Well, Keith, um, at least they they weren’t just holding him out to hold him hold him out. It appears VJ Edgecomb actually has somewhat of a legitimate injury here and is not expected really to be playing tonight in Las Vegas. What What did the Sixers come out with late last night and telling us about VJ Edgecom? Yeah, around 9 at exactly 9:17, the 76ers came out and said, uh, you know, VJ Edgecom was evaluated by a physician and has been diagnosed with a left thumb sprain. He will be ruled out for tomorrow night summer league game in Vegas. That’s tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs. They said that Edgecomb is participating on oncourt workouts during his absence and is working closely with the team’s medical staff throughout. he will be re-evaluated on Saturday. Saturday, I is the next time they play. Um, you know, the thing about this, we we both said there was two things. We we thought that they were just resting, holding him out, you know, he he had a little boo boo, whatever, but they were just holding him out and he would play tonight. But we also said it could either be two things. They were e they were just resting them or they weren’t being as transparent. as they should have been. And right about now, you realize that they just weren’t being as transparent. And it gets to a point where I think you you got to come clean because if he misses the third game, then people are going to say, “Well, a bruise on his nine shooting hand.” And now it’s sprained. And uh to me based on all the things that happened in the past, especially with how the Joel Embiid situation went down, um you know, other injuries that players had, um it it’s just not a good look. I mean, it’s not and I get it. You know, some people are going to say it’s summer league. It’s summer league. Who cares? But you don’t go from day to day with a bruise on your non-shooting hand to now it’s it’s a spring. You know what I mean? Just like Yes. This Keith, I’m going to tell you right now, when you told me about this right before the show started, right before I hit record, I I had the vibe of Jerry Colangelo uh or excuse me, Brian Colangelo telling you that Embiid does not have a meniscus tear. And then like a couple days later, oh no, no, no, he’s got a miniscus te meniscus tear. And it’s like, wait, what? And I understand that’s not an uncommon injury for athletes to try to play through, but still, no tear and then there’s a tear. That doesn’t make any damn sense. And I can’t help but think one of the things we got into yesterday, can’t help but think this. You’ve you have a culture right now that tells your athletes, you don’t got to play. You don’t got to play. like at times when the times get tough, you know, you don’t got to play. And one of the reasons I was looking forward to a guy like VJ Edgecom actually being a Sixer and yes, I I’m in the Ace Bailey camp and would have been the better whatever. But that doesn’t mean that I think VJ Edgecom is trash by any means. So, one of the things that I liked about him was you bring the maturity in and you bring a guy that really wants to play the game of basketball, loves the game of basketball. You saw in the one professional game that he’s played so far in the summer league that he’s got that snarl about him. you know, he doesn’t want to be messed with and all that, but he he just loves playing the game. I don’t like bringing in a guy, asking him more or less to help overturn your culture, and then starting the same process again with, “Hey, we’re going to say it’s this injury, we’re going to hold you out, and now it’s this injury.” Like I think that just starts things off on a terrible foot for the 76ers and BJ Hedgecom to say to a guy that you brought in to help change the culture. Oh yeah, you’re going to change the culture, but here’s a little bit of that old culture that’s that’s going to be uh hovering over you for at least the summer league. That that to me just really does not sit well. Yeah. Now, I think that if everything goes well, people are going to forget about this once the season comes along. You know what I mean? if everything goes well. But it just to me it’s something that just backfires. Like I just feel like I get it nowadays with HIPPA laws, you don’t want to you don’t want to get the information out there as much. You know what I mean? And but but at the same time, the lack of transparency is hard for you to get people to trust your trust you for at your word. You know what I mean? Oh, absolutely. Considering the track record. Yeah. And Yeah. And and and this is something that’s that’s minor. Like, hey, for instance, hey, what happened first game? Hey, uh my man, you say like he played extremely well. Um we we we we had an MRI, whatever. It said it’s a sprain. He’s probably going to be out what, four or five days. will re-evaluate him on Saturday because, you know, it’s hard to believe that you thought that he had a contusion and then all of a sudden you just got an MRI or you just got something yesterday and it said it was a spring. Like, you know, this is you guys got 50 something million dollars invested in this guy. You know, you’re it’s not like you’re going to the clinic, you know what I mean? the free clinic down the street that to get them checked out like right you have a medical staff there you were at you were in the NBA city too so where they have stuff there like you knew this for a couple days but you probably was one of those things either holding off hoping that it will get better in due time before he can play or it was just a matter of just hey we’re just not giving them the information they So, like you said, based off of what happened in the past, um I hope that this will lead the 76ers to be a little bit more transparent just because it’s a bad look, man. I mean, you you go on social media or anywhere and everyone’s trolling like, “Yep, he’s a 76er now.” You know, or they’re saying, “Hey, what’s up with this team? Why why you know, like they’re questioning the team? like can we believe anything you say now? So it’s just it’s just a bad look. It’s just a bad Now again if everything goes right, people are going to forget about Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head. It’s a bad look. It’s also annoying. Like from from from someone who has still has a lot of 76er fandom in them. Good lord, man. This sucks. I just want to watch I want to watch a guy that the Sixers drafted to be a future cornerstone of this franchise. Uh a number three overall. I just want to watch him play basketball. Is that too much to ask Keith? I just want to watch him play. And if he can’t play, tell me he can’t play. And don’t don’t tell me, “Oh, it’s just a contusion.” Don’t leave me to believe that he’ll be back in uh you know, playing in Vegas, which is again what he dropped in his postgame press conference after game one. Um or media session, I should say. But yeah, I just want to watch him play. And yeah, I absolutely agree. You hit the nail on the head. This could be forgotten easily with a great start to next year. Uh if he plays again at all in the summer league, you know, see him play at a high level like he did in his only game so far, then yeah, a lot of this gets forgotten. But it’s just a bad look. It doesn’t sit well. The optics are awful. And I’ll go back to the point of I thought this was supposed to be a changing of the guard in terms of culture. And one of the reasons you brought him in here was to change things around so you could be more transparent when somebody is banged up. And the other thing that drives me crazy too is look I look HIPPA with everyone on the planet is very important and those laws I stand by and support. These are professional athletes that where they are obligated to give injury reports as teams and as players. Teams need to know where you’re at when it comes to your injuries. Adam Eron is the first guy I remember talking about it with with Andrew Bayham. I can’t really get into it because of hip loss. You you traded for this guy. You brought him in. They paraded him in front of the entire fan base at the what? The Constitution Center. I need a little bit more information than Oh, he’s got a different haircut this week. Okay, cool. It’s exactly it. It It I know it drives a fan base crazy. It absolutely drives me crazy. And what is supposed to be a turning of the page, a a turning of the page, not going to a different book just yet because Embiid’s still here and PG is still here. It it it is just more of the same old story with the Sixers and now they’re doing it with a guy that just wants to go out there. I I wholeheartedly believe from everything you’ve written, from everything people have talked about around the country, this guy just wants to go out there and play. And now it feels like, okay, they’re holding him out for what? Vegas because they want know the stars playing in Vegas like you’ve talked about a lot. Or they’re holding him out because this could be something a little bit more serious than a contusion. And bingo. Now we’re talking about a sprain. Now we’re talking about potentially not seeing him for the rest of the summer. Yeah. Yeah. It’s not a good look. It’s just I mean it’s it’s not a good look. You know what I mean? It’s just not um it’s a bad look. I mean because it’s just a bad look because it just like lack of transparency. I mean it’s it’s just it should be a whole lot easier. I mean, especially for, let’s think about it, especially for um a summer league injury, a sprain, something small. Because what happens is, okay, so if he gets hurt initially, people like, “Oh my god, the guy got hurt.” Then they’re like, “Okay, let’s just move on.” But the longer that it linger lingers like dayto day, it’s precautionary. Remember that’s what they said. It was they were being cautious. So when you do that and then all of a sudden nothing happens and then people are like hey it’s like a little white lie and then it becomes bigger and bigger. It grows and grows. So and I’m not saying they were lying. I’m just saying they weren’t they were they just weren’t being transparent. And it just gets worse. And that’s what happened. Yeah. Uh the other part of it with uh VJ Hcom and this injury is that he played the entire like he he didn’t walk off the court, you know, before the game was over. He was on the court when the game ended and and no one saw him like ah my hand. Like no one saw him doing anything like that. I’ll go back and and watch to see if he was ever checked out on the bench, but nothing came out until it was literally right before their second game uh in the summer league that he wasn’t playing. right before the game the the news came out that he wasn’t playing. So again, you talk about transparency, that’s absolutely it. It would be a lot easier if there was a moment in game one where you saw him like walk off the court grabbing his hand or something and then we could all go, “Oh, well, he’s hurt.” So yeah, or even if they immediately say, Keith, hey, look, we had him checked out by our medical staff. It’s a sprain. We’re not messing around with our third overall pick. We’re shutting him down for summer league. I I would be better with that than, you know, the slow bleed of information that you get, the drips that you get of information from the Sixers. It’s uh I don’t know how you do it, man. As a beat writer, I don’t know how you do it. It would drive me absolutely bananas. Uh when we come back, there’s a couple of guys that will be playing for the 76ers. Maybe not in the summer league, but will be playing. We haven’t touched on it a lot, but we are going to talk about them when we return. Jabari Walker comes to the 76ers. Keith Pompei, Dominic Barlo comes to the 76ers. Local ties at least with uh Dominic Barlo. Uh let’s start off with Jabari Walker. Signed to the Sixers a couple days ago. We haven’t really got much uh in on him. Uh what do you expect from him? What are the Sixers expectations with Walker? You know what? I I think Walker is a guy he he intrigues me because he’s a guy who signed is signed to a two-way contract who is basically a rotation um some might say a end of a rotation when he was younger but a definitely a rotation player in the NBA. Um I I I think that I wouldn’t be surprised that if later on in the season that his contract gets converted. I honestly do. I mean, here’s a guy, they need size. They need uh um athleticism. They need a guy that can, you know, do some of the things that he can do. I mean, 69 playing a small forward. He could play the two as I mean, excuse me, the four as well. Um I think that he’s a pretty good addition for them for basically with saying the two-way. But something tells me with him being here, don’t be surprised if later on in the season or like maybe January or or or before that to where people get traded or or maybe a someone who’s on a a non-g guaranteed contract like Allah Ricky Council, you know, you got to have your head on a swivel knowing that this guy is here because I I honestly feel like he’s good enough to be a full-fledged NBA player for for for the Sixers. So, yeah, the the word that jumps to mind for me when it comes to Walker is trajectory. You’re talking about a guy uh shot terribly his first year in the league from uh beyond the line, beyond the three-point line, 28%. he was able to get that up to uh slightly 29%. And then last year 30 almost 39% from beyond the arc. Uh yeah, if you’re going to bring that in and you’re going to help in that regard, I’m I’m all about it. Is this defensively speaking, is this a guy that could be that 3 and D guy or is he even better than that? Projected projected. I mean, he could possibly be that like I mean, honestly, I I do. Um I I I think that he can I mean, here’s the deal. like you know he’s 69 215 lbs you know and and we talk about you know defensively a a 3 and D now again you know he’s he averaged 0.6 six steals. Um he’s 0.5, you know, throughout his career, but he played in 188 games. I mean, he just has this length, his athleticism, like you said, he’s extremely raw, but you know, when you look at it, he’s a guy that should be on the NBA roster. And the fact that he is playing on this roster with a two-way leads me to believe that at least someone told him, “Bro, you have a chance of making it.” Like, and and the thing is, we talk about getting younger, right? We talk about getting younger, but then they have Kyle Lowry and Eric Gordon coming back. You know, I think this was the Sixers way of combating that. Like, okay, I got we got these two older guys. Let’s just sign Jabari to a two-way and see how it pans out. But something just I don’t know. Something just tells me that this guy came here because he’s of the belief or at least he he believes in himself that he can turn this into um a full-fledged NBA uh contract. And by the way, gonna turn 23 uh in a couple weeks. So yeah, a little bit little bit younger in that regard. Uh, the other thing that came to mind because you talk about his size, you know, how big the dude is and all that power forward position, the four spot. Talk about a small forward and all that. Is this a guy that could play that stretch three stretch four uh type of position for the Sixers? Well, it’s funny because he’s listed as a small forward at 69 215, but I do think in certain the thing about the stretch I I think we we want to see him. Now, he did shoot 38.9% uh last year, but I think we need to see him be a little bit more consistent before we say, “Okay, we’re going to leave you out there and have people like, you know, come out there and and and give us stuff.” Because to me, until if I’m the opposing team, until he buries down a lot of them, I’m like, “Bro, stay out there. Prove me wrong.” You know what I mean? Just prove me wrong. Now, he does have to become a better three uh a free throw shooter as well. You know, he shot 69% last year. He shoots 73% for his career. So, those are weaknesses. But to me, I look at him more as like an really athletic player, someone who can come in and be disruptive, you know what I mean? He could fulfill a role like, you know, uh on the defensive end, you know, he has long arms. he can get out there and and get deflections and he can finish around the rim, you know, but at the same time, you’re getting longer and and and and you know, he’s not going to be looked upon as, okay, we need you to score eight points or 10 points a game. Now, what we need you to do is we need you to grab, you know, like four rebounds a game, you know, get like maybe six points a game. Probably get a steal. We need some deflections. I think that’s what’s going to be, you know, more of his role. Fair enough. And now Barlo, another guy they’re bringing in here uh on a um a two-year deal as well, or is that what what the deal with Barlo? You know, and here’s another thing. Um Don Barlo is is funny because uh he’s another guy who’s 69. He’s uh 221 pounds now. He’s a power forward, but he can also slide out to the three. Now, Don Barlo, he played 96 games in the NBA. Um, you know, he played with uh the Atlanta Hawks last season. Before that, he played two two two seasons with the uh Spurs. But, but I look at him as a guy that does the same thing, you know. Now, again, he needs to improve his three-point shooting. I mean, he’s a career 25% three-point shooter. He shoots 51.9% from the field, but again, he’s one of these guys that you look at and you basically say, “All right, what are you going to do? Can you can you set screens? Can you get uh can you finish around the rim? Can you get some rebounds? What about defending?” Right? But when we look at it, what what position do they need? They need power forwards. Yeah. So, he’s 6 he’s 69, 225 pounds. You know, right now your other power forwards are um Janai uh Broom, right? And then the other one is is Trendan Waford. So, with that being said, you know, you you look at it and you say, “Okay, let’s do it.” Now, the last game that he played, he played extremely well. He he played uh he had uh 15 points on six for nine shooting. Um he had five rebounds and one assist and this was 34 minutes uh against the Orlando Magic when he played for um the Atlanta Hawks last year. So he played well in that game. But again, was that because people were resting people? You know, what was the deal? But when given the opportunity at times, you know, when he got extended minutes, you know, his numbers were pretty good when he got extended minutes. And look, I think I’m like a lot of people when you look at these deals, you want to see the guys obviously play, go back, watch some highlights, whatever, look at some numbers. But ultimately, when you see the words two-way associated with their contracts, the outlook is never all that great. But you’re telling me with Walker, you wouldn’t be surprised if this guy climbed up the ladder rather quickly. But with Barlo, uh, you would be a little surprised if he climbed up the ladder quickly. You know, I think he could climb up. I I think it’s open competition for all of them because see the thing is if you look at the 76ers, we just go over the history of of Daryl my recently, right? So, um, even, um, so when you have, let’s say, Ricky Council, you know, Ricky Counsel, he came in, he was a two-way player, and then all of a sudden, you know, they converted his contract to a uh to a regular standard deal. You look at Justin Edwards, a two-way player, who had his contract converted. The same thing with Jared Butler. They did the same thing with him before they waved him. And then they did the same thing with um Jeff Dout. So to me, when you get these guys in, you know, and the Sixers tend to always leave a open roster spot. So to me, I think that when they’re getting these dudes in, they’re basically telling them like, “Hey, look, if you compete hard, we can convert this contract.” Now, the one thing about Barlo is he had his contract converted with the Spurs and he also had it converted with the Atlanta Hawks. So, it’s not out of the rim that it couldn’t happen here. And to be honest, you know, the path for him is might be easier. It’s like, okay, we got Trendan Waford as the only legitimate power forward. We have Jana Broom who played one year of that in college, but he’s going to be a rookie, right? So, it’s it’s up to you to bust your tail to see if you can if you deserve that spot. So, yeah, I think it’s is an open competition even down to our guy um Hunter Silus. I think for all these guys, you know, the the competition is out there for them to do whatever they can to prove that they deserve to make um, you know, the 15 man roster. Hey, every great athlete when talking to guys that haven’t had the success that they’ve had yet, young guys coming up, they always say the same thing. It’s all about that opportunity. You get that opportunity, that opportunity is in summer league, that opportunities with the Blue Coats, that opportunity is in a 10-day contract with the Sixers, whatever. You take advantage of it. And the Sixers, and you’re right, they have dangled that carrot in front of many players. And a guy like Justin Edwards is probably the most recent and best success story of it all. Like going from that two-way deal, but uh to converting the deal to all of a sudden you’re talking about a three-year deal. That is that’s right there. That’s for the taking as motivation for these guys to hopefully fulfill um the their potential in the NBA. When we come back, Sixers summer league does get started in Vegas. The Vegas tour of the summer league gets started tonight. We’ll talk about the overall outlook out outlook of that when we return after this quick blink of a break. That’s an old radio term there, Keith. The old blink. The old blink spot. Just Oh, think about this. Think about this advertiser. Oh, just real quick. Oh. Anyway, uh so when it comes to uh Sixers tonight in summer league, San Antonio Spurs once again, VJ Edge injured dayto day. uh most likely not playing in the summer league with this u contusion that is now a sprain in his left thumb. Uh what are you looking for here against the Spurs just in game one tonight and then also looking for down the line in Vegas. Man, if it’s anything that we saw in Utah, I’m not I’m not uh excited. Not even not even Salace. I mean I mean yes maybe for him but overall it’s kind of like losing a lot of his luster, right? Um yes, I’m not excited. Uh the the thing is so they’re saying Dom Barlo is going to be with the team and play, right? So all right, I guess that if I’m a Sixers fan, I mean, think about it. It’s going to be 10:00 at night when the game starts. So now that so what you’re looking at is the highlight is okay we’re going to see what they can do but at the same time the guy the only new guy that you’re going to have for the most part is Don Barlo so let’s see what he can do right um to me I look at the schedule and if if Edgecom isn’t playing like you’re missing you go to summer league to look at head-to-head matchups of rookies and typically they tend to shut them down quickly So tonight it was supposed to be Dylan Harper against VJ Edgecom. Well, we’re not getting that. And then if he plays on Saturday, if he plays on Saturday, then we’ll have Dylan Harper. No, excuse me. You have VJ Edgecomb against Khan Canipple. But outside of that, at least that game is at 6:30, so it’s a little bit earlier. But outside of that, Mark, like what’s the excitement level? like honestly like you know maybe you might see Tyrese Maxi if he’s there you know sitting on on the on the floor in the floor seat um you may see Paul George but let’s be real man if if my man isn’t playing it loses some of it now who knows they may come out and play really well and play exciting and people may say hey this and that but you know if there was a player who I personally want to see what they do it’s going to be Judah Mintz. I want to see if he can continue that. But, you know, for as a casual fan, the fact that VJ Edgecom isn’t playing, I don’t know if I want to watch it. Yeah. Just being real. Oh, I hear you. This is This is how I feel about watching the game tonight because I’m going to watch the game tonight. But here’s how I feel about Yeah. Right. I know, right? We kind of do this show every day. You write about it. you know, we kind But from a fans and solely 100% a fans perspective, uh I would consider this game tonight if I’m a diehard Sixers fan. I don’t know what your favorite subject in school was, uh Keith, but mine was history. I love I really did like history. Okay. But I never like studying. I never wanted to. I never got excited to study the like I had to do it. This is the type of thing where I’m going to be studying the Sixers tonight like it’s history. Yeah, I love basketball, but I’m going to be watching this tonight more like it’s homework, but but the type of homework I don’t necessarily hate doing, I’m going to I’m going to that’s how I’m going to approach it. This is going to be my history homework tonight, watching the 76ers and seeing if guys like Salis can can build off his last performance. Seeing if Mintz can build off his last performance. Uh, and what two things I will say. Uh, Justin Edwards, give me please give me give me more of the guy I saw in game three. Let me see the guy that is the NBA player amongst a bunch of guys looking to be NBA players. Let me see that. Uh let me see more of a Dembona. Maybe not the the eight fouls. Maybe maybe not that. Maybe not the six fouls. Maybe not that. Let me just see a Dembona continue to look athletic and continue just to get better whenever I see him. Uh the last guy I’m going to look for is Slawson. Slawson is a guy that’s kind of off the beaten path for a lot of guys. Uh Jaylen Slawson. He plays a physical brand of basketball that I really like. Let me see him. And I thought he did it in the last game against the Memphis Grizzlies. If I’m watching for anything tonight, the the the headline’s not going to be there with VJ Edgecom. So, the more under the radar guys. Those are a couple of them. Slawson’s one of them as well. You know, I’m going to be rooting for my guy Andrew Funk out of Archbishop Wood. Hopefully, he gets a little bit more run there in Vegas. But if I have to watch for anything tonight, if we all got to do our homework tonight, Keith, those are the guys that I’ll be watching in the absence of VJ Edgecom. So, you always find a reason to watch, those will be the reasons I watch tonight. Yeah, I mean, yeah, they’re they’re pretty good reasons to watch it. The the thing is, you know, we Yeah, I mean, you you do want to see Edwards uh be a little bit more productive, you know what I mean, on the offensive end. uh I guess his shots to fall like like you said uh you know continuation of what he did in the last game because he did play well. So yeah, that’s something to look forward to. But you know from a entertainment standpoint, I mean because let’s face it, these games are bad. Like summer league games are tend to be I mean we’re going to be real like you know it’s funny. Last night I went out with uh two of my friends and and we were talking and they were asking they were saying okay they said that summer league basketball in their eyes is worse than preeason NFL football and I was like whoa right I was like whoa and and they were like seriously Keith they like because I agree I agree they said the stars don’t play like these young guys don’t play and then you’re like, well, who are we watching? Like, we’re watching a lot of guys who aren’t going to make the team make the roster and and things like that. And so, they have a point. So, what they do is the NBA hypes it up. And it’s funny, the teams that you’re paired and matched against, the matchups come are are are centered around where did you get drafted at and what position you play. Like for instance, we’ll have two of the top guards go up against each other, but there one was one went number four in the draft, the other one may have went go number six. So yeah, but when one of them doesn’t play, it’s kind of like I mean, seriously, you know, I agree. No, I agree. I I I wholeheartedly wholeheartedly agree. But yeah, we’ll we’ll scrap and we’ll find a way and we’ll find a reason to watch, study, and do our homework tonight. And I know, look, and I know the diehard Sixers fans, they will as well. Uh, hey Keith, you and I will be breaking it down tomorrow. I know. Right here on Locked on 76ers. I look forward to that. We’ll we’ll we’ll give our book reports tomorrow on the game when it comes to the Sixers squad. His name is Keith Pompei. Make sure you guys are following him on all social media platforms. HEY guys! What do you think about Sixers coaches? I see the same thing from last year! Our Bigs are always running to the perimeter to shoot threes!! Teams are running down the middle and getting extra rebounds! Smh!
This organization is a complete joke, they always create bad habits with these players we got the tallest sorriest fattest player in the league Embiid Who is soft as a as a two year-old baby all he wants to do is get paid and not playI can’t wait till y’all cut this straight bum.
Youll sixers fan sorry is fuck if he hurt why shud he play and last time i check no nba player have no say wen it comes to injury if the coach dnt wan him play wat the fuck he suppose to do
Stop playin blamin vj youll just see him play even if he hurt wow das crazy
Mark and kieth need to stop talkin shit
Next the sixers will say he has a ligament tear and will be out the first month on the season… LOL This just shows the why sixers are such a Sh$t Show
The Sixers are a horrible organization a complete embarrassment of the city of Philadelphia!!!!
Sixers did right 💯💯💯I KNOW YOU ANGRY, BUSINESS DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING
Nobody should question VJ. This is typical Sixers nonsense. They lie, mislead, misinform, and make mistakes so often, I never believe them when it comes to injuries.
The 76ers as an organization could possibly handle injuries worse than any other team in the NBA, it's actually pretty disgusting at this point.
Thanks guys really enjoy both your analysis of the Sixers I’m with Keith if VJ isn’t playing it’s a serious letdown and tough to watch we talking about our number one 2025 draft pick, thank Lock Down for your comments concerning Sixers being transparent about VJ’s thumb 👍🏾 injury and stop insulting the Fans
We the fans and the City of Philadelphia don't deserve this BS from the Sixers anymore— real rap! Theyve lied for so long they forgot how to tell the Truth. Last year, they wanted to move the team. I say peace out✌🏾 New Philly NBA team in 2030
We should’ve taking ace man kid is a stud
Is there anyone on the Sixers NOT injured….wtf
Dude, y'all cover the Sixers, y'all should know how they operate…. They've never cared about the Summer League. That's why Jared McCain isn't playing. He's not injured either, he's currently making YouTube videos and hanging out with his entourage.
After he dropped 28 points and 10 rebounds they said "Nah, your done!" They're just not gonna openly say that to the media because they know y'all will be mad about it.
I hate this teams front office/ medical staff with a passion… yea lets re sign kyle lowery and fucking ancient ass eric gordon, they cant play anymore get someone who can help or actually be on the floor… but still love the team. They need to clean house upstairs. And please find a way to offload PG trade him for a bag of balls and a cold tub and be done with it.
Lol , fans are just like whatever. Let go watch Broome.
Sixers do the most. If Cooper Flag playing , then what are we talking about. Yall be hype, I mean it was one game and took 27 shots to get 28 points. Calm down
1. The VJ injury nonsense is ridiculous. I'm feeling the organization is more resting then he is really hurt, which is annoying as hell. Can't change the culture if we using the same methodology with our young players. If he is learning to sit while little banged up this young early in his career, we are never going to get better.
2. In regards to these two-way players, it's all irrelevant. Yeah the players could work hard to get a guaranteed contract but what does it all mean if the coach and the organization is not willing to give them legit minutes. Ricky got his contract and now is on the bubble. Edwards just got his contract and now we trying to figure out where he is going to get his minutes behind PG and Obure. And Jabari and Barlow are both only 6'7/6'8 guys playing the PF. How are they going to help the team?
3. Completely right about summer league. The league hypes up the players just for the organizations to sit them. Unlike the NFL, the NBA is about the star players fans can see. Not seeing them ruins the experience.
6ers are a horrible franchise, run by weasels and nitwit. They are going nowhere. They are hopeless and not worth anybody's time. It's too bad we don't have pro basketball in Philly anymore.
Philly culture bros
VJ will be fine; not concerned. It’s summer league; sixers don’t want to take any chances so they came up with an injury lol. This dominick barlow kid looks interesting. He reminds me of a taller and more athletic Matisse thybulle and he’s only 22 , so still room for improvement on the offense side.

Here we go….
Sick of this dam team
They did it again. Pick all the wrong players fir the 3rd year in a row. Morey is a liar and Hardin spoke the Truth. He messed up every team h e has managed. VJ is hurt. Get rid if these players and start over. Bailey didn't want to come to a Bum Team. Manacannot pick Talent.
More of the same shit every year. Stop hiring hurt and players that can't shoot. The rookies look like they never Practiced. Allen Iverson did need Practice because he could shoot and defend the ball. Every player should have a medical check up before yiu hire any player. I guess the Sixers OWNER didn't know that. Its time to put your foot in everyone's behind. Fans don't come t o see bums play.
I'm about to be done with this team. Either anyone who becomes a Sixer we get excited about is now going to be injury-prone, or the Front Office is on their BS and trying to hustle the fans. After VJ's debut, the hungrier and hungrier they can make us to see VJ again, the more eager we will be to invest or reinvest back into this team.
It's nothing personal it's just business, is what they're saying basically, but for me it is personal…
