roster. So I understand they just traded away uh Cam Johnson for um male or for Michael Porter Jr. So perhaps they want to get a little bit different of a look for next year having a one-two punch of Lori Markin as well as uh you know Michael Porter Jr. It’s not a terrible idea, but this this is the team in Brooklyn that should be rebuilding and giving up on some of your trade assets like Nick Claxton, like those first round draft picks to me doesn’t make that much sense in my opinion for Lori Markin. Like, does Lori Markin make this team better? Potentially, but are the Brooklyn Nets a playoff team next year with this trade? I truthfully don’t think so. Um, and this team should be holding on to assets, rebuilding, and not trading that for Lori Markin. So, a bit of a headscratching move in my opinion. Um, but h yeah, not a huge fan of this from the Nets perspective. So, I think without a doubt the winner of this deal to me would be the Utah Jazz. But as always, leave your thoughts.
