Allen Iverson 54 Points 2001 Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors Game 2

Iverson with 47 points and Allan Iverson off the ground against Child. Iverson having a brilliant quarter fires and hits one-on-one against guarding low box. You got a good shot there. I with the half after trailing by 10 after one. Iverson has the 10 on the shot clock. 43 in the fourth quarter. Iverson holds up and he’s racing shot. Philadelphia more offensive rebounds than Toronto. That’s a story in itself. Iverson the release. Iverson for three. Nothing daring. I don’t understand this man. Kevin into the game for the 76ers as Iverson has eight. Carter has 12 in that matchup. And Iverson, you’ve got to try to get the high percentage shot. Iverson hitting again here. 10 points, you know, 10 rebounds. And he’s doing the same. A little

Allen Iverson was one of the most prolific NBA scorers of all-time, as well as one of the most influential players ever. His ability to play off-ball was under-appreciated, but it’s a testament to his game that the “Iverson Cut” is a play used in many teams’ playbooks currently. Here are some highlights from one of his best playoff games, against the Toronto Raptors in 2001, when he scored 54 points.

  1. N they still put Curry over him. I know he a SG but he was a point guard… better offensively and defensively

  2. A.I would have been the goat if he was 6-5
    He was amazing
I’m in awe at his ability to get his shot off over dudes

  3. I like kyrie and nate timy archibald who were both cut from iverson's same type of cloth. This dude was more animal than the other 2.

  4. Do u understand ai never played with nobody so it was just give him the ball and clear out most of the time,he was doubled and tripled team as soon as he got in the paint, this is my favorite baller of all time,he had more heart than anybody in the nba,he didnt care if he got fouled mad hard by shaq he came back towards him

  5. Look at Chuck using that mid range , where or when did the mid range become not cool in the NBA? These guys now don’t even dunk smdh

  6. Just getting to it bussin mfs ass! No constant push offs, no foul baiting, and no flopping like the wack soft modern stars of today…And A.I. took a team to a Finals that were way worse than any team LeBron took but nobody ridin A.I.'s nuts about it…

  7. And we have clowns running around the Internet talking about Iverson was overrated. Most of them weren't even alive to understand the force he was around this time. It's easy to talk about "analytics and efficiency" when todays game caters to that. When star players are surrounded by shooters, have more space to operate, a wide open paint they can attack and softer rules. Iverson was out there with Eric Snow, George Lynch and Tyrone Hill. He literally carried that offense

  8. Imagine being 5-11 and taking your team to the 2001 NBA Finals against Shaq and Kobe Bean. Winning game 1 and being the regular season MVP. Who did that? Allen Iverson in 2001.
