Salary Cap Breakdown – Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks started free agency by giving new contracts to a lot of their players from last season, most notably Bobby Portoris. They also brought in Gary Harris. And so that was a lot of new money added to their salary cap for next season. Therefore, in an effort to lower their payroll, they chose not to resign Brook Lopez. He was making 23 million last season, but he signed a new contract for much less with the Clippers. Then they traded Pat Conetonin to the Hornets and technically they got Vaseli Michich in return but he’s probably going back to Europe next season. But then their biggest cost cutting maneuver came next. One that shocked the rest of the league. They waved and stretched Damen Lillard’s remaining contract, $113 million over the next two seasons. It was the biggest contract to be waved and stretched in NBA history. According to Bobby Marx, they’ll now have $22 million in dead money on their books for the next five seasons. And the reason they did all of that was another shocking move. They signed former Pacers center Miles Turner fresh off of his run to the NBA Finals. So now, even with Lillard’s stretched contract and Miles Turner on the books, the Bucks are actually in pretty good shape financially heading into next season. They’re well below the luxury tax and both aprons. But whether that equates to success on the court remains to be seen.
Here’s the free agency breakdown for the Milwaukee Bucks and where their salary cap will be next season!

And it looks like they will sign Cole Anthony now that he was bought out. It’s glaring that their top 4 paid players are not ball handlers so Cole should bolster the backcourt
Can you please do the Clippers next?
