The biggest takeaways from Cam Johnson’s first press conference as a Denver Nugget | DNVR Nuggets
Hey. Hey. Hey. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Okay. Hell yeah. I guess what’s going on everybody? Welcome to D podcast. Let’s go. We’re live on a casual Friday uh from the toilet lab by your friend stores. Um, pick up a Toyota today. Nothing casual. You could have won one at the golf tournament this morning if you hit a hole in one. Nobody did, I don’t think. I can report they did not. There were some that were close though. There were some that were close. Um, got a lot to talk about on today’s show. Excited to get into it. I’m Harrison Win. That’s Brennan Vote. What’s up, fellas? Is it Friday? Yes, it is. That’s so fun. It’s crazy how this job kind of day of the week doesn’t game day not day. Game day, press conference, not press conference. Those are my days of the week. Yeah. Uh we did have a press conference today though that uh we will talk about. Also joined by Dline. What’s up? That’s right. I went golfing today. Shot pretty well. Yeah. Hung with the fellas. Uh well that’s fun. Broke my uh sobriety. Oh no. Sorry to hear it. No. No. Was it super fun though? Yeah, dude. I was like I wasted the last month and a half. What the hell was I doing? Don’t feel any better first time. Dude, I just I just am sorry for the time wasted. It’s like I did a dry January and I gained weight. That’s right. I remember that. I was so mad. Yeah. Yeah, that sucks. But this morning, we did have a fun golf tournament out at Broken Tea Golf Course. Uh shout out to everybody who was out there. If you were Dline was playing, I was out there. It was hot as a It was really hot. Yeah, dude. But it was awesome weather. Um and yeah, we had a hole where you could win a Toyota or as Lindsay called it, a Yoda. Yeah, let’s say you got a hole in one. I don’t know if that’s more that she is locked into being short or if she’s locked into being just sort of a country. I never heard that in my life. A Yoda. A Yoda. You could win the Yoda. It’s not a thing. Heard that like 20 times. Definitely not a thing. People were like, “What?” To be clear, especially not from one of our trusted sponsors. Yeah. You were talking about the car. Well, it was obvious because the car was right next to the hole. Okay. So that would be awesome if if you hit it and then you just drove off. You just it just becomes your golf cart at that point. Also, it was the uh the 4Runner with the DMV logo on. Yeah, dude. It was sick. You have to get Do you think you have to keep the logo on there if you win it? No, you get to um but yeah, that was a lot of fun. Before we get to the Cam Johnson presser, we had a summer league game last night and the Denver Nuggets won. We did it. Our long national nightmare is over, dude. Andrew Mson has turned in a two and six campaign over two seasons and we were not there for the postgame show. Perfect. To be to be fair to us, it was very late. No, no, we just you made the joke when we agreed we wouldn’t do that show. You said guaranteeing your first summer league win. You didn’t guarantee it. Here we are together. 8176. Yo, they How did the Clippers get this to a five-point game? The Nuggets were up 20 this whole game, brother. They had a shot to tie or take the lead. That’s right. They almost after being up by 26. They almost blew this game, but um they got the win 8176. The story was Don Holmes 1917 5 and2. Dude, he had a great 19 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, two steals in 30 minutes. He looked the part. He really looked the part. That was the one thing like um monstrous that one it I mean listen I mean numbers mean absolutely number nothing in summer league. It’s just whether or not you look good on the court while getting them. And he looked good. He looked very comfortable. He looked very much as like he was able to do what he wanted out there. And the most important thing is that he looked like he didn’t belong in the be in the best way. Like he didn’t he was too good for summer league which is all you want to see. You want to see the guys that theoretically are too good for summer league be too good for summer league. And he was it was great. What was different about this game for him was he’s been doing a lot of work outside the three-point line. Yes. Throughout summer league so far. He only hit one three in this game. Yeah. He shot eight of 16 overall, seven of 13 from two. And a lot of it was around the rim. And I mean he looked like you say too good for this game. It was almost because he was so big. He was the biggest dude out there by far. Part of that probably had to do with the fact that the Clippers didn’t really play any big men for some reason. I guess they don’t have any or uh the ones that they had didn’t play in this game, but he was just like a manchild out there. He overpowered guys inside. He was kind of a beast in the paint and it was cool to see because it was kind of a switch up from how he’s operated these first few games. I think you could if you were looking to pick Knits in his second game in particular against the Wolves would have started there. maybe got swallowed up by the physicality, the size, probably some conditioning elements in there as well. His second game back in a year, but for him to respond and yeah, Deron Holmes playing at center and played well as a center. Yeah. At 17 rebounds, four offensive rebounds. I thought in the first game he blocked out really well but didn’t get the rebounds and stats to show. himself said it’s like he wasn’t he was focusing on blocking up and actually pursuing the rebounds and I think you could see that and tell in my opinion but all the same nice for him to then go and and fill the stat sheet as well 17 rebounds is no joke and you know regardless of who or who was not on the floor let all rebounders so that’s a big boy performance that was really cool to see and the mo don’t bury the lead that team was undefeated we knocked their perfect campaign out of there dude too and I I may I think I may be mistaken but I think no Nuggets opponent have lost a game in summer. So, I mean, tough schedule. Turns out the Nuggets had the schedule of death. It’s not their fault. Blame it on the schedule. The schedule. Maybe this team’s a lot better than we thought. The schedulers had it out for them again. Yet again, another summer league and they I mean, they put us at 9:00 p.m. last night. Unbelievable. But in the big gym, in the big gym, can you put the Summer Nuggets in a position to succeed? I know. Unbelievable. We got everything going against us. Adam Silver has it out for us still. the conspiracy. The rebounding was interesting though because he did start at center. They didn’t start Tyrell Harrison and I don’t even know if he did he play DNP for Tyrell Harrison. Interesting. But um they start Holmes at center. He looks much more like a big man. You know, the the paints opened up for him there and so that probably helped him get get a lot of rebounds. I I liked how we saw that look though, you know, because he’s played the four pretty much exclusively except for a couple minutes here and there, but I I liked him playing the five and just kind of being able to see him in that mode a little bit. That was a cool switch up. I do think of Holmes as a four, but sometimes fours play five. Yeah. In the NBA, for sure. A little Sesame Street for you there. So, and maybe Holmes will be asked to. I again as we saw in the Wolves matchup I think against legitimate you know sevenfooters and such she may at times be overpowered but you wanted to see him look formidable in the paint look formidable fighting on the glass a and he was able to do that in this game and yeah I mean I I would say size as a as a big is one thing you go okay can he convert to the five if they ask him to so that was encouraging and I would think I would It is cool that they won, but seeing Don play well as a big was probably like at the top of the wish list for sure. That’s the only only thing that matters. That matters for sure. Also, I mean, Spencer Jones had a good game. 17 points, five of nine from three. He was uh he was kind of all over the place and he was he’s uh he’s got a motor, which I like. He’s he’s kind of just like in the mix and he’s a scrappy player. Yeah, he’s a super scrappy player and um that shooting form is insane. It goes in. It’s going in. I can’t Dude, I swear he’s going to break his back at some point. Can you imagine you’re in the G- League and your assistant hands you a scouting report. I know it doesn’t necessarily work. Shows you a scouting report. You’re watching film together and he’s go, “Okay, man. Shooter.” Yeah, shoot her. You’re like, “Hang on.” Laser. That guy, he’s warming up on the other side. He hit like three or four in a I was every time I was like h your coach is like this guy is a runoff and then you see him shoot for the first time you’re like were they talking about Curtis Jones had a great game Curtis Jones but Spencer Jones a shooter and also just five stocks he he’s a he’s an all-around utility man you know he’s he’s good enough to be a reg I’m not going to say regular rotation player with the Nuggets I think he’s good enough to be a I’ll say 11th man right outside the normal rotation. Yeah, man. I think he’s I think he should get a couple minutes most games. Like I wouldn’t have a problem with that. No. Yeah. Like I mean listen like he could spell in like they they could platoon it and he could he could be part of what spells the opposite player of Tim Hardaway. Yeah. He truly um but I mean I think that he’s you know a competent NBA player. I don’t he’s not a a uh liability to put out there. So I I I really like what I saw out of him. Um, and then don’t you feel like there’s teams there’s bad rosters in the NBA? Yeah, Spencer Jones could probably play for you. Yes. I mean, for sure. Like Spencer Jones could play for the Brooklyn Nets. Yes. You know, you should trade him for Michael Porter Jr. That’d be sick. That be a great trade. Uh, EJ Liddell almost got into another fight this night. Yo, EJ’s a little bit of a bruiser, man. Dude, he he just tries to get into fights. Did you see the final his block that he got to Yeah, unbelievable block to like help win the game. It would have they would have tied the game on that dunk and he blocked the guy at the rim. It was un man what what high-flying action. If you’re not watching summer league, this is an insane game. But actually had two insane games. They got walked off in a buzzer beater and then EJ Liddell basically saved the game on a game-winning block where he Yeah, he saved them choking a 20point lead. He absolutely erased the guy. Well, he inherits that that fire from Hunter Tyson, who remember in his first couple of summer leagues, also wanted to fight a lot of people. That was kind of a low-key Hunter Tyson characteristic. Yeah. Yeah. No, he’s um Yeah, he doesn’t. He’s He’s not afraid, man. EG Liddell. I’m I’m very I’m curious. I like uh Are we done? Are we done recapping? You’re intrigued. I’m intrigued because the other player that I was interested by in this game was Curtis Jones. Yeah. The Jones family represented well. Uh that guy can shoot the ball. Yeah, he’s kind of a bucket. That guy’s kind of a bucket, man. He’s good. He’s got some game to him. And he’s got um he’s got range. He also had a couple just great little pick and roll pocket passes to Yes, he did. Yes, he did. He actually had an excellent excellent pocket pass. like he he made a pass that like nobody else has made on the summer league team this this No. And it was and not only that like uh Don Holmes ability to corral it because it was like a it was I mean it was like a Russell Westbrook pass like like it was fast, it was low, it was hard, it was direct, but he was able to corral it and then had a great finish. It was actually like you saw that you’re like whoa that looks like NBA basketball right there. That’s incredible. And then just on a team note, by the way, active hands in the lane, 13 steals as a team. Yeah. For the Denver Nuggets. Everyone was involved there except for Liddell who then got a bunch of blocks or a couple of blocks rather. So yeah. Yeah. A a good win. I bet it feels good for for Mson. Bates for Yes. Jobson. He’s still in Vegas with the team. Bates going 0 for five. Don’t you feel like we watch Bates shoot his shoot his confidence out? Yes. Over the course of these three games? Yeah. I mean, he can’t buy a basketball. Here’s what I’ll say. Here’s what I’ll say about Tamar Bates. Friend of the show. Not friend of the show. Member of the show. Maybe a member of of the panel. Member of the show. He’s on every uh show since we’ve started, but um he is really good defensively. He’s able to stay in front of guys. He’s uh like his he moves really well. He’s a good point of uh point of attack defender. um he’s so passive and we’d heard this knock against him like he just he he’s not looking for a shot and even in summer league like that’s that’s a crazy thing to say about a summer league player like everyone’s looking for their shot in summer league and so you want him to shoot more. Yes, I do. I mean, like you say, he’s not knocking it down, but he is by all rights or we’ve been described to us as a scorer, like coming in with like really impressive shooting splits. Yeah. Um it hasn’t really bared out on the on the summer league court, but I I just I want to see him like engaged. I want to see him like taking a little bit more control. Um because he does to my eye, he does look the part. He does move well. He does have good measurables. He does have he does look the part but the shot just has not fallen but also he’s just not taking him. He’s just like not he’s not engaged in the offense which is bizarre. If you guys had to like a lightning round here had to give the third two-way spot to a player on this roster right now where would you go? I I kind of think I’m looking at Beman. Probably not Beakman. Uh I think I’m looking at Jones. Curtis Jones. I think I’m looking at Curtis Jones to be honest. He’s the one that impressed me the most. I mean, it’s between he and EJ Liddell, and I do like I’m getting like more and more um impressed with what intangible things EJ Liddell brings. Yeah. Um I don’t think wanting to fight his like Yeah. I don’t like if you look at his box score, you’re like, “Okay, whatever.” But um he’s I mean, he he blocks shots. He’s a he’s a rim protector truly. Um he’s mini Paul Milsap. He is Mini Paul Mil. Mini Paul Mil. But I like I don’t know, man. I like Curtis Jones. I’d go Curtis Jones. He’s got some He’s got He’s got some game, man. Like, you look at him and you’re like, “Oh, those are some real NBA point guard skills.” Totally. I The 4U algorithm is so sensitive on X. Yeah. That because of my replies from that press conference, it’s like, “Oh, you want Greek content? Oh, you’re a panathanakos. Yeah. Here you go. You must be. Here’s some Greek culture tweets for you. Anyway, that’s my update. Mediterranean food. It’s like, don’t you also hate the Denver Nuggets? Come to Athens. Uh, you’d give it to I think Curtis just cuz he’s I mean cuz he’s earned it like playwise. Yeah. I don’t know if roster constructionwise it makes the most sense, but Nuggets must have promised like 25 plus minutes to Beakman each game. I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know what’s going on either. like must be the Beakman’s and the Msons must must get together every Thanksgiving. Yeah. Yeah, maybe. Yeah. Interesting. But I mean it was fun to watch the game. I actually enjoyed myself mo mostly because of Don Holmes. Yeah. That it was it was calming to be like he was the most important thing and the and he was the best player on the court for either team easily. Hands down. Yeah. Hunter Tyson didn’t play. I wonder I doubt he’s playing again in summer league. And this was probably the last game for Don, I would think, as well. The Nuggets are in a backto-back. They have another game tonight. I don’t know if you guys It’s against the Lakers at 8:00 p.m. Oh, so it’s going to definitely be on the big court again. Yes. Oh, yeah. We’re back in Thomas and back. Let’s go. Lakers don’t play in Cox Pavilion. No contract. Well, neither do the Nuggets. Actually, might Lakers actually have that in their contract. We do not play in Coxville. Yeah, we were above that. So funny. Um, so yeah, fun game from Drod Holmes. Let’s hit a break and on the other side, we will dive into what we learned at the Cam Johnson press conference. Very excited to get into that. Cam Johnson was at Ball Arena today introduced as a Denver Nugget. He took questions with John Wallace and Ben Tenzer. Both uh co-heads of the front office were there and there was some interesting stuff said um vote. What was kind of one of the big things that you came away from that presser with? Well, before Cam even got up there, he had to take the elevator with me up there. Just amazing timing. That’s happened to me before. incredible time where you’re going up to the presser and you just get on with balone. Hey, hey, are you nervous? Stand crying. And and you know, I thought, all right, we’re just going to pepper him with questions. I don’t want to bother him. Literally the best chance to cidle you’re ever going to get. So, you have to say, “Hey, I’m Brendan. Nice to meet you.” But, you know, the whole time you’re like, “This is this guy just wants this elevator ride to be over.” Let’s move past that, though, because then a press conference happened. Before taking any questions, a brief statement from Ben Tenzer, a statement of gratitude to Michael Porter Jr. He said, “The Nuggets do not win a title without him.” And with that, fellas, we turn the page as the Cam era begins in Denver. Campbell was asked what he’s going to bring to Denver. If he could describe it to the fans, team first mentality, the first words out of his mouth, he said, “My goal is to win. It’s all about win. It’s all about being a adaptable piece for Cam. So, this is a guy, as we’ll see in a couple of of answers later, you know, ego is not a big part, at least in terms of what he wants to present. It’s not baked into his answers at all. I think it’s pretty reflected in his play style as well. We shall see there. Uh Cam did was said that Nuggets fans have been really excited about this trade and he’s noticed that this was cool. Starting all the way back in Arizona where he spent his off season Arizona where there’s an NBA team there, right? Uh in Phoenix, the Suns Devin Booker, Jaylen Greenb, right? Yeah. Ishbia’s team. Well, at this breakfast spot, there was a huge table full of basketball fans. Actually, they were Nuggets fans, guys. They were Nuggets fans. Don’t you love to hear it? And Cam actually described them as quote 10 old people. End quote. Hell yeah. Dude, they’re probably my age. Yep. Sounds like Yeah. Sounds like he’s watching this podcast. Yeah. Like 35 years old. I’m thinking probably then. Okay, fair enough. They he said they were practically shaking. They were so excited about this trade. So before Came even got to Denver, he said he’s been confronted with fans. And did he also like that was really cool? It it seemed like he was kind of taken aback by that. And yeah. Yeah. He he feels embraced already, I think. And that’s interesting because he’s coming from a team in Brooklyn that I don’t think has any fans. See this? Well, they have Mr. Whammy, but the but that’s a cool thing for him to experience. And not only that, like if you think about this, this is the first time he’s the headliner in any kind of move. He’s been traded now twice, but he came as a package and he was probably the third or fourth player considered in the Kevin Durant and you know everybody moving over there and he was just kind of also included and this time like he is really the big piece that everybody’s focusing on. Um so I think that it’s got to be like cool thing for him like he’s he’s really got to feel like he’s coming into a it’s like when Bones like this is what they do when they love you. Oh yeah. They sit your ass on the bench. Yeah, they trade you to the Clippers for two second round picks. Cam was also asked about what’s something in specific that maybe people don’t know about that you think you’re going to bring to this team to a Jokic team and Cam Johnson said relocation. No hesitation on that answer. That’s the first thing he said. He said relocation. Wow. Moving off the ball. Uh he said that’s how I love to play. I think he’s watched some film from last year, maybe. Reading how other guys play and playing off of that, he said, quote, “That’s how I love to play, it’s my favorite kind of basketball.” End quote. And he went on to say that actually in Brooklyn, where Cam was a top option. Cam said he got fewer catch-and shoot looks last year and he’s actually excited to get back to that. So again, just to break that down for a second, rare case of an NBA player going, “Yeah, top option was cool. Can I get more of those catch and shoot looks? The reverse Jeremy Grant. The reverse Jeremy Grant. That’s a perfect way of putting it. Cam Johnson excited to come and step into a role, be a part of an ecosystem that of course all starts with Joic. He knows if I move into an open spot, that guy is going to find me. That’s so awesome to hear because just looking at like the Nets roster from last season, I mean, who was the hub of their offense? Was kind of Cam Johnson, Cam Thomas. Yeah, Cam Johnson and Cam Thomas, those are the answers. And so, yeah, he’s going to get way more open shots here than he did in Brooklyn. He’s going from in a being in a situation where defenses don’t really have to worry about who he’s on the court with to being on the court with Murray, Joic, Gordon, like at a minimum. So, it’s kind of going to be night and day. Bro, I’m so dude, this feels like the perfect It is perfect piece. Like I I just I cannot believe how excited I am for next season. I I really thought that we were just going to do this thing where we like slog through the summer and then we have to convince everyone that internal development is going to be enough to save us. I know. I I wasn’t going to be able to do that. Just FYI, what were you what were you going to say? I’m curious. I was I was going to be anti- internal development. I can’t do it. I’m done developing internally here. Yeah. the last two years. I would say as a squad we our internal development has halted. We our best days are behind us. You think easily? I mean all we’ve done here is develop internally. That’s what I’m saying. We’re not It’s And if you’re looking at a test case like not looking good for the Nuggets if that was their plan. Yeah, man. Just going from being a quote unquote top option to playing next to Yoke, man. It’s going to be such an eye openening experience for him, I feel like. and just the kind of basketball savant that he is and how he talks about the game and reads the game and studies the game. I just feel like it’s like you said it’s as perfect of a fit as you could ever hope for. Yeah. And you know there were unfortunately I’m going with my live notes fellas. We didn’t have time to transcribe going back to back from the presser just to hear. So but there were quotes in there as well about just watching film, studying the game uh and and that’s just the kind of player that he is. He was also asked if he talked to uh Jordy Fernandez in Brooklyn at all about Denver. And he said, “Yeah, of course. Nothing but great things to say, but he actually took the time to shower some praise on Old Nuggets coach and old friend there, Jordy Fernandez, who he says has a remarkably bright future in the league. big fan of the staff in Brooklyn, but he said more importantly that Jordi Fernandez is a big fan of Denver and that they all identified it the same way we did as, let’s be frank, possibly a perfect fit for Cam Johnson. And guys, Cam has done this before, playing a role on a winning team as a lesser option with the Phoenix Suns, the welloiled version of the Phoenix Suns in preKD trade, which of course was the best version of the Phoenix Suns, almost won a title. So, he’s really excited to get back to that. uh his goal is winning. At the end of the day, it’s about winning a championship, he said. And he thinks they have the pieces to do that here in Denver. Some cliche speak also, I think, 100% true in this particular scenario. There were some questions, of course, to the front office about Yonas Valenus. Big Val, big Val. And the front office played ball. They answered those questions. They talked about it today. Uh press conference for Cam Johnson. Certainly a fair amount of time spent on Yonas Valenunis, but of course there are some big and pressing questions in that arena. Tenzor was asked about his communications with Jonas Valunis right now. Here’s the answer. Quote, “Nothing but healthy conversations about him honoring his contract and him excited to be a Denver Nugget.” There was a follow-up question about the timeline of Big Val’s arrival. Of course, Big Val is going to play for team Lithuania, so any timeline of his arrival is a bit TBD as it is right now. Even if there was 100% guarantee that he would come from him today, that of course would still need to wrap up. Watch him get injured. Um, it’s just the whole thing is from is moot. The the Nuggets were pretty vague about the timeline. John Wallace said, “Yeah, hopefully sooner than later. We’re still working on it.” Vague on the timeline, but very very confident about the outcome. There was a follow-up question. Are there any concerns about Yonas Valenunis playing for the Denver Nuggets next season? And Ben Tensor said, quote, “No concerns.” No concerns. End quote. No concerns. Look, there’s a lot of lip service this time of year. I will say it’s certainly a confident choice when you know the agent. You know that this is a really tense situation to say the words no concerns. If you had any concerns, I might be a little more vague. So, I’m taking Ben at his word here. That’s a pretty confident quote to put out on the I’ve only heard very, very confident uh confidence oozing from Ben Wallace’s direction. Yeah. So, Ben Tenzer, again, just to recap, no concerns that Jonas Valentine will play for the Denver Nuggets next season. Still a muddy timeline as he’s with Lithuania. Um but but the Nuggets sound confident that Big Val will in fact be a Denver Nugget. Well, I love it, man. And I and I love that they’ve stayed steadfast in their approach and really haven’t wavered and stayed confident and now are saying that like I mean there’s nothing to hide really. No. And I mean they have they have the high ground here. Yeah. They have the hand. I mean truly like that that’s the thing that you can just come back to is the Nuggets did absolutely nothing wrong. And so Valentunis did something wrong. Yes. So for them to be punished for that uh is not only difficult to swallow, but it’s set a terrible precedent. And so it’s kind of important that um for you know the league as a whole that the Nuggets like don’t bulk at this. Yeah. Just be like whenever you want it’s fine. Last note here from the press or remember Michael Porter Jr. said in in his goodbye video that he and Cam Johnson are actually boys and they’re talking about a house swap. Cam Johnson said that is real. No guarant no guarantees it goes down. But sometimes NBA players do this when traded for each other. Hey man, I got a nice crib. You got a nice crib. Let’s just keep it simple. Sounds like that is possibly in the Am I Am I crazy or like if I had millions and millions of dollars, I would just get my own new place. Well, what’s what’s the appeal of uh not having to get swap? Not having to find a new place. I mean, somebody just does that for you, though. Good point. It’s not like I’m on Zillow just hunting down different tours every day. Fair. It’s all fair. It’s all fair. But you got to think that Michael Porter Jr. probably has a good house. A good living. It’s probably a good living situ. It’s not just like your your guy your top of the four seasons. Yeah. It’s not like your guy when you go to college is like, “Oh, hey man, we we’ve got you could we have a couch. We found it.” You can You’re like, “Yes.” Yeah. Yeah. That’s what you do for me cuz I like dude, I’ll sleep. My friends had a crib in in Brooklyn. A crib apartment in Brooklyn. a lot of dudes in a small but and and you slept in a crib and they would not far off they’d be like we I’ I’d go hang out and party there. They’d be like, “You can stay here, dude.” I’m like, “That’s very kind of you. Where can I stay?” Iron ironing board. Ironing board. No blanket or pillow. So, thank you so much. Wait, what? Ironing board. Couch was taken. Slept on an ironing board. Well, hold on. The ironing board over the floor. I have to I have to know what advantage the ironing board provides. The ironing board standing up slightly elevated. So not standing up. It was not standing up on the ground. But here’s the ground was so dirty. What? The ground was so dirty that building got condemned that I climbed on top of the of the the irony. Okay. So it’s just like the It’s how it’s how high it is when it’s collapsed. Yeah. Miller Brewing Company walk Wisconsin. 96 calories and 3.2 carbs per 12 ounces. Where’s the second worst place you’ve ever slept? I know. That is the second worst. I completely That’s a good point. That’s a good point. Oh, I’ll tell you it is the second worst. The worst voice I’ve ever slept. Oh boy. This is a college story. And if you’re if you know some people watch with their their their parents uh if they listen with their parents. If you’re a kid, you know, ear muffs this one. Ear muffs. This one. I was in college and I had a good time. Sure. And I went to walk home. We’ve all done that. To my apartment and I remember thinking, man, this is an awfully long walk. Like possibly a couple miles longer than I remember it being. That’s of course because I was going the opposite direction. I was new. I had just transferred. Well, you were nude. I was new to to the college. I had just transferred. You got to make sure. I did not know anything about the city. It starts raining. So, I just kind of start sprinting. Yeah. Down the road. And I found a a winery. A winery. And I found a bush. A bush. And I slept under that bush. What? Wait, what? You just gave up? Well, no, it was for a little bit. Eventually, I was able to get a hold of a friend. Oh, it was a nap. Okay. A friend who woke up cuz I I had called and texted him enough times. I like being so lost that you just you’re like, “Well, I just have to rest up.” And then he picked me. That was 100% the case. I was like, “Any further out there makes me more wet and tired. Here’s this bush under an awning.” So, yeah. Anyway, eventually I got a hold of a friend who picked me up and drove me home. You’re like, “Bro, can you um can you come get me? I’m let me uh You know what’s crazy? I’m not so old that I couldn’t have just map quested that.” Yeah. Or map quested. Google Maps. Map quested. How old are you? Yeah. I could have just Google mapped it. I was pretty far gone. But that was a good night. That was a good night. I I have a similar story. I was going to visit a buddy of mine at uh Carlton in Minnesota. Uh which Yeah. like 3 hours away from my campus. and he went there, a buddy from high school. And later that evening, we’re all like drinking, partying together. He decides he’s going to bring a lady friend home back to his dorm where we were all planning on sleeping that night. Right. Classic situation. And uh she anyway, long story short, slept in a bush under an awning. So we fell asleep in the lobby of his dorm and then the RA kicked us out. So, we knocked on the door of like one of his mutual friends who we had met earlier that night and I slept on the floor of a complete stranger’s dorm room cuz like we couldn’t get into his his place and he was too far gone to like deal with the logistics of finding a place for his friends to sleep. Good stuff. Good stuff. Someone says they have a friend that did the same. the bush or the ironing board. Is your first off is is your friend a badger or like a small animal or a shirt or shirt or a button down to your point? Yes, it is. That’s fair. Look, listen. I’m 32 years old now. I sleep in beds. That’s such a flex. Yeah. Although my current bed never mind. I am I am still looking to get a bed frame. Fair. Fair. Fair. No, we we we we know. We know. We know. All right. We can stop there. It’s getting better. It’s an improving situation. Oh my god. I’m dying. Do you have an ironing? No, I don’t. I don’t. I don’t do ironing boards. I don’t do ironing boards ever more. I had a bad experience. Okay. Oh my god. Um, anything else from the presser? What was What was the vibe there from everybody? Was it like a an a happy vibe? Very happy vibe. Yeah, very happy vibe. I think it started for Cam when he got to meet me in the elevator. Obviously, that was a great tone setter for him. So, he was in a great mood. No, Cam was really happy to Cam is I think he’s a gift to the media, which I I think is a gift to the fans as well, right? He’s he’s a professional podcaster podcast does it, you know, as excited as Cam is to play basketball with Jokic and company. Like Cam is just as happy to answer a question that you have to him about basketball, about his fit in Denver. Um he’s really excited about this opportunity and you can that all tracks with his path, man. Really, really close to a title. Like it’s hard to get closer and not win one than they got. Then you go to Brooklyn, which no disrespect to the current staff and everything they’re trying to do there, not a winning situation. So to come back to Denver, Cam’s really, really excited. I think Ben and John were really excited. Quickly turned into a a a big vow presser in a certain sense, but honestly, even in that regard, they sound really confident to me. Like that’s as confident a quote as you’re going to get on the record about an unresolved situation, right? So yeah, normally you get like, oh, you know, we’ll wait and see. was we’re not going to comment on that. Yeah. And and I let me let me I would also say that I think the Nuggets understand it’s nice to win press conferences. It’s nice to have a great off season. This is done on the floor. Like they know that. But in the meantime, they feel very confident about the moves that they’ve made that they’ve been able to make, the people they’re bringing into the organization, the types of people that are in the organization. Now, I think there is a very very I think people are excited to be back at work again in the Denver Nuggets building in Ball Arena, which is an important That does feel like what’s happening, dude. There there is a there is a true reinvigoration that that is permeated the Nuggets. I’m glad that it’s actually that that way in the building because obviously we’re feeling it outside like the whole Nuggets universe is feel I mean like they were somehow like the story of the offseason like they I mean between they and and the Rockets like those are the two teams that were really making waves and they weren’t just acquiring guys that are sound like names you’re just these are guys you’re like wow that was smart that guy makes perfect sense in this team wow that’s a great move Cam Johnson also said that too in this presser. Um, he said that this front office clearly has a very like cohesive and clear idea of the direction they wanted to take this roster this off season. He sounded to me very impressed by the moves they made cuz he did he did shout out uh Bruce Hardway and Valenunis. He sounded like he was thinking, “Okay, these are some real moves that we make this summer.” So I I think he’s coming into this organization being like, “All right, these guys seem like the real deal.” Yeah. Yeah. I mean, to me that I I think that that’s kind of how everybody feels. It’s We really went from, you know, feeling like we were just sort of on life support. Maybe we can get Luke Canard. Yeah. Well, that and you know the the way that the news of the front office hires happened was so uninspiring feeling to just immediately like, oh my gosh, you know, like we obviously don’t know what we’re we don’t know what we’re talking about and how and nobody does. This is amazing. These guys are really hitting the ground running and they’re doing so in a way that makes a lot of sense and is super savvy. Yeah. Cam also had this quote. Um he he’s just a basketball nerd. like he’s just one of those type of guys. He said, “I used to sit down with a little notebook in my room and draw up sets. I’ve always loved the game. I’ve always loved the mental side of the game and I prided myself on that. It’s dope.” Yep. Him with Jokic with AG with Jamal. Yeah. The highest level of basketball minds are in Denver right now. It’s so true. It’s very cool. Um, so yeah, really exciting stuff. I’m guessing we’ll have a Bruce Brown presser soon. And then maybe not a Valentunis one until media day potentially. Yeah, because again a hardway not officially resolved and sooner too maybe he’s going to go play some some some national basketball here. So international basketball even but yeah I would imagine we would get I wonder if they do Bruce and Tim at the same time. Maybe actually Bruce kind of needs his own one. I know. That’s the thing. For two minimums, you’d think, “Yeah, bring him in.” But it’s Bruce. Bruce, like, “Let’s just shut down the whole city for a bit.” Yeah. Yeah. Do a whole parade for Bruce being back. Um, you know, finally today, I thought we could maybe go over the Bleacher Report top 100. Let’s do it. Bleacher Report ranked the top 100 players in NBA history. Imagine just peak summer content. Well, can you imagine the exercise of doing this? the arguments that had to take place like the we almost like eroded as a company trying to come up with the top 25 athletes for Denver, Colorado. That’s the thing. Here’s the thing you have to understand about a media company’s list. Not one person at the media company is satisfied with No, they’re just like whatever, dude. All right, fine. I guess Larry Burke, mark it down. Whatever your attempt at meeting in the middle and agreeing is when none of you agree. So I I talked with Andy Bailey a little bit about this the other day who was part of it and he was like apparently they had like a point system and all just individually submitted their own list. Players got 100 points for a first place vote 99 for a second and so on and so forth. So everybody had to rank a 100 to one list and then uh apparently the top two were only separated by a single point after that entire system which is crazy. Michael Jordan and LeBron James were separated by one point, which honestly sure, you know, feels about right. Well, that’s kind of it’s those two guys and now that it’s kind of coming to a close though, don’t you doesn’t feel like it’s Jordan’s case is getting stronger? I don’t know. I mean, is it? I kind of think it is. Let’s not accidentally do it. I just kind of think it’s his case is getting stronger. I don’t know. Like, we’re Is Eric ready for the MJ LeBron debate? I mean, we haven’t really done that. Has anyone ever done that? We should talk about it. That’s what I’m saying, bro. Like, we almost just earnestly went down that road. Like, I was about to argue with you. I’m not doing it. You know what, Eric? You’re right. We should get Judge Dline in here for that second. Think about his cultural impact. Longevity brings 100 is artist Gilmore. Uh, what do we think? I’m I’m just kidding. Uh let’s go down until we have a relevant one. 98 Klay Thompson. Klay Thompson the top 100 player of all time. I mean agree that was kind of surprising to me. I actually kind of thought he was lower than I they they ripple that that those Splash Bros made was seismic. Yeah. I mean, it’s kind of hard to to compare him maybe to KD in in in terms of shooting like shooters because KD has more of um has to do it all kind of a scoring thing, I suppose. More responsibility there, but Klay Thompson’s at minimum like the third or fourth best shooter of all time. Yeah. Right. Probably the second. Probably the second probably is what I think as well. Yeah. I mean, you could argue KD on like a higher volume, wider diet, but it’s kind of weird cuz Klay’s like on a Megan the Stallion playing in Dallas boat captain and thing like but his greatness is really like I think it’ll take a little bit for it to really like come out, but that I mean listen, he’s getting respect. I I appreciate it. I mean, they won two titles without KD. He’s got to get some credit for that. That’s true. Shout out, dude. He’s having a moment by the way. Klay Thompson Me Dellion. I also saw this morning he in that in your favorite gym. Clay made 70 consecutive threes. Nobody’s ever missed. I know that gym. That gym Thompson actually literally has not ever missed in that. Is there another gym in New York? No, it’s the only gym in the city. It’s the only one. There’s not a lot of like recreational space, you know? There’s only concrete jungle. Yeah. Um I hate that gym. 96 is Joe Dumar’s who has now quickly taken the place as the worst GM in the NBA. We really are going through every play. There is a nugget. Bill Charman 94. There is a nugget. I thought he covered a little lower. There’s a nugget nugget at 91. He’s wearing a Pistons jersey. Jason Tatum 93. Thoughts vote. Well, I love it because if you go two spots down, Mr. Big Shot Phillips, the Hall of Famer. who admittedly a Piston over a Nugget, but a nugget all the same. But he’s he’s a Denver. He’s a Denver. He’s a Colorado. That’s right. He’s a Colorado. Colorado. More important really spiritually, he is the king of Park Hill, which I asked Dev, I was like, “Do people from Bark Hill call him the king of Park Hill?” He was like, “No, they call him smooth.” That’s what white people call him. That’s what I was trying That’s what I was trying to sus out. I was like, “Did you ever adopt this thing that we made happen?” He’s like, “No, absolutely not.” I was like, “Oh, all right. Smooth it is.” So, it’s cool. It also has the highest that they were ranked on somebody’s list and the lowest. Chanty came in at 67 on somebody’s list. Oh, that’s pretty. That’s awesome. Yeah, Chanty’s the bet. Chanty Chanty somehow has a universal approval rating, but might be underrated. How high would he have gone if that Nuggets team was able to get it done and he had a ring in both Detroit and a great I mean much higher for sure. He’d definitely be top 50, right? Rings culture dictates. Yeah, he would be much higher for sure. Maybe even a little higher. Unfortunately, Melo would get all of the credit for that. Yeah. Again though, we talked about this on Rewatch. That was Chanty’s team. It was 2009 team. Yeah. Uh let’s see. 88 Draymond Green. I mean, let’s get to the headline. Uh, let’s get to the headline. Well, there’s other nuggets. Sam Jones 85. I thought he’d be a little lower. Um, Jimmy Butler. You know what’s hilarious? Do you guys remember this? Kimpy Matumbbo at 81. 81. Do you guys remember this? Is that what we were talking about? Yeah, that’s the headline. When the top 75 NBA named their their all 75 team Yeah. And one Denver Nugget in particular missed it and everyone was very upset. Ah, yes. Not not just Yokic cuz he was still young at the time. and whatever. Although he should have been in Alex English, right? Remember he’s like, “Where’s Alex English in this top 75?” They put like Damen Lillard on it perfectly. Alex English comes in on this list at 76. Just outside. You’re not a top 75 player, man. Just outside of the top 75. Close though. Manui, this is hot pod. You want just scrolling? Harrison just casually scrolling. Carmelo Anthony comes in at 60. And I mentioned this off air to Harrison. Yeah. Cuz it’s always kind of a dangerous thing to say on air, especially here where a lot of people really appreciate him still. But I miss the melo era in Denver. Yeah. And he just doesn’t mean anything to me. And meow at 60. I just talentwise. Sure. I get it. Is Melo really the 60th best NBA player ever? I mean, listen, it’s his uh the view of him is sullied here a little bit. Um, but it was until the playoffs. It was awesome watching Carmemell Anthony Denver Nugget until you got to the playoffs. It It was like Yeah. I was trying to say like the view of him is a little sullied, but he is an all-time great for sure. I mean, just watching him. Yes. Like like the eye test skill-wise score of course. Of course. He was so cool, man. He was so cool. right when you know he came into the league and those early years and then the you know the mid 2000s like he was such a cool player. I agree. I mean listen I’m uh I don’t hate Melo like I used to but I just like I don’t care but I mean don’t ever talk about the Nuggets Melo like don’t even think about it. Yeah. Just like don’t do it. And I don’t want to fight pro Melo people about it. Like if you think he’s awesome that’s fine. Just me personally I always feel like he’s like maybe a little overappreciated. I don’t know. I think a lot of people outside of Denver remember those Olympics runs, too. True. The Olympic runs are a big big deal. Yeah. Was he a nugget for those? The first one? Yeah. The first 2008 when they won. He was still on the Nuggets. You’re right. Did they Oh, yeah. Okay. That was Beijing. That was when I mean, he went on like an all-time shooting run in that Beijing run. Yeah. Um All right. Get to the headline. How about this? Luca Donuch at 57. Do you think that’s too high or too low? That might feel a little too high. Interesting. Yeah. See, this is no MVPs. This is where it’s no championships cuz it’s all right. So, I I should keep myself consistent. I just did this with Melo. Like, Luca hasn’t I mean, Bill Walton is two spots ahead of Luca Donuch. No way. Bill Walton’s a way better player all time, I feel like. Like, not right now. Now, talentwise, Luca is like, you know, probably one of the 20 best players. Bill, two championships, one MVP, one finals MVP. where he was the guy or one of the guys. Yeah, I mean that that’s he, you know, this is if his career goes the way he wants it to has a lot of room for for sure. But Luca did just make a finals as the chat points out, five straight first teams. Like I think we all know the talent we’re watching with Luca. Yeah, but you got to get you got unfortunately in these com in these uh rankings of legacy. It’s you got to get the accomplishments. You got to get those those trophies, brother. Russell Westbrook 48. I mean, Russ is a Russ is Russ is in this weird spot where he’s still going. 45. So, you talk about Russ about how he might fit your team in the Twilight years. Yeah. One thing as a Nuggets fan and a Jokic appreciator and that triple double stuff is all those graphics they flash makes you really appreciate Russell Westbrook. Holy, how is he how did he do all of that? It’s unbelievable. I mean, another guy that again did not win, but Pete Russell Westbrook was was something to watch, man. As much as as much as almost anyone I’ I’ve watched. You know, Bob Koozie at 37. Bob Koozie is the greatest punchline in NBA. Any NBA joke. I don’t know. You didn’t see all Bob Koozie out there. He used the right hand and the left hand. James Harden at 34. James Harden at 34 feels very way too high to me. Does it? I mean, I’m just great scores of all time. I just despise that man’s game. Like, I I just hate what he’s brought to the NBA. I mean, you could argue what he’s done. I just I think that he has brought pain, uh, ruin, and destruction to everything we’ve loved. He has made the rules. I mean, I whatever. Like, I I would have him like 99th. Giannis at 24. I mean, that almost feels low. Well, we always I we always think about, you know, Yoke and Giannis in a pretty similar territory, at least right now. Yoke ahead of him, but maybe just slightly. All right, headliner time. Let’s get to it. Um Carl Malone feels feels about right at 22. Let’s have this 22 feels a little high. You know what I mean? Um Dirk Nitzky at 18. And Nicole Joic at 17. Like hang on, dude. Giannis has to be higher than Durk. Giannis higher than Dirk. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. And I And Durk’s my one of my favorite players. One of my favorite players of all time and beloved. And I think as far as one ring player, like that one ring did as much for Dirk as one ring. I think that’s the key of this is the one ring that Dirk got. He went through that heat team and it was like an insane. All I’m saying is Giannis also is if we’re doing hardware, including a championship, Giannis has a pretty impressive cabinet at home, you know. Yeah, totally. Bunch of defense defensive players, but he went through the he went through the Phoenix Suns that we all think stink with Cam Johnson. With Cam Johnson, who we love. No, for sure. But I mean, he was also a god in that final. I mean, I I don’t think Giannis is on Yokic’s level, but I think he’s historically he’s a really a hard player to argue against. Durk Durk is just so iconic. Yep. And a lot of this is again like when the dust settles it’s I think players that are currently playing don’t are are getting penalized like once the legacy stuff starts to creep in like I think Klay Thompson will be ultimately hired Giannis all these guys when you have an opportunity to be like all right let’s look in totality oh for when they have you like 12 all NBA selections yeah yeah so I to me it’s like I you know I don’t get too wound up except for 17. Come on. So 17. No, it actually feels kind of right. The sticker shock on that feels like something like 17th all time. Like right now. Yes. The 17th greatest player of all time. That feels pretty awesome. And then you’re like Kevin Garnett 16th. Yeah. BS. Should he be higher than Kevin Garnett? Yes. No question. No question. Kevin Garnett are one of the arguably greatest defensive players of all time. Joic arguably the greatest offensive player of all time. Jokic is better than it’s more Garnetta is amazing. He’s remarkable. I’m a huge I’m a huge fan of his especially as Celtic Sears. Yeah, that’s a joke. But Joic is better, man. Yeah, he is. Jerry West, the logo at 15. And I mean, now we’re just getting into rare air. Oscar Robertson 14. And we’re also in the territory of guys who have just won one championship. Oscar Robertson won one championship. See, and he just there’s Jerry West one championship. There is just a there’s there’s a Kevin Durant two. He’s at Jokic is better than Kevin Durant. He should be. I think so too. Two. I also think Joic is another guy when he retires. Revisited this extra. He’s probably a lot higher. He needs more rings. He He just needs more rings. That’s probably the only argument with KD. Now, we if you want to do context, yes, of course, he joined the Golden State Warriors. Yeah. So, I would factor that in. But you can at least make the argument he’s a multipletime champ. And then Kobe at 11 did not crack the top 10. Below Curry at 10. I feel that feels right. Wilt at nine. I Wilt is the most unrankable player. So my hot take is that if Yoke wins another championship, he’s above Wilt maybe. But he’s two championships, four MVPs. When you look at Wilt’s stats, you’re like, what? Like what? What is this? When you look at stats, you’re like, “What is this?” Yeah, but no, but Will is like he averaged 50 points a game for a season. He scored 100 points in a game. He’s the most unranked. Maybe he’s the most unrankable player. Like, I don’t know how you do it. Larry Bird at eight, Tim Duncan at seven, Shaq at six. Man, Shaq over Duncan seems a bit much to me. Shaq at six seems crazy, dude. Shaq is Shaq is I mean Shaq is Shaq but like he couldn’t make a free throw. Like come on. Bill Russell five. Magic Johnson four. I don’t think you usually see Magic. Bill Russell is another like unrankable guy. Bill Russell is unrankable. He’s unrankable. Somewhere in the top. Will Chamberlain, Bill Russell, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar are the three guys you’re like Kareem I feel like is unanimously three. I It’s starting out that way. Right. And then you flip the one, two, depending on what generation you’re talking to. Yeah. And then LeBron. I kind of think they have their top three, right? Eileen Brown over MJ, but I don’t I didn’t watch MJ. So, what do you at all? In what way? Like, do you think maybe the voting came out where LeBron was actually the greatest player? They’re like, “No, we’re just going to adjust it.” So, it’s Jordan by one. I No, cuz I think Jordan’s the most. It’s the best one. He’s so sick, dude. Okay. If you want, the coolest thing about Michael Jordan, have we ever talked about this? Michael Jordan versus LeBron James. Uh, no, but the most impressive thing about Michael Jordan is the way he jumps because he has he has like three booster rock. He has stages of every jump. You go up and like like the video game, somebody your defender at some point went up and came down during one of those times and he still elevate. It’s the craziest thing. Like if you really watch it, it’s like, bro, what? Like, how is that guy still in the air? It’s unreal. It is. His hang time looks crazy. I do think Joic will will you do this exercise when he’s retired, you’ll see him in the top 10 for sure. I hope so. Well, I that’s going to it’s going to take some more rings, but I I think you’re probably right about that. He is. Um, so go win one this year. How about that? Yeah, like I mean, join us on the internet. Overtime. How to do the internet? The worldwide web. Um, so but he’d have to knock off somebody to get to the top 10. Who’s he knocking off on this list? He is because I don’t see him knocking off any of these guys if he doesn’t. He could knock off Steph Curry. Really? Yes, he can knock off Steph Curry. He could knock off uh I thought the guy he would be knocking off is Shaq, but now Shaq is at like six. Yeah, that seems a bit crazy. Tim Duncan and he are very similar. So that that could be a uh well, you know, Tim Duncan won five rings. Yeah, that’s going to be tough. Two MVPs. Whatever. We’re getting four more. Shack to me would be the first name I would say that I think he’s he would bump out if he wins another one. Larry Bird is another one you look at. You got to look at him. Look at there’s a chance that Jokic is two different whatifs. What if Larry Bird kind of stayed healthy? And what if Larry Bird did not quit drinking? Yeah. That second part, I don’t know about that. Probably will never go away. But yeah, I mean he like look he has not had a better career than Larry Bird yet. No, no, no, no. Well, his career is still going. But it’s still going. But I think I just think he’s a better player than Larry. That’s what I mean. Like he’s more skilled. He’s more skilled than Larry B. I’m sorry. What do you want from me? Uh you think Joic could have played in Bird’s era? I don’t know. Yes. Yic could play in any goddamn era. That’s unbelievable. It’s like, oh, you can’t get him in the paint. It’s like Yogi just crushes. It’s like, oh, big guy. Make him a scorer when you can’t legally double team. Good luck. Okay, HC 5280. They say talks with Val are going well, but word on the street is that Val and the Greek owner were recently seen at a Coldplay concert together with Val’s European agent and third wheel. Bro, there has never been a more throwaway story that has gripped a nation than this. Two people having an affair at a Coldplay concert. No one has ever taken a bigger L on a on an affair. Panathanakos. Panathanikos. Panakos. Panathan. It’s Panathanikos. Panathanikos. I can never That’s one I read and never say out loud. How about that? CJ Osborne 4796. I’ve been super impressed with the Ben Wallace media availability. These guys seem really savvy. So much so that I can forgive the crocky cheapness. These guys are crushing it so far, man. They every quote unquote cheap hire that the Karanis have made have been a home run and then they’re not cheap. Then they cost part of your franchise to get. Yeah. Yeah. No, they’ve been great so far. They’ve been great so far. And look, the UK, it’s it’s not the games, it’s the offseason, it’s the press conference stuff. Sometimes we make fun of other teams for winning that, but it’s better to win it than lose it for now. It’s all you got so far. And with the way last year ended, having a great off season, I think I think the excitement is back in the air. Yeah. And and I think this front office gets that. I mean, Ben Tenzer, if I can just remind everybody, is a Tim Connelly guy. Yeah, he came up under Tim Connelly. He was actually here before Tim, but really grew into a predominant role in the front office under Connelly when he was here. So, that’s the guy he’s learned from. And I feel like that’s kind of the the presence he’s going to have in these press conferences and stuff. All right, thanks for tuning in, watching, guys. An week on the show. I This show is a top 17 show this week. Top 17. Oh man. Fun show. Um, summer league tonight. Oh my god. Nuggets Lakers tonight. I got to cancel my plans. I’m busy. Me too, man. Tune into that. I’m going to pull out that ironing board. Have myself a night. Come over me. We’ll talk to you guys. Curtis Jones is getting buckets. We called Toyota’s Yota’s a mere state away in lowly Wyoming! Maybe it was cool 30 years ago like everything else Wyoming is catching onto. This internet thing is incredible by the way! I saw a fella had it on a tv that was also a phone in his pocket! We sacrificed him for good crops, seemed devilish anyway
6:22 i’m not mad at box outs that don’t end in rebounds. Michael Malone and Zeke Nnaji’s lives would both be very different if Zeke boxed out. Obviously, the box out and the board is ideal, but power forwards that don’t box out are seriously flawed players
I would love for EJ to play for us next summer and i would LOVE to see Spencer on an NBA contract in a year or so (gotta lose Tyson and Nnaji first)
Bye Hunter Tyson !!!
Liddell needs the third 2-way or maybe the last roster spot
The issue is Bates did not lose confidence buy the Nuggets should have lost confidence. If he is a scorer he needs to SCORE. I'd go with Curtis Jones on Exhibit 10 and keep him for a year but put Liddell on the last 2-way or roster him.
Liddel isnt it!
Vogt needs a GoFundMe to get a proper bed lol
That presser was weak and kind of disrespectful…. everyone kept asking about Valunciunas, and there were only 2 decent questions to Cam.
Yall dont know what a yota is ? Smh. Lindsey is just cultured. Shes either black or from the south
I am losing it at the ironing board story oh my lord
That sequence with Vogt with the ironing board and the bush was the BOMB! LOL!!!!!
Go Nuggs forever but LeBron the GOAT
I lived under bushes and awnings and parking garages off and on for 6 months wylin on drugs and shit is the worst.
Jordan’s basketball case isn’t getting better. Lebrons likeability factor is plummeting though. I’ve never rooted for him but always felt (and still feel) he’s way unfairly scrutinized but goddamn has he been a diva since he got that chip in 2020
