Embiid knows who leaked the 76ers team meeting 🤔
Do the 76ers realize Joel Embiid is their franchise player? Because it doesn’t feel like it based on the revelations from this new piece. To start, when he got to Philadelphia, he had a broken bone in his foot and his rehab was overseen by an intern. No wonder it took him 2 years to recover from that injury and he faced a lot of backlash for that as well. Then this past season, there was a closed- dooror team only meeting after a 2-1 start where Embiid was kind of criticized for showing up late at team events, possibly dragging some team chemistry down, but the details of that closed door meeting ended up leaking to the media. And it sounds like Embiid knows which player leaked it and that player might still be on the roster kind of against Embiid’s wishes. And he even claims now he won’t take part in closed door team meetings anymore. Trust was a big theme in this article and it feels like there’s a constant conflict between Embiid’s inner circle and the 76ers when it comes to things like injuries and recovery time, playing it safe verse playing hurt. Overall, from Embiid’s point of view, it feels like he’s not getting the stereotypical superstar treatment from the 76ers that we’ve become accustomed to hearing

Nah embiid is gonna start faking injuries like ben simmons
Come to the warrios
The 76ers only pretend to be serious about winning.
You don’t get superstar treatment when you don’t show up to work. And I love Embiid’s game 🤷🏽♂️. Can’t expect to show up when you want and still be respected. It doesn’t work like that in any industry.
Was it maxey?
The only player i can see leaking it bc he thinks he ranks above or knows better than Embiid is Kyle Lowry since he’s won a championship with Nick Nurse and might be his eyes and ears in the locker room
I wouldn't trust embid either he chose team USA over his country and we all know he ain't American he just wanted something to look back into his career
Bro can play 10 games and feel like he not getting the superstar treatment all while make millions of dollars to sit
This is what this loser worries about.. smh
Man if i was the 76's I would be considering trading him while he still has some value
PG probably leaked it
eric Gordon
It’s tough to be the franchise player when you hardly play
Nah man we dont wanna hear all that embiid stuff we good on that
Honestly the day the chose Tobias Harris over Jimmy butler, it was over. Dude is way too good to be wasting whatever’s left of his career there
Trade Embiid for Giannis. Neither guy is happy with his team!!!
Do NOT blame the Sixers problems on PG as their problems go all the way back when Jimmy Butler was upset about being traded. Embiid needs to go and the rest of the team knows it!!!
Why everyone defending Joel? He was being lazy if he was skipping team events
All this damn crying show up in the playoffs and shut the hell up
Come to the lakers buddy
Ummm, would you want embid as you franchise player at this point?
Joel always comes off so whiny and like he takes zero accountability.
I feel like Eric Gordon is the snitch 💀😂
Y'all still remember that this guy won MVP right?
Just retire man.
wtf Joel is a dam diva. They paid him a on a brand new deal knowing he gets hurt. And he’s complaining about meetings???? Lmao are you serious 😂😂😂
hes embarrassing the game
yall hate on this man so much cus he’s injury prone, but when derrick rose when injury prone and played like shit “oh he’s the biggest what if” joel embiid is the 2nd best player in the league and a better player than d rose could’ve ever been
Won MVP 2 years ago.. feels like 2 centuries ago
Dude has never played a full season and is always worse in the playoffs. If embiid is your "franchise player," pencil yourself in for maybe getting to the conference finals at best. Its not bad, but if youre trying to win titles, embiid isnt that guy.
What’s amazing is he kept his frame to 280 lbs
I bet its oubre. Dude just seems like a snake
76ers suck as an organization
While some of this criticism of Joel is fair, a lot of the people in this comment section probably didn't bother reading the article.
“When he got to Philadelphia he had a broken bone in his foot and his rehab was overseen by an INTERN!!!”
How can anyone hear that and still continue to blame the player and not the organization! People are soo slow man 😂😂 they only want to say what they hear other people say and not be open minded or think for themselves
Franchise players have to actually play. So no, he's not a franchise player. He's a bench warmer/cheerleader.
