Once second half started, got a few to fall. I think it’s kind of slow down for you a little bit. Yeah. Um, first of all, I was It’s good. Thank God it’s good to be back on the floor. Thank God for that. Um, yeah, like you said, first half, I was trying to get my foot under me. Um, but I ain’t no excuse, but I just could go out there and just play hard. Um, second half, he said, like you said, slowed down. Um, he’s able to make easier reads, get more in the flow. So, yeah, it was but it was good. I mean, we won, so that’s all that matters. Were you was it kind of like I think you were trying to get used to the range of motion in your wrist in the first couple shots? No. No, it was my left hand. Just my left hand. Um so my right hand was fine. I was just missing. That’s that’s it. Simple. I was just missing shots. Um ain’t nothing like I can say about that except got to go in. That’s all. Is it ever difficult for you to stay aggressive when shots aren’t falling or do you just know you got to keep your head down and keep going? It’s part of the game. You’re going to miss shots. I don’t think there have been anyone on earth that played basketball and haven’t and made every shot. So, I mean, at the end of the day, just got to keep playing basketball. Take what they give me. Um, the lane is there. Attack the lane, make some plays, create for others, do something. Um, but just I’m I’m be myself the whole time. How did you How did you feel about the job you did creating for others? There were a lot of times, especially I think in the second quarter, where you were driving and maybe kicking. Yeah. Um, they they closed in on me. Um, I ain’t had it wasn’t much lanes when I get the ball. So, I mean, my teammates, you know, they credit them for making themselves available. Um, and you know, I passed the ball. Facts. I mean, shot went in. Happy to see one go through the net. I mean, I think I don’t know. I shot the ball horrible. Um, we won. That’s all that matters, but I shot the ball horrible and ain’t nothing I can do about it now. How do you feel like it’s gone handling league guard responsibilities and how that just helps you grow your game? Yeah, I mean still learning. I learn every day um when it comes to being the point guard, league guard, whatever you want to call it. I learn every day. So, um I’m just just keep my head down, keep working to be honest. Um watch film, do what I have to do to get better. And what are your primary goals for summer? What do you want to show? Oh man, I mean I’m glad I was able to play tomorrow. I don’t know what’s going to happen. And I haven’t talked to coach nothing about that. So, I mean, we’ll see. Now that you played in some of the in Vegas for the first time, what’s something different that you experience compared to unfortunately growing up as a you realized for the first time now that you’ve actually played? Um, intensity is high at all times. Um, yeah, I think that’s the main thing, just intensity. Um, like you said, you watching it from the TV, so you know, they players make it look easy because they’re in the NBA for a reason, you know. Um, but it’s not it’s not as easy as you think it is. We just got to go down and play basketball. How was it having your mom sitting along the baseline? She was there. Yeah. Oh, well, I didn’t even I don’t know where she was to be honest. And I’m on the court. I I don’t know where she’d be at to be honest. I ain’t going to lie to you. How do you describe just the support she’s given you during your basketball journey? Amazing. That’s that’s all I got. She She’s amazing. Very supportive. Um ups and downs, she’s still the same person. So I love it for that. Where did you learn to play at different speeds? Pardon? Where did you learn to play at different speeds? And I asked you that because of how athletic you are guys athleticism kind of play. Yeah. Um it just comes with reading the floor. I mean if you can read the floor. Um just have pace and poise. Something I’ve been trying to get better at. Um you know, you never can you never can not be you know not be getting better at something. So that’s something I want to be that’s something I want to be getting better at. So yeah. seems like you’re good at sort of finding seams in the defense in transition spots where you can sort of leak out towards the rim. I guess is that something that’s come naturally to you? Is that something that has taken studying film like can you walk me through how you’ve developed that? Yeah, it just comes with having IQ for the game. Um knowing your spots on the floor and knowing what’s going to be open when attacking transition um knowing the defensive uh defense tendencies, stuff like that. So like yeah, it just comes with film to be honest. Not everyone going to guard transition the same way. So it just comes to watching film. I mean, yeah, so far, I mean, kind of got a little bit of the feel. Uh, so far kind of getting a little bit more adjusted, comfortable, um, in our offense, things like that. Kind of finding my rhythm. Um, but hopefully, you know, it’s building blocks. I can go from here. When you get consistent, you know, touches and rhythm, you know, how how does that affect the guy a little bit when you get consistent touches and you get into a rhythm? I mean, I don’t think touches should justify uh your rhythm, you I think you should basketball is a lot more than just touches. You know, obviously touch is going to drop when you playing with, you know, guys like Embiid. You know, everybody says it, but that’s the truth. You know, we’re playing a summer league, so you know, you get you get maybe get a little more shots. You may shoot a little bit more than you you might might be better shots, might be bad shots, but uh of some league is for, but I don’t think shots should determine how much you’re in a rhythm. You talked at the beginning of when we got to Las Vegas about the improvement that you feel you have made and continue to make with your jump shot. I guess where do you feel like it’s at right now and how rewarding has it been for quite a few of these games for you to shoot the ball from deep? Uh I’ve been shooting all right. Um I missed four threes today so that was something I wasn’t happy with. Um probably should have made a couple more or made a one extra pass but I mean uh I guess I’ve been shooting pretty good I guess. Okay. Um, it’s still a lot of room for improvement, you know, as far as shot selection and, you know, uh, the consistency of shooting and making them. So, um, yeah. What did you see from DJ in terms of just playing through, you know, misses in front of him, trying to find his rhythm, but not letting it dictate like his energy, defensive? I think it was good to see for, you know, his teammates and for the Sixers fans because, you know, his first game he had an amazing game and everybody loved it. you know, today he didn’t really score it, you know, uh, like he did the first game. He was struggling a little bit offensively, but, you know, if you see it didn’t affect his energy on the defensive end or his ability to keep attacking. So, that was good to see that, you know, he didn’t let his scoring uh, difficulties affect the rest of his game. What did it mean to you to have Coach Pearl here supporting you? It was great. You know, um, obviously I was my coach from my last three years. We have a great relationship. So, um, having him him in in the building, he takes me before the games and he was coming coming here. So, um, maybe that’s why I got a double double, you know, who knows. How do you think he was sitting next to Nick Nurse? What do you think he would say about your game to your new coach? Uh, man, I don’t know. I might have to talk to him, ask him, find it out later, you know. Um, obviously, um, two great coaches, you know, uh, leaving one to go to the next one. So, um, hopefully I can build a great relationship with coach Nurse as well, you know, like I did coach Bro. What have your impressions been Hunter Salah so far? A lot of defensive end, a lot of bring to you guys. For sure. You know, he’s very active on defense like you said, uh, he’s very long. You know, he get pass lane, things like that. And offensively, you know, he’s very crafty. You know, he kind of create can create his own shot, can create for other a little bit. So, uh, I think he’s a good weapon for the
