MASSIVE LeBron James TRADE To The Dallas Mavericks? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the Los Angeles Lakers be trading away LeBron James to the Dallas Mavericks this 2025 NBA off seasonason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from bleacherreport.com. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself. But this trade would see the Dallas Mavericks receiving LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Kyle Anderson, Daniel Gaffford, Naji Marshall, Klay Thompson, PJ Washington, and a 2029 first round draft pick. That is actually their own first round draft pick. And the Utah Jazz receiving Jared Vanderbilt, Philly’s 2032 second round draft pick and a 2032 second round draft pick. So, if this were to happen, this would be a blockbuster deal nonetheless. Now, there has been some speculation about LeBron James being dealt this off season. There actually has been one report that I’ve seen numerous times now that the Dallas Mavericks are the only team that are somewhat interested in a LeBron James trade, and this could actually make a lot of sense. Now, first and foremost, LeBron has some buddies on the Dallas Mavericks roster. Uh, he of course has former teammate Kyrie Irving, who he won a championship with back in Cleveland. He has Anthony Davis, who was traded, of course, for Luca Donuch. who won a championship with him back in 2020. LeBron loves those guys and LeBron finishing off his career in Dallas, especially now with Cooper Flag in the mix now. Uh Derrick Lively coming back from Intri, etc. This could be a really good group. Now, the Western Conference is fairly stacked, but LeBron James going to Dallas playing, you know, with Jason Kid, who he actually has some good respect for. From designation standpoint, this is make this makes a lot of sense. Now, I find it a little bit hard to believe that Rob Plinka and Nico Harrison will come together and make a trade of this magnitude. But, if LeBron puts the puts the Lakers in a pretty tough spot, saying, “I’m not going to be with you guys beyond this year. Trade me to Dallas or else it kind of handcuffs Rob Plinko a little bit.” And this could be a good opportunity for Nico Harrison to kind of get back and get the Dallas Mavericks fans back in his good books. Now, from the Lakers perspective, they’re getting a lot, but they’re not really getting a ton of value here in my personal opinion. like Kyle Anderson, good stretch wing. He can shoot the ball pretty well. Daniel Gaffford, good front, good big man. Naji Marshall, same thing. Klay Thompson, you know, that’d be kind of cool for him going to the Lakers with what his dad did, but he’s not the player that he once was. PJ Washington and the first round draft pick of their own. It’s always nice to get back your own draft picks, but you’re just kind of adding a lot of bodies to the mix. But if you’re Luca Donuch, you’re familiar with some of these players, perhaps this could be a good thing for them. And the Utah Jazz are just more or less here to make the trade kind of work. They’re getting kind of a broker’s fee here uh by getting Vanderbilt’s good 3 and D guy and a couple second round draft picks. So, if I had to rank this trade, I’m going to go with the Mavericks one, probably the Jazz 2, and the Lakers three. But as always, leave your thoughts.
