San Antonio Spurs TRADE Keldon Johnson To The Los Angeles Lakers? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the San Antonio Spurs be trading away Kellen Johnson to the Los Angeles Lakers this 2025 NBA offseason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself. But this trade would see the San Antonio Spurs receiving LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Devin Velton Johnson a 2027 first round pick from the Spurs and a 2027 first round pick from the Atlanta Hawks. So in my personal opinion, if LeBron were to be dealt this off season, the Spurs have to be a pretty intriguing place for him to go. uh the idea of going out to San Antonio and playing alongside, you know, superstar in the making Victor Wenyama as well as De’aran Fox plus other players who they just drafted in the form of Dylan Harper and then former rookie or then you know just past rookie of the year uh you know Stefan Castle that’s a really good base not only for the short term but for the long term as well and if they want to kind of push all their chips into the middle of the table capitalize on uh their good young talent coming to fruition as well as their draft capital that they have from the Atlanta Hawks trade uh for DeJonte Murray they could push all that into the middle of the table and kind of go for a championship run as early as next season with the LeBron James acquisition. Also too for LeBron going to San Antonio playing in a bit of a smaller market might not be terrible even though it’s LeBron James the big the the media is going to follow him everywhere but also too no state income tax which could be pretty appealing to LeBron James at this point of his NBA career and his 50 plus million salary next year. So, not a bad idea there. But from the Lakers perspective, this is a pretty good deal. Uh, getting back Deon Vel, Kell Johnson, and a couple first round draft picks. That’s some pretty good value. I think if I’m the Lakers though, I would try my best to get back uh Stfan Castle if possible. Uh, but they also too might be in the sweep stakes for Giannis and Takmpo. So, if Giannis is not going to be demanding a trade anytime soon, maybe they pivot their attention towards LeBron. But I think for the San Antonio Spurs, their number one priority is to get Giannis. The number two, of course, in this case would be LeBron James. But if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I’m going to go with the San Antonio Spurs. But as always, leave your thoughts.
