If anyone forgot, Michael Porter Jr. in a 2032 first round pick was traded to the Brooklyn Nets for Cam Johnson. And Michael Porter Jr. gave us a little insight into how he found out about the trade. And I thought it was funny, but it’s also a great mindset. Here’s what he had to say. Like probably pretty quick. Um, I kind of kind of flipped the script in my head pretty quick, honestly. I I wasn’t like a super I’m not like a super like anxious guy or anything like that. was on a plane when I found out. I kind of just was like, “Well, I’m traded and kind of just took a nap afterwards.” So, I it I’m excited to be here, though. You know, I love Denver. I love my time there. Um, but I’m excited for this new chapter. What’s the conversation’s been like? Obviously, I think you with Jordy, what maybe your first four years? First four years, right? So, what’s that conversation’s been like? Yeah, it’s been great. I’m excited to be uh back with Jordan. you know, I know he got has these guys playing hard and um you know, he he’s implemented a lot of similar things from Denver. So, I don’t feel like it’s a huge shift from some of some of the things I’m familiar with. So, I kind of saw that in practice today a little bit and u I think it’ll be an easy transition for me with the principles and um yeah, he’s a great guy and a great coach. So, it’ll be a great fit. I mean, when you got a good team like that and you got so many guys who who are capable on the floor together, then like there’s going to be guys to sacrifice. AG was a number one option in Orlando and when he came to Denver, he was for a lot of his time there a fourth option, you know? So, that’s the nature of when you’re on a championship team. Um, and that happens throughout the league. But I just think for me, like, you know, I averaged 20 one year. I think last year I was around 18 and seven is the third option. And I just feel like um you know I just feel like I have more in my tank still. I don’t feel like I’ve reached my my peak and I’m excited to just like grow my game, expand my game, and explore my game and see see what I could
