Thanks guys. While traveling these pods are fun a fun slice of home.
Like any player who moves from handling to playing off ball, Amari will need time to adjust to not having the ball so much like he did for UK.
I would like to see them use Amari like an offensive hub at hub nail with one of the guards bringing the ball up. I think he could shine at that role, occasionally getting mismatches, ready to rebound, and hitting open shooters.
I don't think Bassey is better than Queta, personally. They both have their flaws defensively, but I think we might as well just roll with Queta and Garza at C. Wouldn't mind Bassey as backup though – his rebounding and activity around the rim looked very impressive in game 1 at least.
I'm not a Smart fan and he's always injured(as he's gotten older). He's definitely past his prime. Not a good move for The C's to try to get him!
Bassey will make the team. Him and Qeta at C. Garza more of a big 4 since he doesn’t play D.
They need bigs… Bassey/Queta, Garza/Tillman/Niang. Williams on a 2-way or in Maine.

Center by Committee, led by Queta who's earned it. Our young guys are better, cheaper, have more upside and potential than Smart. Looking forward to this year, even with expected results. Could be a great spoiler team. Lots of young high IQ players with chances to crack a primetime roster.

Bassey is head and shoulders better than anything the celts have. He’s been injury prone, that’s it.
Queta has had time. He’s the third string center. Bassey has come under the raider and superior.
I don’t think it’s realistic to avoid the tax entirely. I think they will have to take losses on their assets if they go for that. I also don’t see when they would achieve the 2nd year under the tax to actually get out of repeater . You have 2 Supermax guys , you will have to pay some tax
I just don’t see how we make the cap space for bassey . We are already struggling to get under the second apron and might have to cut JD because Brad was extremely brilliant and decided to sign Tillman to a two-year deal and guarantee it but not Luke. . In Brad we trust.. but Anyways.. I heard people say wave and stretch Tillman that still doesn’t get you enough money to sign Bassey that only saves you about one and a quarter million. A vet minimum for Bassey would be around 2.2 million. Even if we waved JD and wave and stretched Tillman we would still be over the second. This might be a bit of an overreaction. I feel like queta could’ve easily done the same thing in summer league. But I just don’t see a path to getting him unless we are willing to embrace the second apron but if that is the case then why did we just get rid of two guys that were really good in order to get under the second apron?
What is the path to getting Bassey? I believe in order to make that happen. We would need to trade someone. unless Bassi would take a two-way. Then unfortunately SHULGA might be on the chopping block.
In reference of Bassy being the resulution to filling the gap I believe.
I remember him in college. Undersized to play center in the NBA but consistent.
He needed development and more experience that I believea he has now.
Being that he would be coming off the bench. Foul trouble is the least of my concern. Rebound, play D, and make every shot he can off the glass look easy.
Any day on the job 0-2 from the field. Miss dunk or lay up. And automatic walking papers next call.
Yes I would for him and Loften For whoever left other than Quata or Williams. We need young durable bodies. Loften just has to either think pass first after the Rb or at least 4 for 7 and better. Both are ball Hogs to me. They will get hands on the rock without any hand outs. 😅
Interesting stats from Queta looking back at his two summer league games in 2024. In 24 minutes, he averaged 21 pts, 8.5reb on 64 FG%. :O Had forgotten about how he balled out.
Cut Tillman and sign Charles. Problem solved.
