It was reported heavily that there was mutual interest between the Dallas Mavericks and LeBron James, and it it has been absolutely crazy. But LeBron James is a very good player even at the ripe old age of 72. LeBron James can help a team win a championship, but it depends on the price. He did opt into his $50 million player option on his contract. So, the most money that any team can offer him is a $5 million taxpayer mid-level exception. We gave ours to D’Angel Russell. This post came out the other day saying, “I’m in Vegas right now. I just spoke with an agent and something big is happening with the Mavericks. Trade incoming. I believe it’s a three-team deal. The deal is reportedly about to go through. Obviously, reports like this are just engagement farming. There is no three-team deal. There’s no big crazy trade in Dallas.
