Lakers & Warriors Swapping Lebron James For Jimmy Butler?

Lakers & Warriors Swapping Lebron James For Jimmy Butler?

What’s going on everyone? So, there’s a lot of speculation going around on LeBron James. What is going to happen? Um, is he going to request that trade? Is he going to stick around with the Lakers long term? Still think the Lakers are one of the best places for him? I think Luca is exactly the type of player that LeBron needs at this stage of his career. He’s also the exact type of guy LeBron has been trying to get the Lakers to get for since the bubble really, right? That’s why they went and got Dennis Shruder and Russell Westbrook and Shruder again and D’Angel Russell and all that stuff, right? Because they wanted to get somebody because LeBron wanted to play more off ball, transition to that offball player and let somebody else kind of take the reigns. Why you kept trying to get Anthony Davis to take the reigns over and over again, right? Well, one of the teams that has been linked to LeBron James and a potential trade for, you know, year and a half now is the Golden State Warriors. And the Golden State Warriors actually inquired about a LeBron James trade. Last time there was rumors and questions about LeBron potentially being wanting out and being traded. And you know, LeBron and Steph Curry playing in the Olympics together. And it was like, ooh, they kept talking about how they wanted to play together. And it was like, oh, does LeBron actually would he be willing to leave and go to the Warriors? Okay, the Warriors give up. So on and so forth. There’s this whole kind of just talk about it, right? Well, of course, with the LeBron news and everything, there’s reports that the Warriors are reconsidering offering uh for a LeBron James trade that they’re willing to potentially pony up what is needed. They have all of their picks between now and, you know, 2032 um so they could throw some sweeteners in it. They can kind of get there. Question is like, how do you make it make sense for the Lakers? right now. LeBron has a no claw no trade clause, so he can kind of dictate where he goes, but the Lakers also have to want to to get the assets in return. Like, it has to be a deal that makes sense for them, right? They’re not going to trade him for a bunch of like random stuff, right? And and end up messing up their long-term cap space or anything else, right? It has to be a deal that makes sense. Well, according to reports, there is some thoughts of like maybe doing a Jimmy Butler swap for for LeBron and that the uh Warriors may be willing to give up even a first or couple first uh as like a little sweetener for LeBron because, you know, they’re both similar in age. They both probably have about the same amount of years left uh in the league. I mean, given LeBron, who knows, might be more. But LeBron is also better than Jimmy Butler. Also, Lakers would have to take Jimmy Butler on his new deal, right? Like it’s just there’s questions about that. Now Jimmy Butler and Luca Donuch could be kind of interesting. I don’t know if it’d be so there is an argument that it could be better than Luca and LeBron just because Jimmy Butler is so good, you know, playing offball and doing the dirty work and and the hustle plays and the defense and all that and just kind of being that scrapper and he doesn’t really care about his point like you know like LeBron has like history. He has to get 10 points. he has to, you know, maintain a certain level, right? Jimmy Butler doesn’t really care, right? Jimmy Butler’s one of those guys that’s like, “Hey, whether it’s you need me to get you 10 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and just defend the best player on the other team all game, sure. You need me to go get you 20, 30, sure. Whatever you need, I can do that for you.” And Jimmy Butler at this stage is probably not not probably not best as the the guy, but you’d have Luca at that point, right? Give you some toughness, right? get a guy that slots in at the three, which has kind of been the Lakers biggest issue outside of obviously the center position, but you’d have, you know, Luca Austin Reeves, which you finally get to see what that looks like, right? which would be good to see it beforehand because at least like if you see it this year and it doesn’t work then you can figure it out with Austin Reeves and trade him if need be rather than LeBron leaves now you have to give uh Austin Reeves a big contract and you’re paying him 40 million here and then if it doesn’t work now you’re in trouble and could potentially be stuck right so that’s something else that the Lakers are going to have to kind of figure out here right like so could make the argument you kind of swap Jimmy Butler for LeBron James, maybe you get a first or two. Can you kind of put the pressure on the worms? Be like, “Hey, we’re going to trade them to Cleveland unless you give us what you want.” Right? Wouldn’t you love to see Steph and LeBron on the same team together and try to go contend for a championship type thing, right? So maybe it’s something like that. And then, you know, if you can get a You got to keep in mind, too, if the Lakers get a first or two, right? Well, then that would now give them two or three firsts that they would have now that they could use to trade. and the Warriors first are probably going to be very valuable because I mean LeBron and Steph, let’s say they have two more years together. If you get a, you know, a 2027 2028 pick, something like that, right? Like you you time it right, those could be some pretty valuable picks to to some opposing teams. Well, now you just have more assets. So, not only could you get a Jimmy Butler, right, and some assets in it, you’d still have all of your tradable players that the Lakers are looking to trade right now and could go and pony up and get other players or other needs, right? Like, do you do you still maybe go get an Andrew Wiggins and then go and get, you know, um I don’t know, do can you try to I mean, I mean, you can make an argument to keep Ruy Hachimura at that point, right? And slide him to his natural position of the four, right? and have, you know, Luca, Austin Reeves, Jimmy Butler, Ruie Hachimura, and DeAndre Aton. I would like some perimeter defense. So, again, do you maybe go with Andrew Wiggins still? And yeah, I mean, I would love personally, and this is just me personally, Luca Wiggins, Butler, DeAndre Aton, and then go get somebody at the at the four spot. Like, can you turn Austin Reeves into like a legit like four, like one of these better fours? Like, I don’t know. you just kind of figure something out, right? Is one of those things or maybe go get another like big man that can slot in at the four five something. I don’t know. Like I I think you could figure it out. Lakers also have several guys that can slot in at the four. I don’t think it’d be that big of a deal. I I don’t hate it, right? Like you know Jimmy Butler, you know, he’s still really good if he’s on the Lakers bought in him and Luca, right? So he doesn’t feel like I’m riding, you know, LeBron who, you know, I played in the finals and beat me and stuff. It’s like, oh no, me and you know, me and Luca going teaming up to take down everybody, right? My last harrah and, you know, you kind of line up in the in the space that you want. You kind of see how that plays out. The problem is Jimmy Butler’s health has not been great, right? I mean, the the only other route outside of Jimmy Butler would be they’d have to like do a stack trade, but like how does that work, right? Like sure, could you sign and trade for Jonathan Kamingo, which I would love to have Jonathan Kaminga, right? Could you do but like how much is how much are you paying Jonathan Kaminga right say four years a 100 million it’s 25 million a year right okay you still need to come up with another 27 million in tradable salary and a Lakers have a full roster so Lakers would have to like do some configuring or unload players like that that could be incredibly challenging right because they would have to stack like four guys or you’d have to take on like a a a Draymond Green, but I don’t think they would trade Draymond Green because at that point, one, Draymond would probably be furious because he finally gets to play with LeBron. Two, like the only deal that makes sense for the Warriors would be a Jimmy Butler for LeBron swap. You’re basically swapping those two, which you know, Jimmy Butler didn’t wasn’t really too keen on going to the Warriors to begin with. He kind of once he got there settled in. Hey, would he be willing to go to Lakers? Right. And it’s like, hey, I get to play with Luca, me, Luca, Austin Reeves. You kind of get to see what what Austin Reeves looks like. You you get to see and and kind of experiment before you really got to commit, which is probably the biggest kind of argument to do that. Again, I don’t think LeBron is leaving. Like, I don’t I don’t think LeBron goes anywhere. And the best trade for the Lakers would be the Cavs because the C like Lakers Darius Garland and Jared Allen don’t make sense anymore because you have Luca and and uh DeAndre Hayden now. But you could probably get some nice returns for both. And it’s not one of those things where it’s like, oh, like no, like Cavs would have no choice. If they wanted LeBron and they wanted to trade for LeBron, they would have no choice but to trade at least those two and then some. they’d have to trade like three or four guys to go get LeBron. But the argument even from the Cavs side of things because there’s been Cavs like insiders that have talked about this and they’ve all said basically the same thing that it makes sense you kind of get that last push with him uh Evan Mobley and and Donovan Mitchell, right? Kind of get that last push for a season or two to try to go win a championship in a wideopen Eastern Conference that LeBron historically has dominated, right? LeBron can kind of ride the youth uh during the course of season. you’d still have plenty of depth if you’re them, but also when LeBron leaves, then you’d have the cat flexibility now to go kind of figure out the Donovan Mitchell situation and Evan Mobley, right? And they’ve been wanting to move Evan Mobley to the five for some time now. So, to me, I mean, that’s the only thing that makes sense regardless. Well, also if you’re the Lakers, like you you get Darius Garland, you get Jared Allen and turn those like add a fourth or or you know, third or fourth team, which probably take a third team regardless, but maybe you can turn Darius Garland into something especially if you’re getting off of LeBron, right? So, can you turn Darius Garland into like, okay, like Miami, right? Can you get, you know, Andrew Wiggins and, right? Can Can you now maybe turn um you know a Darius Garland into I don’t know a Andrew Wiggins Jovich right and like a Haime Hawz or something like that right get some young guys involved I mean I’d love a Khalil Wear but I just don’t think that they would trade Khalil Wear even for a Darius Garland right kind of maybe do something like that to where you’re kind of getting a couple guys right getting some youth getting some depth um you know getting uh getting that guy they can slot in at the three and then maybe you can turn Jared Allen into a better kind of fitting four. Somebody that could slot in at the four and then now you have kind of that guy along with a you know a DeAndre Aon and then a you know Andrew Wiggins, Austin Reeves and and Luca Donuch. I don’t know, right? And then plus you probably also get assets in the deal too and stuff like that, right? Because you’re sending out Garland and and Allen elsewhere and those assets are coming to you. So, again, we’ll see, right? Like I don’t if you can get picks in the deal, I don’t hate it, right? For for Jimmy But like if it’s Jimmy Butler in a first or two, I don’t hate it because now you now you just have more assets to go do the other moves and things that you need to try to go push for a championship. And if Jimmy But I mean Jimmy Butler’s done more with less than Luca Donage, right? Like so again, like I think that makes a world of sense. 1. I doubt anything happens, we will be hearing about LBJ getting traded all this year, this is just click bait 🤣😆

  2. Plz Lakers trade LBJ – JB will have no problem deferring to Luka & will be a good fit & is younger than LBJ , less passives aggressive – LBJ has worst +/- in league last year & has gone many consecutive playoff games w/ ZERO 4th Q points w/ & w/o AD – only problem would be is JB's contract but he has @ least 2 years left

  3. Anyone who believed Trump was a paragon of truth and above the corruption that seems to infect politicians were a bit delusional. The man ran with Epstein for a decade and showed his character bragged about predator’s preference of young women long before he became president. Why would reaching the highest office make him different.

  4. This would be a horrible trade.. Jimmy is not it, he's declining and has too many moments when he doesn't even want to shot the damn ball💩🤣! Bad contract also👎!.. this trade LeBron talk is Nonsense.. we're better off trading AR/Rui/DK expiring contracts and picks for 3 and D wings(ROB NEEDS TO DO HIS DAMN JOB!) Every trade is not going to be handed to you bro! get creative!… Even at 40yrs old LeBron gives us the best chance to win next year or 2.. He's still a top ten player, we gotta stop this disrespect.. and I'm not even a LeBron fan I'm a Laker fan that wants to win..I'm just stating facts!

  5. The lakers already said they don’t want money on there cap going into 2027, as stubborn as this franchise is with being in one foot in one foot out, no chance of jimmy with that contract, just fantasy ideas and that would be a dumb move anyway, jimmy on his last foot, that move LeBron crowd gonna be pleading for mercy and forgiveness

  6. There is a very easy way for them to clean all of this up and recapture their base. Simply release the files. And since they won’t or perhaps lied about them even existing, the obvious question is why would they do that. Moving this way doesn’t help them in any way so what’s the reason for taking all of this heat if they didn’t have to. That answer is probably devastating

  7. This dude is high if you think that's a good deal. Butler's a good player, but not at that money. This is a stupid trade, i think we should do better than this

  8. I’m cool with this …. BUTTTTT 😈 I want Kaminga in the Deal … cause we need young pieces… the deal would be Jimmy and Kaminga a 1st & a 2nd for Bron maxi & Gabe Shake …great deal on both sides

  9. A couple of firsts as well would be nice! We have to build for the future since we're in Lukas timeline now..!

  10. No interest in Butler. This is just helping the Warriors. Does not help the Lakers. Maybe in a three team trade where they get more.

  11. wtf the warriors ain’t giving up what could be really great picks, IF they get Jimmy they will just throw in podz or something or moody no picks

  12. Josh Giddey would better fit
PTS 11.5 REB 7.4 AST 6.4 FG%43.3 3PT%32.9 FTL%78.1 STL 1.2 I BLK 0.6 Is 22 years old like his fit the Lakers his 6-8 those are Luka LBJ numbers he’s dosn’t want to be a Bull 25 to 35 million a year
Trade Rui and Gabe till be $29 million trade J Giddey

  13. My boy A.I.S be bugging I'll take Garland and Allen wit piks if not Kuminga or Jimmy Buckets wit piks. Preferably Cle u be coming wit wild analysis those are all gud deals u don't need to keep flipping em dude. What's wrong wit u today u ain't had ur early morning coffee yet 🤔💬 Luka Reauves Laravia Rui Ayton Garland. Knecht Adou Allen Hayes Goodwin they can leave those 3 roster spots left open flip Gabe Vando and Kleiber. As well as Bronny fill out the rest of the roster wit players like Jimmy Kuminga Wiggins wit a stretch 4 like come on gang 😂😂😂

  14. Butler isn't healthy and makes more than LeBron does and he has 2 more years on his contract (2nd year is a player option). The Lakers would still have that 2027 cap space… I would rather have LeBron on the team because he's honestly the better player, but if he demands a trade, it's not the worst thing ever for the next two seasons of basketball, and we could always try to move Butler ourselves if things don't work out.

  15. warriors would be stupid to trade Jimmy for lebron. Jimmy fits better with Stephen Curry and plays without the ball.

  16. Swapping these guys will help both teams play better. Lakers need more of a natural small forward and Warriors need a natural power forward

  17. They don't have no money for JK😊 but now they have all this money for an old man who needs to retire

  18. Just say he wants to go to the warrior I believe he stays but if he does the Lakers shouldn't. No on Butler we have a point guard. If he was going anywhere it should be to the east. Makes zero sense for Lakers. LeBron is way better than Buttler

  19. This is like Let’s put Smush Parker in the backcourt dumb. This is a horsepuckey story written by a jaded Warriors press agent. Or Jimmy Butlers agent floated this story. No way would the Lakers trade LeBron.

  20. God you are so full of crap. This was posted as the only was GS could acquire LBJ but that there was no way they would do it.

  21. I think they technically can pretty much match the salaries in a swap – Butler for LeBron, Bronny, & Milton. It makes no sense for the Lakers though because they would be stuck with paying Butler for 2 more years more than they are paying LeBron now. At this point the Lakers have to let LeBron play out his contract, see how Bronny looks this season, then go from there. No more huge contracts for past prime.

  22. Lebron is upset because they arent offering him the max extension. That is what this has been about all offseason. Lakers want him back after next year but feel its time for him to play for 10-15 million at age 42 so they can contend for a title. While he wants every penny he can get

  23. There would have to be two first round picks put in the Lebron trade. That would give the Lakers five first round picks to trade next off-season which is enough to trade for a superstar
