Knicks May Have Found a Hidden GEM ๐Ÿ‘€

Knicks fans, did the Knicks just steal a hidden gem last year and we’re only finding out now? According to Fred Catz of the Athletic, internal metrics from Knicks practices show that Pakome. Shooting has been off the charts good. Like top of the team type good. He didn’t get to show it much in summer league this year because of that toe injury in game two, but behind the scenes, this dude’s stock is quietly rising. And how about Dink Pate? This guy just finished summer league with a bang. 20 points, 10 rebounds, four threes, and a whole lot of confidence. At just 19, the Knicks are locking him in on a two-way deal. But could both of these guys be long-term rotation pieces? The upside is real.

Fred Katz just dropped a MAJOR report: Knicks rookie Pacome Dadiet has been shooting lights out in practice, and internal team metrics say itโ€™s elite. Plus, Dink Pate exploded in the final Summer League game and looks like a future steal.

  1. Are YOU excited about Pacomeโ€™s future after hearing this inside info?! Cause I am! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ”ฅ

  2. Great info to hear. Thanks for the update KNYT! And thanks to Fred for dropping this nugget! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ฏ

  3. least minutes of any first round pick in the entire NBA last year. all that needs to be said. you get less nervous the more you play! ๐Ÿคฃ

  4. This is why Thibs had to go. You can't keep spending money on vets and never develop cost controlled players that you draft.

  5. Hopefully Dadiet can give more than set shot offense. Some ball handling would be awesome as we dont really have that. Pate might need to fix that jumper, it looks awkward. He has some athletic ability.

  6. I used to be a thibs supporter. I always thought: โ€œHey maybe we shouldnโ€™t fire a coach that brought this franchise back from the nba depths of hell with his culture building.โ€ But as time went onโ€ฆit started going โ€œdownhillโ€ as people would say. I get it, not trusting rookies i understand but player development is important and the knicks realized this. Was the firing under bad optics yes! Absolutely this situation should have been handled more carefully. Hearing Ike brown being more opened minded is music to my ears. And the knicks are leaning more into there offensive identity. Thats awesome! Cant wait for the sophomore to develop as the season goes on.

  7. Iโ€™m a big fan of Dink Pate. I watched him play a ton for the G-League Ignite team while he was there, heโ€™s one of those rare players that makes man to man defense look fun to watch.

  8. I won't get excited about anything related to the Knicks unless they find a way to dak with Kat's defensive deficiencies

  9. Still early but Dink just looks better skill wise over Dadiet. Would need to see more of them to really see who has taken a step up.
