But, uh, this trade would see the Boston Celtics receiving Walker Kesler and the Utah Jazz receiving Jordan Walsh, JD Davidson, a 2032 firstround draft pick and a 2032 second round draft pick. So, this trade proposal is pretty intriguing because the Celtics have undergone a lot of change this off season. Uh, we saw Drew Holiday get uh dished to the Trailblazers. saw Porzingis get dished to the Atlanta Hawks. And these are both salary saving moves. Like they they were able to get rid of a lot of money off their books, uh get under the second apron, and kind of set themselves up for the future. Well, especially with uh um Tatum of course missing the entirety most likely um of the 202526 season. It’s going to be a bit of a retooling year for them. So they save some money, build for the future, etc. But what if they want to sort of accomplish both here? Like I think a I think trading for someone like Walker Kesler, especially if the asking price in this scenario is only Jordan Walsh, Davidson, a future first, which is a little bit sketchy seven years down the road in a second round draft. But for a player who’s only 23, 24 years old, a double double machine, can play good defense, can play solid offense, I think he fits into the Celtics lineup tremendously well, not only for the short term, but for the long term as well, given his age, etc. So, he fits the timeline well. He’s a double double machine defensively speaking. He’s a presence below the basket and he’s a player that doesn’t necessarily stretch the floor tremendously well. But with Tatum injured next year, you bring Walker Kesler into the mix. Uh hopefully he plays well, gets adapted to the system. Then having a big three for the foreseeable future, I guess even big four of Derek White, Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum, then you have your center of the future and Walker Kesler. I love the move uh for the future of this Celtics organization. So uh pretty solid move for the most part. If you’re the Utah Jazz, I would probably want to get back a little bit more uh for Walker Kessler in my personal opinion. Uh Walker Kesler is one of many names available on the trade market this off season because the Utah Jazz looking to make some deals, but they accomplish what they want getting good young talent in future draft capital. I just think personally speaking, he can get back a little bit extra elsewhere in a Walker Kesler trade. So for those reasons, I think the winner of this deal would be the Boston Celtics.
