Did the Warriors FINALLY Strike GOLD? | Film Review
Welcome back, guys. Summer League is finally here, and Will Richard, our second round pick, has been playing absolutely incredible. One of his first games, and although he didn’t shoot that well, I really thought he delivered quite a master class that Warriors fans were going to be happy to see. Recently, our picks have just been great in the second round. Quinton Post, almost Jordan P, Ge Santos, just to name a few. But the Warriors with Will Richards might have finally hit the jackpot in terms of a firstear rotation player at that guard/wing position. So, let me show you exactly what I’ve been seeing right here. So, right here we have a screen set here by number 20 and Will Richards is going to come off of that screen and he’s going to put pressure on the rim immediately. And I love this about him being a guard who really had the ability to intuitively know the game. He’s not super athletically gifted. He does have a long wingspan as you see right there, but he’s willing to take and make shots. He’s not afraid. Right here, once again, coming up around a curl around where they’re essentially setting a play here with two screeners. You see here, he’s going to get the ball and rise and shoot. He’s not afraid. He’s even pressured a little bit on the shot, but he allows himself to make it. And I want to apologize once again for the low quality. Summer league is not exactly the best place to get film from, but I just was so excited about him. And look at him on the defensive end as well. I want you to really pay attention. The way he gets around the screener and is able to essentially force the double team and then force the turnover. The way he gets up guards with tenacity, which is something we see a lot in the college game, into transition buckets. Transition basketball is super important. And you see how he is going to be a great tool in transition for the Warriors. You look right here, a little bit of a broken play to take and make threes that are honestly heavily contested. The Miami Heat got back pretty well to contest him in this specific case. And the ability for him to also pass the ball, realize what his job is in the offense. You see right here, he’s wide open. Realizes that everyone’s essentially going towards this side of the court with the ball. And they leave him wide open to cut to the basket. And this takes a momentary recognition from him. And then he’s going to finish with the tough layup. Honestly, maybe an and one. And that’s important because we need a player like that for the Warriors. Look at this in what I’d call semi-transition. The defense doesn’t look fully matched up and fully bag. Once again, a little bit of low quality, but he is able to get to the rim and able to deliver a nice bucket, even spinning into number 84, who’s a lot bigger than him. I know this is just a short little recap, but I just really wanted to give you guys something that I’m really excited about with him. I really think he can be a key contributor to the Warriors team, and I think he can be somebody that maybe is that 13th, 14, 15th man off the bench that slowly grows. He’s willing to take and make tough shots. And I think that’s what the warriors really need right now. If you guys like this content, please feel free to like and subscribe.

Who are you hopeful for amongst the 2025 Draft? Or…who do you hope the front office can sign?
Can you figure out what happened to Moses Moody at the end of last season? Like how his confidence and ability went away?
Touey looks poopy tbh don’t know if he’ll do anything
i dont rly watch college hoop so this is my first time seeing him hoop fr but immediately his hoop/court intelligence stands out and it looks like it allows him to anticipate plays & be a step ahead putting him right where he needs to be. super clutch and that makes a huge impact on winning. love that he showed he can finish with his left in traffic in the paint while playing under control. he also has an intensity & smoothness to his game already. im a fan
They struck gold in Cryer.
Kuminga do not have that mentality. Will to win. When the going gets tough he chicken😂d out not knowing what to do with the ball resulting to turn over.
its just summer league. means absolutely nothing to me.
He is another 6'2. Kerr's specialty.
Welcome back!
Let's hope Will will pan out as you're expecting!! 😊😊
Pool was a great pick we would’ve won the chip without him
The question is can he play with curry?
Warriors don’t need no guard they need a 7 feet center that can play defense and grab rebounds they are small down the paint they don’t need no more guards
Struck gold….steal of the draft…. all things heard before about Warriors draft picks… but actually amount to nothing… Warriors draft picks have been all been SHIT… Wiseman, Kuminga, Moody, Podziemski, TJD, QP… just shut up… just accept that the FO and ownership are dumb and dont know how to evaluate talent. Big contracts for Green and Butler?? Seriously??? 2 expensive and overrated backpacks who clearly have mental issues
Let's circle back when he plays WITH Steph
😂😂😂
Kerr got nothing if Steph ain't playing!
Warriors are HISTORY… If they don't get some height, scoring , and POWER in the paint – i feel bad for steph – They'll never be in the playoffs again..
