NBA 2K26 Memphis Grizzlies vs New York Knicks | Ultra Realistic Concept Gameplay [4K 60FPS]
Another exciting edition of NBA ball. This is Brian Anderson, coach Dan Van Gundy, and the Hall of Famer Grant Hill here with me at the table, and Alli Leforce reporting from the sidelines. And they’ll have some minutes to make up for with an injury in their rotation. Compensating for the absence of a key player can be tough, but they’ve got to hold strong. The starters for the Memphis Grizzlies, Santi Alama out there with Edy. Then there’s J Morant. Then there’s Contavius Caldwell Pope and it’s Wells in at the three. And for the Knicks, they’ve got Jaylen Brunson. Carl Anthony Towns is out there with Josh Hart. Then it’s OG Anobi and it’s Bridges in a two guard stance. Certain NBA teams take on the identity of their home. Like the Grizzlies, for example, they call Memphis grind city. Well, Brian, I think it’s a perfect fit. hardworking people in a hardworking city and they want a hardworking team. Now here’s Bridges. The Grizzlies pull it in. Oh, you got to finish at the rim right there. You hate seeing those opportunities go to waste. And he got the whistle on the way up. So, he’ll be headed to the line for a pair. Seems like every team in the league could use a player like Contavius Caldwell both. Yeah, Brian, look, the term three and D at times seems like a backhanded compliment, but not with KCP. He does both the three and the D at elite levels. Always takes the toughest backcourt assignment and more than holds down his own. First free throw is good. Well, Grant, one thing about this Knicks team, they have a clear identity. Yeah, they have the mentality of their city, New York City, playing the game with passion and in-your-face attitude. And of course, these Knicks leave it all out on the floor. That one falls. So, he hits both of them. Recently, player health has been the big talking point around the Memphis Grizzlies stand. Yeah, BA, look, and it’s really a shame to have such a talented, dynamic team have to deal with all those constant whatifs and have their seasons so affected by things outside of their control. It’s tough. Now, here’s Mor Caldwell Pope. The pass to Wells. Here’s Aldama tried to answer back, but that three is off the mark. picked his pocket and he takes that one up and powers it through. Talk about taking advantage of the opportunity. How about the anticipation right there that led to the steal. Then he goes straight to the bucket. Turning great defense into great offense. That’s the kind of stop you’re looking for. Yeah, nimble play by Bridges inside, navigating the contact and getting to his finish. Here’s Mor. Carl Anthony Towns comes up with a rebound. The Knicks have gone two of three from the floor. It’s stolen outside. Calwell Pope. Pass to Wells. Three-pointer. Always a nice way to start. Makes his first one. Among the best passers in the league, Morant finds open teammates. Now here’s Bridges guarded by Aldama. Here’s Brunson. Oh, what a play. It’s snatched out of the air. Credit the block. Pass to Edy. Now Mor. He’s covered by Hart. Here’s Wells from deep and a great assist by Morant as that one goes. Wells has got six. Not just an aggressive scoreer, Morant is also a fantastic distributor. Got a piece of it and he’s able to get it back. Kicks it out. Towns from outside the ark. Alma grabs a board. Grizzlies lead by five. Pass to Wells. Lays it up and in off the pretty assist. Give him eight. All right, guys. A breakdown here of the hustle stats for the Grizzlies. Wow, those early blocks are key. They are intimidating their opponents and making them hesitant. Yeah. And also a great job hustling on turnovers and turning them into points. Defense creating offense so far in this one. And we’ll have a timeout called by Mike Brown. Coach wants to speak to his guys, maybe alter some of the game plan. And here in the first about 3 minutes in, looking to win the run. It’s tipped. Towns passes to Brunson. Now Bridges. That one falls. Yeah. A relentless worker. Bridges so tough inside. Memphis leading by five outside. Mor pass to Edi. Boom. He jams it straight down. Oh, not the defensive effort they need to cut into the lead. Well, a good call. You have to at least try to protect the rim. Yeah, I’d consider calling timeout right away after that one. The defense has to be better there. Here’s Brunson after the basket by Memphis on the other end. Six on the shot clock. Art passes to Anobi for three. Bridges. Memphis with a rebound. Memphis with the ball. They’re on a 12 to4 run. Pass to Aldama down low. Here’s Edidi. And a big bounce off the rim, but it sinks right in. Ed’s got six. In terms of offense, they’ve been the more efficient team by far. Well, I think it’s because they’re calling sets that really match up well with their personnel. Now, here’s Towns. Still no points. Drives to the hoop and it’s Towns with the power finish. Looking ferocious on the drive. I love seeing Towns going hard and finishing with power. Here’s Edy. He’s guarded by Bridges. Here’s Mor. Oh, there’s Mor with the slam. I’ll tell you, those finishes are always extra special when they come from your point guard. Oh, forget about his passing. Can we see more dunking? Wow, that is an impressive vertical for a point guard. My goodness. And it’s going to be out of bounds. New York will have another go. Almost had the steal. You have to love the pressure defense. Yeah, deflections are a stat that a lot of teams track. Disrupting the offense’s rhythm and flow. Grizzlies lead by nine. Outside Cwell Pope over to the wing inside. Shots good by Moran. What a way to begin this game. dominating at both ends of the floor. Obviously, guys, brilliant coaching, a perfect game plan. And keeping us updated from the sideline, Ally Leforce. Earlier, I spoke with Mike Brown and we discussed his plan for John Mar. Coach smiled and said, “I just told my guys to stay ready out there, ready for anything because Mor can do so many surprising things. We just have to stay on our toes.” Hopefully that flexible mindset helps the defense keep up with Moran’s antics out there. BA, thanks for that, Ally. Take a break. Two shots. First free throw is good. Offensively, Carl Anthony Towns is one of the most well-rounded big men in the league. Grant, yeah, maybe in league history, BA, he’s an elite three-point shooter, postcore, and his passing is severely underrated. That’s also good. So, he hits both free throws. Well, Grant, all the high hopes Knicks fans have had in recent years, they have finally come to fruition. Yeah, it really was good to see the Knicks have a great campaign last year. From the players to the coaches to the front office and the fans, they’ve pressed all the right buttons. Now, here’s Towns. Oh, and he took a hard foul on the shot. So, he’ll head to the line to shoot a pair. After three straight playoff appearances, the Grizzlies sadly missed the postseason in 2024. Grant, you know, really by no fault of their own. BA injuries ruined what fans were hoping would be a big year for them. You know, it just goes to show there’s no safe bets in this league. And that one falls for Towns. And no matter what the chatter is out there, all Big Cat does is produce on a nightly basis. And so Towns nails them both. And he’s shown a great touch at the line. They’ve tested the big guy, but he’s come through from deep. Mor and Anobi pulls it down. Knicks trail by seven. Here’s Bridges. Shots blocked and that one goes out of bounds. Last touch by Edy and it’s Mike Brown calling timeout here. We might see him looking to make some tweaks to the strategy here. Looking now for some consistency. Just too many missed shots. Yeah, right now coach needs to draw up his best play, get some points, and give this team some confidence. Robinson, he’s checked in for New York. Clarkson comes in for Muel Bridges. Clark has checked in for Memphis. Memphis on D. Seven-point differential. Robinson a screen on Morant. Hart from long range and that’s good. His first bucket of the game. The defense gave him a little space and he took advantage. 16. Morad with it. Outside Caldwell Pope pass to Moran. Here’s Edy. Robinson defending just five to shoot. There’s the three. And it’s Edy missing. New York has gone two for four from range to start things off. And that one’s good. Clarkson. And great recognition by Clarkson. He finds the soft spot, stops and pops. Alama outside. over to the left wing for three. Caldwell Pope and that’s good. His first bucket of the game. Well, that’s a shot you don’t mind him taking. Gets a good look and trusts his shot to knock down the three. Knocked away. And the Grizzlies pushing it up now. And that one is hammered home. And you don’t need a road map when he’s got open court in front of him like that. Well, the best way to attack is in transition. He recognizes that. Now here’s Hart. Back to Brunson. Outside Anobi. Clock at six. Hart from long range. The rebound by Edy. Memphis leading by seven. Clark outside. Hard against Moran. Shoots over Hart and it’s New York with a rebound. Yeah, I’m not sure that’s the look they want. It’s tough working the mid-range area. Pass to Brunson. It’s blocked. Dive for it and they get it back. Back to Clarkson. Fires the three. Alama grabs a board. Memphis has gone three of six shooting from beyond the arc. Here’s Moran. Oh, Robinson with a block. Here’s Anobi. Blocked. Kicks it out to Clarkson. Launches it. Hits the trifecta. Clarkson’s got five now. Rise and fire away. This is Clarkson’s attitude as soon as he catches the rock. Pass to Caldwell Pope. takes the three. Here’s Edi. And you can count it. He’ll go to the line with a chance at a three-point play. The second chance points are all about a lack of effort defensively. Those buckets would drive me nuts. Memphis shooting their third free throw attempt of the game. And the free throw no good. Knicks trail by six. Here’s Brunson and he was fouled while in the act of shooting. So he’ll take two free throws. first. Well, I don’t think anyone predicted that Jaylen Brunson would become the player he is today, Grant. Yeah, that’s for sure. BA or he definitely wouldn’t have been a second round pick. He’s a hard worker, a competitor, and an elite offensive player. That free throw good from Brunson. Good on both. Memphis leading by four. Pass to Edi and he drains it. A solid five for six now. Rock solid screen right there. The defender got completely lost. Yeah, you’ve got to lock and trail hard. You can’t allow him a clean look from there. Now here’s Clarkson. He’s got five. Gabelli outside. McBride out of bounds. It’ll be Memphis’s ball. Hurts to see that kind of mistake. Coach is going to be on him about that one. Memphis making a switch here. Pippen’s checked in. Scotty Pippen. Memphis has gone three of seven from beyond the arc in the first. Here’s Jerome. McBride covers. A minute 53 left in the first and he’ll take a trip to the line for two. Clearly got fouled on that shot. Memphis shooting their fourth and fifth attempts at the free throw line tonight. Tyro at the line. Two shots. And he makes a first and good on the second. So he makes them both. He’s making the most of every trip to the line, providing for his team. Clarkson outside. There’s the triple. Clark grabs the board. Grizzlies lead by eight. Let’s check in with our reporter Ally Leforce. Grizzlies great Mark Cassaul last season retiring from basketball. He embraced the city of Memphis. He said, quote, “I think a player has to feel that it’s their city and they have to fight for it. You play with a different mindset when you do that.” To me, winning was the most important thing. And they did a lot of winning, ally. And it’s Clarkson missing. Well, and even though he couldn’t get that one to fall, that’s a shot they want him taking. Clark, the pass to Jerome and the three off target. And for New York, they’re shooting 33% in the first quarter. And that one’s good. Clarkson, you got to bring more fire than that to stop Clarkson. He’s a pro at fending off tight defense. Here’s Jerome. McBride covers the three. Jerome no good. Knicks trail by six. Here’s Clarkson. He blocks it again. A defensive stalward so far. That’s six blocks. Protecting the rim well. Love the hustle. Here’s Brunson and he wills that one in. Sinking it right through the back of the iron. And you just can’t let Brunson get to his spot. I mean, he’s an excellent mid-range shooter. 6 seconds separating the shot and game clocks. to the middle. Here’s Editi. Oh, a great one, two punch. Beautiful pass and a nasty jam. He can really read the floor. Precision pass in rhythm. The 17-footer. Here’s Robinson. Memphis with a rebound. Ed’s got six rebounds in the game. And so it’s Memphis leading by six as we wrap up the quarter. They’ve had incredible success defensively, taking away good looks and pressuring shooters and more NBA action on 2K Sports coming your way right after this. Hope you’ve enjoyed the broadcast so far, halfway through the first half in this one. What stands out to you from the Grizzlies in this one? Just excellent first quarter defense. They’ve been really getting after it. Yeah, but it’s hard to keep that kind of intensity for the entire game, but if they can come close to that, they’ll be in a great spot. Looking at lineups around the league, Grant, seems like they’re becoming more positionless than ever before. Yeah, you’re spot on, BA. To the point where some people feel allstar voting shouldn’t be by position anymore. It should be by merit. On the court for Memphis, Ty Jerome is out there with Contavius Caldwell Pope. Then there’s Santiama. Then it’s Brandon Clark and it’s Wells in at small forward. And we think of Clarkson often as a score, but there making the unselfish pass. Just great work. Pass to Wells and here’s Caldwell Pope. Alama outside Wells. The pass to Clark. There’s a screen. Six to shoot. Here’s Jerome. Nails it. And he’s one for five with that one. And once more this half they find a way to get great position inside. Clarkson with the ball. Here’s Yoselli and the three is up. They get it back out to Bridges. The three is up. He drops it from range. Yeah, making the smart pass there. I mean, Bridges doesn’t just hold the ball. Jerome passes to Caldwell Pope. Here’s Wells. Give him eight points now. Pass to Jerome. Shot from the top of the key. Outside Caldwell Pope. Now here’s Aldama. Now Clark. Oh, and Towns with the block. The wingspan of Towns in action allowing him to get on the ball. It’s time to take a glance again at that superb block. Yeah, obviously he had the shot well anticipated, able to shut it down with authority for New York. They’ve got two of three shots to go in the second. We’re now about 2 minutes into the second quarter. A nice shot by McBride. Well, maybe the defense thinks they can live with that, but he’s pretty consistent from that mid-range area. Pass to Caldwell Pope. Clark with the screen to the paint. Oh, Clark with the slam. Great use of the bounce pass there. You got to love that. Clarkson against Caldwell Pope. Towns on a screen to the inside and it’s Towns with the power finish. Yeah, strong flush from Towns. I like whenever he plays with an edge inside. Timeout called Memphis. We’ll stand. Former second round pick Jordan Clarkson. He’s averaged doubledigit scoring every season. Yeah, Brian. He’s done it primarily as a sixth man. He actually already ranks among the top 10 in all time points scored off the bench and he’s still moving up the ladder. It is interesting that he prefers to come off the bench. Yes, some guys do. And we’re just over two and a half minutes into the second. Here’s Wells. Give him eight points now. Out of bounds. It’ll be New York’s ball. Well, it shows you how crucial communication is. They clearly weren’t on the same page there. The Knicks have gone a terrific four of five here in the second quarter. Towns a screen on Caldwell Pope. Bridges right side. Knocks down the long K. Bridges has got seven points in the game. Oh, productive from back there. Bridges showing the range. Paul do the pass to Caldwell Pope. Clark with a screen on Clarkson for three. Caldwell Pope. He buries it from three. He’s got 10. And both teams running long range plays that are working well. You know, it’s become a three-point shooting league. Teams shooting a steady diet from outside. Good. And the Knicks lead by two. Good execution. They’re getting some short range looks here. 42 Jerome passes to Clark. Oh, it’s stolen by Towns. And here’s the fast break. Lets it go from 11. And the ball goes out of bounds. Last touch by Towns. Memphis has gone one of two from deep in the second quarter. Jerome on the wing. McBride covers outside. Calwell Pope. Jerome passes to Wells. Aldama outside. Shot clock at five for three. And again, it’s Memphis with a three. These teams just feeling each other out. Yeah, I love the spirit out there. Already six lead exchanges. Three-pointer Bridges. Second shot opportunity and the play by Towns inside. I mean, I’ll tell you, Towns is so dangerous on the offensive glass. 44. Jerome passes to Wells and the foul is called. He missed it. So, he’s got a couple of free throws coming his way. That’s on Male Bridges. No debate there. He He got hammered. And a moment here to take a look at the scoring breakdown for New York. Well, I’m seeing that their second chance points are exactly what every coach wants to see. Hustling on the offensive glass to convert every possession they can. Something else that stands out is how they’ve gotten out in transition. Their speed has kept the defense on their heels. And he drops a first. All right, Stan. As you look around the league, who stands out as the best perimeter defender right now? There’s so many good ones. OG Anobi might be the most versatile. Drew Holiday, Derek White, KCP. Don’t forget about guys like Aaron Gordon and Herb Jones also outstanding. So, one for two that time at the stripe. golden opportunity to take the lead. Instead, he merely knots up the score. Neither side willing to relent. That’s led to eight lead changes and a bunch of drama already. And the foul on Santi Alama. That’s his first foul. First personal foul. First team foul. Bridges passes to Clarkson. Here’s Bridges down to five on the shot clock. Here’s McBride. Had a miss there on the triple. The Grizzlies have gotten five of seven shots to fall in the second. Pass to Caldwell Pope. Here’s Jerome. He has seven inside. Clark soft touch off the glass. Clark’s got six points in the quarter. Nice offense here. Close end. Great bet to go. Bridges outside. Here’s Yaviselli guarded by Aldama Towns. A screen on Caldwell Pope. Here’s Clarkson. And too long on the shot. Grizzlies lead by four. Seems like this offense is being executed the way it was designed. Yeah, I’m sure coach couldn’t be happier with the results. And we’ll have a timeout called by Mike Brown. He’ll take the opportunity to regroup on the boat. It’s your right. It’s teacher time. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. So, it’s both teams making substitutions here. Here’s Towns. 10 points for him to stop the run and that’s two points on the layup. Towns has got 12 points. And it’s always great to see Towns in the zone bringing a ton of energy to his offensive game. Jackson surveying the D. Here’s Mor. Bounces high off the rim and drops. He’s got six. He just brings a great feel for the game at the offensive end. Jackson against Bridges. Pass to Brunson from the high post and he gets the jumper to drop. The lefty getting it to go. Jaylen Brunson once again. 1548. Moran against Hart. Moran the pass to Caldwell Pope. Here’s Jackson. Shot clock at six. Over Bridges. Jackson can’t get it to go. And so it’s Hart with it. He brings it up for the New York Knicks. Trailing by five. Pass to Bridges. Outside Brunson shoots over Mor. Brunson misses. Memphis leading by five. Here’s Wells. He’s got nine. Goes up on the baseline and another basket for Memphis. And the Knicks with the possession here. Here’s Towns. Sinks that one from the post. Nice positioning and footwork on point. And Towns so smooth down there inside. Pass to Edy. Back to Mor. Launches a three. The Knicks pull it in. You know, coach, when you watch John Mor play, it’s hard to think of anyone else as explosive as he is. Yeah, Brian, he can make a defender look like he’s standing still. The burst that Mor has with his first step is unrivaled. Probably the best burst in the entire league. Truly is a human highlight reel in this modern day. Timeout called Memphis. T-shirts are incoming, fans. Make some noise and we’ll send one your way. Crowd reception in the building. Get three t-shirts. The loudest section gets t-shirts launched their way. Let me hear you. The Knicks making a switch here. Robinson’s checked in. Williams has checked in for Memphis. Pippen comes in for Caldwell Pope. Here’s Edy. He’s got 14. Mor finds Williams. There’s a screen. Six on the shot clock. To the wing on the left, Jackson. The pass to Williams. And again, Memphis no good. Knicks trail by three. Bridges down low. Pounded by Mor. Memphis has got six out of 15 threes so far in this game. Pass to Pippen. Lets it go from deep. The offensive rebound. Williams against Hart for three. Williams. That’s good. Williams has gotten himself going with a triple. His first basket of the game. Rock solid screen right there. The defender got completely lost. Yeah, you’ve got to lock and trail hard. You can’t allow him a clean look from And I like it. I mean, using the strong frame, Brunson pushes through the foul and sinks the shot. Find the way. Find the way. Third. Second team foul. Jaylen Bart at the line. And that one misses. And we all know about Stan the analyst and Stan the coach, but when you played in college, what was your game like, Stan? Hey, Brian, I I had the game that would get you beat as a coach. I will say my greatest strength was this. I was never once o accused of overpassing the black hole. That is Stan Van Gundy. And so it’s Brunson who brings up the ball for the Knicks. Six-point game. Bridges outside. Bridges. A screen on Jackson. And here’s Brunson from the arc. It’s called in by John Mor. That’s his shot and one I’m sure he wants back. Here’s Pippen and another three for Memphis. That’s a terrific kick out pass. When the defense collapses like that on the inside, you’ve got open people outside. Back to Brunson. Fires from deep. Grizzlies with the rebound. Ed’s got the glass covered here tonight. That’s 11 boards for him. Basket counts. And now an 11-point Grizzly lead. Terrific ball movement leading to the basket. You love to see it outside. Anobi. Brunson passes to Robinson. Bridges outside. Knocks it down from distance. Bridges has got six in the quarter. Yeah, the quickness from Bridges there looking like a guard. 57 Mor the pass to Pippen. Morant with a screen on Brunson. Pass to Williams. Puts up a deep three. The Knicks pull it in. There’s a 4second difference between the shot and game clock. Bridges outside outside. Brunson three-pointer. It’s deflected in transition. Here’s Pippen. The shot no good. Good D by Brunson. Oh, and the buzzer beater is good. They credit him for understanding the situation and coming through. Yeah, really a perfect way to finish that quarter on a strong positive note. And so it’s the Memphis Grizzlies with a six-point lead at the close of the quarter. Their work from distance has been impressive and it’s put them in this lead right now. We’ll be right back with you shortly. Mystery. And as we get into this third quarter, as we’ve seen so far, neither team able to create much separation on the scoreboard. Grizzlies lead by six. They’ve got Josh Hart. Jaylen Brunson is out there with Male Bridges. Then it’s OG Anobi. And it’s Towns in at the five. So that’s who’s on the floor for the Knicks on the wing. Caldwell Pope. Oh, it’s blocked by Towns. Outside Anobi pass to Bridges takes a three. The rebound by Edy. Ed’s got rebound number 13 tonight with that one. Down low and the basket by Aldama. Aldama’s got his first points of the game. Probably a play they drew up in the locker room at half. Yeah, I like how they’re establishing their interior presence right away. That’s going to collapse the defense and create other opportunities. And man, you got to appreciate how efficient Brunson is. I mean, he takes and makes high percentage shots from deep. Mor Carl Anthony Towns comes up with a rebound. Knicks trail by five. Pass to Hart. Back to Towns and it’s Towns with the power finish. And yeah, this is what you’d like to see from Towns using his size and strength to make things happen. This will be his third trip to the free throw line. He could not find the mark from the free throw line in their last game. That’s his first personal first team foul. Carl Anthony Towns at the line. One shot and the free throw no good. Memphis leading by three. Here’s Mor. Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. It’s going to be on OG An Hanobi. Come on. This kid is electric. Mor draws a lot of fouls with the way he plays. First one falls for him. And one thing that Moran has always been a lead at finding a seam and a defense and getting to the Ram Graham. Yeah. Any crack allows him to get inside and as good as anyone at splitting a double which he sees a lot of. So once inside he can finish with authority or kick it out to a shooter and Mor drops them both. The boundless athleticism Morant has is really special. He’s someone that is always in attack mode. Pass to Hart outside Anobi. The three gets rebounded by Memphis. Ed’s got 15 rebounds here tonight. Mor looking around. Hart pulls it in. Hart’s got five rebounds in the game. Brunson with it. He’s covered by Caldwell Pope. Bridges passes to Brunson and the Knicks miss again. And so Moran will bring it up for Memphis. They’ve led by as many as 11. What determination from Moran in the paint getting his shot off despite being fouled. 17 elbow. This is his second trip to the line in the game. At the line, two shots. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots and he knocks down the first one. He does not get the second one. Knicks trail by six. Adanobi passes to Hart. Brunson taking his time here. Bridges left side to the left side wing. Towns cash money on the open jump shot. Towns has got four points this quarter. Taking his shot and Towns doesn’t think he just acts. Memphis calls timeout. Let’s give coach credit. He’s trying to find a way to squeeze the most out of every possession. Well, that’s the job, right? Your duty as a coach is to finesse your lineups so your guys get the best chance to succeed. Get ready everyone. You see yourself on the screen as you show up for the best. Let’s go. Let’s see. You will need dance lessons. Dancing the cheese. Heat. Heat. Give yourself a round of applause. A little over two and a half minutes off the clock in this final half of play. And it’s Morant missing. Knicks trail by four. Bridges outside. Back to Brunson. Launches it from deep. Oh wow. A bomb from Brunson. Pretty much the second Brunson gets the ball, he’s into motion and that’s how it’s done. All right, the pass to Aldama. Here’s Wells. Fires for three. Edy controls the rebound and the put back. He really gets in perfect position for the follow. Just a terrific read from the top of the key and Mor clears the board. Memphis leading by three. Jaw steps on the gas. Count it. And the foul. Defense. That’s on Male Bridges. Yeah, teams try to get physical with Moran, but he shows exceptional body control off the contact. He’s made three or four free throw attempts in this game. Find the lanes. Find the lanes. One shot. Just under three and 1/2 minutes played here in the third quarter. Bridges outside. Back to Brunson. Towns taking his time here. Grizzlies with the rebound. They’ve led by as many as 11. Here’s Wells. Nine points in the game. Morant drawing the double team. Here’s Ziti. Good. And the setup by Mor. And now an eight-point Grizzly lead. And great vision there to punish the double team. That was well executed. Here’s Brunson outside. Hart. Towns on a screen. Six to shoot. Hart passes to Towns to win the run and he lays it in. Towns has got 20 points. Hard to find fault with the D. Towns just beating them with better offense there. 71 outside Caldwell Pope Jacks up a three. Gets the three to fall. Calwell Pope’s got 16 points now. Easy look when the defender isn’t fighting over the screen. Yeah, it’s certainly worth it to disrupt the offense. Coaches notice that extra effort. Towns left side again. The Knicks. Good for two more. It’s easy money for Towns from 15 to 18 ft. Time out. Memphis and Male Bridges still one of the better wing defenders in the league. Grant. Yeah, he’s so great at pestering a shooter. Good lateral movement and wingspan makes him hard to get around. He might not be the best in the league, but he is well above average. Paul Dama the pass to Wells and MueL Bridges picks up the foul. That’s his fourth foul of the contest. Personal foul. And you got to be in awe of incredible defensive efforts like this. Let’s see if that block can amp up this team. I mean, they’re looking for anything to get themselves going. Pass to Wells to the paint. Here’s Caldwell Pope. Oh, a dunk and a foul. A powerhouse move. He’s got a chance for one more at the line. Jaylen Brunson picks one up. And let’s quickly check out the scoring breakdown here for the Grizzlies. Well, they’ve been owning the painted area offensively. I love the intensity they’re playing with down there. They’ve also been showing us standout play on the fast break, working as a team to create easy opportunities. And here’s Bridges. He’ll bring it up for New York. Trailing by 10. Pass to Brunson. Puts up a three. Oh, Brunson with the triple. You know, some threes look better than others. And Brunson’s lefty stroke from three is a beautiful thing. Mor finds Caldwell Pope. And there’s the whistle. The illegal screen is the call. The screener was leaning a bit right there. His feet may not have been planted. Pretty obvious call by the officials. Look, you can get away with a lot in terms of screens today, but you can’t make it that obvious. Knicks trail by seven. Outside Brunson. Towns outside. Back to Brunson. Fades back again. The Knicks good for two more. And I love the trust between Brunson and his guys. I mean, working so hard to set each other up. Oh, no good. The Knicks have gone eight of 15 in the third quarter and he goes in for the dunk. There’s a time on the rim. Puts a sweet cherry on top. Ba, it’s a close game and those displays of explosiveness can jumpst start a team. Pass to Edi. Now Caldwell Pope Aldama outside to the wing right side. Clock at six. Ooh, the Grizzlies with another miss. Well, this was his shot to miss, honestly. More coverage. Good setup. He just couldn’t knock it down. Hart the kick out to Brunson. Pass to Bridges. hard against Moran for the tie. Out to Bridges. Let’s go with a three. Here’s Towns and it’s powered home by Towns. And now that’s a momentum builder for sure. So important in a close game. Look at his teammates here. They love it. Plays like that going to get them going. Yes. Some guys shrink in big moments and some rise to the occasion. From the right block, the shot is good. Towns has got 26 points. And Towns is a big who plays like a guard at times. Exceptional off the dribble. Aldama outside to win the Colts fell. Tough points from John here in the second half. This game still nip and tuck. Just an insane amount of lead changes. The fans are getting their money’s worth. It’s Bridges on the wing by Aldo. Anobi can’t get it to go. Memphis leading. Pass to Mor. Back to Caldwell Pope. Mor with a screen on Brunson. Here’s Wells and Anobi covering. Wells. That’s good. Able to get a layup out of that one. That’s just soft defense there. Brunson passes to Bridges. And here’s Hart outside. Brunson. Towns right side. New York needs to get one up quick. The timer ticks. Anobi can’t get it to go. Grizzlies lead by three. out left to the wing. Alama outside Caldwell Pope for three. He’s got it going on now. Seven for 10. And the Knicks shooting an impressive 48% from the floor in the third quarter. And we’ll have a timeout called by Mike Brown. A moment to rest and confer on the game plan. They’re sending guys to the charity stripe way more than they should be. You’d like to see better positioning defensively. Both teams deciding to change it up. Give it up for me, man. Outside. Brunson. Clarkson outside. They need this. And he’ll draw the foul. He’ll head to the line for two. And part of being a scoring guard like Clarkson drawing fouls like there. These are his first free throws of the game. At the line, two shots. And that one falls for Clarkson. And at this stage of his career, Clarkson really knows his role. A highly effective scorer who looks to decimate defenses. Williams has checked in for Memphis. And so Clarkson nails both of them. Memphis leading by four. Here’s Pippen. Williams on the wing. To the middle. Clark. The pass to Jackson. Here’s Jerome. Just five on the clock from the ark. Pippen no good. Knicks shooting about 47%. A nice number. Clarkson for three. The Knicks rebound. Brunson a good look. The wide open shot is on the money. Brunson’s got 13 points here in the second half alone. Good play call and good execution. The offense running on all cylinders. Jackson outside. Pass to Pippen. Clark with the screen. The three ball. The Knicks with the rebound. 136 left in the third quarter here. Here’s McBride. A chance there to take the lead, but a miss. Clark. The pass to Pippen and stolen by Brunson. Pass to Clarkson. Here’s McBride. Here’s Robinson. And a big finish by Robinson. The NBA. He takes his rebounding so seriously. This dude is such a grinder. His teammates appreciate the effort. Just goes all out on the glass. Well, he gets paid to be a factor on the glass. That’s a nice dunk to finish it off. Robinson, a screen on Williams. Clarkson for three. Fires in the triple. Clarkson’s got five points now in the quarter. And as a ball handler, Clarkson knows how to outwork the defense and make those openings for himself. Pass to Jerome. And he’s going to the line for two. The officials saw contact while he was going up. He’s gone two for two at the line so far. Tyro at the line. Two shots shooting two. And the first one at the line is good. And that one goes in. Two from the line that time. And Brunson’s got the ball here for the New York Knicks. It’s a one-point game and it’s going to be out of bounds. New York will have another go. There’s 25 seconds left in the third. Pass to McBride. And there’s a pick. This one for three. And again, New York with the triple. And it’s amazing. Neither team has been able to hold the lead for any length of time. Yeah, these guys are leaving it all on the floor tonight. Now, Jackson 96 94. Two on the clock. Can’t cast it in. And as we finish the third quarter, it’s still close. Both teams trading buckets. New York out in front, leading by just two. All right, we’re going to step aside for just a second, but join us right back here for the start of quarter number four. And now we have a moment to reveal our State Farm assist of the game. And from the two guard spot, an unselfish play like this sets a fantastic tone. Yeah, well, he looked like a pass first point guard on this assist. Incredible instinct to feel the play develop and set up the score. Three tense quarters behind us, one more to go. Thanks for being with us as we get ready for the fourth on the court for Memphis. They’ve got Williams. GG Jackson is out there with Brandon Clark. Then it’s Ty Jerome and it’s Pippen in a shooting guard to the paint. Here’s Clark and some very quick points for him on that possession. And the Knicks shooting 47% on this one. Looking efficient. Clarkson for three. Here’s Robinson and he battles for the ball. Gets his second chance bucket. Plays like that make a coach’s life easy. Love the work rate he shows on the glass to get the score. Here’s Jerome. McBride covers. Jerome passes to Clark with the fadeaway. It’s hauled in by Robinson. Robinson’s got rebound number seven tonight. We played just over a minute here in the fourth. McBride. The second effort goes up again. The basket drops and he gets fouled on the shot. One free throw coming his way. Can’t ask for a better look with the game in the balance. All right, guys. What do you think about the offensive approach we’ve seen so far for the Knicks? Well, they’ve been absolutely on fire from deep. And until the defense offers more resistance, the coaches are going to keep encouraging them to let it fly. And they’ve also been in the zone with the mid-range jumper. The defense has given them space and they haven’t hesitated to rise and fire. Oh, free throw no good for Robinson. Grizzlies trail by four. Pass to Pippen. Here’s Jerome from downtown. drops in the three. That’s exactly the kind of shooting you need down the stretch to win games. Bridges outside. Robinson in the post working on Clark. Robinson gets the bucket. That’s exactly what you work for, a high percentage look. The Grizzlies have gone two of three to open the fourth quarter. Williams on the wing. The three-pointer off the mark. Defense dodged a bullet that time. Total breakdown. Three-pointer. Bridges sends it home from three-point land. And now a six-point New York lead. They’re picking his spots. Bridges does a great job of letting the game come to him. Jerome passes to Williams. Back to Jerome. And he banks in the layup. As a defender, you have to get more physical with him in the post. Yeah, once he gets the ball in that spot, help has to be very quick to rotate over. Back to McBride out of bounds. It’ll be Memphis’s ball. Just a superb read on defense to come up with a block. And this is exactly why he’s out here, in order to block shots in tight games like this. Just over two and a half minutes played now. Final quarter of regulation. Here’s Jerome McBride covers. Robinson with the block. Oh, it’s blocked. It deflects off the backboard. Bridges against Clark. Williams on the wing. Pass to Jackson. Six on the shot clock. Memphis needs to get off a shot. Bridges feeling it out a little bit from 11 ft away outside. McBride from behind the ark. New York no good that time either. Well, he’s trying to shoot his way out of it from distance, but look, he’s got to find something easier. Jackson, the pass to Jerome. Williams on the wing. Clark with a screen on Bridges down low. Deflects the pass. I had a foul called on the way up. So, he’ll take two from the free throw line. It’s going to go on Mitchell Robinson. I don’t mind that. I mean, they met him at the rim and temporarily prevented the points. Shooting two. The first one falls and some changes here for New York. Towns comes in for Robinson and it’s Anobi in for Clarkson. and he makes both free throws. New York has gone only one of four from the perimeter here in this fourth quarter. McBride passes to Bridges. Here’s Yaveelli outside. McBride inside for three. Bridges. That one’s good. And it’s Towns with the assist. Towns has got three assists now in this one. Grizzlies trail by five. Here’s Jerome. And it’s New York with a rebound. Towns has got 14. Yep. 14 rebounds for him tonight. McBride attacking. It’s rebounded by Memphis. Aldama’s got six rebounds now in the game. Here’s Wells and he drains it. A solid five for six now. New York leading by three outside McBride. Bridges outside. Here’s Towns and that one’s good. Towns has got 28 points for the game and lately this guy is finding points. I mean, just a beautiful second chance bucket right there. Well, he’s been doing a great job of making something out of nothing, especially on the offensive glass. Calwell Pope shot is off. That was a good look from the mid-range. He’d like to have that one back. Here’s Towns. Fails the 16-footer. Now it’s a seven-point New York lead. He’s really finding his rhythm here. I mean, smart move to keep feeding him the ball. Yeah, when you have a guy playing like he has been recently, he’s got to be the first option on every possession. Shot clock at six. Oh, and Towns with the block and the ball goes out of bounds. Last touch by Towns. Jerome passes to Aldama. Clock at two. Here’s Wells. Another basket. He’s now six for seven in the contest. And it’s the Knicks with the ball. Leading by five outside. McBride beyond the ark. Up again. Oh, he hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. Terrific timing by Town. He’s right there to collect the ball and slam it down. Here’s Jerome. Got it. Good job in the low post. Knicks leading by five. Now Bridges. Oh, plenty of contact on that shot. Officials call the foul and he’ll take two free throws. Now you love the assertiveness Bridges plays with accepting contact while he’s trying to score. Bridges at the line. Two shots. And the first one at the line is good. Harts checked in for New York. Jaylen Brunson comes in for McBride. Ed’s checked in for Memphis. Morant comes in for Jerome. And so he makes both from the line. Grizzlies trail by seven. Pass to Edy. And here’s Mor. Here’s Edy. Five to shoot. Doubled by Towns from deep. Morant. Oh, Morant sinks the triple. Yeah, we’re seeing Mor get more and more comfortable operating off the ball. Bridges outside. the outside Brunson fires it and again the Knicks missing. Those are precisely the looks this team is trying to create. Yeah, quality offense will serve you well in the long run. You can’t settle for bad shots. Moran against Hart. Back to Alama right wing. Here’s Mor and it’s rebounded by Carl Anthony Towns and Towns has got the ball here for the New York Knicks. Four-point game and blocked. That one goes careening off the glass. Here’s Wells. He’s covered by Hart. Pass to Edy. Oh, stolen by Anobi to the inside. Out to Bridges. Baseline jumper. Count it. Towns has got 34. Oh my. You have to respect the aggressiveness he plays. Now Caldwell Pope. There’s the drive. Five on the clock. Mor finds Caldwell Pope. No good on the triple. Knicks leading by six. Pass to Brunson. Towns with the ball. The fadeaway. And the shot no good. A bit short. And I don’t understand why is he going to the fade away. Just go straight up with it. Wells. The pass to Moran. hard with the defensive effort. And for the Knicks, they’re shooting 46%, a decent average so far. A bit undersized. His hops make him a legit small ball four. Grizzlies trail by eight. Time out. Grizzlies. You have to like what we’re seeing from Carl Anthony Towns. He’s been on a mission, attacking the basket all game long. I’m curious to see what adjustments they can make. Big round of applause for your city. It’s time now to hear from our reporter Ally Leforce. Thanks, guys. Head coach of the Grizzlies had some words for his team over the break. He wants his team to be careful with the ball. He’s not happy with the amount of turnovers they’ve coughed up so far. He believes if they focus on being more patient on offense, that will help cut down on the giveaways. Guys, back to you. All right, Ally. Thanks once again. Alama outside. Good. And the setup by Mor. Morance’s got six assists now in the game. Well, he knew he had the size advantage to dominate the defense there. Go right at him. Brunson against Caldwell Pope. Brunson with the finish inside. Now he may only be 6’1, but Brunson plays much bigger than that. I mean, he plays with a physicality. Hard against Moran out to the right wing. Lets the three fly. Oh, no good. Knicks leading by eight. Here’s Towns. Played it in with a nice touch off the window. Towns just got 10 points in the quarter and it gets even worse for them. I mean, he just walts down the lane extending their advantage. Not good. Well, it’s not going to get any easier if they can’t improve their defensive intensity. They got to show some fight. Bridges outside. 16 ft out. Towns can’t get it to go. Grizzlies trail by 10. Pass to Moran. That shot missing. Hard with the defensive effort and the Knicks shooting at a reasonable 46% this fourth and the clock will wind down on this one. Just a solid effort and a good win for the Knicks. I was really impressed with their attitude today, Grant. Competitive game. They battled through every step of the way. NBA, can you say big time effort and energy? I mean, just a tremendous performance. They were welld deserving of this win. And of all the highlights and performances we’ve seen here tonight, the one thing that stands out is what an unbelievable night it’s been for Carl Anthony Towns. Well, bottom line, he was just unstoppable at times. Not much you can do when he’s playing with that kind of confidence. Just five on the clock on the tape and the bucket counts and he is on his way to the line. He’ll try to make it a three-point play. Defensive foul. John Wright. First personal foul. 13 foul. Josh Hart at the line. One shot. Here’s Mor. And so New York takes this one by a big margin, showing that they’re the far superior team. They win it going away. I’ll tell you what, give it up for their fans. They love to watch this team dominate. You best believe they’re all going home happy tonight. But folks, that’s going to do it for now. Alongside Stan Van Gundy, Grant Hill, and Ally Leforce, this is Brian Anderson saying thanks for tuning in to the NBA on 2K Sports. And now, let’s take a look at our player of the game, Carl Anthony Towns.
Now that 2K redeemed themselves with NBA 2K25 with such amazing changes with the gameplay, realistic player movements, better graphics (if not then better than the previous ones) better commentary and many more. I am completely amazed NBA 2K25 but I’m pretty sure some of you are just like me that is not very pleased and contented with the game, so down below I will have my wish list for the upcoming NBA 2K26.
MY WISH LIST FOR NBA 2K26:
1. More Realistic Graphics and Movements (they did well with the player signature etc)
2. Realistic Players, Coaches and Fans Reaction. (maybe too much to ask for every play but maybe in some amazing plays like a buzzer beater or a poster staring down someone and gets a technical just like how today’s NBA)
3. Personal commentators for each teams + playoffs or finals. (is it too much to ask?)
4. Make the commentators feel more alive commentating for each plays like what WWE 2K22 did.
5. Make my career story more interesting and longer.
Well if you have something to add to our wish list feel free to comment down below!
