  1. the scare part of silver's comments were that they he umprompted brought up a new arena. and coupled it with preference…

  2. I visited the Moda Center last year for a Blazers game game and nothing shows that the team needs a new arena. Remodel and update yes, but not a new arena. The Moda Center is a great arena and if a larger scale renovation is done to it I could see the Moda Center being used for an another 20-30 years.

  3. I donโ€™t think residents of Seattle want to take the Blazers from the city. Seattle wants their own team and residents donโ€™t want to see another city go through what they had to go through. Besides it would be better for the NBA to keep a Team in Portland and add one to Seattle because of travel and the added benefit of creating a marketable rivalry between Seattle and Portland.

  4. If thought about the possibility of the city doing with the VMC what Seattle did with Key Arena and gut the entire building and keep the roof intact. But with that you run into the problem of space and cost and at that point it almost seems worth to just build a new arena intirely.

  5. Fyi Sean Highkin, who asked Adam Silver the question, said he is still โ€œvery unworriedโ€ about the Blazers relocating. I hate that moving is even a possibility, but it still seems very very unlikely.
