Will Jonas Valančiūnas ever “commit” to Denver: PHD Reacts!

Will Jonas Valančiūnas ever “commit” to Denver: PHD Reacts!

Well, I you know, I was wondering, did they ask him and said, could you just reach out to him and ask him to tweet something, but he’s excited. Yeah, I would love that. You know, Scott, it it’s funny. I don’t want to get in a fight with you already, but the more I thought about those comments that Jonas Valuda said on Monday when he reported to the uh Lithuanian national team camp and his comments when he was asked about being a Denver Nugget, he said, “When I’m sure I will talk about everything, uh you’ll be the first to know for sure. I’ve been to Denver. I’ve played there.” Yeah, I’ve been there. Scott was kind of yelling you on TV last night. Oh, was he? Was he subtly? Well, that that’s cool. Well, I’d love to hear I do. I would too. What did I You know what you said? You said you go there’s some people that you know want him to do. You said that on TV. Oh, did I really? Listen, I’m going to tell you the dude’s flat out irritated me now. He is. He’s flat out irritated me. It’s it’s it’s it’s one thing at the beginning. Okay. It’s It’s one thing to have an opinion. Maybe you want to go back to Greece, whatever. But look, man, it’s over. The trade’s done. Okay. The trade is done. You are a Denver Nugget. And if you’re not happy to be here at this point, like whatever. You’re irritating me now. Do you not believe in what John Wallace just said? Should I talk to him? He’s excited to be joining us. I I I believe what the man said himself. I I I I believe Yeah. I would I would much more trust what the words that came out of Yonas’s mouth himself. Yeah. I mean, it’s a direct quote from the dude. Yeah. Hey, Allan, how about cut uh number three there? And that’s kind of the last thing they they really did about Valentinis. play cut number three there, Wallace on who Valenus has been talking to, right? I mean, guys know how important he is to to what we want to do in terms of success. He’s been, you know, great in the whole situation, like I said. So, I mean, he’s touched base with different a couple different guys and we all feel pretty good about it. Yeah, we good. Okay, we are because Yonas doesn’t appear to be good yet. Well, Tenzer said we’re good. Wallace said we’re good. Scott on the broadcast with Marlo and Vic said we’re fine. Um there’s not a lot of people out there that are a little are worried about Valenunis at this point. Okay. Worried about him being a Denver Nugget is not my concern. When we say we’re good, I agree. We’re good. He’s a He’s a Denver Nugget. We’re good. We control his rights. We’re good. We’ve got the contract and he has to play for the Denver Nuggets. There’s no way around this thing. We’re good. If that’s what we’re talking about, what I’m talking about is the dude is irritating me that he doesn’t want to be here. To support your your claim a little bit, you know, when the Melo stuff was going on, Scott, you know, Carmelo never came out and like just said openly, I want to be out of here. But everybody knew he did. And during that time, he never ever said, I want to stay here either. He was just kind of, you know, milktoast on the whole thing. Yeah. I thought he said one time he he had asked for a trade. Somebody asked him that and then but he never brought it up after that. Correct. He he didn’t he didn’t he didn’t play like a dog. He didn’t, you know, he played good. He didn’t he didn’t pout and all that type of stuff. But everybody still knew he knew everybody knew he didn’t want to be here. That supports your point there, Tyler, a little bit, I think, is that we all knew how he really felt without him ever saying it. Cuz he never did say anything to the contrary either. He never came out. He could have easily done that. Carmelo said, “Hey, listen. Enough of that. I want to be a Nugget.” You know, he didn’t say that either. Well, and and here’s what it comes down to for me. I honestly believe the dude truly in his heart of hearts wants to be in Greece. That that’s what I believe because you got traded. You didn’t you didn’t get traded to Washington. You got traded to the Denver Nuggets. Okay? You got the Denver freaking Nuggets. And with the off seasonason that we just had, if you’re not excited about that, then I do believe in his heart of hearts where he really wants to be is in Greece. That’s what I believe. And I don’t think it’s nec I think you can take the word Greece out and just put probably eight or 10 or 12 different places in there. Oh, that’s fine. I I think he’s looking at and if you go back and look at his career, he’s always been the man and the starter and the the center and the, you know, the guy. Mhm. He knows coming here. He ain’t he ain’t the guy. And what do we talk about? Who’s the quarterback? We talked about a little while ago, we said he’s got uh Kirk Cousins, he’s violent when he gets it into his own head. Okay, I can be a backup. He can do it another six, seven years. We talked about, right? That that may be Valenunis right now. He’s still in that gray area of man, but I think I’m still a starter. So it may take him a week or two before he gets, you know, your jump up. Would you rather be a starter in Greece or would you rather be a backup and win a world championship in Denver? But that’s the age-old question. Would you rather be the the big fish in a small pond or the small fish in a big pond? If I’m Mason Plumbley, I probably want to be in Denver. If I’m from Lithuania, I may prefer to be in Greece. I mean, it’s it it’s all the eye of the beholder. Who knows? Well, why did Mason Plumbley want kind of get get a chance to get out of here? He wanted a chance to start, of course. Right. But now we all know Mason probably best as a backup center. I remember when Brady Quinn, who I really liked, I thought Brady was a cool dude and he just wanted a shot to start. And if he wanted to just accept being a backup, Brady Quinn may still be playing in the NFL, but he wanted a chance to start. So, he took an opportunity to go to the Chiefs where he did get that chance to start. And guess what? Brady Quinn, as good-looking as he is, is not a quality starting quarterback. Still a good looking guy. Oh, had a body of a Greek god, though. Speaking of Greece, he he’s the only guy I ever saw do um left-handed drop backs because his wanted to have an asymmetrical frame. Listen, ladies and guys, if you want to see a dude with a shirt off in the locker room that looked good, my guy Brady Quinn, he uh he used to come on our show all the time because he and I guess he and Ryan played together at Notre Dame or Okay, crossass cross pass somewhere in there. There you go. But as soon as he had that chance to be the starter, hey, listen, I give him credit for giving it a shot, it just didn’t really work out. Valentunis is not in that I don’t know. He could start in Greece. He could he could probably get some more time with the Wizards if he went back there. Um, you know, there’s other lousy lousy team, but here’s here’s Phoenix, but I still think it takes it takes a mindset of a guy’s used to being the man and now all of a sudden, you know, I mean, DJ did it. I’ll tell you this. The longer he goes without saying something about No, he But here’s the deal. Raw nuggets, it’s it’s it’s open for conversation. He actually has said something. I gota and and and and it’s not I’m excited to be in Denver. And I agree with you. The So, it’s not that it’s not that he’s just sitting there in silence. It’s not like we’re waiting for him to tweet something or say something like Scott keeps talking about. No, the dude has said something and and it is clearly not. But again, I I’m not taking any stock on that. It was Monday. the thing wasn’t until Sunday. We don’t know about the time. Was he informed? Did he know the deal was finalized? It it there could be a whole lot of issues. Now, it probably needs to go another day or two. Somebody should ask him, you know, now I would say, “Hey, now that we know that the deal is done and final, what are your thoughts?” Here’s all here’s all I know at this point. I mean, I’m not calling him a sewer rat like Mo or whatever he called him, but he’s irritating me. He is. Yeah. At this point, it’s stuck in your crawl and can’t ever let him out, can you? Uh, I’m ready for the dude to either want to be a nugget or not. But you answer my question. You do you get things just naturally get stuck in your crawl and you Well, when you get irritated, do you get over it super easy, Scott? Yeah. Oh, you do? I try not to get irritated. Yeah, you do. Yeah. As long as I’m not having to plunge a toilet. Are you sure about that? Yeah. Really? Yeah. I’m good. Okay. You lying. I’m almost I’m almost done with this cup. Thank you very much. Uh,

Tyler can’t let go of the fact Jonas isn’t ready to commit fully yet. Despite the reports from the Nuggets personnel, Tyler wants actions from Jonas himself! Scot and DMac try to talk him off the ledge but Tyler just wants it understood that either you want us or you don’t. The mind games can’t continue!
