Chicago Bulls Have SIGNED Yuki Kawamura to Two-Way Deal

All right, apologies for the poor sound quality. I don’t have my microphone. I’m actually out right now because I did not expect that the Bulls would be signing Yuki Kawamura to a twoway deal. I just put out a video earlier this morning. I actually started working on it last night, hoping hoping that the Bulls would actually just take a chance on this kid. Sign him to that last two-way deal. You really have nothing to lose. It’s a two-way spot. If things don’t go well, you can always wave him or you just have him for the one year and move on to a new player the following season. It’s not like you’re signing this guy up to a really long-term expensive contract. I love what I saw from this kid in summer league. I love that he’s a big-time hustler. Plays with a ton of confidence, impeccable court vision, knows where he needs to be, but also knows where to find his teammates and generating offense, but is actually a pretty pesky defender. Like, obviously he’s not a good defender because he’s so small, but he hustles on that end of the floor, which is something I greatly appreciate. Um, you know, I mean, he’s not going to get a ton of playing time on the actual big league Bulls team. You’re probably going to be seeing most of him play in the Windy City Bulls, but you never know. This could end up being one of those crazy success stories of a two-way contract that eventually becomes fulltime. Hopefully, he uh blossoms into this point guard that the Bulls can actually utilize as a role player. I mean, we’ve seen other things happen like this with two-way players like Alex Caruso. So, I’m not getting my hopes up just yet because he is a very very undersized player. But, uh, this is this is great. This is good for the Bulls. I I you know, these small minor wins that we have to get excited about as Bulls fans right now. This is something that we can get excited about to an extent. Uh, now we’re just waiting for the Josh Giddy news. So, anyway, let me know what you guys think of the Bulls signing Yuki Kawamura to a two-way deal. Let me know in the comments, guys. As always, be sure to subscribe and I will see you in the next one.

  1. The height of a player obviously matters Nate robinson. He was a firecracker and brought so much energy and Yuki is full of energy and hustle. I love the pickup and I would not mind him being involved in the lineup

  2. I’m starting to get worried about the Giddey deal. Signing Tre and yuki before Giddey I don’t think that’s a good sign. I get he will prolly sign the qualifying offer but I like him for the long run

  3. If the Bulls are winning in the regular season he won't play. But if they become a losing team they'll have no choice but to put him in.

  4. "obviously not a good defender" come on man, he did a great job all summer league long. I know steals aren't everything, but he averaged 2.2 per game in 23 minutes of action. That is top 10 of anyone to play as much as he did in all of the summer league. And my eyes showed me he was there contesting every shot and moving his feet very well to get in front of guys trying to drive. And virtually nobody posted up on him up successfully. People need to stop commenting that he is short therefore he cannot defend.

  5. It was my understanding that they didn’t have any more 2 way deals to give… who did they take one away from?

  6. The Bulls gonna continue to help me win all my bets against them now that they've made more stupid decisions this off-season yes continue to make more stupid moves & I'll eventually get rich off this team losing a bunch of games & not making the playoffs again next season

  7. It was obvious, Jamal. If they didn't, it would've validated Bulls fans' second-guessing every AKME move.

  8. You knew it was the only logical thing to do.. Gonna enjoy seeing him in Hoffman. He will be visiting one of my schools in 2 months.

  9. At the VERY LEAST, he's a spark for the team. All guys in the NBA are skilled, but when there's a person under you that has that hustle, that elevates everyone around him.

  10. Tons of unathletic NBA players and traffic cones that are good offensively but trash defensively or put no effort in on defense, I don't think the defensive issue is that big of a deal in the modern NBA, and laterally he's a great defender with quick hands. Potentially the Bulls could even use the fact that other teams will try to exploit him to their advantage.

  11. You never know who can make it as a backup point guard. Guys have surprised me at times. Hope he gets some tick with the big club
