Erik Spoelstra calls out Kel’el Ware’s professionalism. #heat #miamiheat #nba #shorts

Yikes. During a media session with reporters on Saturday, he head coach Eric Spolster was very candid about Colar’s professionalism. Spolster said the professionalism and consistency has to improve and it is. The standards aren’t going to change. He’s getting stronger, gaining weight, and learning how to be a pro and he’s got to take ownership of all the professionalism and then the other stuff will come along with that after the fact. This comes after yet another disappointing performance from Kaware in summer league just after he earned all rookie honors and almost made all rookie first team last season where had 10 points and six rebounds and 27 minutes in Friday’s Las Vegas summer league opener after averaging 13 points and five rebounds in the California Classic. The truth of the matter is where hasn’t been good in those games. Everything has kind of looked lethargic and those motor concerns date back to when he was at Indiana and at Oregon. Outside of the not great guard play, the screen setting hasn’t been good. The rebounding has been poor. the box outs, the multiple efforts, the the lack of discipline defensively, the rim protection, all that stuff’s been bad for a player that was one of the best rookies in the NBA last season. Can he bounce back? Let us know in the comments.

Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra did not mince words on Saturday when talking about Kel’el Ware’s professionalism — or lack thereof — even though the longtime head coach assures that Ware is getting better.
