So, could the Portland Trailblazers be trading away Robert Williams to the Boston Celtics this 2025 NBA off season? So, this trade is not going to break the bank or, you know, break news waves whatsoever. Like, it’s not a blockbuster deal by any stretch, but this trade is somewhat intriguing because of the history that Robert Williams has with the Celtics team, for one, but also two, the Celtics making yet another move this off season. So, the Celtics, I guess, would in theory be getting back the best player in Robert Williams. uh Celtics fans, the organization knows him pretty well uh back in his, you know, time with Boston. But what he s like it’s just too much of a risk for me because you’d be trading for a player that is quite injuryprone. Now, defensively speaking, he’s a good improvement to this group. I think next year without Horford not in the mix, especially they could use some help in their front court. And it does make some sense from like a basketball perspective, but Robert Williams just in regards to his health is just too much of a risk to me. uh this team’s already, I would say, not as deep as they were last year, uh and trading away Sam Hower and some other assets as well. Doesn’t really help that regard. So, if Robert Williams was guaranteed to be healthy, play like 60 70 games in a season, then yeah, I’d make this trade, you know, no questions asked. But, uh for the Blazers, Robert Williams, I would see I would say at this point, is a negative asset because of his health and his durability. So, for those reasons, I think the winner of this deal to me would be the Portland Trailblazers, just because you’re getting rid of an injury-prone player, an asset that is depreciating, plus getting back some good assets for him. Just in regards to depth and draft capital, that’s better than nothing in my personal opinion. Despite the upside being, you know, I would say pretty high for Robert Williams. Is it going to happen? I don’t think so in my opinion. So, I think the Blazers win this deal, but as always, leave your thoughts.
