Thank you for having me. No problem, brother. We always good to have you here on, you know, and it’s pretty cool to do a live podcast, you know, for the first time like together, you know, we usually just at different places, but to be there at the same, you know, place at the same time, it’s pretty dope. Um, if we do start to lag or whatever, it’s probably because of PJ’s, you know, connection. Um, we’ve been having a little issues with it when we was testing everything out. So, if everything starts to lag or whatever, please forgive us. It’s going to come back up eventually, you know. But, um, shout out to PJs for letting us, you know, streaming here today as well. Plus, we’re going to try to keep it a little low. We have other people in here talking as well. So, you know, maybe once the people leave, then maybe we’ll talk a little bit louder. But shout out to everybody that’s here so far. I see my girl Brooke in the chat, you know, ready to support us. Shout out to you, Brooke. And shout out to everybody that’s watching, whether you’re watching from YouTube or you’re watching from the Twitter side as well, man. But today’s going to be a good day, man. We’re going to talk about a little bit of the Saints quarterback battle again, you know, as they getting ready to go into training camp. Uh, so we’re going to talk about the new Saints uniforms, man. Then the new white homes. remember was predicting what it was the other night and guess what happened? It came out the next day or two with the uniforms that we thought it was going to be. So, shout out to Logan calling it out saying it was going to be the white ones. So, that’s going to be a nice one. I see Hurricane Mike in the chat as well. Who that to your hurricane? How you doing, brother? Um, and then also for the Pelican side, man. We’re going to talk about the new rookies, man, with their two games so far. Truise two guard guys that I really like from the first round picks. So, we’re going to talk about how they fit in, you know, with the team and all that as well. But, um, Logan, let’s start off with the Saints side, cuz that’s what we normally, you know, used to as Saints, you know. So, what are you thinking about the new uniforms, man, with the white and the gold face mask and all that? So, I was already kind of in the know that it was going to be a white helmet because Twitter’s probably the best like investigators more than FBI these days. And I like them. I like the gold metal flaking that they have uh on the white part of it. It’s kind of like uh like you see the metal flake cars going around town like the little muscle cars, low riders. But I like the gold stripe. The gold is actually gold. It meshes well with and it matches well with the uh the color rush very well which we’ve been asking the team to do for many many years. And I’m hoping this is a trend in the right direction that maybe that they’re going to actually add gold back to the colorways because what they wear now was not gold. It’s more like tan or khaki pants that you see in school. Oh yeah. But I I do like the white helmets and that’s so far out of all the uniform reveals, I would say that’s they’re probably in my top two that they’ve revealed so far. Oh, for sure. And this was the picture we saw Tuesday, you know, like what we was thinking. And like you were saying, a lot of people still want that gold jersey to come back, you know, like and even Ken Jordan posting it all over the place like get us some gold jerseys back. And then they little hinted out remember about us possibly getting some, you know, new jerseys too. So with I think Cam Jordan, you know, saying, “I want gold jerseys back. Trust me, bro. I’ve been pushing to get them. Maybe the Saints finally come out with some gold wins this year cuz you know Cam Jordan ain’t going to be here much longer, right? So, I mean, I know that I read off the uh the Uni Watch website cuz everything that you want to know about uniforms, you go to them and also the sports logos uh website and everything. Uh I know July 22nd they’re coming out with some new uh uniforms. A lot of teams are getting you new alternate. So, the Saints is the Saints’s new uniforms are scheduled to be released July 22nd. And it I’m hoping that it would be like the 80s throwbacks, but it’s sounding more that I hear the whispers through the grapevine and things like that. It’s probably going to be gold uniforms now. Is it going to be gold or is it going to be actually tan? That tan color that they classify as gold? Uh, don’t know. I would kind of hope that if you go back to when they actually wore them against the Vikings in 2002, I believe, or even 200, I think it was 2002, they wore them once and never wore them again. That was a fairly decent color, gold. Now, they didn’t wear them ever again because we got our tails whipped by Randy Moss that night, but um yeah, I would like to see a gold comeback. If it’s not gold, then like I said, I’ve been clamoring for like, you know, the uh the 80s era, Dome Patrol era, Bobby Abe era uniforms to come back. But I think it would be good to see the the gold uniforms come back. Especially if they do it correctly. That’s all you can ask for is they do it correctly. Oh, nice. I think it would be nice if we could get some gold like you said with the helmet. Like the gold that’s on the helmet. What if they can come out with a jersey that matches that gold? That would be legit. Now you can tell yourself, Steelers, y’all really are legit yellow now. We’re the legit gold. You know, I don’t know why they say black and gold. They not black and gold. They black and yellow. I don’t know how they think that’s gold. Well, the one thing I would say about that is I mean, they’ve been black and yellow as long as I’ve been alive. And then also since their incarnation and Whiz Khalifa has a song called Black and Yellow and it’s about the Pittsburgh Steelers. He didn’t call it Black and Gold. And that’s just that’s an argument that they could just or a debate they just cannot win. Yeah, for sure. What do you think about Hurricane Mike’s comment right here? He said, “What if they came out with an all gold uniform with all gold helmets, too?” I think you have to have a little bit of contrast. And honestly, if you go back to the original ones from 2002, they had black pants, and I thought that contrasted well. Now, my idea has always been, okay, if you’re going to have a gold uniform, they kind of do the inverse thing that I’ve seen some teams do, uh, black helmet, but fix the the black helmet because that was an abomination. But, um, black helmet, gold jersey, black pants, and gold socks, kind of black and gold. Like, have some contrast if you’re going to do that. Now, all all gold could work, but like what I’m picturing in my head, I don’t think I would like it too much, but it very well could work. It might not work as well as like, you know, the all white that they’re going to be doing with the with the white helmet, but you know, all gold it would not be for me, but I’d be curious to see if that would happen. Oh, for sure. I think it would be too much gold. I would say for all gold, but like you said with the one from like 2002 when Aron Brooks was in it for that one time only with the gold black, you know, and all that. I think that would look nice. That combination would look pretty good together. But let’s give a shout out to everybody that’s in the chat now. Everybody’s popping on in here. I see Jerry the OG. Who that to your brother? We got my brother Kaf saying, “Hold up. They together.” No, we’re not together. We just randomly made it look like we’re together. No, I didn’t mess with you, brother. Who that to you, man? I see Sydney Cox in here as well. Who that to you? I hate when they say Steelers are black and gold. Yes, I know, right? They black and yellow. Jerry said, “No disrespect to the Steelers, but they black and yellow. Saints are black and gold.” Yes, it’s been that way since the beginning, since 1967, basically black and gold. Black and yellow. So, I mean, if you ask I’m sure if they ask Terry Bradshaw what is their Steelers colors, he’ll say black and yellow. and he’s from Louisiana and he’s an undercover Saints fan too is at that so he’ll be able to distinguish the difference. So for sure for sure man. So let’s get into it man. Spencer Rler versus Tyler Sucks bro. We’re about to go into training camp. We’re about to find out who’s going to be the real story. Who wants this more? Um but it seems like I’m hearing from other you know reporters hearing other YouTubers talk about it with the connections they have. Um and I know you got a lot of connections as well. So like you probably hear the same thing that I’m about to say right now. It sounds like this is Tala sucks job to lose. It sounds like cuz they said no matter what unless somehow Spencer Rler throws this man into the storm and this out beat him so bad then that’s when Spencer R will basically get the start. So it sounds like Tyler Sus is the favorite to start no matter what because that is Kell Moore’s guy, right? And you’re correct in what you’re hearing and that’s exactly what I’m hearing too and this basically is Tyler Shook’s job to lose. Now, don’t get me wrong. I do hope Spencer Rattler does well in this battle in camp, but like Tyler Shuck was drafted because that is Keller Moore’s guy. Spencer Rattler does have a lot of fans in the building, especially within the front office. But before I was, you know, 6040 on the Tyler Shook, Spencer Rattler battle like early on and when I was coming on your shows, but now it’s more like, you know, I’ve increased it to like it’s like 8020, more like 9010. Like I’m expecting Tyler Shuck to uh be the starting quarterback when it comes to week one unless like you know he just stinks it up in preeason or even training camp which I don’t expect because all everything that I’ve heard is that he looks fantastic in camp or in OTA’s mini camps as well as Spencer Rattler has too but like you said and I just mentioned and that everyone else has mentioned he is Kell Moore’s guy. He was brought in for a reason. Kellmore sees something in him. So, I think we’re uh we’re going to be seeing Tyler Shook take the snaps at the starters by week one against the Cardinals. Yeah. And the funny part is we all were mad when he got drafted, right? Especially in the position like we said, well, if you would took him in the third, we wouldn’t be as mad. But you could do it in the second round kind of a but you know the one thing I did notice is that Kell Moore really likes Tyler Sucks and Kelly Moore looks like he can work with any quarterback in the NFL software that he had. So maybe he sees something that we didn’t see in this guy. You know, maybe we didn’t see nothing in it because he only played one full season healthy. But maybe he has something that we just don’t know and we’re about to see it now. The one thing I will say is a lot of us wasn’t happy with the pick efforts, but I’m obviously growing. He’s grown on me. And the reason why is because of that Satan Brown podcast he went on to and the brothers trying to roast New Orleans again. And the dude was like, “Yeah, man. They told me the food was all great and all that.” And I think it’s overrated, bro. They’re not that food’s not that good like I thought it was and all that. And he was like, and then Tyler Sus goes back at him and said, “Well, maybe that’s why you’re not on the Saints anymore. Like that’s why you’re not on the team anymore.” And he just kind of smirked at the carer. You know, that moment right there made me made made him grow more because he’s trying to stick up for the city, you know, and the team that he wants to play for. So, um, I’m hoping that Tyler Suck comes in here and be the next Jos Allen kind of guy. You know what I’m saying? Jos Allen came and nobody wanted him. Remember, Bill’s fans were booing him while you drafted him over this guy and look where he is now. He’s loved by the fans and everybody loves him. So, hopefully he can turn into something like that. But also, I want Rally to get a chance too cuz he didn’t get a fair shot last year, right? So, I see it from both sides. Like I was like everyone else when we drafted Dollar T I didn’t if it did cuz at first going into the draft a lot of before he rose up draft boards he was rated like as a sixth round pick and then you know after meetings and workouts and things of that nature through the pre-draft process start rising up draft boards and then you see people like you know Lewis Riddick who I I have a tons of respect for love him if he was in our front office Lewis Riddick. So, and then he gets drafted in the second round. But I think the one thing that I’ve realized since we’ve drafted Tyler Chuck Well, I have grown on him. And the only thing that he can do is just think it ruin it from here by stinking it up, which I hope he doesn’t. But I’m starting to think that he’s going to actually play really uh really well for us cuz he’s doing it all the right things. The little things that he’s coming in doing that I’ve heard about. But also, I think another reason why people like me and other Saints fans were mad was you like, you know, Shadur Sanders was available right there and we was all clamoring for him because we knew what Shadur Sanders can do from his time at Jackson State to this time at Colorado and we I still think Shadur Sanders is going to be elite at some point when the Browns give him a starting job. But when it comes to Tyler Shuck, I think uh we might have a good one because I think, you know, if he winds up being everything that I comped him to be, kind of like, you know, a more mobile Nick Fos, then I think we’re going to be okay. We’re not asking him to be like, you know, a Drew Brees. We’re not asking him to be Patrick Mahomes. Just go be Tyler Shuck. And as for uh Spencer Rattler, this can only make you better. I know it sucks that you’re probably not going to be the starter, but that doesn’t mean quit because whenever it’s time for your number to be called, you’re going to be ready because, you know, Spencer Rattler is kind of battle tested at this point. He has those games underneath his belt with uh those six games, even though it’s not great, but you know, I think he’s battle tested enough to farewell in this competition. And when the time comes and like say Tyler Shark does like you know knock on wood get injured or he thinks set up then Spitzer goes in and shines then we’re fine no matter what. So, this is a good problem to have if you have two young good quarterbacks in your room going from none to like two potentially three if Hunter Deckers like you know is your third string over Jay Kainer which I hope he is but yeah so we have a interestingly good problem to have first time in 25 years that the Saints have had a legitimate I I I want to big bold the word legitimate quarterback competition since like you know Jeff Lake and Aaron Brooks because let’s be honest Jamus and Taesm that wasn’t a legitimate and battle. So this is the first quarterback battle in New Orleans since the year 2000. Oh yeah 100. And then the other thing I would say too is that I wonder if RER is going to be even hungrier this season. Not only just because hey you know you had to sit behind Derek Car and all that. You got your opportunity but you didn’t get opportunity that was fair with the starter. you just had to play with, you know, practice wide players. And then not only that, man, he got, you know, hungry and got, you know, outplayed by Caleb Williams when he was, you know, playing for his, um, Oklahoma days. And then he, you know, transferred to South Carolina, you know, worked on himself, you know, and got himself drafted by the Saints, right? And he was supposed to be a first second round pick, you know, second round pick, fell down to the fifth round for us. So, he’s probably hungry about that, but also he’s gonna be hungry now because Tyler sucks is gonna come in here now and try to take your job because this is Kell Moore’s guy. So, this dude’s got to be having some type of, you know, he’s got to be hungry inside right now and they’ll be like, I already got beat out by Caleb Williams before, you know, took my job at Oklahoma and I had to transfer to South Carolina to do what I got to do. I finally got drafted to a team that believed in me and now they changed their head coach and now that coach has drafted his player, not me. So, he’s got to be, you know, I feel like he’s got to be hungry right now, ready to get that starting position to stop getting, you know, tested by other people, right? And competition can bring out the best in people and it can also break the worst of people. Now, Spencer R doesn’t seem like it’s going to break him. He actually looks like he welcomes competition like, you know, most athletes do. I mean, we’re competitive in nature and I’m been hearing Spencer Rattler has been taking this very well. Him and Tyler seem to be getting along from what I’ve been hearing as well. And I think this is going to be a really great competition because if you have two quarterbacks who can start like he’s your he’s my quarterback 1A and he’s my quarterback 1B, I mean, you have a good problem. So like if one goes down, you can put the other one in and not have to worry about like, you know, missing a step on your offense. Like the offense is still going to fire on all cylinders no matter who’s in that quarterback, whether it’s Shuck or if it’s uh Spencer Rattler. So I just I firmly believe in both of the quarterbacks, but uh I still firmly believe that, you know, like we mentioned earlier, this is Tyler Shook’s job to lose. And I firmly expect Spencer Rattler to give him a run for his money because it looks like because now they know Kell Moore is going to be here for a while. That’s the expectation because with DA there was probably people inside the building that didn’t expect him to be here for a long time. So Kell Moore now has like you know three different I mean not Kell uh Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shuck have three different coaches on the staff outside of you have Kell Moore, you have Doug Nusmire and Scott Toline. All three of them have played the position. They have to feel comfortable now in that world more than ever. So, this is going to be a really great competition. Oh, for sure. And the one thing I never, you know, thought about to this now, Kell Moore, the dude, used to be a quarterback, Boise State, really good quarterback and just never really made it to the NFL like that. But he’s been a successful offensive coordinator, you know, and it seems like since he played that quarterback position before, he can, you know, pass some of his knowledge down that he might have not had when he first started and why it didn’t why he didn’t make it as a quarterback, you know, and just like you said, Nmire, you know, can help out as well. He played quarterback. Um, and what about, you know, Garrett Nuzmire and would they, you know, see if Rattler and Sus the guy and then next year they do terrible, do they go after Nesmire son? You know, we’ll see. It’s definitely an intriguing thing. Now, I mean, I see a lot of these predictions going around that like, you know, Adam rank who’s on NFL Network, who I’ve watched for years, that he’s nine out of 10 times wrong. And don’t I hope that doesn’t offending offend him or anybody, but you know, he predicted like, you know, the Saints will go like two and 15. And I just disagree with that. I say that I disagree with that because think about this. Saints had two different coaches last year. You had Dennis Allen to start off and then you you finish it off with Darren Rzy. They won five games. The Saints got improved on the roster in some ways. You go out and get Kell Moore. I think he’s a way better coach than or head coach I should I say than Dennis Allen and Darren Rzy. If this team is worse than the team last year then you have bigger problems than just like you know Kellen Moore and other things of that nature. So like we’ve mentioned this the the show before six wins I think is the floor the ceiling I think is seven and I think the roof is eight. I don’t think you’re going to be worse than six wins because I think you are way better than five and 12. I think you can be in a six and 11 team, but if things go well and you find like your momentum like you know the Washington Commanders did with Jaden Daniels, but it’s an anomaly because Jaden Daniels is Jaden Daniels. But if Shuck just goes out there and is great or Spencer Rattler goes out there and he’s just great this year because of Kell Moore having his hands on the buttons this year, then like I said, you could reach the roof at 8 N or you could reach the ceiling at seven and 10. But I just don’t see this being a two and 15 team. Not me. Right. And I don’t think the March for Arch is on either like a lot of people are hoping that we tank for two years, which is going to be two years. He’s not coming out in 26. But as for the Garrett Nosmire, it’d be interest if the Saints do just wind up being horrible, then I could see a world where like, you know, Doug says, “Hey, Kell, let’s go draft my boy and let let’s see what happens.” I mean, because if Garrett Nusmire has a Heisman Trophy type of season like I expect them to, then the Saints are picking like, you know, top three hypothetically and he’s right there, it’s like, do you pass on him and just hope Tyler Shuck is the guy that you’re hoping he is after a poor rookie year or do you go after like, you know, Garrett Nelmar who’s been basically coached by Doug most of his life and developed by him and all that, but it’d be an interesting thing, but I just I don’t see a world where the Saints are picking top three. I’m thinking maybe top 15 at the very least where the Saints are going to be picking. I mean, I kind of like agree on everything. I don’t think we’re going to be a two and 15 team. I don’t know where this man’s got his knowledge from about us being 21 and 15, but the one thing I will say if Tyler Sucks or Spencer Rley turns out to be the guy and we can just click on I think the Saint can have a more successful than eight wins. I just feel like this season is going to be one one of three ways. Number one, we’re going to be tanking just for some reason. They just want to tank get a top five pick. Cool. We understand that. Or the quarterbacks struggle a little bit, but we’re still good enough to win six games. We win one more than we did last year. Or three, the quarterbacks do play out to be who we think they can be. And everybody underestimates us. Everybody’s doing two and 15. The media’s talking [ __ ] about the Saints all day. And what happens in that locker room when people talk [ __ ] and down us? We always win. And this could be one of the first seasons we had where a head coach came into the New Orleans and changed it around since Shawn Payton did in 2005 when he came back in 2006 season and just brought us literally from a terrible team to 11 wins and the playoffs. I think Kell Moore can have that type of season if he knows how to utilize Tyler Suss or Rattler, whoever it is. And a lot of people are worried about the defense. I’m not worried too much about it. I do think Stanley’s a really good defensive coordinator. He’s not a good head coach, just like Denny, not a good head coach, but a good defensive coordinator. And I think he’s going to utilize the people correctly to make sure that defense stays in check. Plus, hopefully we get a Sante Samuel soon to add to that quarterback room as well because Stanley knows how to use him already, right? And it would be Sante Samuel Jr. would be a great pickup. And the one thing that I actually was telling uh Ralph uh Marboro this on the timeline yesterday on Twitter that this seems very reminiscent of the Saints going flipping the chapter from the Dicka years to the Hlet years where you know Dick was horrible in his three years as the Saints head coach goes from six and 10 six and 10 to three and 13. You go three years under Dennis Allen. Now you’re flipping it to Killer Moore and then Jim Hlet’s first year, everyone counted the Saints out. They all thought the Saints was going to be like 1 and 15 or 0 and 16 and then you like, you know, the Saints start off eight and 8 and four. Jeff Lake broke his leg in one of those weeks when the Saints was kind of rolling and then Aaron Brooks comes in and then we go to the playoffs and beat the greatest show on turf in the playoffs. So, which was unexpected. So, if the Saints can kind of have sort of that kind of year where it’s a 2000 type of year or even a 2006 where everyone is kind of the Saints out, I’m not saying playoffs are a must, but if you can muster up like, you know, seven, eight wins, then you have kind of you’re on the right track. Cuz like I said, back in 2000, 25 years ago, everyone counted the Saints out, go off to the playoffs. 2006 after hurricane, everyone count the Saints out. They go to the NFC Championship. So maybe it’s gonna be like one of those years they’re counting the Saints out because of the quarterback room and Kell Moore unproven this that and the other. Maybe it’s going to be like the same thing like it did in 2000 and 2006. That’s what I’m thinking and that’s what I’m hoping for because let’s say we just have an average receiver, right? Let’s say we get six wins, one more win than last year. Now you’re going into the next season still wondering, okay, how do we get better, right? We still got the same roster. We still got some of the same players. What do we do this all season to get better? Or you have a really good season because you found some of the pieces. And then let’s say you finished with 10 wins, 10 and seven, you make it to the playoffs, you win the first game, you know, or whatever. Then you know the final year, okay, this is what we was missing. Instead of we was missing all of this, we’re just missing maybe one or two pieces. That’s what I’m hoping it comes to where we’re just missing one or two piece this year. Not okay, we swear they are terrible. We definitely need to find another dude at quarterback. We definitely need to find um another running back. We definitely need to help to get this and that. I’m hoping it’s not like that. I’m hoping that they can connect everything and be basically the next Shawn Payeyton and get everything in check. That’s what I’m hoping Kelly Moore has. And he’s just giving me He’s just giving me a Shawn Payeyton vibes. He’s just giving me the vibes of Shawn Payton. But that’s just me though. But shout out to Big Daddy Jubie in the chat. Look at him. My dad’s in there watching us. Shout out to you. I see my boy Zack in the chat as well. Who that to you, Zach. I put the link in the chat for you, Zack, if you want to hop on in. He said, “Okay, give me a second.” Sounds good, brother. We’ll see you in a second. But we do have my boy Hurricane Mike on, man. And you know, he got his own podcast as well. So, we’ll bring him on for a few minutes, you know, let him talk with us. And then once we done talking some Saints football and all that, we’ll jump into some Pelicans basketball and see what we got to say about them. So, let’s bring on Hurricane Mike. What up, Hurricane Mike? How you doing, brother? I’m I’m doing good. How about y’all? We’re doing good, man. So, you want to touch up on anything that we just talked about about the quarterback battles, the uniforms? Well, yeah. So, well, okay. So, the first thing about the quarterback battle, um, earlier in the show, I noticed how you said everyone didn’t like the pick of Tyler Shuck at first, and that was actually true cuz when we originally took Tyler Shook, I was like, I wasn’t as mad as some people were. I was like, “All right, it’s not Sanders. It’s not even Dylan Gabriel or someone like that caliber.” I was glad it wasn’t Jaylen Mro. I’ll say that. But I was I was looking and I was like, “Okay, I mean, we could do worse until I was basically in that 50/50 range.” But then I ain’t gonna lie. Like I ain’t trying to copy everything that you said, but bro, when I saw that podcast of the same the same brown pockets, cuz I didn’t know what it was going to be about. I thought Tyler Chuck was just there to talk ball, right? But like the first minute it was like, “Maybe that’s why you’re not a team.” Bro, I’m telling you, when he said that line, I wanted to call some people to make a statue of this man outside my freaking window so I can see him every single morning. Cuz that that scene, bro, from that podcast was so funny. It was like it it had nothing to do with football. It was like, bro, you come at us, we’re going to come back at you. So that was the funny thing about it. It was like, yeah. So Tyler Shuck, will he be the best quarterback? Probably not. But look, I’m just asking them to be cuz like the quarterback play for the Saints since Drew Brees walked out the door has been the best it was was 2021 James Winston before he got hurt. That’s the best quarterback play we have gotten since Bree walked out that door. And to be honest, most of that was because Shawn Peyton was still around and then Peyton left and then bro, what was the better? Like, bro, 2023 Derek Carr was probably the best. And I’m not trying to defend Derek Car, but like 2023 Derek Carr was probably the best season we had since John Payeyton left. And that’s saying some cuz Derek Car was not even good that year. But yeah, and and the uniforms, I like them, you know. I think they’re definitely fresh, you know, white helmets and stuff, you know. You know, I really I I really want to see what they’re going to do with like the pants and stuff, you know, cuz that that would be interesting. But yeah, that’s basically my takes on the uniforms and stuff. Okay. What you think? I I don’t mind the uniforms at all. Like I said, they the with the helmets and like them matching it up with the color rush. I think it’s going to go over well. That’s my top three so far of the uniforms that have reveal that they’ve revealed so far. Number one that that they’ve revealed so far is the commanders. I mean, I absolutely love that they’re going back to what the old Gibbs days. I mean, that’s what it should be. I’m not saying they should change the name back. I could care. It’s neither here nor there for me. that’s above my pay grade. But, you know, I really love I and the Commanders them them throwing it back to the original like, you know, Gibbs era, Doug Williams era uniforms. And after that, I I like the throwback Seattle uniforms that they got coming out. And then that after that number three, I got to say the Saints all whites are very icy. Oh, for sure. So, what do you think about what Hurricane I said about the quarterback? You think ever since Drew Brees left, do you think the best quarterback play was Jameus Winston, but that was because of Sauron Payeyton? And then after that, Derek Hor 2023 season when he first came probably with the best. So the way I’ve always told people this and I always get flack for talking negatively about Jameus Winston and but at this point I don’t care. I’m not in the market to make friends like that. Anyway, um, when it comes to the 2021 season that Mike was talking about, I truly believe Shawn had Jamus on a very tight leash. Like, and when I say tight leash, I mean a tight leash because he was just coming off of his 30 for30 season, which is still insane to even think about. So, Shawn definitely had a a hand in that. But then after James got hurt, it just was downhill from there. But then they tried it the next year. I think when Shawn was gone, it did not work out whatsoever at all. And it goes to show you how good of a coach that Shawn was, of course. I mean, he’s going to be in a Hall of Fame one day. Oh, yeah. So, but all in all, I mean, as far as the quarterback battle, I think it’s going to be very, very interesting. Oh, for sure. Definitely, man. I mean, I would say I love Jamus Winston. You know, I’m always going to support Jameus Winston just because his personality is just a good human being. He’s good in the locker room. Everybody loves him. You know, at the end of the day, what could the Saints have done that year, Rash Payton if Deon White didn’t pull him down by the, you know, Collison and basically torn, you know, he was he was doing good and then, you know, went down. So, if that didn’t happen, what would have happened? Like that’s the question you ask yourself. What would Jame Wson look like before he tore his, you know, got his ACL tour and I said, “What? We was five and two about the beat the Bucks that game too.” Well, we wind up beating the Bucks anyway cuz u Kevin White out of all people remember that comment on the radio on the uh thing. Kevin White out of all people. I don’t know if you remember that famous one. I remember that guy saying it on live TV. Hey, Kevin White out of all people. Oh my god. Um yeah, one of the most famous thing we somehow still, you know, beat him, but after that just went downhill, you know, having him too at quarterback. Um what was his name? Um the quarterback that came in and relieved this that Simeon, man, out of all people helped us win the game, too. You know, it was crazy. So, you just think about it. How many wins we win that game? It was five and two and then we w up only going like I think nine. We’ve got nine and eight. nine and eight. So just think if James would have never got hurt, but the way he was playing with son, I think we could have had a 10, 11 win season with him, which would have been crazy. You would have never heard nobody would have never thought about that with James Winston that I mean thinking about that, I mean going into the season, even when he was playing that way on a very very tight leash, I still thought the Saints was only going to win nine at the most. But because I mean I never really thought Jamus was the guy for us and I caught Flag for it. But uh you know I didn’t think he was the guy. I didn’t think Ta was the guy. I said like everyone kept asking me who’s the guy. Then I said he’s not on the roster. I said they got to go out and go draft him. I was preaching it for years. I was like after Teddy left I’m like they got to go draft somebody. But everyone thought James was the air parent and I kept trying to tell people he wasn’t. I was like, “Okay, I hope he plays well, but I still don’t think he’s the guy.” But, you know, it I think it’s going to work out better for us this way. Like, I know we’re saying that years later now, but I think we’re set up better with Tyler Shook and Spencer Rattler for now. Well, I mean, for three young quarterbacks to be on the rush at one time is pretty good. I mean, they all the same age, you know, they all very young. So, like at least we know we’re not going to get a quarterback that cannot run at all cuz they all young. They all got first less. So we at least we know everybody can scramble if we need them to. Especially Tyler SS watching his highlights, you know, especially R watching him last year, taking off when he needed to. That’s going to help us out tremendously. The only thing I would say just to kind of top off the last conversation about Jamus, I felt like so many people hated him so much because of the 30 for 30, which was really 33 for 30. They should rename it 33 for 30. The man really went positive. But just just to say it like this, I think a lot of Saints fans didn’t like him at first because he was coming from the Bucks. you know, remember the situations he got in with um where he got Mike Evans to fight Vladimir Light on the field and stuff like that. But when he came into this locker room, he was a different person. Sean changed him around. And it’s kind of like the topic we were listening to today at church, imperfect, right? Jamus was imperfect. He wasn’t the perfect quarterback. But guess what? Shawn Payeyton is like Jesus. He was helping him go from imperfect to a better person. And he was helping him. He was holding him on the lease and making sure he was that better version of himself, which he was. and he was getting better, but somebody towards AC ACL and we’re just going to see the rest. So, you know what I’m saying? If I could have seen seen when without the ACL, I think we all would have changed our mind differently about him and say, “Okay, with Shawn, he’s a different guy.” But if he you let him off the leelf, he’s not the same quarterback. And that’s why we’re saying some quarterbacks need to be coached. Like we said with Nuzmire, right? His dad. What if they go get Nuzmire? Well, at least he’ll listen and probably get better because he’s got his dad to listen to and Kell Moore the head coach who you know all and he’s always around Kell Moore because of his dad. So that might be a good situation too. But there’s no point of wasting a you know first round pick on this Meyer if he doesn’t turn out to do like a Joe Burrow kind of year and if Tyler Sucks or Rattler steps up and be that guy there’s no point of wasting it, you know, if they can be that guy. Um, I’m just praying that Tyler Sucks and Rin are both good. Like you said, 1 A, 1B to where you don’t have to worry about, oh [ __ ] if Tyler Sus goes down, we’re, you know, or, hey, R goes down, we’re screwed. I want it to be 1 A, one B to where we in a good situation. That would be the best scenario possible. And that’s all we can pray for. That that’s that’s the way it goes, you know. But I see my boy Randy, he said, “What up, fellas? Arch coming out, too?” No, he’s not. Not not young Nola. Um, Archer’s coming out in 27. He’s coming out 27 27 from everything I’ve been hearing. Unless he has a Joe B year, you said. Unless like, which that’s the thing. I don’t get where all these people are saying, “Oh, yeah, Arch is coming out after one year. He’s only started I keep trying to tell people he’s only started two games total.” I’m not. And everyone keeps saying, “You’re hating on Arch.” I was like, “I’m No, I’m I’m not. I covered his games in high school. I covered his games in high school. I seen him with my own eyes play. I know how great he is, but if I’m not saying he’s bad, but I’m like, if you can’t take the starting job from Quinn Urus then, who just went in the sixth or seventh round, then come on, Al. But I’m thinking Arch is going to be really good for Texas these next two years. And I think Arch is probably going to be a a number one pick or a top three pick at the very least in 2027. But if I had to guess, he’s him and Jeremiah Smith in 2027 gonna be battling up for that number one spot and go. Mhm. I’m trying to figure out. So besides Nuzmire and Mannon, who are some other quarterbacks that are expected to be elite top five picks, you know, coming out the draft the next two years? So for 2026, I can tell you 2027, I really can’t at the moment. Not I’m a little bit behind in 27, but like you know 2026 you got not saying they’re going to be top five, but you know you have Nusmire, you have K Club Nick from Clemson, you have Kevin Jennings from SMU who I think is going to be like a like a mobile or like when I say like a like a four a Teddy Bridgewire that runs a 42 cuz he is a fast kind of guy and he’s got a cannon of an arm. But those are the three quarterbacks that come to mind at the moment. Now, there could be cuz I don’t know who’s going to be the starters for any of these schools this year. I know I know Bama’s got Tyler Ty Simpson. They expect to be the starter, but I don’t know how good he’s going to be. But, you know, Alabama people are praising him to be the next one. They said they’re about Jaylen Milro and he wasn’t, but we’ll see. Um, so yeah, the three quarterbacks I have very much intrigued on in 2026 are Garrett Nusmeire, Kevin Jennins from SM SMU, and K Clubnick from uh Clemson. Now, I got to do more research and get into my little draft nerd things. So, but yeah, the on the arch thing, he’s not coming out though 2027. And I wish people would absolutely learn that. But like a if he throws 60 touchdowns this year, then he’s probably going to come out. But I think he he just knowing the family and everything I’ve heard 2027, they want him to actually get that degree and go like four years then come out because if you look at, you know, Payton and Eli did it. I think Payton came out a little bit early and I think Eli did all four years, but you know, yeah, Archer is not coming out until 2027. Oh yeah. So, I guess to actually just to go off topic a little bit, so next year, let’s say the Saints somehow screw it up or they taint for some darn reason and we get a top three, top five pick, who are you going after? Um because I heard that the Ohio State receiver is one of the best receivers out of next year’s draft. Would you pick somebody up like him? Is there somebody else that’s on your mind? Will a LSU Tiger receiver step up and become an elite neighbors and Jamar Chasing at you like Anderson? Will he step up and become that dude for us? You know, like that’s the real question. What do you what do you go with if we just tank or rethly stink it up and get a top three top five pick? What are you going? So, if we tank unbelievably out of the blue in 2026, so so if we tank this year and we’re picking top three in the 2026 draft, then and Garrett Nosmire has the Heisman X season that I expect him to have, I would probably go, crazy enough, go drafty Garrett Nosmire. I mean, the way that people that have heard heard it is draft. I think uh Matt Mone has said it. It’s like the nickel slots. Draft them until you hit on one. Draft them until you hit on one. And eventually you’re going to hit on one. And Garrett Nosmire looks like he’s going to be a hit this year after sitting for all these years, finally developing, and now he’s going to have a second year on the Joe Sloan as the offensive coordinator. So, if it was me, I would say Garrett Nelmire in this draft, but 2027, if it if the Saints do poorly in the 2026 season and you’re picking top three, no offense to Arch Manning, but I would go with Jeremiah Smith from Ohio State. you know, like I said, no offense arena, but Jeremiah Smith in the 2027 draft, I would expect him to be picked number one overall or number two. I’m not saying that he’s Calvin Johnson or any of these Hall of Fame receivers, but I truly believe that he’s the next great one these elite like just jumps off the page at you like a Jamar Chase kind of. Yeah, he’s just seems like a unicorn as receiver. So 2027, I would definitely say Jeremiah Smith in that hypothetical scenario. 2026, I would say Nusmeire for for now, unless things change. Yeah. Okay. Well, let’s hop over to the Pelican side now. So, summer lease, two games already happened already for the Pells. Um, two of our first round picks, you know, that we really are looking forward to. Jeremiah Fears and Derek Queen. Now, a lot of people, a lot of Pel fans are split right now. Half of them are happy about Derek Queen. Some people ain’t happy with what we gave up to get Derek Queen. Now, what I do like about Derek Queen is he’s one of those powerful/cinners that is reminds me of what Demarcus Cousins can bully you in the paint, can facilitate the ball, and is not too selfish with it. And that’s what we need because imagine having him and Zion rotating into the paint and doing that. Who who you going to go then? If you go to Zion and you’re focusing all your people to Zion, well, he can kick it out. Memories queens right there can easily, you know, do whatever he wants with it. And he shares the ball. Fears on the other hand, too. He ain’t he ain’t scared to pull it from deep. He ain’t scared to pass it. He ain’t scared to play deep. I like I like fears a lot, too. So, like I don’t think giving that extra pickup for next year is that bad like some people think it is just because I think DeQ Queen is going to be that special player for us and he’s going to be that special big guy that we really need. Cuz don’t don’t get me wrong, Missy is really good. I like him. The only difference is he’s just not a scorer scorer like a shooter. He’s just more of a rebounding guy, block you in a paint and dunk on you kind of guy. So, we needed a guy that can get rebounds and all that. He can do that. But what about Derek Queen, right? Because DeQ in his first game, right, game one over here against the Timberwolves, 13 points, 10 rebounds. You know, he’s out okay. Like he said, he wish he could have side a little bit better overall, but it’s just his first game, you know, um, as a Pelicans, a summer league. And you sure how bad Coopa Flag looked in his first game against Bonnie James and him five for 21, you know, so everybody’s, you know, just testing it out. It’s their first time in NBA. And this ain’t against true NBA stores yet. They just getting their feet wet. So what did you think um of De Queens, you know, first, you know, summer game against the Timberwolves. So against the Timberwolves, I mean, both the rookies kind of, you can see there’s going to be some growing pains, but I thought they both played fairly well. The one thing there at Queen is I would like him to like, you know, run up and down the court a lot more than he was doing. But uh I liked what I saw from him. I like what I saw from him. I think Derek Queen is going to be a great pick and I know a lot of people are that uh I know a lot of people are talking about how much we gave up for him, but in the end I think Joe Dumar might uh look like a genius in the end because going into the draft I was really high on their queen. I was hearing he could have uh been the pick at pick seven like over Jeremiah Fear. So, but uh I think his his roof I I do roof ceiling and floor. I think that’s uh the best way to do it. And I truly believe his his roof is Demarcus Cousins. And I do believe his his ceiling could be Nas Reed and his floor could be a Boris DI type of player. But when he was at Maryland, you I heard a whole bunch of things like they had some of his players. cuz I think Angel Reese cuz her brother played for Maryland this past year and she was at a lot of the games saying that he’s baby Joic. So I’m like if he wants to be Nola Joic then we have him. And he he didn’t showcase a lot of his passing prowess in the first game against the Timberwoods. But you know I like what I’ve seen from Derek Queen so far in the summer league. I mean I love them in college. So if Joe Dumar has had that much of uh trouble picking another fears and queen at seven that goes to show me that he was very high on their board and yeah he was oh for sure and then you go to game two right for him call points 13 rebounds so he’s getting the rebounds for you he’s scoring plus this doesn’t even add the assist that he has too and I’m not going to lie to you he got them players on the first game where he went look he was going up for the layup cuz he is usually the guy that facilitated and he just did a behind the back pass, you know, like to get it right to the center and the dude dunked it. It was the dude that went undrafted that um signed with us that’s supposedly really good as well. I got his name the white center that would came in and um where did he come from? Dickersonson. That’s his name right there. Dickinson. He came out and he just did the little everybody thought he was going to go up with it and he just facilitated the bad dude. It was it was beautiful. So that’s what I really like about this dude. He’s average in a double dub already and like I said he is a really good facilitator/scorer and we don’t have that as a big guy. The only person we got that can score at the paint and facilitate is one and only Zion. But once he’s off the court, what do you have that can drive to the goal and facilitate like that? We didn’t really have nobody. So I think with the roster that we building, we’re going to be pretty straight. but without Deontay Murray for a little bit with his injury and he’s healing back. They went and got a guy by the name of Jeremiah Fears. Man, so game one against the Timberwolves, 14 points, two assists, struggled a little bit, but he he was getting rebounds and stuff as well. You know, that’s not in here as well. I just did the points and assists for him. What do you think of a guy like Jeremiah Fierce? I he is young and the crazy thing is he probably would have been just graduating from high school. just recently because he started college early, very young. So, he’s about to be turning 19 very soon. And if you could develop him because a lot of people going into the draft was hearing that he had some of the best handles they’ve seen since Kyrie Irving and they was kind of comparing him to a Kyrie Irving type of player, which if Jeremiah Fierce turns into another Kyrie Irving, then I think we’re set. And he is a very aggressive player. He loves going downhill and no matter how many times he misses, it doesn’t like, you know, dwindle his confidence down at all. Now, game one against the the Timberwolves, he was playing very, very well. And I think the sky is the limit for Jeremiah Fears and I really very happy that we drafted him. Now, going into the draft, there was like a few names I was told about the on on the board and Jeremiah Fears. I mean, they of course liked Ace Bailey, but I’m was not too high on Ace Bailey. So, I was fairly kind of happy that, well, not happy that Utah took him because I’m not really a Utah fan, but you know, Ace Bailey, Jeremiah Fears, Derek Queen, that was the top three names on their board. So, they got two out of the three players that they wanted that was at the top of their board. They trade up to get Derek Queen, of course. So I think Jeremiah fears I mean first game against the Timber Wolves he looked really really good. The one thing he’s got to work on I mean you got to be able to share the ball and in game two against the Lakers the whole team in general six total assists against the Lakers uh yesterday. You compare it to I think almost 30 that the Lakers had. That goes to show you how much ball movement really does matter. And and they beat us too. That’s the crazy part. They Yeah, they they beat us. We There was multiple times where the Pelicans tied it up or could have taken a lead and they just didn’t. Now, be it that as a man, I know it’s summer league, but still like the win. So, I think, you know, the future is really bright for these two. And I also I can’t forget about Michael Peavey, the second round pick who played very well in the uh first game against the Timberwolves. I think the the three picks that we got there is going to set us up really well. Well, Mike Peave is kind of like a Herb Jones kind of player, but also kind of like, you know, Jada McDaniels, kind of Kyle Anderson type of player, but he’s fast. He He’ll do the dirty work for you. So, I really like all three of the players and I think Jeremiah F, he’s the point guard of the future and with Dejonte out, I I would not doubt if Willie Green starts him and he gets a lot of minutes and I think he’s going to develop really fast. Oh, for sure. I mean, I guess to ask you a question about this. So fears and queen has definitely like a bright feature and I can’t remember if I was talking to you or somebody about fears and I was asking people what do y’all think it might have been you that compared them to a Russell rest book. Yes. So there was a lot of comps coming out the draft and the one comp they kept coming back to me because I kept asking people what was their comp form because I said I can’t find one. I mean because of he’s just such a a great player. Everyone kept saying he’s like another Russell Westbrook. He’s got the handles of Kyrie Irving. I’m like, okay, if he can be Russell Westbrook, but you know, Kyrie Irving handles and Kyrie Irving shooting ability, then I’m okay with that because Russell Westbrook in his prime really great downhill scorer. Kyrie Irving, he’s Kyrie Irving, one of the best top 10 point guards of all time in my opinion. So, I really am high on Jeremiah Ferris and Derek Queen at that, too. Oh, for sure. So, just imagine just imagine this. By the way, my boy Zach’s on here as well. He’s down low. Shout out to you, Zach. We’re just talking about some Pelicans and some sinks today. But, um, we’re doing well, man. Wish you was here with us, you know. Live live, you know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. A drive. No way. No way. But um just to finish this up, I think Fierce and Queens, just imagine if Fierce turns into a prom Irvin/ Westbrook and then imagine if Queen turns out to be Yus like some people would say. I mean, imagine if that happens. That would be a great scenario for us to have. Plus, you’ll have a Zion. Hopefully Zion finally plays healthy all season. Please Lord. Um just like the Saints, we need a bunch of um healthy players. That would be really good. But I mean to be honest with you though, I like Fierce. I like Queen. I even like the other guy. I got I forgot his last name. Um the second round pick guy. Michael Peavey out of uh Yeah. of the school of skates at the moment. But yeah, Michael Peavey. I like him. He don’t He’s not afraid to play defense. No, he’s not He’s like a Hobie Jones 2.0 kind of guy. Just wants to play defense. I don’t care. I want to play defense. I like that. We need somebody like that cuz Herb can’t be the only guy playing defense. Exactly. I agree. Oh, and Missy, my bad. And Missy’s a defensive player, too. We can’t just have the stem too. But um Zack, man, since you joined us, man, what are your thoughts so far at the two summer game leads of um Jeremiah Fierce and Derek Queen so far? Uh yeah, I mean, I didn’t I didn’t get to catch the games. I just saw a couple highlights and such. I mean, I saw some exciting things out of Fierce. Uh you know, he definitely a bit shifty, which uh you know, something that we need. Uh I’m still a little confused of what direction we’re taking as a Pelicans. I mean, I I do appreciate the new GM coming in and just making a bunch of risky moves just to start off his time there. So, you know, he obviously believes in what he’s doing. And, you know, I like that. Don’t come in and try to just uh be complacent and just try to be mistakeless and go out and uh, you know, really try to try to figure out the best way to put it, but just being more timid. He’s coming out aggressive, making moves, making trades, and trying to build a team that he thinks can win us games. So, we’ll see how it all plays out. Oh, for sure, man. I mean, the one thing I do like about the new GM is just like you said, he just ain’t scared to come out here and do something, you know? Like, it just seems like every year, oh, the Pelicans are in the run to get this guy, he’s in a run to get this guy, and we just sit here and just stay with the same team, same players, you know, it seemed like we wasn’t doing nothing. So to actually bring in somebody and like just, you know, shout out to McCullum, you know, you know, basically taking in the city and, you know, becoming a big fan to everybody. Um, we do appreciate him for that, but you know, he was getting older, you know, um, he’s getting towards that retirement years. So to replace him with a young player like P who’s basically identical to a McCullum, just a younger version. I mean, I think that’s a smart move. So, you’re bringing in a guy that can shoot what about 30 something% normally probably from the three-point line. Um, you’re going to pair him eventually with a guy like Deontay Murray who ain’t afraid to facilitate the ball. That’s what he really wanted to be, but when he was playing with the Hawks, he couldn’t had to be the second guy, you know, having to let um Trey Young, you know, take care of the ball and all that. So, once Murray comes back, I mean, we’re going to have us a pretty good lineup rotation. You know, let’s say it’s Murray, Pool, Herb, Trey, and Zion or something like that or whatever the heck you want to do cuz there’s no way you just made that been big extension with Herb and not start. There’s no damn way. So, does Pool come off the bench, you know, if Murray’s healthy and all that? That’s the real question. So, I guess to ask Zack first and then you can, you know, follow off as Zach, what do y’all think the lineup’s going to be when healthy? you know, when we got a healthy squad, Devonte Murray’s there and everybody, what are your starting five and who you want, you know, rotational with him? I we’re just we’re in such a tough spot where I’m just waiting for Trey Murphy to become a true starter and I just feel like we’re still not there. I feel like he keeps getting the short end of the stick with things. Uh, you’re definitely going to start Herb. You’re definitely going to start uh Deonte. I can’t imagine. I’m personally not the biggest fan of Pool, so I you know I I don’t know I’m cool with him coming off the bench. I don’t know about him being in a starting role. I know he played a lot better last year with the uh the Wizards. You know, he’s matured a little bit and stuff like that, but he just to me he has a very sloppy way of playing basketball and I don’t feel like it benefits the people around him uh whenever he’s playing his best. Uh then, you know, obviously Zion, you bring in BC and then uh outside of that, I don’t know. Like I’d like to see a place where Trey could fit in, but I just don’t know if Trey can play that small forward or not. I’m not sure. What do you think, Logan? So for me, if it was me, well, first of all, I mean, I might catch flack for this, but at this point, I would trade the Jonte Murray or or try to find a way to trade DeJonte Murray away because that one creates more cap flexibility and you also get to play, you know, you know, Jordan Pool at the point guard spot or even Jeremiah Fear, who you just drafted to be your point guard of the future. I would love to see Trey Murphy at the the shooting guard spot, then get crazy and put Zion at the small forward spot, like in the LeBron role, and then put Herb at the power forward spot, kind of in that Draymond Green role because him and Draymond are the same height. And then you would start Missy at your center position. And then if you wanted to interchange that and sub in Derek Queen in the small ball lineups, then that’s what I would do personally cuz I think Trey Murphy would work really, really well as a shooting guard cuz he’s tall, too. Definitely got that tall. Yeah. Yeah. He’s kind of he kind of has that Klay Thompson feel to him because if you think about Willie Green comes from the Steve Kerr and Monty Williams coach injury, he won with the Golden State Warriors under Steve Kerr. So, a lot of the player like when he drafted Trey and Herb, the comps coming out of college, Trey’s comps were Klay Thompson and I believe Michael Red coming out of college. Herb Jones comps were, I believe, Stacy Augman and Draymond Green. That just I I’d love Herb Jones. I mean, I think Herb could play the power forward position. I really do. And I think Trey can play the shooting guard position, too. I mean, I would The only thing I would disagree is just Murray. I do like Murray just because he’s one of those point guards that can facilitate for us, but also loves to play defense really well, and he’s also a shooter. Like, he’s a all-around point guard that I like. I wouldn’t trade him um just because I loved it last year when we seen him and her both at the top of the key just locking down everything up top. That’s what I really liked. But when everybody got hurt, you know, everything was just kind of switching around. We was playing what 100,000 different lineups last year. It was um I don’t know the most history probably. The tough thing is just Deonte’s contract is just horrible in the sense of how much we’re actually going to get out of him because of him recovering with the Achilles injury and all that. Um it it was so funny how people’s uh minds had switched uh just over the course of uh you know this season from when he was playing to after he got hurt to now to where they’re like yeah but he really didn’t he really didn’t fit fit the team and I’m like what I I guess we weren’t watching the same game of basketball. Uh I was like I thought if anything uh he elevated the team to a level that I saw us possibly being competitive with and uh I would love to find a way to keep the Jante. I don’t know what they’ll do. Like I said, the contract is just ugly. Uh I don’t know where we could find a team to be able to try and eat the contract that that we have for him right now. So, we, you know, end up getting hit in the butt with it regardless. But I don’t know. I I’d love to see a full season with De Jante back there. Oh, for sure. If he’s healthy, you know, I think but I mean to to me, I just don’t know what my lineup would be. I’m just so confused cuz there’s so many players that can start for you, you know, pool. Um, I think he is a starting, you know, shooting guard. I don’t know about point guard, you know, facilitator, but, you know, spot up and shoot. Yes, I can do that all day. But like Trey Murphy, man, when he gets his minutes, he’s doing his thing. Um, Herb Jones, he’s going to do his thing out there. Zion when he healthy, you know, he’s going to do his thing. Missy is forming into a really good center. You know, adding more weight this summer to, you know, stay in the paint a little bit stronger with all these centers that are way bigger than him. Um, there’s so many different things that I want. So like if I had to pick a starting lineup, it would be Murray, Trey, or Herb at shooting guard, either one. And then whoever is that shooting guard, the other one will play small for, you know, just kind of swap those two. And then I would do um probably Zion and Missy. And then off the bench, you know, the rotate to help out like to give Missy a brever. I’ll put in Derek Queen to play in with Zion a little bit. I want to see what a Zion and Derek Queen would do with those two offensive guys. Um, and then Figures, you know, helps out, you know, rotates out for Murray. And then, um, what was his name? The I keep forgetting his name. The second round pick guy. Michael Peavey. Michael Peavey. I think he’ll be the guy to help replace Herb when he’s off the court for you can have his defense. Um, those would be kind of like my players. But I heard a lot of people, they were like, “Oh yeah, you can trade Hawkins.” And I think Hawkins going to turn into a Trey Murphy, you know, just a three-point guy, not dunking on people, but he’s going to be turn into that shooting form that we know he can. He just needs um a year or so. I say give him about a year or so. And I think he’s going to turn into that Tre Murphy three-point shooter. And then once you get all your shooters around, just do what we wanted to do all along. Let Zion facilitate to the top of the key. Everybody else waiting outside and just let him facilitate and kill everybody in the paint. And if they want to keep messing with him, you know, and they want to close out on him, he can pass it out. Three-pointer, free threepointer holiday all day. That’s what we’ve been wanting forever, but we can’t never do because why? Zion’s always hurt, so we can’t do what we want. The the the issue is I mean, one like like I’m seeing with Swaga season over there on a put Zion a shooting forward. I mean, to be honest, it really doesn’t matter as much nowadays as it did, you know, 10 15 years ago. It’s positionless basketball for the most part. You pick your marks and then you you play with it. The biggest thing is figuring out what the lineups are. It’s the one, as much I like Willie Green as a motivator and uh you know what he’s been able to do with a lot of these young players, uh where he really lacks is his ability to set lineups and uh really create uh you know a team like a set group of starters that we want to work with that we’re going to develop a direction that of style of basketball that we’re going to play. Uh, you know, for the most part, I think I’ve only seen a handful of games at a time where I was like, “Okay, I think this is what Pelicans basketball is supposed to be.” And then all the other times it’s, “Okay, we’re playing the other team, the opposition’s style of ball, and we’re just hoping we can come out on top.” Like, we really got to find what is New Orleans basketball, what what type of basketball are we going to play? How are we going to run through uh who are we going to run through? What options are we going to have? Getting a little bit more creative play calling. Um, and and that’s where I feel like Willie Green falls up short. I was really hoping the rumors were going to be true with him possibly taking a uh a higher up position, then bringing in another head coach. Uh, cuz I’d love to see it with the organization, but I feel like Willie, it’s uh unfortunately just I just don’t know how it works for him as a head coach. I mean, I I think it’s not too far off to say that we have the lowest IQ basketball team right now in the NBA. And Willy’s contract is up after this year. So, I don’t know if they’re going to renew it, but if they don’t, then I have my eyes on a few a few guys that I like. Be a throwing a lot of hell Marys, but you know, this is make or break year for Willie Green. Definitely. Yeah, for sure. For sure. My boy Tally, I see Faga season from Twitter commented the lineup should be P, Murphy, Zion, Queen, and Missy. What do you think of that lineup? I wouldn’t start Queen right away. I would have Queen come off the bench as a rotational piece for now. But I’m not having Herb come off the bench because you’re that’s your first team all that’s he’s first team all NBA defense. He’s not going to do that coming off the bench. He’s your starter. And I would like I would start Herb no matter what at whether it’s a small forward, power forward, shooting guard, wherever. Herb’s not coming off the bench. Especially not after what you just paid him. Oh, for sure. Especially with the what, three more years? Did he sound like two more years? It was threeyear contract extension. I’m happy because that puts the rest all the trade rumors. So, shout out Joe Dumar for putting to bed all those trade rumors because there was a lot of rumors out there that the Warriors was really wanting uh Herb Jones and that just was not happening. He said corrections poo Murphy on Herb Missy. There we go. That works for me. What up, Jerry? Your mic’s muted. What’s going on? Nothing much, Jerry, man. How you been? Doing pretty good. Come on here and tell us what you think, man, about the Saints and the Pelican stuff we talked about so far. Well, on the Saints side, I’m I’m I’m ready. Mhm. We’re ready, baby. I’m ready. Uniforms. Can can’t can you can can you believe we’re five weeks away from the Saints first preseason game? Five weeks away. That’s a month and a week away. That’s crazy. Yes, it is. What up, Zach? What up, OG? How we doing? What’s all you? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. So, Jerry, what you think on Monday? I want to ask you what you thought about the new um helmets and the uniforms we have. Oh man, I love it. Mhm. And it and it fits perfectly with the color uh uniform. I didn’t I didn’t care too much about the black ones, but the but when they came out with the white ones for that for that uh color uh uniform, perfect 10. 10 out of 10, bro. 100%. A+ Mhm. Mhm. I love it. I love it, too, man. Yep. I I I just can’t I just can’t wait, bro. I know. I know you can’t I can’t I know you can’t wait. I know Logan can’t wait. And I know Zack can’t wait. I can’t wait. Hey, you know what I’m ready for? This is what I’m ready for. I’m ready to play this. Hey hoodie 6 plus one for everybody at your seat. It’s about to be a black and gold touchdown. It’s a black and gold touchdown. Come on, man. Who’s ready to get pumped up for a damn touchdown? Are you ready for this? or who’s ready for that? Uh, you must have a lot of those in your arsenal because I never seen that one before. I don’t think you ever been on here when we did a live, you know, a live watch party. That’s why you experiencing that. You’re getting the first taste of it, bro. Oh, but yeah. Um, forgot to ask you, Jerry, what was your starts on the Pelicans? You know, like the new players like Jeremiah Fears and Derek Queen, you know, what you think of them so far? I mean, well, well, you know, I don’t do a whole lot of I play a guitar, but with these two guys you just mentioned, I mean, I mean, they were good picks. I mean, I don’t get too I don’t get too comfortable and all all hyped up about the summer league. I I understand you got young players that want to learn, but um I mean I think they go I think they’re going to be all right. You just got to, you know, just got to play play along play around with them. Yep. Yeah. So, so Zach, I never did get to ask you earlier because we was basically, you know, on the topic of um Pelicans. So, Elliot was talking about the new Saints uniforms and we was talking about, you know, QB battle um going into training camp and with all the rumors and the news going around. It just sounds like it’s Tyler Suck’s job to lose, you know. So, what are you thinking um about this training camp and what are you thinking about possibly going into the season with a guy named Tyler Sucks at QB1? I mean, I said it from the beginning, man. I I feel like Tyler Shuck has some really good uh unique abilities that we can use, man. I I think he has all the all the characteristics that you’d want of a uh potential franchise quarterback, you know, although is a little bit older. I’m not I don’t have the high concerns with the injuries like everybody else does uh for the reasons that we’ve all talked about since he’s been drafted. Um I think he’s going to I’m hoping that he’s going to surprise a lot of people. I hope he’ll prove me right. I mean, at the end of the day, it’s black and gold. So, whoever’s whoever’s starting, I’m rooting for him. I’m cheering for him and I’m hoping they play well. Um, but but I’m excited to see I mean, it’s really we’re going to get a closer view come, you know, with training camp coming out soon or starting up soon with preseason coming up soon. You know, you know, give it a couple weeks into the regular season and see and see what happens. And, you know, we’ll see what we have. We’ll see if we have a answer or not. For sure. I agree with that. I agree with Zach. What about you, Logan? What do you think? Um, tell Zach, what was the dude’s name from ESPN that said we were going two and 15? Oh, that was uh Adam Rank from NFL Network. He also had uh the Bucks only winning like seven games. Like I I don’t I don’t I don’t know what he’s talking about. Let me let me let me interject on that. Whoever said the Saint two wins and 15 losses have really completely lost their mind. I I was going to throw that in there right there. I agree with everything. What’s his name again? I tell you what, Adam. You know what Adam can do? What? This is for him. Down. You do all that all you want. Undertaker, you come on down. Die die. Shut up, [ __ ] Oh my god. That’s that’s towards him and anybody that thinks we’re going to go two and 15 funny. Okay. I mean, if we go with two and 15, as long as those two wins are against them dirty birds, I’m all right. Hey, hey, I I I don’t have no issue with that. As long as we beat your fails twice, I’m good. But but I’ll tell you this. Now, if you want to reverse that, if you want to go two losses and 15 wins, I’m good. I’m good. If that that that includes the two that we beat when we beat the Falcons. Oh my I’m just ready, man. I’m ready for some Saints football. Uh yeah, man. We been Yeah, it we’ve been suffering long enough, bro. I mean, I know we talk about it every week and every month and all that, but I’m ready. I’m ready to see I’m ready to see the smell of green grass. I’m ready to see players go up and down the field losing their I see I’m ready for the crowd to go crazy. That’s the that’s that’s the beauty of of of of foot of football. You It’s like It’s like Christmas, bro. You can’t wait till the whether it’s the NFL, whether it’s college, whe when it’s when it’s football season, everybody’s locked in. Everybody locked in. Mhm. Tyler, as he said, I had the Saints going seven and 10 or eight and nine. Yeah. So, basically that’s my uh Yeah, didn’t mean to interrupt, but yeah, that’s basically my roof and my ceiling. My floor is 6 and 11. I don’t know. Go ahead. Go ahead. I mean, I was I was looking at around six to seven wins, man. I think anything around there gives you a potential for the future. Anything less, it’s uh it’s a coin flip of what what you actually see out on the field. I mean, you know, even even last year, uh you know, our record, I think, was better than how we played. Even the games that we won weren’t very good. So, it’s like I want to see, you know, games be close. I want to see what our style of football is going to look like. You know, there’s a lot more than wins and losses. I would be looking at, not to sound like Vicky Lumis, wins obviously matter, but there is a lot to there is a lot to look at, especially building uh our future with uh you know, young players in star positions. What about you, Jerry? What you thinking? Well, uh, hooded, I’m not a big, uh, predictions mastermind, but if I give you my good prediction, they’re talking about Saints might go five, six, or seven wins. Get I I tell you what, my prediction, give me between eight to 10 wins for the Saints. Okay, eight to 10. just, you know, just, you know, just to see how that just to see how this team, this new little Saints team look, you know, with Kell Moore as the new coach and, you know, you got new newer players, newer coaching staff. Just give me just give me eight to 10 wins just for right now. Just for right now. I remember watching somebody, I can’t remember if it was NFL Network or something like that where they were ranking NFL quarterbacks and they didn’t even have the Saints quarterback on the quarterback ranking list. They had us, they said 32 last where whoever starts. They said they didn’t even have us like on the bottom tier and all that. They even had people who hasn’t even played a game in NFL yet like Ham Ward and all them saying not enough video, you know, not enough, you know, film the side yet. same thing as Michael Pennix, but they didn’t even put special rattle or Tyler and stuff on that list because you haven’t even seen them play yet. They just like, “Oh, who they going to be last? They’re going to be the first quarterback in the NFL.” Like, that’s how bad they think the Saints are going to be. That’s uh that’s what they think. That’s what they think. See, that’s that’s that’s that’s a sign right there, uh, Hoodie, why people still doubting us. And you know what? I like being the underdog. That that’s that’s the beauty of that. We don’t have to be no favors. I I don’t care. I don’t care what you where you rank us. When the Saints go out there, put their ass out there to work, I promise you they they we don’t even need they praise. We got this. We got this. The who that nation, we got this. We don’t want no difference for them. We got this. We got this. We got this, y’all. And you know what? I mean, I said this earlier. Go ahead. I was saying I said this earlier with Logan. I don’t think Zach was in here earlier when I was talking about all this. I feel like Helen Moore is going to be that Shawn Payeyton kind of guy that’s just going to come in, be that offensive minded guy that we need and, you know, can be the quarterback guru. um nobody does with the um quarterbacks. And I feel like he could possibly be a 2006 season where we just come in and we just changed it. You know, everybody was underestimated us because of the hurricane. Everybody thought nothing was going to happen and we w up winning what 10 11 games and went all the way to the NFC Championship. I can I can I can feel some type of and feel like us everybody saying we’re going to get two wins and then we just go randomly, you know, make it enough to where we win the division, make it to the playoffs, and we might maybe let’s say we lose in the first round. That’s fine. At least we made it to the playoffs with a team that everybody thought was going to get two wins. You know, that’s what I want to look I want I want everybody to underestimate us because um Zack, Jerry, and Logan, y’all all know this. When a team, the medias, and all them underestimates us and they put it on there, what happens every time? We always dominate. Remember everybody was like, “Oh, even with Drew Brees at quarterback, they were still saying we’re about to get smashed by the Bucks.” But who happened? We wind up beating them. Why? Because they were talking too much [ __ ] on them to be the one to prove him wrong. I am so glad you said that, huh? Because you and if you remember, Logan probably remember this and you probably remember this and Zach probably remember this and the people in the chat probably remember this as well. Remember Sunday Night Football a few years back? Everybody and their mama and their daddy picked the bucks to beat the Saints. But who was the only one that picked the Saints to beat the Bucks? It was who was the only that that’s it. And what happened in that and what happened in that game hoodie? We won. We won nine to nothing, wasn’t it? Nine to nothing. It was It was No, it was like uh No, I think it was uh it was 38-3 if I remember. I know. I remember the nine to nothing game we that was that was defense but 38-3 I think that was the one that when Drew Brees was playing 38 to I don’t remember and then Jame James came in there and did did a little little uh W remember that was Drew was playing and that was uh yeah I remember that Drew was getting sacked and Terron Arms they picked him up as he was throwing the ball Yeah. Yes. Yes. That’s the one. That’s the one that was 38 for three. I think that let you know that tells you right there, fellas. Everybody love to doubt us and overlook us like we’re nothing. But when the Saints go out there and give it their best and give it their all. Enough said. Enough said. Yep. But um the only thing I’m ready for, I’m just ready to see. some training camps, you know, cuz I’m ready to see who’s going to step up in training camp, you know, are they going to be neck and neck with one of another? Because like um Logan said earlier, it would be so good if we can have a 1 A and a one B at quarterback, not just a one and a two. If we can have a 1 A, one B, that would be the best scenario cuz like he said, if Sucks unfortunately gets hurt again like he did in college, at least RER, you good with him cuz you know he’s a 1B. You know, that’s what I’m hoping happens with the quarterback situation, but like Logan said, this is the first time since I don’t know what you said, 2000 something. Yeah. 2000 since we had a young quarterback room. You know, it’s always been older quarterbacks and all that. So, I’m just ready to see what they do. Um, ready to hear about who we keep on the roster running back wise because there’s so many running backs that we got questions about. like will they keep Kevin um I said Kevin Kendre Miller will they keep um what’s his name Clyde will they keep um yawn you know or is Dean Neil going to make the rush or because remember he was a a sneaky pick to get that late in the draft um who’s some other ones I’m thinking of I’m missing somebody Clyde Kre yarn cuz AK’s already won them all Okay. Oh, and Cam Makers. Cam Makers. So, I’m ready to see who who’s going to make the roster. How many we’re going to keep? What you think? Three, four. Now, heard it. Heard it. I I I want I want I want to speak on that right there about Cam Acres because uh and shout out shout out to TJ Jones because I think he did a he say he did a uh he did like a film study or like a study on this guy cuz he went cuz he played high school football up in I think he say up in Clinton somewhere not not too far from Jackson. So he so so he’s familiar with Cam Acres when he was in high school. Mhm. Yep. Logan’s not a fan of him though. I just said I would prefer to keep Clyde someone like Clyde over Cam. No, was it Clint? I don’t know if it was Clint. I don’t know if it was Clint or or Richland. Either either one. It’s up in the Jackson area and the Jackson Mississippi area. Oh, but guys, Jack’s not a fan of a meter. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I’m good on Acres, man. Zack like Acres sucks. I don’t even need to explain it. You just see my eyes, bro. I’m good. But but but fellas, can we all agree on one thing this season? One thing, and I you probably hear me say this most most times, hoodie, the main thing for this Saints team to stay focused and and start winning games and everything goes on all well placed is being healthy. Is being healthy. That’s the That’s the one That’s the one small thing that the Saints need to do. Stay healthy. stay healthy, man. You know, in order to get to where we need to get, we health is the main concern. Cuz if you look at last year, look at that list of of injuries that we had. I’m talking about from the top to the bottom, it didn’t look good at all. So, I want I want that my main thing this season and for everybody is healthy. Is being healthy. No, no injuries, no nothing. That’s what all young might and I know I know football, man. Injuries, but it’s just just man so many. I I understand I I understand football is a contact sport. I get it. I’ve been hearing that for years. But health is most important is more important. You got you got got guys got guys got guys got guys got guys got guys got guys got guys got guys got guys got gota stay healthy make sure nothing don’t happen out there because it is a contact sport and everybody just got to be on their P’s and Q’s to stay on that track. That’s all I’m That’s all I’m saying. Oh for sure. We just need to stay healthy and if anybody does get injured hopefully it ain’t nothing severe like season ending injury like um a lot of his concussion was so bad like he’s he’s you know season ending injury but let’s hope it’s not like that if they get injured hopefully it’s just a one game injury or something like that and they can come back you know if we start losing people for the season again that’s when you start the panic you’re like oh [ __ ] my starters are going like last year you didn’t have your your first starting number one or number two receiver You didn’t have your starting center last year. You lost your starting guards sometimes, you know. You start you lost your um I think we lost our tight end for a little bit. You lost some defensive players for a little bit. Like you was losing everything and it was just downhill, you know, and we don’t need injuries. We just need everyone to stay healthy as possible and whoever they decide to go with at quarterback. Um just make sure you’re ready and make sure you don’t get hurt. But if you do get hurt, whoever is QB number two, please be ready. That’s all I ask. That’s it. That’s all we asking for. That’s all we asking for, man. That’s all we asking for, bro. But want to ask you, is there anything else y’all want to cover before we head out of here? Y’all covered a lot, man. Glad to come join in for a little bit, man. I was working on a couple different things when uh when I saw you were live. I saw you I saw your phone call earlier, but I missed it by like an hour. So, I was just like, “Oh, I’m sure he’s already live streaming.” And then I saw my notification. I was like, “Oh, shoot. I could have called him back, but oh well. How dare you? I know. I’m It’s okay. It’s all right. You here now. So you So I And I said to Chad, I say cuz I like I said, I not too long ago got home from from church. We had our youth youth day program at the church. So we were not too long ago wrapped up with that. So I said when I get home, I’ll go ahead and call in and give my thoughts on the Saints and the uh and the Pelicans. Yeah. Church, baby. I heard you. Yep. That’s where me and Logan went today. Me and Logan went to the church. Definitely a good match. Definitely good matches. But um I say I’ll say this is probably going to be one of my favorite chapters, you know, that he’s talking about. It’s called imperfect. How God takes those who are imperfect people and can change those people’s lives around to show people that no matter what, he can make you from an imperfect to a perfect person. you know, and he can use that imperfect person to priest him. Like, that’s what I’m really excited about to hear. So, um, man, but with that being said, y’all, um, I appreciate everybody that tuned on in today, whether you was on Twitter or YouTube. Um, also make sure you hit the like button on the way out, hit the subscribe button if you are new to the channel as well, or hit the follow button if you’re on Twitter, make sure you do that as well. Um, also, we’re going to end with a prayer like we always do. So, um, let’s make a little quick prayer real quick, y’all. All right. Amen. So, everybody can bow their heads if y’all want, close your eyes if you want. Lord, we just want to thank you for today. Thank you for letting us all wake up and live another day. That ass you got a purpose for us and we get to live that purpose for you every single day. Lord, we’re just so grateful for everything you give us, Lord. You give us our jobs. You give us our cars to use. You know, you give us phones to use as well. You give us a house to live in, a bed to sleep in, clothes and shoes to wear, food and drink as well to survive. We’re just so grateful, Lord, for everything you do, Lord. Also, we want to thank you for the amazing people that you surround us with. Thank you for this amazing YouTube channel. Thank you for the who that nation for always being here together. Uh no matter if we’ve been gone for a while or we, you know, always love, they always here to support us and it’s just like an amazing family to be around. Lord, we’re so grateful for that. Also, if you don’t mind putting your hand over those who need your help, Lord, whether they need you financially, mentally, physically, spiritually, whatever the case may be, Lord, just put your hand over those people, guide them in the right path, and showing that they got a brighter future ahead of them, Lord. But um and also if you don’t mind just keeping everybody safe for us and you know anybody that you know that’s really in your need and you know maybe just not guided in the right path right now you know just help us you know guide them to us and we can help them you know guide them straight to you Lord and you know preach you as long as we need to um to get them back on track. But with that being said Lord we love you. Thank you for everything and we’re so grateful in Jesus name. Amen. In Jesus name. Amen. Yes sir. Amen. All right. Amen, y’all. So, with that being said, thank y’all for coming on. Um, we’ll be back live again sooner or later. You know, we’re going to pick another day to talk. Hopefully, training camp starts very soon since we’re about what, a month and a week away from five weeks. Five weeks, you said five weeks from preseason. So, we got some training camp coming up for sure then. So, we’re going to be able to see what’s happening. But, shout out to y’all. Starts next week. Next week. Oh, yeah. Next week, baby. But shout out to y’all. And always tell everybody who what who that baby who that baby and amen when we out of here. Say what they li say. Say say what they live. We screaming black and gold. We dreaming black and gold. We screaming black and gold. We going to the screaming black and gold. We screaming black and gold. We screaming black and gold and gold.
