Hey, Spurs fam. Just got back from uh the Thomas and Max Center where number one pick Cooper Flag and number two pick Dylan Harper at the San Antonio Spurs just played. Electric atmosphere first and foremost. Uh got to sit with uh Rick aka Spernandez and Eric Selenus. Great getting to see y’all this weekend at Hangout IRL. Some notes from the game. one, my voice is a little rough because we started it off uh yelling, “Go spurs go.” Could definitely see the team getting hyped. Uh we’ll just jump to it first with Dylan Harper. This dude, if he has a minor groin injury, is pretty damn excellent. Uh, I never once saw him probably overexert himself as far as speed goes, but the block that he got on Nemard where he jumped so high that he lost his footing was phenomenal to watch. Secondly, dude could get to every spot he wanted on the court. Uh, did he miss some shots? Of course. first game really playing in a long time, but shooting form looked good. Finishing touch looks excellent. Uh vision as a passer is definitely there. A couple of really good passes that he had that just weren’t able to make it to uh a SEO, but really love what I saw from him. Carter Bryant, we got a demon, folks. I don’t know how many blocks this team is going to average in the regular season, but Carter Bryant, if you remember already from California Classic to now, he’s not getting into that uh foul trouble that he was already doing. So, you know that he’s a good player. Shot form still looks good. Um, one thing I really want to see from him is more some drive and kick kind of playmaking at the moment. Uh, I imagine when he’s playing with the team though that he’s going to be basically asked on offense, uh, park in a corner, be an outlet, uh, for the offense, either help reset it or, uh, fire off a three. Um, but man, am I loving what he’s doing. Could definitely tell in the game, I don’t know how much this translated to TV, that Carter Bryant took guarding Cooper flag personally. Dylan Harper took going at Cooper Flag personally. There were a couple times where Harper does not need the switch or the pick to get where he wants, but calling for it anyway. And uh then going at Cooper Flag, I think both these dudes just wanted to kind of send a message to each other and uh with the block parties that were having happening in that game, uh definitely took some glances over at Wimby across the court. Looked very pleased with it. So, Spurs fans, I don’t know how much longer either of these dudes are going to
