This Collin Murray-Boyles Summer League Performance Was INSANE! (Raptors Keep DOMINATING)

The Toronto Raptors have advanced to the summer league semifinals. They defeat the Warriors to finish a perfect 4-0 with the best point differential as the Raptors will now take on the Sacramento Kings on Saturday for a chance to advance to the final. The Raptors are two more wins away from winning the summer league title. I don’t know about all of you, but I’ve been having a blast watching this team in action. And the Raptors, they were able to win this game by double digits despite having just an abysmal shooting performance. From the field, they shot 32% and from three they shot 14%. But they were able to win this game thanks in large part to its defense, which has been absolutely elite throughout the entirety of summer league to this point. The Raptors forced the Warriors to 27 turnovers and they scored 33 points off those turnovers. And how about the rookie Colin Murray Boils? We’re going to take a closer look at him in this one. He had a standout two-way performance. The type of performance the Raptors are going to be hoping to see more of going forward. He looks solid. Before I dive right into this one, guys, do me a solid. Make sure you subscribe for more content. So, Colin Murray Boils, the Raptors leaned on him offensively. He did his thing. He finished his game with 20 points on eight for 13 shooting from the field, nine rebounds, four steals. This was CNB’s best summer league performance by far. And his defense has been as good as advertised. I mean, you see why he was highly touted as a defender coming into the league. The elite defensive instincts are definitely there. He’s a menace on that end of the floor. But then we saw him with the hustle plays, had a couple of putbacks, very active on the glass. And in this game, you know, the Raptors, they used him more as a screener and on the interior, and that really unlocked more of his game. And overall, Colin Murray Boils just looked far more comfortable. And I loved how he just attacked the rim with such confidence. And then just to put the cherry on top, he even hit a three. It was really an impactful, complete performance by Murray Boils. Look at him just bulldoze his way to the rim, getting it to go. And then nice pick and roll action here. Look at that finish with two defenders draped all over him. Gets it to go. And then this is what I’m talking about. Just active on the glass. Gets the offensive rebound off the Jamal shed miss. And then Colin Murray Boils. Wait until that three ball comes along. You hope it does. Obviously, it’s a work in progress. Was able to hit one there. only has hit two so far in summer league, but if he gets that three to go, it’s game over. And then look at Colin Murray Boils right here finishing off glass and then again just sticking with it. He’s going to come up with the loose ball and throw it down with the vicious onehanded slam. Colin Murray Boils just has great instincts getting the ball and then finishing with the slam. And then right here he’s going to clean up the glass once again finishing off that Jamal shed miss and then Murray Boils again. Nice finish inside. You can see he’s got just that menacing size inside. He can be a great interior force. the way he was able to get to the rim, that’s going to continue to improve. He’s very skilled on the glass, just able to get rebounds, and if he can get that three ball to develop, I mean, this dude is going to be a very good player at the next level. So, I was really impressed with what I saw from Colin Murray Boils in this game. He is just a force inside and we knew coming into the NBA he was already going to be great on the glass, show you that playmaking, show you that ability to get downhill and even finish at the rim. And what I really loved about Colin Murray Bole’s performance was what he said afterwards because he was asked about the summer league championship rings and Colin Murray Boils set it straight. He said, “Man, I’m worried about winning games before I see a damn championship ring. So, I’m focused on winning before we get to that point.” I love that response. You can tell CNB is a winning player and that’s all he cares about. And I mean, through three summer league games because he did miss the first one, Murray Boils has averaged 12.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, two assists, 60% from the field. Of course, the free throw shooting needs improvement. just 66% in the three-point shooting needs improvement. Just 28% only hit two threes on seven attempts. But 2.3 steals, 7 blocks. About the three-point shot, I like that he’s actually taking them because you want to see him get his shots up. Where he’s really going to impact games is with his defense. And you’ve already seen the strong defensive presence and the strong defensive play from Murray Boils in summer league in this game especially coming up with the four steals. He’s going to alter shots. He’s going to, you know, get loose balls. He’s going to block shots. He’s just going to be super active on that end. And I can’t wait to see once he’s fully developed how great of a defensive player he can be. And then in between that, you just hope he can continue to grow offensively. Overall, I mean, it’s been a really nice display by Colin Murray Boils and this Raptors team as a whole in summer league. Like, the Raptors have been absolutely getting after it. Like, this defense has been lethal. In four games, they forced 117 turnovers and have scored 135 points off of those turnovers. That’s the reason why the Raptors finished number one with the best point differential. Their shooting, their offense has been stagnant, but they’re generating offense with their superb defense. It’s as simple as that. I don’t think we’ve ever seen a team play defense like this in summer league. Like, they are getting after it every single possession. They are just covering every inch of that floor, not giving the opposition anything easy, and their defense is leading the offense. It’s as simple as that. So, we’ll see. Now guys, this is exciting cuz the Raptors get it done. They were one of the favorites coming in and uh they have yet to lose a game. They’re going to be taking on another 4-0 team in the Kings and then of course the winner of that will be moving on to the final as Summer League will be wrapped up by the end of this week. We’ll see if the Raptors can win the Summer League Championships. Those rings do look very nice and we’ll see if we see more of Colin Murray Bole’s shine along with some of these other Raptors that have looked very good during this summer league tournament.
