Portland Trail Blazers TRADE Jrue Holiday To The Miami Heat? | NBA Trade Rumors

So, could the Portland Trailblazers be trading away Drew Holiday to the Miami Heats this 2025 NBA off seasonason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from Fadeaway World.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Miami Heat receiving Drew Holiday and the Portland Trailblazers receiving Terry Roier, Keshaw Johnson, a 2030 first round pick and a 2032 second round draft pick. So, with Drew Holiday getting traded a couple weeks ago now to the Portland Trailblazers for Anthony Simons, there’s no guarantee that he starts the season wearing Portland Trailblazers colors. Like, we saw this happen a couple years ago uh when he was traded away uh to the Blazers. Then he was rerouted over uh of course to the Celtics. And how did that work out uh for Drew Holiday and the Celtics? Pretty good. So, this could very well be a 2.0 of that. Like Drew Holiday probably doesn’t want to play in Portland. Now, is he going to be stuck there if he if no one wants to trade for him? Absolutely. And he could be a pretty cool fit in Portland. But for whatever reason, if he’s unhappy or the Blazer looking to reroute him, I do think a team like the Miami Heats do make quite a bit of sense in my opinion uh to acquire the veteran point guard. Now, Drew Holiday is a little bit expensive, but there is a lot of pressure on this Heat front office uh to make some moves this off season, get back to the playoffs next year because last year was more or less a disappointing season for them. So, they already made the pretty big-time trade for uh Norman Powell. That’s a good move for them. If they want to establish a one-two punch in their back court of Drew Holiday and Tyler Hero, this is a pretty good move if you ask me. Like getting rid of Terry Roier’s contract, good move for them. Uh Keshaw Johnson, a first round draft pick, which is a little bit sketchy, don’t get me wrong, uh five years down the road in a second round draft pick for a team in Miami whose fan base wants to win a championship now with sort of how wide open the Eastern Conference is next year. I think getting Drew Holiday makes a ton of sense. It’s like offensively speaking, Tyler Herro is an upgrade. Uh but defensively speaking, Drew Holidayiday is a bit of an upgrade for them. And if they’re able to pair those two guys together in their back court alongside Norman Powell and of course um you know, Bam Adobio, this could be a really fun team to watch next year. And Drew Holiday has championship experience winning a championship on the Bucks and the Celtics. Could he go for a third one in Miami? I’m not going to say it’s going to happen, but if they’re able to add a defensive, you know, anchor, a defensive presence like Drew Holiday to the group, that’s a step in the right direction if you ask me. And if you’re a Miami Heat fan, I’m sure you would love the addition of this guy to the franchise. But, uh, yeah, if I had to pick a winner this deal, I’m going to go with the Miami Heat acquiring Drew Holiday. But, as always, leave your thoughts.
