NBA Teams are HORRIFIED of This…

The NBA is horrified of what the Toronto Raptors are putting together. And we just got our first glimpse, our first witness on this new culture, this new era of Toronto Raptors basketball. And yes, some people might say that’s a hyperbole. Some people might come out and be like, Ben, no one’s horrified of just one game of summer league or anything like that. And I’m not saying the Toronto Raptors are going to come out and win a billion games out there next season or anything like that, but there is no denying that the entire NBA, the entire league is worried, is stressed out, is concerned about playing this Toronto Raptor team. You know why? Because that is some of the most outstanding defense, the most hounding basketball I’ve seen on the defensive end of the floor. and you know definitely watching summer league we’re dating back even though you know of course you know the 2019 Raptors peak all-time defense this was more aggressive this was something different I’m not saying it’s better but it is certainly something more scary and we got to witness that we got to witness some guys just really show their game show their improvements out there in the first summer league game action so we’re going to dive into it all but folks you guys have been crushing it hitting the subscribe button appreciate all the 38,700 us already here on that road for 40k subs. So, make sure if you want to join the bandwagon now. You want to be a part of this era of Raptors basketball that is going to be filled with dogs, filled with guys. Yo, my shed heads, we started building it up last season, but the Toronto Raptors are putting together, amalgamating the moves they made in the offseason, the signings they’ve done, the draft picks they’ve made. They are putting together a team of dogs, a team of hounds, and they just slapped around the Chicago Bulls out there in summer league with nearly records broken in terms of what’s going on in this game. Before we talk about an individual players, I know that’s what most people care about in summer league. The Bulls scored 72 points in this game and had 33 turnovers. The record apparently for turnovers in a summer league game is 37. The Raptors in their first game of summer league forced the team to have 33 turnovers. And honestly, if there wasn’t some garbage, it would have been more. It would have been more. The Raptors won this game 72 to 116. And frankly, with the exception of maybe Jacobe Walt, who I thought did bring a lot of energy out there on the defensive end, who had a little bit of an off night shoot, but everyone else played absolutely outstanding. Everyone that got some consistent run out there, non- garbage time run just really blew my socks off in terms of uh performance and may maybe except for a couple guys, a lot of guys were out there on the lineups, but we have so much to be excited about in terms of young talent, in terms of young pieces out here on this Toronto Raptors team. And let’s just start off my guy. I already played the shed animation. I’m playing it again because I love this dude to death. I know he’s not he probably didn’t have the biggest box score game or uh you know overwhelming in terms of the stat line, but still in 21 minutes of action Jamal Shed had nine points, six assists, four rebounds, two steals, taking charges. He makes a mistake, he immediately makes up for it in terms of his impact, in terms of what he’s able to do. And you know, plus 28 on the night in terms of the plus minus, Jamal Shed changes the game when he’s out there on the basketball court. This dude, his presence is felt no matter what the heck is going on. He also knocked down an off the dribble three. I know overall his three-point shooting wasn’t phenomenal in this one just uh from the eye test. Yeah, one of three shooting in this game from the three-point line, but he did hit one off the dribble that, you know, is the next step in this game to really just become unlocked. He had a couple misses that were on the outside of the rim, but beyond that, he literally is the quintessential point guard. The guy that, you know, if RJ Barrett straight up from the team, he’s going to be my favorite Toronto Raptor. Like I am in love with his style of play, with his intensity, with just the leadership he brings out there on the court. Of course, you know, it’s impossible to compare, you know, a second round pick last season to a Kyle Lowry, but he brings that type of energy. He brings that type of intensity. He does those types of winning plays. Of course, needs to improve his offense. Appre needs to improve his uh, you know, three-point shooting to start uh, you know, having that career trajectory of a Kyle Lowry. Man, oh man, Jamal Shed, give that dude his Flash, but we we got too many guys to talk about. AJ Lawson, this dude came out tonight and was an absolute flankthrower off the bench and he’s, you know, I’m stating it here now, is my favorite to make that final roster spot for this team. I know we just brought in David Roddy who we discussed in a video earlier is on an exhibit 10 contract. But AJ Lawson tonight you have 22 points, seven of 15 shootings, four of eight from the three-point line. And that’s the type of dude cuz he brings on the defensive end too. He was hustling. He was this entire Raptors team was just on another level in terms of locked in, in terms of intensity, in terms of just pounding the basketball. Any loose ball, 50/50 ball, it was an automatic. It was a 100 zero ball for every the, you know, loose ball out there for this game, you know. And defensively, AJ Lawson brought it, but he had a stretch there, man, where he was untouchable. Slashing to the rim, finishing around the basket, hitting, you know, fading, leaning three-point jump shots. AJ Lawson, we saw it in the back half of last year. He has moments, man, where he can just really string together some buckets while also being a productive, solid defender out there on this team. Now, the two guard, you know, the smaller three spot out there on this roster is very, very competitive right now. So, that’s one of the things that makes it, you know, the toughest battle for AJ Lawson to get that final roster spot versus a Rody versus a Castleton. But, holy smokes, man, if you can have a guy off the bench, especially where the Raptors have dealt with some injuries in recent seasons, and you can have AJ Lawson out there as insurance out there on your roster, you you got to take that. You got to take that. You know, give him an un non-G guaranteed contract. AJ Lawson is a dude that I would love to see suited up for this Raptors team. So, you know, that’s a that’s a positive there, but we’re keeping it on the theme of this. Elijah Martin, man. Elijah Martin. This might whole video feel like a verbally reacted one game of Summer League. But what this guy just showed me tonight has me, you know, I declared him the steel of the draft for the Toronto Raptors, you know, in the second round of this year’s NBA draft. He’s on a two-way contract, which is interesting. But he’s going to be another dude that’s going to be tough to keep on the bench. And you know, six of 12 shooting, had 16 points in this one, five rebounds, five assists as well, two steals, but the really just outstanding part of his game. One the intensity out there on the defensive end, of course, cuz that’s going to translate every single time. This dude had one absolutely ferocious dunk early on. It was, you know, it was nasty. It was a poster. Caught a body. you know, all those types of things. Just showing the coahjoneses to really come out and, you know, leave your mark at the beginning of the game. And then the the second half, fourth quarter, I think it was, this dude almost did it again. And it was even crazier. The body that Elijah Martin nearly caught and the ball didn’t go down. But that man is an athlete. He is bouncy. He is out for blood anytime he drives the basket. He is looking to embarrass the the livelihood of whatever defenders out there at that rim. And defensively, the way he gets into you, he wants you to dribble off your foot. He wants you to do something stupid like Elijah Martin, man, like this is this is just fun basketball to watch. This is just I don’t know if we’re going to be good. I don’t know if the Raptors are going to be, you know, the the top team out there in the Eastern Conference, you know, be able to compete with the top dogs, whatever. But if we play like this next season, I’m I I’m going to be way, you know, it’s my job to cover the Toronto Raptors, you know what I mean? But like I’m going to be way more invested. Like I’m going to watch these games and be excited. I’m going to be elated. I’m going to be tuned in, locked into the screen watching just this houndy defensive play that everyone on a string picking up full court the entire game. Guys out there on the roster trying to dunk on people, trying to slam it on people, trying to embarrass the other team. Like this is what we want to see. Whether we’re good or not, whether we’re young or not, whatever the heck it is, I want this Raptors team to be exciting to watch again. That’s what I want. And we got so many young dudes. We got so many young guys that frankly are just exciting exciting to watch out there on the basketball court. And Elijah Martin’s no no exception. Another guy, Jonathan Mo, who might be the best player in tonight’s game. You might you could argue with defensive impact and everything that he did out there on the basketball court. So what did what did Mobo do tonight? You know, our our 30th overall pick in last year’s draft. 15 points, three rebounds, two assists, three steals. Did have three turnovers. It was a turnover heavy game for both teams, but holy smokes, man. Like Mo, his feel for the game, and I’ve said this last season because some people always used to make the the comparison to Precious Aua because, you know, they’re similar size. They both the long hair, you know, they they dribble the basketball at the forward spot. Jonathan Mo is nothing like Precious Achua in the sense of he’s out of control or he like, you know, he looks chaotic out there. Jonathan Mo’s feel for the game, his IQ out there on the basketball court, like he is seeing passes that a lot of bigs in the NBA, 90% of big men are not seeing. Now, the execution on them, he can be a little bit, you know, off the mark in terms of where those passes are going, but he sees just his court vision out there as a big man is phenomenal. But this season, you know, comparative to last year, this game that we saw compared to last season, his handle’s looking tighter. you know, he’s moving a little bit slower because he’s an uber athlete, but it’s allowing him to just, you know, pick his spots, get to the right places, and you’re seeing another year of matured Jonathan Bobo. And that’s with the level of defense he brings, he is going to be in the rotation for the Toronto Raptor. This is a deep team here right now. Like, this is there’s there’s going to be some decisions made here on this team because there’s a lot of guys on the bench. Like, we are going at each position. each position there. You’re you’re going like two guys deep in terms of players that could play. So that is uh you know Bobo deserves his flowers, deserves his credit. Even Olar Shamsh man Shamshay like he’s put on some muscle without a doubt. I test it’s clear Shamsh has put been in the wait room and off the bench of the Toronto Raptors 19 minutes in this one. Nine points, three steals, two blocks. Like he’s a deterrent at the rim. Everyone’s afraid to drive in on him. Even when he’s not blocking shots, he is just a deterrent there. you know, six boards like, you know, there’s a couple m times where his hands, you know, it’s it’s poor catch or whatever, but he’s not trying to play outside of himself. He’s looking a little bit more under control. He’s a very young prospect. Still super super young, still super super raw. But Shamshay with his development, you know, he’s he’s still tonight. He’s probably a year away, but I I wouldn’t be surprised. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Shamsh this season, you know, with this group, if he’s compete with Mamu at the end of the year, especially if this team, you know, we’re in a sketchy spot. I I believe in this Raptors team to actually make a push. But I wouldn’t be shocked if Shamshi at the back half of the season is competing for minutes. If he’s competing for minutes or what we’re seeing tonight, because he is taking those leaps and bounds and, you know, deal with some injuries, so of course that is tough to deal with, but it’s uh you Sha Shay deserves his credit. Deserves his credit there, but you know, he he did well. I brought up Jacobe Walter. I thought Jacobe Walter did a good job on the defensive end. A couple of his shots didn’t go down. You know, looked like he was forcing at times. Turned over the basketball, but still defensively nothing was felt the side. Like Jameson Battle in this one, you know, it might get overlooked, but 13 points, five to seven shooting. The first half was just really, really, you know, efficient and, you know, smart with the shots. Like Battle is like the perfect role player, right? because you you have guys you know in the these summer leagues and you see it on the other side right on the other end a former Toronto Raptor in JFL right 21 points and you know he’s one of the more talented guys without a doubt out there on the basketball court for the Bulls and was when he was on the Toronto Raptors but when you’re playing in the NBA when you’re playing at the top level right you need to be able to do different things have those secondary tertiary skills and for the Raptors a lot of these dudes have that intense defense the ability to knock down the three all all that type of stuff. But Jameson Battle is like the perfect role player. You you slot him into a lineup out there around, you know, out there around a Scotty Barnes, out there around a Brandon, RJ Barrett to space the floor in terms of whatever’s happening, right? Then Battle is just going to be a, you know, an impactful player because they draw draw the attention. The other guys are going to, you know, Battle’s going to be able to space the floor and, you know, the impact that he has is felt in those areas. So, you know, Battle, I really liked what he did. He looked like he put on some muscle, too. So, uh, you know, defensively he looks sound as well. So, that is uh that is a positive there on this point, but you know, I I bring up random animations because I I’m just I’m just I’m elated, man. Watching the Raptors be exciting. It’s great to see Chucky Heard as well missed a few of his threes. He’s taken a lot of off the dribble threes, which has me encouraged about his level of jump shooting, like the confidence he has in that. You know, he knocked down a nice midi in this game, but only two points, four assists. Another one of those DPI guys coming into this Raptors group. So, you know, great stuff there. Castleton also may maybe the odd man out. I think uh he had a few turnovers and stuff. Knocked down a three-point shot, which is great, but I think Shamsh is going to be, you know, I’d like to see Shamsh as the third third string center for this group probably over Castleton just because of upside and uh everything that’s out there on that front, but Castleton did look serviceable in this game, but I don’t know. I’m 13 minutes into a summer league game here now at this point. The Raptors, they are looking good. They are looking outstanding. And uh you know it’s if they continue this if they continue this and this culture, this style of play, this intensity that we have out there on the basketball court carries into next season, like this team is going to be fun to watch. But let me know what you guys think about all this in the comments section down below. You guys the best. I’m signing out. Cheers.

  1. Who cares if was Summer League (which is a strongly competitive league), it was about how they showed up! ..The team work, the hustle, the heart, the want and desire to win and be the best on the floor (compete level is high), how they played for each other, the high fives, the players jumping off the bench on defensive stops, all the starters being there cheering on the team – the chemistry is off the wall, and this group of guys WANTS IT! ..can't teach chemistry! Chemistry often wins big!

  2. About Chomche – he looks NBA ready, will he blow it up and dominate, no! BUT can give quality minutes here and there! The way he vastly improved second half of last season, you can see it in him last night – doesn't look lost, shaky, uncertain … he has feel, is unhurried, looks for the right play, not worried about impressing so he rushes an awkward play – he has skills, a good read for the game, I'm excited about his future.

  3. About Maluach – first NBA type game and he was what I thought, not ready! ..Some plays from Maluach looked decent (not high lottery decent) but also looked clumsy – 1 for 6 from 3, shot a whopping 26% on 13 attempts, and was out rebounded by guards. The other big on Phoenix (a nobody) grabbed 14 boards – where was 7'2 lob city like the scouts on this channel said he was? I know 1 game, and Maluch will be an NBA player, maybe some day an all-star however the Raps aren't a team this season to wait for that and ALL OF YOU couldn't get ya dummee heads to this truth!

  4. Haven’t been this excited for a season in a little bit! I’ve never really watched summer league, but I tuned in for this one 👀

  5. No one in the league is stressed out lol a bit much but we glad to see movement and hopefully it translates to wins in the NBA season

  6. Dang, what a game to miss. Everyone fired up

Just glad to hear the defence was smothering.. nothing better than swallowing teams whole

  7. HORRIFIED! the whole NBA? AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!

After 1 game. In SUMMER LEAGUE. Im a Homer too but cmon now.the NBA is HORRIFIED after 1 SUMMER League game. Stop it.

Yes raps looked amazing but be so fr right now. They played against nothing close to a NBA roster. Just stop it.

  8. Reminds me of when Anthony Morrow dropped 47 in summer league, or Furkan Korkmaz dropped 40, or Marcus Banks drooped 42. All who went on to be on multiple All-NBA teams. NBA teams were horrified. Huge report is huge if true. Multiple sources. This is huge

  9. Solid effort by a bunch of dogs who can do a lot…except make their FTs. lol Why do we get so many players that can't consistently make the easiest shot in the game?

  10. What nasty mr Rogers who killed Mr hiward and lain poor messy in his grave. Mr Rogers hated massi, he tried to fire him before but was stopped by the then CEO. So he went out got some rich friends bought the team then fired massi. Why , why , why, now he has a bunch of no name sport casters supporting him. Because he wants to claim the acalaids that justly nrlond to massi but the industry already know who built the ye, that his why je waited until the day after the draft, because he was afraid it would blow up in his face. Does this guy have superiority issues

  11. Even a bunch of these guys are playing for a spot on the roster, I hope this mentality passes over to this season

  12. Ah excuse me, rest of NBA teams aren’t worried abt the Raps! This is just the summer league and play mostly rookies & sophomores or even scrubs trying to get into team rotation! Relax!….hold your horses!😂
