Cooper Flagg drops 31 points in 2nd Summer League Game vs Spurs – Full Highlights

Here’s Cleveland up top. 10 on the shot clock. Flag driving baseline. Got it in one. Count it. Was just a little bit actually not Carter Bryant on this possession. Lewis he able was able to get the angle to get his top foot by him on the baseline. And that starts on the left side of the basket but hangs in the air long enough to get that thing to the other side. for flag walks into the three and he laces it of the ribs. He just stayed in the air to get to the right side. Nice job by Carter Bryant. Contest sideline out of bounds. Here’s Flag guarded by Carter Bryant. Big man in the drop. Flag raises up man. Good looking jumper from mid. Well, good idea to get Carter Bryant off of him. So that screen makes Carter Bryant now chasing the play and it’s just enough space. You can see him freeze the back line big knowing that Nar pulls it out. Flag with the left this time. Great control with the left hand. Really impressive in his left hand. He never needed to get that second hand on the ball. I mean this is a big body on you, an athletic body. and he just go ahead put the seams how you concentrate on your follow through when you’re doing it in live action it’s a little bit harder flag on the lob the flag bearer of a new generation in Dallas still has a lot left in the tank here’s flag the rook with a slick finish in traffic go screen by flag Garcia picks him up flag punching it home in that sequence Cooper flag giving these people what they came to see. The powerful finish. Dallas still has a lot of work. Min will have a chance and Flag got a piece doing it at both ends of the floor and that’s noticeable immediately. Great way to get on the floor when you can guard people. Guarding Cooper Flag on that three and he laces it. That jumper’s win. Anything but the bucket. Flag with the one dribble pullup. Got it. You can see it starting to happen. Came and impressed early after a couple games in summer league. They got shut down after offers came in from other teams. And Showtime room service for Cooper flag. He’s staring at a 30 piece right now. up to 31. Almost half of Dallas’s points today.

  1. I don't even get it. He could have been poor/mediocre in 2nd game also but who cares? Give players time. Small sample size doesn't work.

  2. 13/30 field goals made, and 8/13 free throws. Last game he had 5/20 field goals. Also -5 in the box score, he didn't live up to the insufferable glaze yet again

  3. love flagg but i hope he stops falling everytime he drives and does a layup. it looks really out of control . i feel like hes going tok get injured if he falls akwardly

  4. 1:54 if that was SGA that would have been a foul and 1 and give him the mvp while your at it πŸ˜‚

  5. This game the just set mote picks for him. He is like steph curry no one on one moves just a team made player. Godspeed 😊

  6. Yea pack it up, Flagg > curry & it’s not even close🀯 Now we’ll see if he can reach the levels of Dame, KD, Harden, etc.πŸ“ˆπŸ”₯πŸ‘

  7. His rebounding's pretty bad. Usually can't hold on to the ball and the other team keeps taking the ball out of his hands or he fumbles it.

Passing's actually good and he's very good and comfortable at dribbling and create space for teammates. He should be capable of creating that same momentum by dribble penetration in real NBA games for probably 65% of the time he's on the floor. Within a few weeks of actually playing with the NBA players, he'll likely be even more capable at passing to the right spots for players.

Players are forced to foul him a lot… So, he's definitely too big of a dude to deal with while he's bringing the ball up. If he puts in some more muscle during the season, then he'll definitely be a real problem for opposing defenders. Dude has that young Lebron rim-running type build on him. Once he gets that NBA body developed, he should be able to NFL runningback himself to the rim and finish all those dunks on people that he can't do yet. Either he gets the "ref calls" or he's honestly forcing opposing players just to foul him in order to limit his momentum.

Defense should be better with a real NBA training camp for him. I don't expect him to be anywhere close to all-defense level, but once he gets the muscle mass needed to do so, he's bound to be a two-way problem.

He's not the best shooter, but you can definitely see the improvements from Duke's season as it progressed, so he's probably bound to replicate that comfort level and get a niche developed as the NBA season presses onward.

Overall, I do think he's bound to be a 20 PPG player this season, but his rebounding numbers won't be that high as projected because there's no way he's honestly as good at it as people projected him to be. Scoring will be high simply because he'll draw a lot of fouls playing that way and he'll be able to have open shots with the group around him. I do think he'll be able to get off a lot of good shot attempts in Dallas. Aren't many players that can stop the front-court that Dallas has, especially SFs.

He'll definitely get a few 40-bombs and might even get himself a 50-piece on one of these random nights since his conditioning is peak and he can play the heavy minutes + has the potential to get those shots up to even reach those numbers + free throws.
