This 24 Year Old Could Be Golden State’s Missing Piece!

Could the Golden State Warriors have just stumbled upon the next breakout name in summer league? Gabe Madson, a 24year-old undrafted guard out of Utah, is making a serious case to earn a roster spot, or at least a training camp invite after an eye-opening performance in this year’s summer league. Known as a high volume three-point shooter during his college career, Madson has already flashed what could make him valuable at the next level. Confidence, efficiency, and a quick trigger from deep. In the Warriors recent 103 to 93 win over the Jazz, Madson exploded for 22 points in just 17 minutes of action, knocking down six of 10 from three while also picking up a pair of steels. That kind of production, especially from someone who was completely overlooked on draft night, turns heads fast, especially on a Warriors team looking to reload and refresh its bench with younger legs and consistent shooters. Madson isn’t just a one-ame wonder either. He finished his college career as Utah’s all-time leader in made threes, hitting over 100 triples in back-to-back seasons. Though his percentages, 37.1% from the field and 32.2% 2% from three weren’t elite. His role and volume made him a constant threat and a key floor spacer in Utah’s offense. He also showed flashes of solid offball movement, timely decision-m, and enough defensive awareness to not be a liability, traits that Golden State often values more than raw star power. Steve Bartle of KSL Sports called him on a heater after his hot shooting display. And Andy Larson from the Salt Lake Tribune admitted he didn’t expect Madson to be leading the scoring column so early in the game. But that’s exactly the kind of story that makes Summer League so exciting. Guys like Madson, who’ve spent 5 years grinding in college, quietly developing their game, suddenly showing out on a bigger stage. Standing at 6’5 with a smooth release, Madson looks like the type of specialist who could thrive in Steve Kerr’s system. One that relies on constant motion, quick reads, and deadly spacing. The Warriors, who have been quiet in free agency so far, are clearly evaluating their options and open to adding fresh blood to balance out their aging core. With another summer league matchup coming soon against the Memphis Grizzlies, the question now becomes, was that Jazz game just a hot night, or is Gabe Matson quietly forcing his way into Golden State’s future plans? One thing’s for sure, he’s not flying under the radar anymore.

Gabe Madsen is turning heads in the NBA summer league, showcasing his impressive three-point shooting. His confidence and efficiency could earn him a spot with the Golden State Warriors news. Stay tuned for more NBA news and updates!

  1. Do you think this guy could really be the next Splash Brother? Or is it just Summer League hype? 👀🔥 Let me know what YOU think! ⬇⬇

  2. Draymond's new punching bag. This team will not be a contender anymore unless they get rid of that donkey who keeps on ruining the team out of jealousy and insecurity.
