New York Knicks vs Brooklyn Nets Full Game Highlights – July 15, 2025 | NBA Summer League
also in action tomorrow after had a bit of a delay here. This a big opportunity for Grant Nelson who is an undrafted free agent played at Alabama can really shoot the ball. He’s shown good driving ability early on in these two games as well. Here’s Nelson comfortable on the perimeter. Take it to the corner defending the rim and doing it nicely. Challenging the shot from Caleb Daniels who got it back and scored the first two for Brooklyn. Kle keeps the eyes up. fires a three. Knocks it down. He got the friendly roll. Living right. [Applause] There goes Sarath. Hangs and hits. Very good play. And the rebound to Traor and Saraf on the floor together. Multiple ball handlers for Brooklyn. Timmy ducks inside and scores on Sunday. A game the Nets lost 102 to 96. Yeah, I said 28 to start the game. That ripped off somebody’s two points. Whoever that is, I apologize. He’s been playing a lot and scoring a lot. Yeah, not he obviously is not as great a movement right now. So, we’ll see. Oh, Saraf goes right to the hole. And you mentioned that early, Tom. It’s If you get it, you take it. Co off balance, fadeaway, fall, soft touch. That’s where he’s good. He gets in that paint. He reads situations, but he can drive and score. And building that little one foot runner floater game at the NBA level will be big for him. There’s a steal for Kohic. Catch and go ahead to Bo Champ. Great feed from Tyler Coen. Be a guy that can get up the floor before everybody else and then come down here and get after people defensively. Timmy the drive. What a finish from Drew Timmy. It’ll count. Plus a foul. Set a pick. Harass. You’re slipping too easy. You got to set a pick and try to create some separation for the ball handler. Naji a little out of control, but it works. So right now they’re playing in traffic. Just a bad pass. Yeah. Ben Zarov takes it. Piler in the punch for the rookie. He’s got seven. So right now they’re playing in traffic. Just a bad pass. Yeah. Ben Zarov takes it. Piler in the punch for the rookie. He’s got seven. Defense is the emphasis for Jordy Fernandez and the Brooklyn Nets. Jordy sitting over here to our right. James Dolan and Mike Brown sitting to our left. And this Subway serious matchup is Kohic drains his second three of the first quarter. 11 points for Tyler Kick in the first quarter. [Applause] [Music] TJ Bomba in the lane. Pull up jumper goes. Yeah, it’s a good play, TJ. That’s it’s a good looking corner three from Luca Trore can’t finish. Cleaned up. Five first round picks for them in this year’s draft which was held at their home arena, Barkley Center in Brooklyn. Tom Green, you were there covering it for SiriusXM as a three from Holliveri is good. Were you surprised that they used all five of those picks? That is his game. He loves to handle and make plays. He’s much better going down the middle of the floor than the side, but Port keeps it, scores it. Nice touch to be. You know, there’s not enough uh there’s not enough straight up and down with Grant shot. There goes Olive over Hucky for two. Here comes Bo Champ. Kick for three. That’s good, man. Tyler Koh is balling. Beautiful shot. Talking a little bit to the Nets’s bench, too. Quicker release. Nicks with some fullourt pressure. Diawir got a hand on it. Saraf ends up with it. Bounce pass for Bomba and he scores. That’s college Bomba right there being down in that baseline being really, really good on the break driving it or being down low corner to baseline area. Tyler Kick is smoking. He’s got 20. Pass it on the move is that’s gravy, but you got to have those other things. Got to be able to guard the pick and roll. Daniels knifing down the lane for two. He did a good job. He got better at Sou Falls playing in the Miami Heat organization a year ago. He was always one of my favorites to watch at Villanova. Lad throw it down. There goes Caleb Daniels. Nice pass. Yeah. finds Nelson for the deuce at Villanovavva. There’s Timmy showing Kohic. A long one. Oh, Tyler Kick. That’s not happening to Jaylen Brunson. Paint blocked by Timmy. How about Drew Timmy closing the gap. Daniels in the corner. Davis for three. That’s good. He started his career at George Mason before he went to Marquette. Became one of the best players in the country. Saraf, no one stopped the ball. They missed it. Nelson cleans it up. Ball movement. The baseline drive from Dawara who just soarses. He is a very confident player. That was a great drive. I would have done the wave and stretch because I think when where Milwaukee is and certainly there’s been a lot of talk about Giannis and I think when you have a a generational player like Giannis on on your roster because out of the lineup we replace him with Miles Turner, we still bring back Gary Trent. Uh you brought back Ryan Rollins and Gary Harris some of the other um you know there is going to be some type of set off as far as what Milwaukee is owing him right now. Not the full amount but there is a setup here. There’s Bo Champ again. hit his first three of the game earlier in this quarter. You know what? I’m not jumping on my shot. All right. I’m not getting great rotation on the ball. It’s a little flat. I’m going to change all that right now. That’s how he’s playing. Well, you know what’s interesting too with Marjor Bo Champamp is that we No, no question about it. I mean, and he’s it’s good to see him come out and do this cuz he’s missing wide open shots in the first half and a lot some it’s the rotation, the way it comes off his hand, but a lot of it’s just not getting enough lift. How feasible is it for Oklahoma City to keep their roster together though? Well, you’re going to have to read about it tomorrow. I got an article coming out on that on Oklahoma City and some of these these higher spending teams. So I I think if there’s any team that can defeat the apron because he’ll be that much stronger in the lower body and be getting his release off that much quicker. Yeah, we’re not seeing him play today. Net’s playing on a a back to back here. So a couple guys are sitting out. But Jman is Oh, no question. And he finishes. I mean he can he can score. He’s been well trained around that basket. Samuel the offensive rebound for Brooklyn puts it in to cut the lead to six. got his team on top 69 to 60. The skip, five to shoot, and a little push shot goes for Bales. Some complaining. Some of us are up till 2:00 in the morning without a nap. Yeah, but I’m I’m just walking around my room. You’re walking around Vegas. [Music] [Applause] [Music] The good find and Naji the good finish. Bay on the drive and the step through had it stripped. Here’s the athleticism of TJ Bomba and he scores and one. That is the official inbounds play of the Las Vegas summer league. Everybody has that screen to screener running that way. Ends up with Dawir on a mid-range jumper. Well, they gave up a lot to get him, right? Couple of first round picks. Picked him at eighth in the draft. Didn’t play a whole lot as you saw in his rookie season. Here’s Bo Champ who had a great third quarter and he scores here in the fourth. Man, he looked like a different guy. He didn’t switch uniforms. maybe switch shoes cuz he’s a different dude. And then a great play from Jamal Bay forcing a Brooklyn timeout. This is a 13-point lead for New York. Just one for eight shooting threes. He got up to a slow start there. Much better in the second half. See, that’s we just saw it. I don’t You could see it at home. Bo Champ’s eyes are down. Like when you’re coming off that ball screen, you got to have your eyes up because 13-point lead for New York as KA got on the board here in the fourth. Timmy with the spin. That’s his bread and butter. [Music] Nick’s coming off a 51 and 31 season. Made it to the conference finals. Looking to find some guys who can help them in their rotation. And maybe Marjan Bo Champ is one of them. He’s Timmy again. Again. It’s the spin and the and one for the Olive gets in the lane, finds Saraf, attacks the close out. Kick it outside. That’s good offense for Brooklyn. And it leads to a three from Daniels. Yeah. Timmy on the perimeter. Big to big to Nelson. That’s pretty good pass. See what’s going to happen if we’re going to get these situational calls right here. But you just got to bear down. Okay. If you’re the Knicks, you want some ball movement reversals if you’re the Nets. And Timmy’s doing it all. Timmy just taking off the elbow. It’s just too easy. Second half he’s put together. Sure has. 25 points for the game. Tom, he’s nine for nine at the line. I’ve met him a couple times. He’s an impressive person. You want to see a guy like that make it. Oliver goes to the basket. Pad the stats a little bit. Four-point lead for New York. And that is all she wrote. Well, the Knicks have their first win in Vegas this year. Call it.
