Collin Murray-Boyles Will Become A STAR In Toronto!

Collin Murray-Boyles Will Become A STAR In Toronto!

Colin Murray Boils is going to be a defensive monster. Take this play for example. Even though he’s in a power forward’s body, he can pressure like he’s a guard. And as you can see, that has the opponent as flustered as can be. But not only that, he knows where to rotate 24/7. So after doing the work on the ball, immediately helping out his teammate and forcing a pass. Then lastly, again, swiping down off the ball and getting the steal. He was everywhere on that possession. I like to call him a lowmaintenance player because what gets him going is the dirty work. He doesn’t need to ball hog the basketball. Yesterday he had 20 points and guess how many dribbles he took? Four dribbles. He’s just a winning player who accepts the dirty work and enjoys the dirty work. For example, you need him to set a screen. He’s going to set a screen. He destroys his opponent on this one. Now it’s a one-on-one situation with this point guard going downhill. He catches and you pause it here. You’re like, “Oh my goodness, he’s screwed. How on earth is he going to finish through all that traffic?” Don’t worry, he’s really comfy in these situations. A really good finisher around the rim. He can take contact because he’s a large human being and strong. Then on this possession, we see him lurking in the short corner. His teammate throws up a three-pointer, bricks it. Don’t worry, CMB has great position. My goodness, he was quick to the basketball, snatching it out of the air. We also have to appreciate his wingspan on that one. and it allows him to get to the ball quicker than everyone. I mean, at this point, he’s barely off the ground, but because he has a 7ft one wingspan, he’s basically touching the ball. It’s also impressive. He went down with it and right back up in.5 seconds, took some contact going back up with it, but it didn’t matter. He has that sweet touch. The name of his game is versatility. Grabs a defensive rebound. He looks up the court. He’s like, “Okay, it’s my time to shine. I’m going to be a point forward for this fast break situation.” Perfect pace of play. His handle is in control. I mean, he looks very comfy. He then finds an open teammate cut into the rim and it ends up in a two-pointer. Let’s see some defensive versatility now in this lineup. He’s playing the center position. Great initial ball pressure. And look at where he’s guarding the pick and roll. He has the ability to switch onto that point guard. You can tell the point guard was flustered. He’s like, “What on earth is happening?” He also has such quick hands, always getting steals like this and not fouling. All he gets in the box score for that is a steal. But in reality, those points don’t happen without him. He has real potential as an elite defensive playmaker for sure. And honestly, at his peak, he’s going to be guarding every single position. Another low-key play to show off his versatility defensively. The Raptors were picking up full court. And a lot of the times NBA teams just dish it to a center or a forward who can dribble. And usually they can just dribble it up because the opposing center is not used to guarding the perimeter. You see the Warriors try that here. Murray Boils is like, I can pick up full court. Ends up in a steal and a free dunk for the Raptors. A lot of people like to compare him to Draymond Green. And I definitely see it. not only the defensive toughness and physicality, but also the way he thinks the game of basketball. He’s a very quick decision maker. And this play right here is a perfect way to showcase what I’m saying. So, his teammate grabs the rebound. He starts jogging up the floor and you see him look up, take in what’s happening down there. Then he looks to his teammate. He’s like, “Pass me the rock.” Because he obviously saw something. And as soon as he catches, pass ahead to the corner, pass ahead to their best three-point shooter. And just like that, you got a three created in a blink of an eye. And earlier in the video, we saw him roll to the basket, but now he’s shown the ability to pop and hit the three-pointer. That’s a big swing skill for him. Just 26% from three in college. But I really believe in his three-point shot developing over time. I don’t think he’s ever going to be a crazy three-point shooter, but definitely subpar. And here he elects to go with the ghost screen because he can tell his point guard already has a step on the initial defender. You could also tell the defender is expecting some contact. So when it doesn’t happen, he’s a step behind. And now his point guard has an opportunity at the rim. He misses, but guess what? The smaller defender had to switch on to him to box him out. That’s not happening. Look at how high he skies for that rebound. And again, the quickness at which he gathers the offensive rebound. And as soon as he touches the floor, he’s going right back up for the finish, giving the defense no time to recover. He just has a very unique style, a do-it-all sort of player with the ability to impact the game without demanding the basketball. He’s going to play hard 247, hustle, defend, and most likely he’s going to be thinking the game faster than his opponent. That right there is already a great basketball player, but he also has offensive potential. There’s more there on the ball potentially if he keeps working. There’s more there in terms of three-point shooting. Sky’s the limit for him. And if you do simple research on him, it seems like he’s a very very humble kid and a hard hard worker. I’m a big Colin Murray Boils fan and maybe finally someone lives up to the Draymond Green comparison because whenever that happens, that player seems to be a dud. That’s all I got. 1. Keep it up. Preach !! Tel those who were upset cus Masai didn't take the guy from South Sudan, who's a suspect to me no a prospect…

  2. If you play at South Carolina, you WILL play defense. No matter if the team is SORRY as hell. AJ LAWSON AND CMB, both SC players, coached by 2 different defensive coaches. You’re welcome

  3. Kinda reminds me of Kawhi both 6’7 have long wingspan and can guard 1-5 get deflections and blocks looks at young kawhi not much of a jumper got it on defensive and got layups didn’t really shoot midrange then fixed his jumper

  4. Him and Scottie are going to be an insane defensive pairing down the road. CMB just knows how to play every position on that end it’s crazy to see for a rookie

  5. Interested to see their rotations this year. They might have to play 5 wings at points in the game. I can see line ups of Boyles, Agbaji, Ingram, Walter and Barnes in the 2nd quarter where they just switch everything on defense.

  6. He already look better than OG in def, all he need is shooting better , I can see he is better than Og

  7. Hope he does but everyone needs to stop hyping players up until they prove it. It's only one summer league game.

  8. Forget about Draymond Green, the Raptors got another Scottie Barnes;

    A Scottie Barnes who can Play Good Defense, Score around the Hoop and a Scottie Barnes, who is Capable of Averaging 24-26 Points per Game.

    Now, do you see the Kinda Shit that Scottie Barnes has Gotten himself into, by Not Scoring the Ball Aggressively ?

    Scottie Barnes got some Serious Problems O;

    with this Collin Boyles Eating up Big Minutes and Even Coming in as a Starter from Game to Game.

    Another Reason why Masai’s Firing is Warranted because Masai Ujiri Ends up Duplicating Players of the Same Positions,

    from these Last Two NBA Draft Lottery, yet the Raptors are still Lacking at the Point Guards and Center Positions.
