LeBron’s strange power move 🏀 #shorts

LeBron’s strange desire to back door the Lakers with a power move out of LA continues to make zero sense. These are the rumored destinations with the favorite being Dallas. Now, this isn’t going to happen because the Mavs aren’t dumb enough to blow up the roster for one year 40-year-old LeBron. But the question remains, what is LeBron’s motive here? Keep in mind, the Lakers are fresh off winning 50 games and finishing third in the West in a season where one of the best players in the world joined the team for only 28 of the games. It was obvious they had a hole at center and a strange physical blocked the Mark Williams trade, but they fixed it by going out and adding DeAndre Aton, a 26-year-old who’s already proved he can be the anchor in a team that wins the West. Now, beyond the three former number one overall picks, we had Ruy and Reed to the picture. Who was looking at this starting five and arguing it’s not top five in the league, apparently LeBron. Why else would he want out? We’re talking about a guy who’s been very vocal that what he wants at this point of his career is an opportunity to win titles. Maybe he’s seeing something I’m not. Or maybe he’s got a problem with Luca being the new focal point of the franchise. It’s confusing, but regardless, he’s not going anywhere. He’s 40 years old. His contract is extremely difficult to trade for, and the Lakers are built around him being a Laker.

  1. The really difficult part is that they have no real control. They probably want to get some assets to build around LeBron, but with him on the team, it’s more of a gamble for the future to win now. To make it worse, LeBron is the only player in the league with a no-trade clause, so he would have to approve really of any trade.

  2. I don't think anyone is going to argue that the Lakers don't have a good starting 5, but the huge issue is their bench depth. We just came off a finals where both teams were running 10 man rotations at times, and the best bench guy for the Lakers is Jarred Vanderbilt or Gabe Vincent. They barely have a 6th or 7th man, which is why no one will take them seriously.

  3. This brother really told me that Ayton is a playoff NBA Center😂😂😂😂
If I was LeBron the fact that my team signed Ayton would have me packing the bags faster

  4. Are we sure the mavs aren't dumb enough to do something? Especially given what they've done in the last calendar year?

  5. That starting 5 is so bad defensively there’s no way they make it out of the second round without changes

  6. Top 5 starting 5s in now particular order
    OKC
    Houston
    New York
    Boston
    Cleveland
You can argue Boston but I still think they have a slight edge

  7. I don’t think he wants out I think he wants to vent frustration. He’s got a lot of issues I don’t agree with but him mentioning the lack of direction the team has since the Russel Westbrook trade is dead on. Looking at all of the lakers moves since the you can’t tell whether they are trying to win now or build for it. I’m sure they aren’t telling LeBron either even though he says “I want to win now”. Overall as a lakers hate I’m happy because they can’t win shit and won’t win shit with the way they are running things right now

  8. I really don't think LeBron has any problems with the Lakers. I think Rich Paul just likes the sound of his own voice and is yapping to anyone who wants to hear it. This happens every offseason

  9. As a mavs fan, LeBron needs to go to Cleveland for a real shot at a title. The west is so loaded that it’s dumb if he goes to Dallas. Though if we can fleece the lakers someway somehow, then sure. It we’re not going to. LeBron to Cleveland.

  10. Lebron had an out but decided to use his player option to stay there… He's in it for the money because his bust bud rich Paul will get him that trade out of la…

Bron is just going out sad, even Jordan on the wizards was better than that and he did it as a GM too… The team was that terrible

  11. Surely the Mavs wouldn’t make a highly controversial trade with the lakers for a player on the 2020 bubble team while also jeopardizing their future (if this trade happens please send money so I can get therapy)

  12. Guy who knows nothing about Deandre Ayton but checked his basketball reference page and saw that he went to one Finals: he's proven he can be the anchor for a team that wins the west

  13. If I was the Lakers, I would want to get rid of him too. He has a massive contract and trading him for pieces would be amazing for the future of the lakers, and having more pieces around Luka would help them win a chip.

  14. He’s 40, he’s delusional and he’s also a loser. Nobody wants this dude, certainly not even Laker fans. Just retire already.

  15. If he really wanted to leave for a title he shouldn't have taken that player option. That contract is impossible to trade for and keep a decent roster.

  16. "the Mavs aren't dumb enough" I mean, this is the same Mavs front office that traded Luka to the Lakers for Anthony Davis and a bag of chips
