So, this could actually be a legit trade that I could see happening this off season. All signs point towards Kaminga probably going back to Golden State to start the season, but if a trade that’s reasonable comes around, I’m sure he will be gone as soon as possible. But what if Nick Claxton was made available, which I definitely think he is. And what if he’s made available in talks for Jonathan Kaminga in more of a basketball trade? So, what I’ve seen so far is that Kaminga could be going to a team for like a veteran player or a couple veterans or whatever the case may be. Maybe a team that wants to get a little bit younger, trade some older vets out. It could make some sense there. But what if there’s more of a basketball trade that could happen? And I think that this scenario actually benefits both teams quite a bit. Uh from the Warriors perspective, they get a legitimate starting caliber center for them. I think having a front court of Nick Claxton and Draymond Green is a really really really solid uh defensive presence in the front court. Uh and he also fits the age uh you know pretty well of this group. but he’s a little bit younger than the other players, but uh for the foreseeable future of this franchise, I think getting a player like Nick Claxton in the prime of his career, uh you add his athleticism to the mix, his rim protecting, he can be a really solid player. Now, from the Nets perspective, they have offensive potential and offensive upside here with a 22-year-old Jonathan Kaminga. I think where Kaminga wants to go is a place where he can showcase his talents, be a focal point of the offense, and just sort of given how this Brooklyn Nets team, I would say, is quite young and I would say rebuilding. I think this is a good chance for Kaminga to go to Brooklyn and be a superstar. Like offensively speaking, he’s going to have lots of opportunity. Yeah, the team might not be that great. Uh, but from an individual perspective, he’s hoping to raise his value, get a new contract, etc. I think going to Brooklyn would be probably the best destination for him in regards to a basketball perspective. So, uh, this could actually be a pretty good win-win trade for both sides for different reasons. If I had to pick a winner of this deal, though, I’m going to go with the Warriors getting Nick Claxton. But, as always, leave your thoughts.
