1996 Chicago Bulls Explained #shorts

This was the 1996 Chicago Bulls. They didn’t just play basketball. They mastered it. Every pass calculated. Every stop relentless. Roberty and blocked by Dennis. Every bucket inevitable. No, look. This wasn’t a team chasing wins. They were building the blueprint for dominance. 72 wins. just 10 losses, the best regular season record ever at the time, first in offensive rating, first in defensive rating, first in point differential, nearly 13 points per game. They started the first half of the season with a 40 and3 record. Went on a 30 and one run starting November the 27th all the way to February 2nd. Only lost two home games that season, twice in the regular season. Playoffs, none. And they weren’t just breaking team records. They were collecting every trophy in sight. Jordan got the MVP and scoring title. Phil Jackson won coach of the year. Tony Cuck Coach won sixth man of the year. And Rodman won the rebounding title. And not only that, their big three of Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman won all defensive first team honors, most by a team in a single season. and their roster, their head coach and Phil Jackson, their core eight-man rotation, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Luke Longley, Ron Harper, Tony Cooach, Steve Kerr, Bill Wennington, and they have the other guys as well, ready to step in at any moment, like Randy Brown, Jud Bushler, Dicky Simpkins, James Edwards, John Sy, Jason Cafe, and Jack Haley. Then came the playoffs. Miami gone in three games. All were blowouts. The Knicks beaten in five. Then came the magic. Rodman locked down Shaq late in game one. Seems to be working just fine. Jordan led the Bulls to a comeback in game two with 35. Game three held Sha and Penny to just 37% shooting. And in game four, Jordan dropped 45. Bulls advanced to the finals. Then came the finals versus the Sonics. Game one, Jordan and Pippen combined for 49. Rodman grabbed 10 offensive boards. Game two, close game, but Rodman’s 20 rebounds, including 11 offensive boards, sealed it. Game three, Jordan dropped 36 and was perfect from the line. Bulls up three to zero. Seattle would fall back, winning two straight. But in game six, it was good as over. Bulls clinch their fourth title. Jordan wins finals MVP. This was the 1996 Chicago Bulls. The standard of greatness then, now forever.

This was more than a team—it was a dynasty at its peak.
72 wins. MVPs. Records shattered. Dominance redefined.

  1. Played against a weak league. Had the best defensive players best over seas player best coach. It was the first super team before the term

  2. Preach! Pippen was a defensive nightmare for most teams. Rodman was an offense disrupter, and MJ was MJ🤷🏾‍♂️
