The Spurs DYNASTY for the NEXT DECADE!?
Gotta say Spurs fans, that is one fine looking Spurs team right there. What is up San Antonio Spurs fans? Welcome to TSR Sports. Got a question for you. Could this be the Spurs starting lineup in five years? I know, I know. TSR, what are you doing? Let’s talk about now, not the long term. But I was playing around with this thumbnail yesterday, thinking about the Spurs next dynasty. Is this the lineup? And then oddly enough, Miss TSR Miss TSR sent me an article from Fadeaway World about building as opposed to win now. Building as opposed to win now. So, I’ll talk about the lineup in the future, but let’s get into this article first, which has a nice quote from Webby. As teams across the league race to stockpile elite veteran talent, Victor Wbeyama wants his squad to make more of a patient and methodical approach with their roster construction. Breaking up a young core for a single player rarely works than WHMY via Le Kip. Did I get it that time? I want the Spurs to be a balanced team. They’ve been masters of that in the past. Indeed, the modern game has popularized the concept of star stacking, meaning one team with multiple allNBA level players, which is probably why we saw the new CBA come and say, “Knock it off.” Over the years, we’ve seen teams like the Heat, Warriors, Nets, and Suns utilize this trend to varying degrees of success. Very varying for the Nets and Suns in particular. Trading for a star that was one of the big ones. Yes, Bradley deal also with the Suns. I think the Nets also traded for James Harden. But nonetheless, trading for a star is what ultimately put them in the bleak state that they are in. Indeed. Unlike most stars in his position, Wby is not putting any added pressure on his team to secure a deal for elite level talent. Although you might argue Darren Fox, but I don’t know if was pushing for the Fox trade. I don’t remember hearing things about that. I digress. As the franchise centerpiece, he’s already influencing the team’s philosophy philosophy. But he’s also got enough sense to prioritize a strong and stable foundation over any risk or flashy trades. WBY’s mindset is rare for a player of his caliber and age. high basketball IQ. While many young stars pressure the teams to win fast, Webby is thinking like a true franchise cornerstone, willing to sacrifice instant results for something more sustainable for our Spurs. His voice carries weight and it could be the guiding principle as they build toward contention the right way. All right, let’s talk about this. And I love, you know, I love everything I’ve heard from WH regards to that lake interview. And I sure you know some of you said TSR, what do you want him to say? Well, yeah, the answers are expected, but they’re still the right answers. There are players that give the bonehead answers, and that is clearly not our guy. As far as looking at this lineup, though, you might first be saying, TSR, where is Dear Fox? I think he’s going to be too expensive five years from now. And isn’t the long-term goal for the back court to being Dylan Harper and Stefon Castle? I think Fox plays with next year with us the fir or last year of his contract and then I see him maybe getting a three-year extension. That’s when all the other big contract, you know, Cal is gonna have for extension then. So, the big bigger contracts going to start rolling in for these guys. So, I think Fox may not be a part of the team at that point, but maybe it will. Hey, if it works out, great. If not, so be it. And I know there’s going to be the comments. I’m ready. Why TSR is so hand in the thumbnail? Why do you get rid of him, trade them, blah blah blah? I know he’s got some deficiencies in his game as a lot of our players do on a roster if we’re being honest, but I want to see him succeed. I want to see him succeed because when I look at this lineup, one thing that I immediately love is this is all homegrown talent. These are all lottery picks from left to right. Castle drafted fourth. Bryant Castle drafted 14th. WY drafted first. Harper drafted second. And Sohan drafted ninth. That’s I love building a team that way. And when I look at this team, the first thing that pops out in my mind is holy defense, Batman. First, you got WHMY who’s claiming to be probably a reigning defensive player of the year many times over. You got Jeremy Sony who’s proved that he is a terrific defender and oftentimes guarded the best offensive player on the other team. Then Carter Bryant, granted limited sample size, has already shown us he might end up being a worldclass defender in a year or two, maybe now. We’ll see. Um, it’s against summer league guys, so I don’t want to get too excited, but he has shown he might be an absolute legit defender, maybe an all-NBA defender as well. Castle certainly knows Sloucher is only going to get better, and Harper’s shown some he’s shown some potential there as well. So, this defensive lineup, if it’s cooking and reaches the potential, I do think it will, this could be a top three defense in the NBA with these guys. As far as offense, no rim should be safe as every one of these guys here can score in the paint. We have some terrific above the rim finishers as well with, of course, women being ridiculous because he’s 7 foot forever. As far as concerns with our future dynasty, of course, the big thing that jumps out is the three-point shooting. WBY is getting better at the three-point shot. Going to be a high volume three-point shooter. When I look at the rest of the guys, I have a whole lot of question marks. Bryant was a good three-point shooter in college, was he not? Like 37%. Maybe a little more. Drawing a blank on his actual number, but he has clearly not adjusted yet to the NBA three. Harper’s shown potential in three-point land, but hasn’t quite achieved it in a little bit. We’ve seen it. I know sample small sample size. Castle, terrible three-point shooter last season, but we see he’s putting the work in with the guard whisper. So’s been a bad three-point shooter his whole career, but at least we are seeing in his training videos that weird hitch is pretty much almost gone. So, there is potential if all these guys can get to their potential, and yet he’s potential because they’re all young. We have two rookies, one player that’s going in year two, one player that’s going to year three, and one player that’s going into year four. They’re all, I believe, 22 or less. I think so the oldest will be 22 this season. This is a very very young core. So there’s a lot of time to develop. Obviously we don’t want to we don’t wait five six seven eight nine years for them to develop but you get there’s time to develop. Here’s thing I kind of think about when I look at this lineup Spurs fans is do we have enough size with this lineup. Wendy’s of course a giant so power forward 68ish. I think that’s big enough. And I think Brian’s certainly going to be going big enough at the three of just I think he’s just under 67, but he’s got a good wingspan. And I think our back court was certainly big enough with Castle and Harour. I think we’re going to have just enough size. There might be lineups that we struggle with size-wise, but there’s also going to be lineups that we’re going to be mismatched. So, I think we have just enough size. And then the long-term question moving way ahead is will the Spurs be able to pay everybody? One caveat with high draft picks is their rookie contracts are larger to start than than lower picks, but they’re only going to get bigger as time progresses. WMY’s got a big contract coming up. Then you’re going to have Castle follow. Someone’s got an extension we’re waiting on right now. And then eventually Harper and Bryant will be up for extension, too. So, that’s going to be probably my biggest concern is keeping this core together. Can they make it work financially or are we going to see guys pull, you know, a Tom Brady, a Tim Duncan, etc. where they’re, okay, I’m eligible for 45 million here, but to make it into the, you know, make this work and we’re winning, you know, I I’ll take I’ll settle for 40 million or whatever it may be. But I am really excited. I I hope I truly do that this is a championship roster in less than five years. I’m being honest, but uh I’m excited for the future. We have a lot of young talent. We still have all those future draft picks and swaps we can use. And I’m not forgetting about for those of you that are fans of Decel and Kell Johnson when Devon’s contract is up if he’s still a Spur at the end of that contract because we don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t see the Spurs resigning him. He’ll be too expensive and obviously they’re they’re moving towards this direction. Kelvin, who the heck knows? And then there could be other players that are still here, not here. But this I think just as a Spurs fan on his couch, this is the hopeful starting lineup for the franchise in the future. If it doesn’t work out, maybe they go somewhere else going another direction, but I think I think this is it. I wish them all well. Wish them all luck. And to any of the guys currently on the roster, whether you’re here for another year, five years, whatever it may be, I hope they all kill it, too. Playoffs next season. Playoffs. Playoffs. Playoffs. And championship in I don’t think it’ll be this season. The following season got a little too early. Definitely by year five. We better have a championship by year five. That’s otherwise we’re doing something wrong. That’s all I got. I’m starting to ramble at the end. Drop a comment down below. Do you see this as well as the Spurs dynasty? Is this the five that will carry the torch of the of greatness that’s been laid by David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Mano Jolie, and others? Is this it, Laur TSR? No way. I have a feeling he’s going to be the one that’s pointed out the most. But please be kind to Jeremy in the comments. We be kind. Please rewind. That’s all I got. Like, comment, subscribe. Thank you. And as always, go Spurs go. I stay.
The San Antonio Spurs have superstar Victor Wembanyama and an amazing young core around him: Jeremy Sochan, Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper and Carter Bryant. Can the Spurs turn their rebuild into a playoff run next season? Are we about to see the Spurs SECOND dynasty?

Spurs fans, do you think we have all the core guys for our next dynasty? Thanks for watching and GO SPURS GO!

I like this idea!
I like what I am seeing! But let’s win one first before people call us a next dynasty
Read up on Cam Boozer for next draft. The guy had a 4.9 GPA in high school. Is basically a mathematician. Sounds likes a Spurs player. Too bad hes going top 3.
If Mitch can't get this team to the playoffs, he needs to go. I'm excited about the future GSG!
Every spurs video i watch im waiting for vassell to be traded
Might just be one of the most insane defensive lineup ever.
If you want this 5 for the future, need to be a loooot of 3 points shooting improvement .
I remember a reporter asking Kawitter if he wanted to stay with the spurs his entire career. Kawitter responded, "for sure". Actions speak louder.
Exciting! And it makes for good content, but of course we know we're getting ahead of ourselves. As fans, we're allowed. GSG!
Btw, it's "Lay Keep" and means "the team", similar to Spanish equipo. You can impress Wemby next time you talk with him.
I love this lineup. The defense would be insane! I think the shooting improvement of this crew will determine if this will be a dynasty or not.
I just want to see a happy healthy season from everyone, the wins will come Id love to see these players thrive in a winning position. We must end the playoff drought with style!
So this article is saying trading for a star like Giannis would ruin Spurs dynasty
Spurs to win 45-50 games 💪🏿😤
The okc is going to be tough to beat because SGA trips his way to a ring every day. Its a guaranteed 1.2 points every time he wants it
Could Carter Bryant and Jeremy Sochan be replacements for Keldon Johnson and Jeremy Sochan
TSR while you hope Spurs have a title by Wemby year 5 no mention of injury concerns and everyone having to stay healthy especially Victor
I know Ricky Lombardo and Ron Jambo won’t be kind to Jeremy Sochan and assign him to their boot camp as they would rant and rage at his performance in Spurs games
I think Fox is gonna stay with us and you know eventually decide to come off the bench say like five years
Great video Rich! I think the fact that Fox is so underrated as a defender will prove to be a mistake for other squads.
He is t getting the respect he should. IMHO I think k it’s due to his lack of production over the last few months of last season when he joined SAS. We need to remember in 2023 Fox led all players in steals. I NEVER hear that mentioned, it’s only, Fox was once a clutch player. I think Fox stays for quite some time. You can never have too much talent. As far as contacts go, I can guess that most of the homegrown Spurs will opt to take a lesser contract to stay in SA and to keep the band together. Like Brunson but on steroids, Wemby will be the first ever Super Max eligible player to turn down a super max and instead make sure his team is all compensated. He’s about the legacy not the money. Plus, off court Vic has the potential to out earn LBGM. His endorsements alone will be enough. I wouldn’t be surprised if Wemby left of 150 Mil on the table. In fact I know he will. Again, VDub1 is about Legacy not monetary gain. Just my best guess after listening to the man speak over the last 2-3 years.
Probably the most developed bball iq for a 3rd player in history.
That's why they should have traded Vassell or fox because they are not a part of the future….and also not playoff savvy veterans! Such salary shouldn't be wasted on players who don't really make a difference in the w/l column. They young "core" needs playoff experience. Can't keep missing the playoffs and think you're gonna be a championship team. Really blowing this window of having a cheap wemby. He's gonna have little playoff experience because they wanted to hang on to Vassell and not adjust off fox after you secured Harper. Need. A higher end SF or PF…with playoff experience. Durant was the trade that needed to be had. Short term impactful star that catapults you to playoff contention.
Jeremy Sochan will be the weak link. He is smaller than Bryant Carter. He is too small for 4 and too slow for 3. Spur need a good PF to compete for champion.
We are a dynasty! And how many titles?? That's the bigger question
"Breaking up a young core for a single player rarely works," Wemby…. I want to win championships, but I also want to be relevant and sustainable. While being patient like Wemby is indicating. Good for him GSG!!!!!
No TSR I don't see Jeremy fitting into a roll with the Spurs unless he makes a big jump in shooting percentage. Yes I give him that he's good defender but that's about all he is good at right now and if he doesn't make a big jump I don't see him starting and maybe not be on the team in 5yrs.
Like you said we have lots of draft picks and Jeremy could go the way of Malaki and Blake.
I think the current financial restrictions makes it tougher on teams to stay together for long term. If all our pieces play well people are going to want to get paid. I could see Wemby taking a team friendly deal. He is a monk after all.
I hope Wemby takes a page out of David Robinson and Tim Duncan book and takes less pay so he can surround himself with good players.
I predict anywhere between 45-55 wins next season. The lower figure will happen if Mitch is incapable of maximizing our talent with his questionable rotations. The upside is if he has competent rotations along with Wemby and Foxx being a dynamic duo to minimize pressure off of the Castles, Harpers, Sochan, and Bryants. I didn't say Keldon nor Vassell because I'm hoping they are traded by the deadline
Let's put the lineup to the test
See, I didn’t grow up in the age of fantasy sports, where everyone gets to play owner/gm. Looks like a fun pastime, but I’m happy to wait and see. Who knows, you may grow to love Fox and what he brings to the team. Everyone seems ready to push him out the door now that we have Harper.
😨🤣😂NO, none (including Wemby) can shoot above league average. Horrible lineup, could work… 20 years ago… but not in 2025…
