Damian Lillard Is Finally Coming Home

After failing to ring chase with Giannis, Damen Lillard is finally going back home to Portland. I know Blazers fans are probably super excited to have Dame back, especially now that he gets to play alongside Scoot Henderson, Yang Hansen, and Donovan Klingan, but I will say this contract is kind of crazy to me, specifically the no trade clause. But then again, he probably plans to retire with the team, so I’m just kind of overreacting. I think what’s most exciting about Dame being back in Portland, though, is that nobody really expects him to be the guy that carries them to the finals. Instead, he gets to kind of sit back and be more of a mentor for all the young guys on the roster and can help build that culture for this new Blazers team, which is probably something we will see him do when he retires. I mean, is it crazy to think that Dame will just join the Blazers coaching staff once he’s done? The craziest part about all of this though is the fact that the Bucks gave up their 2029 first round pick and two first round swaps in order to get Dame just for them to wave him a couple of years later and the Blazers pick him back up for Three.

  1. Bro forgot deni avdija existed !?
Cause he was the best player on the team this season he deserves some respect so you can at least mention him!

  2. The no trade clause is also there because nobody knows how the new ownership situation will shake out. New owners often want to shape their new team their way. Dame is on a very tradable contract just with how short it is and the fact that it's right at the MLE.

  3. How is bro mentioning donovon clingan and doesn’t mention deni avdija he’s currently the best player on the team

  4. Bro is the Mike trout of NBA. Plays with a horrible team (hopefully not horrible in the future) and doesn’t care about legacy

  5. The Blazers are such a doormat franchise to let this guy have 42 mil just to sit on the bench for almost a full season. That money could have gone to a legit role player. But fine, whatever…eat up the nostalgia for Dame. It's pretty dumb tho.

  6. Had Scoot lived up to being the #3 pick in the 2023 draft this could have been such a dangerous back-court but Scoot has not lived up to the hype at all. (12 7ppg 5ast)
