Kings High On Rookie Maxime Raynaud’s Potential #kings #nba #sacramento
Should everybody kind of pump the brakes a little bit with with the excitement that they have and the expectations they may have for him as a Sacramento king? Casey, I’ll I’ll I’ll tell you this. If I if I have to tell you if I tell you to pump the brakes, I also have to tell myself to pump the brakes. And most importantly, I have to tell members of the Kings coaching staff to pump the brakes because there’s member of the Kings coaching staff that feel that way. I’ve been told that and I and I believe that. Um, I think he was a 42nd pick because it was orchestrated for him to go to Sacramento. Like, we’ve heard a lot about how the second round of the draft is essentially just agents assigning their players or finding their players the best possible landing spot for them. That’s why I believe Maxim was the 42nd pick, not because there were 41 players better than him. If you look at like whether we care about mocks, but the general consens consensus in the conversations that I had is Maxim was slated to be in the high 20s. So, I do believe he is a a potential day one NBA contributor and that you can have realistic expectations but still have those hopes and that optimism towards a player like that. Again, we’re not talking about a 19-year-old, 20-year-old kid who was drafted based off of his measurements. Maxim was specifically drafted as an older prospect with four years of experience as a archetype center that Scott Perry clearly values, right? Floor spacing centers that Maxine fits that mold. So, I do believe the Kings are looking at this is Maxine, nothing’s going to be handed to you. You’re not a lottery pick and you’re not coming into a situation where we’re a 25 win team and you’re just going to play no matter what. You’re gonna have to earn it, but we drafted you because we believe you can contribute and help this team right away while also being a piece of our future.

Maxine definately comes across to me as a poor man's Porzingis. Who the Kings wanted to draft years ago and got stuck having to draft Willie Cauley-Stein.
I love that pick as soon as that came off the presses!
What matters as backup to Sabonnis. Can this guy put the ball in the basket😮
JV was the perfect back-up for Sabonis. Statistically and historically 2nd rnd picks are not good. When you here their 1st and 2nd rnd picks talk, they say a lot about these nba summer league guys are next level and pace of game is faster, that is tellin’ me that player has ZERO ‘swag!’ Just sayin….
I am just amazed that over and over videos show up in my feed about the King's and what a great future they have. What a great future some pick that no one has ever heard of will be a contributor. How some guy scores 20 points in the summer league and he has a future. What a joke. The organization is a loser. They are terrible. They give me the feeling of the former Clippers under Donald Sterling ownership. A franchise that made money consistently and was a consistent loser on the court. That is the King's and it always will be the King's. Soon Sabonis if he has not already asked out will. Christie who should not be the coach will be fired sooner than anyone thinks. The new GM will do whatever Ranadive wants in order to be the current GM. What a waste of a franchise.
