Cam Johnson To The Nuggets Is GENIUS

The Nuggets trade for Cam Johnson was genius because not only is Cam one of the best three-point shooters on the planet, capable of hitting nearly 40% of his looks off the catch, off of movement, or over contests, he’s a super quick and smart decision maker who’s constantly looking for ways to improve the offense. Whether that means swinging the ball, attacking a closeout, or just simply filling out space with a timely relocation. Due to the shooting and quick decision-making, he’s especially dangerous playing off of handoffs, which is a match made in heaven with Jokic and the Nuggets. For all of the positives in his game, though, maybe the most important part of the deal is what it did for their cap room. The Nuggets saved $17 million on this deal, then they immediately turned around and brought back Bruce Brown on a minimum. They still have access to the full mid-level exception of $14 million. So, they’re far from done. And this one move might have just brought them back to that top tier of championship contenders. [Music]

The Nuggets trade for Cam Johnson was genius, not only because of his skillset, but because of what that did for their cap space.

  1. Bout time they realized that MPJ is ass. All he does is chuck 3s. 6'11" mf that doesn't play defense, doesn't rebound, doesn't attack the basket, doesn't pass. Just shoots 3s, smfh.

  2. I'm a Spurs fan but I'm a secondary Nuggets fan ever since they drafted Jokic. I'm so glad they're giving that man some help. If they had Cam Johnson instead of MPJ, they win the series against the Thunder and they win the championship.

  3. The Denver Nuggets just took the NBA Champion Oklahoma Thunder to 7 games in this years 2nd round playoffs, now they've added Bruce Brown(a vital piece of that '23 title team), Cam Johnson, Hardaway Jr., plus added Jokics relief in Jonas Valanciunas, so yeah😮its on😢😅😊!!!

  4. This window might be the greatest complete offseason in the modern NBA. They are back to my #1 ranked team in the West, probably the entire league.
