If Jordan really had a 48, that mean he’s touching the top of the backboard. I’ve touched the top of the backboard and I’ve touched higher. I’m ded seven foot goal. If Jordan had a 48 inch vert, he should be sitting on the rim. He should be able to turn around and sit on the rim. That’s what they call a mayor Jordan. Jordan may not have a 48 but he deffo had hops and flight time. He would jump from the free throw line and head would pretty much be near the height of the rim
I watched Jordan and Kobe. I thought Kobe had more skill than Jordan, but I always noticed that he didn't jump as high as Jordan did. It was very noticeable as a fan of both, that his 38 inch vert wasn't as high as whatever Jordan's was.

That guy doesn't now anything about maths. MJ and Koby are, 6'6" (78"), well Koby was, and the height of the rim is 120"ish, so 120-78=42. And we know the MJ and Koby easily had reached the rim with his head, so maybe is not 48 but 42 even 45 is not that crazy. Of course, Spud Webb is the king.
