Suns Next Move REVEALED…
We’ve got a new update with the Phoenix Suns as the latest reveals their next move from their Suns insiders. Brian Gregory and Matt Ishby are trying to work out the Bradley Bill situation. We get an inkling for what the Suns could be using with that position being lost. And it’s not one of the names that you may think of. So, we’re going to dive in and explore what some potential pieces could be that could be brought in for Jordan Aunt system to really change this direction for the Phoenix Suns and help them at a position that they do need as well. I’ll be getting around to all of this and more on this episode of Sons Digest. I am Bruce Veles and thank you guys so much. I really do appreciate all your guys’ love and support. Like I said, you guys let me know in the comment section all the time when things are going wrong. And unfortunately, somehow when I logged into OBS, there was no audio. And when I went to record, it just did not go through. So, as we all here are back here again as I’m trying to get this video out before the Summer League games really do kick off for the Celtics cuz I do have to watch that as well. I hope you guys do enjoy the content here on the Suns and we can get into all the news revolving around this team here and this episode where the audio is working. So without further ado, thank you guys so much for letting me know that so I can get on it ASAP so I’m not as frustrated as I was would be in an hour or two. Without further ado, let’s get into it and let’s break down the latest news. We got a new update coming from Suns insider John Gamidoro who’s been absolutely fantastic on hitting all the notes revolving around the Phoenix Suns here. Not only just this off seasonason, but in the past offseasons as well. And he has been on fire. And even though he is away in Italy with his family enjoying a nice relaxing vacation, John is still giving us those updates left and right letting us know everything revolving around this Phoenix Suns team. And the latest we saw from John was and Gambo was that the long-awaited Bradley be buyout still is expected to happen. And what he is expecting to be filled in with that buyout replacement is another guard here on the roster. Most likely a point guard because the Suns at this moment only do have one true point guard and Colin Gillespie still under the roster. But it also could be a combo guard as well. And for the reason why that this thing has taken so long as Michael asks Gambo, you said 24 to 48 hours that it would be down. Now it is about a week. What’s the holdup? They can’t agree on a number. And he says Bradley Beal has to pick a team. The belief was that he was on the verge of making a decision three to four days ago when Gambo tweeted that out. But he still continues to weigh his options. And that could help out the Suns in lots of ways. As we all know, the Phoenix Suns can’t buy out Bradley Beal outright with his contract. All due to the fact that they are still paying EJ Liddell and Nazir Little from last year’s buyouts last season. So, with that being the case, the Phoenix Suns can only buy out a portion amount of Bradley Beiel’s contract, and he’s going to want to get that portion of money in free agency. So, the Suns are trying to make sure Bradley Beals finds his team, finds out how long he can be locked up so they can then figure out how much money they ultimately have to buy him out for, which then can make it a little bit easier for them down the road with obviously stretching and waving his contract, having to pay a sum of amount of money that still uncertain to Suns fans at this point going into next season as just deadcap to to pay off the Bradley Beal buyup. Not only just that, the flexibility of Bradley Beal being off this roster not only allows the Suns to go into free agency and still bring in another guard here to kind of fix this rotation helps him out there on the trade market as well as names like Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neal, even Nick Richards have been thrown around here over these last couple of days with some updates. And with those names being revolving around the Suns and potential trades or stuff like that, that could also help out the Phoenix Suns because with them dropping below these aprons and waving Brad the Be’s contract, they then can aggregate salaries. they can take back more money in in deals and it’ll be a little bit easier for things to work out for the Phoenix Suns down the line. So, with that being said though, revolving around all of that, we do know from John Gamoro that they’re most likely targeting a point guardly a combo guard. A lot of people want to throw out the names of two guys, ones that I showed in the intro video, Malcolm Brogden and Chris Paul. Malcolm Brogden obviously being a little bit more both of them being veteran leading point guards. Malcolm Bryan probably more likely to start than a guy in Chris Pavo. But the Suns fans still wanting Deon Booker to play that shooting guard position. They still want that true point guard to really take over those reigns. But I don’t think that’s going to happen. And I don’t think they’re going to be turning their eyes to these guys as well because John Gamduro let us know in the latest update when people are asking and you can scroll down his Twitter and go see these are just some instances. But people have asked about Brad or Chris Paul. People have asked about Malcolm Brogden. He’s saying no. No. And multiple times said no. So, it’s not going to be those guys. And even though fans want the resemblance bringing back Chris Paul, obviously him being my favorite player of all time, I’m not going to hate on him coming back being that mentor for Colin Gillespie, but ultimately or even Malcolm Brogden trying to do that role as well. But with them being a little bit older, them having some injuries and the Suns looking to bring in this new identity, new culture, new wavelength of prioritizing both sides of the ball and being really aggressive on the defensive end. those two names don’t really strike me as those point guards to fit that culture. And that’s where I think it really comes to with the Phoenix Suns in deciding who they are going to bring in. So, let me know your thoughts down below on the uh Chris Paul and Malcolm Brogden news as obviously that’s a little disheartening to hear from John Gamidoro because we all want to see those players play in Phoenix. Maybe maybe not as much Malcolm Brogden, but a lot of people want to see Chris Paul back, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to be the case. So, who could potentially be one of those names that the Suns could go out and pursue? Well, that’s what we’re going to dive in and look at here in the next part when looking at all the available free agents at this point that played in the NBA last year that were a point guard and or shooting guard. And I have it pulled up courtesy of spot track. And like I mentioned, when looking at the point guards first, we can see Malcolm Brogen and Chris Paul being those two guys. Obviously, they’re not going to be toning towards them. So, who are some other names that they could potentially look at? In this list, I have four names that I think the Suns could potentially keep an eye on. One of them being Gary Payton. Second, obviously a defensive combo type guard coming from the Golden State Warriors. A really good onball defender. The reason why the Warriors haven’t made any moves is because they’re still deciding their Jonathan Kaminga situation. And then I think once they finalize what they’re going to do with Kaminga, we’ll have them have their onsu of waves of more moves coming down the line to either fill that void or to potentially, you know, even add on top of that. And that will kind of set up the Warriors for this offseason. And that’s where I think ultimately Gary Payton is going to end up. He obviously has played there most of his career then was went to Portland for free agency was traded back. It does seem like Gary Payeyton will be staying with the Dubs as he’s not only a great culture fit but really represents their identity as a great role player. One though that I would like to keep an eye out though is the veteran Russell Westbrook who declined his team option with the Denver Nuggets. He was he’s a guy that flexed from Jersey who was on my boy on my boys pod Suns worldwide a couple weeks ago stated that has had connections with the Phoenix Suns in the past and I wouldn’t be shocked if they kind of went towards that way. Obviously Westbrook a little bit more of a veteran like Broden CP. So maybe not as much as a guy they would be bought in on, but obviously can be that downhill attacking threat. It’s going to be a good voice in the locker room is going to bring that heart, that hustle, that energy, that that connectiveness that this Phoenix Suns team does want there. The only question is is do they want to buy into a guy like Westbrook or would they rather maybe not go for a guy like that who’s trying to win a championship? Some other names down the list here don’t really make so much sense until you get to Don Wright who also could be an impactful two-way type of guard. but he’s also a solid playmaker. Obviously, not the best offensive player kind of out of this list here of names, but for the Phoenix Suns, they got Devin Booker, they got all these offensive pieces, right? They don’t Jaylen Green, Malawatch, they don’t need that offensive piece really right from the get, especially at this position kind of either splitting minutes with CG or, you know, maybe playing even that tertiary point guard role. So, a guy in Don Wright, I think, could be that for the Suns. We saw for the New York Knicks this past playoffs in the Eastern Conference Finals. hit some big time shots for them. Had some good games from beyond the three-point range as a as a catch and shoot guy. And I think for the the Suns here, that’s a guy you kind of invest in and kind of bring back or kind of look into as that kind of combo piece. Maybe Monte Morris. I don’t know if he wants to come back with how the Suns handled things. And then lastly, when looking at this point guard list, Delano Banton really st screams out to me. 67 playmaker, can long frame, pretty solid defender as well in Portland when he was able to get run, not last season, but the year previous when he was traded from Boston at the trade deadline. He had some good games for the Blazers and maybe as a tertiary point guard kind of fighting for some minutes alongside CG. That could be that kind of replacement that the Suns do look for. When looking back down at this list, it does seem like a lot of these other names do feel like two-way guys like guys like Tai Tai Washington, Bones Highland, maybe some of the lower ladder of the rotation guys. And I don’t necessarily know if that’s what the Suns are going to be moving up from Bradley Beiel to going out and getting. Then when looking at the shooting guard position, maybe air Coffee makes some sense, but doesn’t really scream combo guard. Kind of screams combo wing to three presents all the qualities that I think the Suns would like to have on their team as a defender and as an offball player. But ultimately Amir Coffee in my opinion, I don’t think really fits the mold that Gambo was stating. Continuing to look down this list, some of these names really don’t make sense. A lot of them are uh restricted free agents. So, I don’t see the Suns getting enough money to get Quinton Grimes, get Josh Giddy, get Cam Thomas, but maybe two other names that I like to mention are Tayen Horton Tucker and Lonnie Walker. I’m not the biggest Tayon Horton Tucker fan, but obviously the plays off ball. Pretty much a premier defender. Maybe he’s someone you invest in. Or Lornie Walker, Lonnie Walker, excuse me, someone who had a run with the Celtics at the beginning in the preseason, but then ultimately finished the season with the Sixers after having a stint over in Europe throughout the middle of the season. Never really got to crack the rotation. Never really got to showcase or implement his true skills. obviously more of an offensive type player, kind of not really as comparative to some of the other guys I mentioned that have more defense and kind of playmaking, but a guy in Lonnie Walker, if they were to move off Bradley Be or potentially move off Grayson Allen, could provide that offensive spark that they do like on a veteran minimum that who knows could find himself back into the NBA if he finds himself in a good stride or in a good rotation where he’s able to alienate those weaknesses of those defensive mechanisms or in intricquencies of a guy in Lonnie Walker. I also want to mention a guy named Anthony Melton who I was not on this list that some people have mentioned to me as well. He had some run with the Warriors and the Nets before getting injured. He’s also been linked going back to the Warriors and ultimately I do think once they finish that Jonathan Ka situation like I said they will go and kind of bring back all these free agents they do like and I think Gary Payton I think the Anthony Melton are going to be two of those guys. So ultimately I don’t necessarily know if he’s going to be there but I definitely wanted to mention that as well. I think he’s a little bit of a step above all these other guys. And if you’re the Phoenix Suns, if you’re looking to find that, you know, guaranteed backup point guard, maybe even starter alongside Deon Booker, this is the guy you look for. But like I mentioned, if they’re not looking to win, if they’re looking to kind of reshape this culture, reshape this identity, get into this youth movement, have a lot of guys, you know, playing hard and having players, you know, appreciate their roles, I don’t think a guy in Dante Melton is going to be feel very happy coming to Phoenix, knowing the circumstances with the team is in and ultimately a team of the Warriors, I think is ultimately in a better position than the Suns at this point here with the roster construction to where I think it’s going to present him a better opportunity not only for a championship, but also some playing time and development. So ultimately that’s where I kind of come to with some of those guys, right? Lonnie Walker, Delano Banton, maybe even a guy in uh Russell Westbrook or even uh Dolon Wright. Dolan Wright perfect personally is my kind of perfect fit. I think he kind of fits that lowbudget type of backup point guard that you want someone who can split minutes with Colin Gillespie to ultimately allow him to develop alongside of Don Wright where he’s not taking too much of a development away. But obviously if they need someone to hit a big time shot or if Collins just not playing the best defensively, they can swap in with a guy in Don right who can kind of wake up that new change in this new system. So let me know your thoughts like I mentioned down below in the comment section. Ultimately, thank you guys so much for tuning in and showing your support because if you didn’t drop those comments down like I said, we would have a video with no audio still up here on the channel. Now it’s good
THIS IS HUGE
Jevon Carter is rumored .
Very huge
They should try getting Noka from the Lakers.
Throw a minimum at Ben Simmons 🤷🏻♂️
It's heating up for sure
We wont get either of those point guards. We will end up with another shooting guard
None of these guys are worth buying out Beal for.
How about CP3 as a player coach like Pete Rose or just coach?!? He could be head coach one day.
Welcome to Phx Ben simmons
Bradley Beal not leaving the team eventhough he knows anybody wants him there is just crazy. Take your mony pack your things and move on.
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!!!
Josh Giddey hasn't signed yet – just saying……after the buyout they can participate in Sign and trades ? Westbrook ? Think whoever they going for – maybe someone we haven't even considered !
