How Likely is an Al Horford Signing? And Why the Pacers Can’t Stop Talking About Myles Turner

How Likely is an Al Horford Signing? And Why the Pacers Can’t Stop Talking About Myles Turner

Could Al Horford actually be a possibility for the Bucks? And news we received yesterday should have a big impact on the Eastern Conference. We dig into that coming up next on Locked on Bucks. You are locked on Bucks, your daily Milwaukee Bucks podcast, part of the Locked On podcast network, your team every day. Welcome in to Locked On Bucks. I’m Justin Garcia joined as always by Camille Davis. We thank you for making this your first listen of the day each and every day. You can hear me on the Bucks Radio Network. Right now, new customers can get $150 in bonus bets when your first $5 bet wins. Um, not a whole lot in terms of any player movement that we’ve seen in the past couple days here, but we did continue to get some additional reporting nuggets out there. And I think the biggest one or most eyebrow raising on the Bucks front came from Mark Spears uh what, Sunday night, Monday morning that uh the Bucks are one of the teams that’s interested in Al Horford. So I know when I saw that I had to kind of do a triple take like wait what the Bucks. So what was your thought when you saw that? Very similar because you know you were hearing about the Warriors. It felt like that was something that was going to happen. Um and then hearing Spirit just come out and say like they thought it would happen last week but he didn’t sign. Like he is taking his time. He’s actually even still considering retirement. He reported to that he has a six kid on the way right now. So, he’s really just taking his time trying to figure that out whether it’s, you know, Golden State or maybe the Lakers. But when I saw Milwaukee listed as well and heard him say that, I was like, huh, okay. I that that goes against a bit of the uh get younger, continue to, you know, try to make Giannis one of your oldest bucks. Um, and we were talking a bit before we started recording, but this rumor would have made a lot more sense to me before the Miles Turner signing. Yeah. But now it’s kind of like I don’t I don’t think that Al Horford is is what the Bucks need at this particular moment. He’s still a very good player at his age, can space the floor. Um, but you get a lot of that in Turner. And I just don’t think that uh adding the 39y old Al Horford makes a lot of sense for the Bucks. Yeah, I mean he’s his player type is the ideal fit next to Giannis. I think he is a better defender than Miles Turner, but the big piece is he’s 39 years old. And at this point, as you look at the roster, uh your front court is is where you feel the most secure now that you have Giannis, you have a younger version of Brook Lopez, you brought back Bobby Poris, and and you would assume you’re going to continue to develop Jericho Sims this upcoming year. So maybe the biggest benefit of uh Bucks Al Horford Union would be you don’t have to worry about playing against Al Horford and him defending Giannis. Not again to say that he’s the Giannis stopper because there is no Giannis stopper, but he’s found some success in recent years with um with that matchup. So yeah, I was a little surprised by that and maybe again it’s a creative way of asset management of you know just as we talked about and and as expected a lot of people were not pleased with the notion of is there a trade cooking and is it possibly somebody that Bucks fans would not want to part with. That’s the only thing I could think of with this too of okay you bring in Al Horford for a year somebody’s going to get squeezed on minutes. do you deal from a position of strength to try to solidify uh that small forward position or anywhere on the perimeter? But yeah, very interesting. Where do you think he ends up ultimately because you mentioned a little bit of surprise that he still hasn’t signed and I think it was at one point kind of a foregone conclusion he was going to Golden State. Uh it’s a little tricky. We can get into that with why it may be taking that long, but do you think that’s where he ultimately ends up or somewhere else or retirement? I think if he does play the Warriors makes a lot of sense for him. Um especially looking at what they’re trying to do. Like you have Jimmy Butler out there next to Draymond Green. Of course you have Steph Curry who is one of the greatest shooters if not the greatest shooter of all time. Uh but when you have Draymond and Jimmy out there, like floor spacing is is a little bit more clunky um just given some of their limitations. So having a stretch big makes so much sense which is why like post for them makes a lot of sense as somebody who might get playing Lopez and Bobby Poris rumblings. Right. Right. And post might be on the Andre Jackson minutes where it’s like you start but you’re only playing 18 20 minutes because you know we’re trying to space the floor to start the game at the start of quarters. But I think the Warriors is the best fit for Al Horford. I don’t think the Lakers in their timeline of them trying to move into the Luca timeline makes as much sense there. But if you’re trying to get one year trying to win a ring, why not go all in with the Warriors team that is also trying to go all in with the Jimmy Butler, Draymond, Steph Curry trio? Um, we live in a glass house, so I’m not throwing stones here, but does Al Horford make the Warriors a title contender? I think I’ll put it like this. the the NBA is open, but the West is a gauntlet still. I think that Al Horford helps to raise their ceiling. Um, but I could make an argument that based on how you saw the Warriors play at the end of last year, I’d put them in contender tier prior to any other additional moves they make. Now, I do wonder if the Kaminga stuff like what happens with that because that’s like the real last big domino to fall for the Warriors. But I think Al Horford gives them something that they need um and makes the team better. But I already I don’t think it changes their floor or their ceiling considerably higher. I think he’s just a piece that fits. My concern is, you know, we lived this for the last couple of years would be Al Horford’s 39, Steph Curry’s 37, Jimmy Butler’s going to turn 36 during the season. Draymond Green’s 35. That I think we’ve started to see enough for these last couple of years, that’s not the type of group that gets it done and that you can rely on. So, the longer it goes, I kind of think he’s just going to retire because uh you mentioned he has a sixth kid on the way. He’s also talked about, I believe, a 10year-old that he has that’s going to school in the Boston area that do you want to uproot a kid for one year for six months. Um, so I kind of think the longer this is stretching out, I think Al Horford’s going to retire. And as we mentioned, all the Bucks could offer is a veteran minimum. So, I’m sure you would look at it and say, “Well, if that’s it, why wouldn’t you just go back to the Celtics for a veteran minimum?” Which I would also say, “Yeah, why wouldn’t you just do that?” Um, the problem with it is Boston is currently $15,000 under the Second Apron. So, I mean, they could they have bird rights in Al Horford. They could give him more than the minimum, but anything they give him is pushing them right back into the second apron. Now, there are ways around it. Some of the ways that I think we’ll get to a little later in the show that we talked about, why did the Pacers do this? You could trade Sam Hower. You could trade Anthony Simons. You could explore some of those moves to get under that second apron. But right now, that’s the reason why. And the stalling between Al Horford and a potential union with the Warriors also kind of ties to the aprons because the Warriors are basically waiting to see is Al Horford going to choose us that we have that stretch five that we’re waiting on because once that’s resolved then we can move on to the Jonathan Kaminga discussion and they I believe are capped at the first apron. So, they’re not gonna have if they sign Al Horford to that uh mid level, they’re not gonna have anywhere near the ballpark of what Kaminga is reportedly looking for. So, that’s why it’s it’s right now kind of stalled on Al Horford and Jonathan Kaminga. They’re tied to to one another. So I I do wonder too and it’s another name that we’ve heard the Bucks show interest in. Is there a team that’s kind of waiting and saying, “Okay, let’s see if Alford goes to the Warriors. If he does, then we know Golden State’s capped at like 15 million is all that their base level offer could be to Jonathan Kaminga. Let’s go in with a $16 million offer. They can’t match it and we sign him.” So, I do think there’s still a lot of moves left to come and it all kind of ties to Al Horford as he’s the guy that’s backing all of this up um potentially for the Bucks on both fronts with both of those names. So, we talked about roster construction, age of rosters, injuries, how important that is in in this day and age. And it leads us to a very interesting Eastern Conference team who we’ve started to see some news trickle out about and who frankly to be honest I don’t think we’ve paid much attention to um so far when we’ve structured our tears so bad job uh I won’t speak for you Camille but me on that front but I don’t feel great about some of the news that’s coming out of one of the Bucks Eastern Conference rivals. We’ll get into that and what it means for the East coming up next. Well, time to talk to you about FanDuel. It’s summertime, so the summer sports are in full swing. Philadelphia 76ers, Camille. Um, was there So, I’ I’ve been battling a cold and flu for the past couple days. So, maybe it was a fog of that. Was there not a report prior to what we’re going to get to now about Joel Embiid that there’s still we’re hopeful he’s going to be ready for training camp? Yes. just saying that, you know, we think that he’s on track to be ready to go by training camp, but he still hasn’t played 5v5 um at this point. So, they’re just keeping an eye on his recovery, but that was the only piece of news that we’ve even heard about Joel and be so far this summer. But, I don’t know, it doesn’t it didn’t feel like a positive one. Um, but I guess there’s still some optimism in there if you want to look at it that way. Well, the next piece feels even less positive. So, Paul George, did he already have the procedure or he’s about to knee surgery just occurred? Knee surgery for Paul George. He uh what? Tweaked the knee in an offseason workout. And do you have the exact wording in the release in front of you? I don’t. But it didn’t sound great. like not that his season is over, but more of the hopeful uh for the starts of camp that I maybe it’s just uh us being jaded and cynical Camille, but we’ve been through this before with one of our all-time favorite players that I read the release and I was inclined to think, okay, so we’re not seeing Paul George until mid late November. Yeah. Shams tweeted out, “Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George underwent a successful arthoscopic procedure on his left knee Monday to treat an injury suffered during a recent workout.” A team official tells ESPN George will now begin a rehab program and be re-evaluated prior to the start of training camp. Um, so yeah, which is late September. Yeah. Yeah. Where he gets re-evaluated. So that’s no guarantee of a return at that point. And this is a 76ers team that if memory serves me right on a lot of different betting sites had better odds than the Milwaukee Bucks to come out of the East this upcoming season. And you have the Joel Embiid news. You now have this Paul George news about him getting injured during a workout which is unfortunate for him. um especially after the year he had in Philly where the questions were starting to come up of is this a blip in the radar for Paul George or is this the beginning of like a slide in his play? Uh because like the playmaking was good for George the defense at times but just couldn’t seem to beat guys off the dribble as frequently as he did in the past. Uh the offense just didn’t look as fluid for him. So, this is a Philly team that goes into the year without Embiid, without Paul George. What does that really do for them and their chances to contend in the East? Because I do like the young pieces that they have with Maxine McCain coming back. Edgecomb looks like he could be somebody if they get Grimes back. a lot of guards um over there, but like if they’re without Embiid and they’re without Paul George, like it changes the my viewpoint of the team drastically of what their ceiling can be. Um, yeah. I mean, pretty similar to it, at least to me. It’s starting to feel like a timeline that we all experienced before where injuries piled up to not your best, but one of your best players. In the case of the Bucks with the Sixers, it was clearly their best and others in Joel Embiid. But that happens and you sustain that for a couple of years and you think we just got to hold it together and then we can move forward and you make some moves to tweak the roster and it just doesn’t work out. You know the the Damen Lillard trade as we both said and as Drew Holidayiday himself said I get why they did it. It’s a trade I would have made to it didn’t work. And it kind of feels like that’s where we’re headed with Philly. I mean you pointed to the signs that we could see with Paul George a year ago. He’s 35 years old and I don’t want to get too agist here, but I think we’re starting to see more and more of it’s fine to have some of those sprinkled throughout your roster. like you need that fat to lean on and you it’s fine if your best player is that, but you can’t comprise your roster full of guys that are hitting that age and that are not only hitting that age, hitting that age with some significant injury history under their belt as well because of the the style of the modern game and how it’s played. And that’s where Philadelphia is right now. I don’t know when this was updated, but you mentioned Billy’s chances and um how it related to the Bucks. So, I I don’t have the title odds in front of me, but the overunders, the most recent I’m seeing on FanDuel has the Bucks at 44 and a half, and I think when we did it a week or so ago, it was anywhere from 43 to 45. 44 and a half for the Bucks. Where would you guess the Sixers are at this point? Probably like 41 and a half. 43 and a half. And again, I don’t know when this was most recently updated. So, I’m curious if there’s a change this week where that plummets to. But think about that Eastern Conference where we talk about being wide open and all the hoopla that surrounded the Sixers off seasonason a year ago. I mean I on our overunder draft pick the Sixers to have the highest win total in the Eastern Conference and just one year later 43 and a half is going to be like sixth in the Eastern Conference. That’s the outlook of the Sixers. Yeah, it is. And Doc Rivers was, I think, at Summer League talking on uh SiriusXM about that. And he mentioned about how the East is so wide open right now and what that means for teams and trying to put together a team that can compete. And he mentioned like, I don’t think the NBA has been more open in like 20 years as it is in this particular moment. We’ve talked about how many different champions we’ve had over the last few years. And he mentioned, of course, you got to give some respect to the Thunder because how they’re constructed, they can scare you for the next few years to come. But he’s like, I think we’re in the thick of things. Like that’s just how it’s working. And if you look at what’s happening in Philly now with their injuries, too, like it adds more fuel to that fire of like this is really anyone’s conference because there were people thinking like, hey, if Philly is healthy, you have to respect it. And I agree with that. It’s just like as we’ve mentioned with the Chris Middleton years here and just injuries not, you know, uh being on your side. I’ll put it like that. Um waiting on that if healthy part can be a long wait game and if it doesn’t come to fruition, it’s another season that’s gone. And Philly has been one of the teams and listed with the Bucks and the Celtics for years in the East of like these are your three best teams in the East. And right now that’s all thrown array with the Tatum, you know, Achilles injury with the Bucks rebuilding on the fly here to fit this new scheme around Giannis with the injuries going on in Philly. And it honestly does make me um even a bit more optimistic about what the Bucks might be able to do this year in the East when you take a look around of what else is going on. So, and again, I I don’t think this is as of uh today, this morning with the updates to it, but I don’t anticipate all that much movement. If not, um the betting odds for NBA championship this upcoming season, Oklahoma City is is obviously number one there. The Knicks are number one in the East and third best odds overall. And you got to go all the way to the middle of the pack. 76ers are plus 3600, which is the 13th best odds in the league. The the next three teams behind Philly are the Pistons, the Celtics, and the Bucks. Interesting. Plus 4,400 for the Bucks and the Celtics. Plus 4,100 for the Pistons. Um, the injury concerns, the I mean, look, Detroit had a really nice season a year ago. You obviously have Cade and some young pieces there. I think what we learned in the playoffs is you need a go-to guy and you need depth. Like, for how long we talked about, well, depth isn’t important. You can only play five guys at a time. It’s only a regular season thing. The depth piece is you need guys like you always hear play eight, trust seven. I really think those numbers are starting to bump up now in the playoffs and maybe the play and trust is at the same point as well. But you just need guys that you can play and rely on and that aren’t a liability on one end of the floor. And I mean, I I do think, look, as as we’ve talked about, I’m sure we’re going to continue to talk about I think it’s better for the Bucks to be not necessarily 16th best odds, but somewhere in that mix opposed to second best odds and being an under the radar team. I wouldn’t say the Bucks right now are constructed to be the best team in the East or to have the best chance of coming out of the conference, but I think they’ve given themselves a good chance to enter that conversation to see how things start to come together throughout the course of the season. You have Giannis. We think their defense is certainly going to be at the very least as good as it was a year ago. it’s probably going to be improved because you got to feel like you got better on the perimeter certainly defensively and Miles Turner is going to give you basically what Brook Lopez did. So, I think they’re a team that has a chance to come on and start to enter that conversation and and say, “Well, wait, the East is wide open. This team is playing pretty well and they’re finding some things and the Bucks are 40 and 25 right now. Wow, look at that.” something along those lines where it’s fine to not be in that mix right now. You want to be in that mix when you get to late February and March and April. Yeah, I absolutely agree with that and the Bucks. Like those championship odds having the Sixers over the Bucks right now is kind of laughable to me. Um but again, it’s an open conference and I think a lot of the conversation around the Bucks when they look at the moves that have been made, you know, people are saying it’s an overpay for Miles Turner. They’re bringing back a lot of the same crew like it didn’t work out last year. Why will it work this year? And we’ve mentioned it on the show like the everydayers are probably well aware of our feelings on it of like a lot of the crew is coming back. Yes. But the style of play will be different. And that difference in the style of play is what gives me the optimism about what this team can achieve this upcoming season. like using point guard Giannis, having shooters around him, being younger, being faster, playing with pace, defending, like all of that coming into play. Like the Bucks could they have a chance, I really do think, to be one of those surprise teams in the East, so to speak, because so many people are counting them out already. Um, and looking ahead to what’s coming next with Orlando, with Atlanta, with Cleveland, with the Knicks. So, I think that the Bucks have a chance here to really uh surprise some folks along the way. Again, assuming uh that the the play, the change in play style works out for him, which I think that it will. We have history of of point guard Giannis. We know it’s something that he can do in his bag. Doc also mentioned in that interview that um when the season ended, Doc requested to work with Spencer off top, who is like the guard coach on the team, and Doc had to be like like that’s fine, but don’t forget you are a big like don’t forget that. But I I think point Giannis is going to be the engine that this team needs to really make a strong push. Yeah. And um his pairing with Miles Turner is obviously going to be the biggest piece there for the Bucks. So um no love lost between Miles Turner and the only team he had known of 10 years. We continue to get more and more of that. We’ll revisit where we’re at next on Lockdown Books. Well, let’s be honest. Meal planning, grocery shopping, it can all be overwhelming. There’s been uh many columns written in the Indie Star about Benedict Miles and what he did to the Pacers. We’ve seen Andrew Nemhard uh apparently appear to toss some shade at him passive aggressively on social media. Uh other Pacers players, Rick Carile coming out and uh basically saying the Bucks held Miles Turner hostage and told him take it or leave it and he left. Um and then the explanation from Kevin Pritchard as well. We were willing to pay. He just didn’t want to return our calls and didn’t give us a chance to match. So, I mean, it does make for good theater and good drama. Although, you could say, “Well, if there were two teams that didn’t need that already, it’s these two teams.” But maybe, just maybe, that’s even better that the league can just say, “All right, let’s really sink our teeth in it.” I mean, the shame of it is there’s no there’s no Tyresese Hallebert in this season to really beef up that rivalry. But nonetheless, you know, it’s going to be interesting for uh what at least 12 games over the next three years and potentially 16 or more in the playoffs. I guess where do you stand on this of Miles Turner being painted the villain and selfish and what he did to the Pacers versus Hey, I mean, you guys could have avoided this. You could have signed me. The implication that he was lowballed. He talked with Kyrie Irving, too, who by the way, have you followed any of Kyrie’s streams during a few of them, like clips of walking through casinos, but he was with Kyrie Irving and talking about um family being important to him, just the type of person that he is and what he’s looking for. And look, I think there’s a lot of similarities between Milwaukee and Indianapolis in terms of their culture and night life and lifestyle. Uh, I mean, I I think Milwaukee is going to be a great fit for Miles Turner off the court with the type of person we’ve come to find out that he is, but I think if you read between the lines, it is Miles Turner saying, “Well, look, I don’t think you guys really valued me properly for the last couple of years, and I’ve still kept with me the fact that a lot of you wanted me traded.” And hints that even some of the organization weren’t really my biggest supporter. I mean, we can go back a couple of years ago when they signed DeAndre Aton to an offer sheet with Miles Turner still under contract and um it was time for me to leave. And the Pacers, as we talked about and documented, I get it from their perspective, too, of we don’t really see very many teams with cap space. It’s the Brooklyn Nets that have the most to throw at you. They’re not a threat to sign you. So, yeah, this is negotiation 101. can start low because we did not expect the Bucks to wave and stretch Damen Lillard and create that cap space. So, I think it all boils down to it was probably time after 10 years for Miles Turner to move on. And I mean, I don’t fault the Pacers for that negotiation tactic this off season. The bigger piece is look, you could have avoided him getting to free agency. I think that’s where a lot of these feelings are coming out on both sides. Yeah. And listen, feelings are they’re going to be strong for this. Honestly, Miles Turner coming here to Milwaukee um in the year where there is no Tyresese Hallebertton is going to be I think that carrot that dangles to kind of keep this rivalry that’s been forming between these two teams over the last few years uh pretty redot because based on what you know Pacers fans are saying I saw a post in the the Bugs Reddit um I think yesterday or early this morning just saying like Pacers Red is crashing out right now over the Miles Turner news like and I’ve seen it on social media and Twitter of them laughing at Miles Turner saying he came to Milwaukee because compete so he can compete and they’re like you think you can do that in Milwaukee a team that we’ve beaten twice and this and this and this and that but again like I just said like you put Miles Turner next to Giannis with the shooters and the way that they’re envisioning playing like there’s a real chance to compete in Milwaukee and I can understand if other people don’t see it that way but like I see the pathway and Miles Turner definitely bought into that as well And I think a lot of things can be true at the same time. Like yes, the Pacers probably did want to retain Miles Turner. Yes, they’re probably heard about it. And no, they probably did not expect for the Bucks of all teams to be able to clear that cap space and they thought that they were negotiating from a place of power where it’s like go ahead and try to beat this offer if you want to, but like we don’t see where you can. And then here come the Bucks and John Horse being John Horse and just saying like, “Hey, actually uh come over this way real quick cuz we got an idea of how to make this actually work. The money was right. He saw a situation where he could compete in addition to competing a situation and a chance to kind of we know he has love for for Indie. But also if you want to be that type of person, you can stick it back to your old team that had you in trade rumors for years that as he mentioned in the summer league, there were fans waiting for him to be traded for years. And now that he’s traded, they’re mad and he’s like, “There’s no way I can win in this situation.” And if you can’t win in the situation, just go out there and actually win in your new situation. And that’s the best, you know, the best that you can do. So, I’m here for it. As soon as all this indie Milwaukee stuff really started two years ago, I was kind of like, oo, interesting. Like, need need that. I love that. Like, and all the banter back and forth. I always say, as long as it’s not disrespectful, I’m down with it. You can be funny. We can get the crack jokes back and forth. Teams don’t have to like each other. And that’s part of what makes sports fun. like fans are going to fan out. Like fan is short for fanatic. Like you care about your team. You care about the situation. So when things like this happens, it just adds another chapter into what is becoming uh just a really fun rivalry between the Bucks and the Pacers. Although the Bucks need to start getting some dubs their way over the Pacers. It’s uh I mean it’s a budding rivalry. Um Mark Bole, the longtime voice of the Pacers, I think put it best. We were talking before I think game three of this first round series and and he always kind of like Dave and I would, you know, hey, how how do you feel about this rivalry? And he would always kind of like downplay it. And he finally gave an answer before the the playoffs and said, well, yeah, there’s clearly something there, but for this to be a true rivalry, it’s one thing to meet in the playoffs annually, but it has to be deeper in the playoffs. like that’s what made the Pacers and the Knicks so special for years was second round conference finals a couple of times as well. Um maybe we’ll get there this year, I don’t know, with Tyrese Albertton expected to miss the season. But yeah, I I mean what are the odds that the Bucks season begins on whatever that Thursday or Wednesday is in Indianapolis at Bankers Life Fieldhouse? there’s a chance for it. Like I’m when the schedule does release, I would be surprised if Pacers Bucks is not a national game at least at least once. I want to say at least twice honestly. Uh just because one game in Milwaukee, one game in Indie, but like Miles Turn Miles Turner’s return to Indie has to be I think on national TV at this point with what’s been happening with these two teams. Of course, if Hallebertton is healthy, one, who knows if Miles Turner, if this even happens, if he’s healthy, but also like it helps with the ratings, but even without that, like that has to be a national TV game in my book. I mean, and had Tyrese Albert not suffer that injury. And had the Bucks not lost in the first round, three consecutive years, you could really talk up a case for man Christmas Day Bucks and Pacers on national TV to get that rivalry going. But uh yeah, those are going to be the games that everybody is circling to see where are the four games against Indiana, how many of those are on national TV, what’s that first game back in Indie going to be like for Miles Turner as well. But it’s just it’s funny seeing a lot of the reaction and I was I was really trying to think I don’t think there’s a comp for the Bucks, but what’s the comp in Wisconsin sports for that type of guy? for the Miles Turner who maybe you didn’t properly and I think we can even remove May maybe from that didn’t really properly value until the last couple of years there and then he leaves and he goes to a team that you hate and it’s uh I mean it’s not Craig Council because everybody valued Craig Council prior to that but that’s the feel that you’re getting from Indie that wow you went to that team this means war but I think the big thing is it was it’s too little too late that you could have avoided this getting here and and Miles’s point which he has not bluntly said outside of the you know some of them wanted me gone for years but Miles point I think is very clearly you guys hated me you guys wanted me traded up until we started to play better as a team and reached the conference finals and finals and then I was valued and now also the the revisionist history of grant I’m not going to say Miles Turner was good in the finals but now all of a sudden it comes well you could have been competitive in that series and good, he’s gone. He didn’t do anything for us in the finals. So, it makes for a juicy four games that quite frankly already didn’t need that uh extra juice. We’ll see what transpires here on the Al Horford front. Any other news that starts to trickle out when the Bucks make some of these other moves official? It’s it’s still, I believe, one more day before the um Cole Anthony news can become official. So, we’ll wait and see where that’s at and uh start to keep an eye on some of these overunders and title odds and if the Bucks can maybe, just maybe, start to move up that leaderboard in the Eastern Conference. That’ll do it for today’s show for Camille. I’m Justin. We’ll talk once again tomorrow on Lockdown Bucks.

  1. Myles Turner said one of the reasons he signed with the Bucks is that he wanted to remain “competitive”. Doc got this guy drinking the kool-aid. Turner shrank on the most competitive stage in the sport, the ECF and NBA finals.

  2. I know it’s not the same level of impact probably, but Mercedes Lewis going from packers to bears. A beloved veteran that is under appreciated and goes to rival.

  3. Hello. The Myles Turner talk is winding down in Indy, but he WAS there for 10 years and the trade was merely DAYS ago. A lot of people still speak of it around the entire league especially with the way it was done considering Dame, but it's losing steam. Peace.

  4. If we don't address the wing and roll prince back out there I stg AL would be nice but we need a scoring wing defender we have No One to currently guard teams best wing players a Wiggins, kuminga, herb is the move n clearly what Jon thinks because we've been connected to all those players

  5. no matter how injured embiid has been it still was a horrible move by the bucks front office back then taking Jabari, it probably cost the Bucks at least one more championship not having that asset

  6. I'd rather give Jericho Sims minutes than washed Al Horford. Horford was terrible in the playoffs and if he had anything left Celtics would of kept him.

  7. A lot of the crew is coming back for the Bucks this year, but it wasn't until the last 10 games. That doc figured out some really strong, winning rotations to start. And most of those rotations are still on the box

  8. I also love how Camille calls him "Point Giannis" because it reminds me of anime when someone levels up and becomes like a big boss. His ultimate form.

  9. I'm sorry but the Bucks are better than the Pistons lol who on the Pistons is that much better on the Bucks outside of Giannis? Giannis is multi-tiers better than Cade. The only teams that have a better on paper roster are the Knicks, Cavs, Magic (just barely) and I could give it to the Hawks. That's it.

  10. He averaged 10 and 4 in the finals the pacers weren’t ever going to offer him what the bucks did. I think your title is reckless considering that Myles said the main reason he left Indy was he wants to stay competitive. Of course that’s going to not sit well with pacer fans when if Myles plays better in the finals, the pacers are champions.

  11. Didn't we just let Lopez go bc he can't cover ground much and now we may be signing an even older player?

Do urself a favor and get a starting 3 instead.
